You went to one of Beth's parties? Girl, spill that tea! (In her thread, of course.)

Well we’re all at ther parties thanks to SM. Interesting to me is we are not at Andy’s parties on SM. He described them in great detail in his books but no insta. Bethenny last had Andy in a shot shortly after she moved in. There was a tour of the roof top and you could here Andy in the background.

That's pretty cool. I didn't know that.

I'm all for light and fluffy, and she has an ability to float from faction to faction, without looking like a suckup or engaging, which I like. Now if she could stop acting like the most desperate woman in the world over the Coupon Cabin King , giving me second hand shame and a slight disgust of her, I'd be championing her as one of my favorite howives.

Tinsley's really grown on me. I really liked her in Columbia, especially on the boat trip. I would want her around in a scary situation, she would calm me, unlike the rest of the screeching gibbons. I found her sunny and easy-going throughout.

Can't stand that Ramona calls her LuMan. What did Lu ever do to Ramona really? however, even as I just defended Lu, I always thought she was just beastly to Alex. I can't forget the lunch they had together after Morocco, when Alex attempted to tell her off or at least clear the air...Lu sliced and diced her in 2 seconds. It wasn't even a close fight, she had no respect for Alex, and showed it... however...I never liked Alex. lol. I find myself flip-flopping on all of them so often. I guess that's what makes the show compelling. I just like a fair fight. I don't like when they hit below the belt-I remember the comment lu made to Carole about her not having children, then laughed in her face about it...so incredibly cruel,  there was real pain that flashed in Carole's eyes. I was disgusted when Bethenny went after lu with such viciousness at Dorinda's a couple seasons ago, I also remember Ramona's hits to Bethenny last season at Dorinda's, totally nasty and disproportionate...they all win me and then lose me and then win me every year. It's a ramonacoaster with all of them at one time or another.

Yeah, I flip flop on all the housewives.  Ramona has a earned a permanent spot on my" I can't stand her list". But for the most part, I like some one season then really dislike their behavior the next.  I can't take it too seriously anymore. I can be disgusted by one person and feel sympathy for the other, then boom they switch spots lol.

Your whole post is exactly how I feel.

The only housewife I liked and never really changed my opinion was Heather.  She was only on couple seasons but I follow her on instagram and I still get good energy from her.

I get the impression that show is one and done.  I think Bravo thinks people love Beth much more than they actually do.  She's had more failed shows that successes.

I like her generally, but have never watched a minute of any of her shows or bought any of her products or have any desire to do so. I just think anything outside of real housewives is too much Bethenny.

I just remembered something really vicious Lu pulled on Ramoner. She had a front row seat to the psychic telling Ramoner that Mario was cheating...they got divorced months later. I think Lu actually found that psychic and set that whole thing up. On camera. It's pretty amazing how evil they are to each other.

Yep. I've always thought this, although I think that it was a set by both Luann and Jill. The psychic was found where Jill's sidekick Brad was staying who she just "happened to run into" while on holiday thousands of miles away from New York. Jill and Ramona were in the middle of a huge feud at that point. I think the women knew Mario was cheating and wanted it brought up on camera. The whole situation was classic Jill, engineering one of her "people" to screw with the other wives behind the scenes of the show. I think Bethenny learned a lot from Jill... I'll never believe one of her friends just "happened" to be in the same place that Tom was caught cheating on Luann! Maybe this is the real reason why Carole is leaving, she wants to get out before Beth tries to set her up for some sort of disaster.

I took two courses in art history for my undergraduate degree to fulfill my humanities requirements. I agree that it's really a difficult subject. There's tons of memorization and details from each period that you have to be able to recognize. The course on classical/traditional AH also included a lot of architecture (e.g. flying buttresses, friezes, etc.) I actually loved those classes and still have one of the book (why? I dunno.) We had a great instructor, which made it more interesting and tolerable. That said, two semesters were enough for me. I don't think I could handle 4+ years of it. I live in the Midwest and there would be absolutely nowhere to go with a degree in that field.

I have known many Adams in my life, only as friends or classmates. One used to smoke pot on the high school smoking patio on the break before geometry class. He sat in front of me and would always bum my Jovan Musk Oil  (I am really dating myself!) because he thought it concealed the MJ odor ...

I'm not sure I understand what you are saying.  That Beth didn't suffer anything because people are immunized?  Because there's a recent racist remark where a famous actress/comedian lost her network show.   Or are you saying that her comments weren't really as racist ("racist terms are used for practically everything these days"  Now, I would argue that the comedian who lost her show's comment was worse than Beth's.  Although comparing yourself to black women because you are loud is pretty fucking bad.

I do think there's selective outrage on racism, sexism, homophobic remarks. Some celebrities are going to lose work, some skate by.  Not sure I understand it.  I think Beth gets away with things because her legion of fans buy into her "Zero Fucks Given" thing (although clearly you can see based on her behavior she gives many fucks about a lot of things).

Just wanted to add that I found that Carole and Tinsley scene rather jarring as well.  Months ago on WWHL Carole did mention - I forget the exact context - that she and Tins were not 'thick as theives' contrary to what Bethenny was saying.  Poor Tinsley, it must have sucked for her hear that.

i don't mind Tinsley at all.  Sure she is vapid but she brought a lot of comic relief to an otherwise dark season.   I do believe that her silly- little-girl act is just an act.  Seeing how traditional her mother is, she'd probably been taught since an early age to downplay her intelligence in order to be more attractive to men.

Loved the scene of B and LuAnn at Bite Beauty.  Not their catty conversation, I liked seeing the lab that I'd always been curious about.  I love their products and am OBSESSED with their liquid lipstick, I have like every color.

scary about Dennis.  He knew he was overdosing because he asked his housekeeper to get him some Narcan? omg :-(. Very sad for Bethenny but I hope she doesn't make it her storyline net season.

If Dennis felt that bad, why didn’t he just call 911 ?  They would have arrived with their bag of tricks and possibly saved his life.  Didn’t want publicity?  Too late now, unfortunately.

I might have forgotten what John did that was so sleazy and slimy in past years. Why do people not like him?  All I can see is that he's loyal to Dorinda who is awful to him. She talks about him like he's disposable. As if his main job in her life is to be there and that's good enough for her.  Well what about him? Okay so he's not the most good looking guy ever.  He's balding, he's overweight but so what?  THat probably describes most men his age.  From all I've seen of their relationship she doesn't deserve him ..at all!  He makes a good living. He is always there for her. He treats her well and during all that she brings up her dead husband's name all the name and reveres him.  I seriously thought they were married for decades not 6 years.  That one line she gave him about how the length of their relationship equaled to her marriage to the sainted Richard was disgusting.  Maybe she opens doors for him into the higher society population for higher end customers.  I hope so. I hope he is seriously getting something more than good sex with Dorinda.  AT least I'm hoping the sex is good b/c seriously what else does she offer him?

I think it's because he's been handsy with other castmates and has said some sexual creepy things.

Were it not for that, I don't think people would dislike him as much.  He deserves much better than a woman who treats him like he doesn't deserve her, as if he doesn't hold a candle to her late husband, and whose function seems to only be to get her dresses and be around b/c no one else seems to want to take her on.

Same. Total bummer. This is an escape for me.  That said, this season has been less of one than the NYC franchise usually is. The one thing I've always loved about NYC is that they can battle each other like total lunatics and then very quickly move on and have inappropriate fun together like lunatics. Way too much bone carrying this season for my taste. I've also always loved all of the women even when I haven't liked one of them that much at that moment. But Carole's tweets and blogs this season really bummed me out. Hoping for a better time next season.

I can barely watch the John scenes because Dorinda is so mean to him. And I don't even like him, but damn.

This is Trump Tower.  Even if POTUS is not there, there is loads of security around, and doormen, and staff, etc.  I find it hard to believe that a personal employee was sent two blocks away (closest drugstore) to a drugstore for Narcan.   Dennis is the type to have made connections in the building with the staff, I'm guessing.  Someone could have brought help sooner.  WE'll probably never know the whole story.

I think she heard one comment long ago in the past on how she kinda/vaguely/sorta resembles Diana with her haircut and all and she’s been sticking with it since. I’m sure in her pickled mind she thought, “Whyeshhh, Idoolooli Princshess Di (insert more unintelligible slurred words here) and imjushhasshclasshhy”.

I'm terrified that I seem to be understanding the Drunkish dialect of Dorindaese.

I'm transparent.

It's the boy that cried "wolf"

Too many statements are deemed racist when they are not.

When a true racist statement is uttered...folks shrug it off.

This is my final statement on the subject...

Debating bores me.

I do understand what you are saying about crying wolf.  I just wasn't sure if that's what you meant.  And since I've only asked you what you meant by your comments, I'm not sure I understand why you seem bothered that someone asked for clarification on something you posted in a forum where we typically comment back and forth.  Wasn't asking you for a debate.

Well, maybe it’s better she didn’t have kids.  She would lose her control, lose her temper, lose her “ cool” and lose her mind.  For sure.

This is such a cruel sentiment.  Luann's kids were raised by the maid, she got roaring drunk and took a random to the wrong room, was combative enough to require the police, she assaulted the police, ran screaming she would kill them, and got a rich white lady slap on the wrist.  Now we've discovered she's stolen her children's fortune.  I've not read one comment that maybe Lu shouldn't have had kids.

There are plenty of people on these shows who've shown they should not have kids, it shouldn't be necessary to speculate about hypothetical children.  And by the way, some of the most selfish people I know are parents, and the angriest.  Just saying.

I also flip flop on the housewives.  I sometimes watch old episodes and remember, oh yeah I HATED so and so at the time, but now I like her.  That's why I wish TWOP was still around, so I could go back and read my old posts.  I am sure I defended some people - who I now hate.

Oh, and Jill is the only person who never made me flip flop.  I have always hated her.  ALWAYS WILL!

Wow!  Were you in an office?  I can't imagine that, at work!  I have seen people crush and snort pills, but I would think someone would go out to her car or the bathroom stall at least.

Yes! I liked Jill first season and really detested her right after. I was a regular on the. 'I hate Jill zarin' web site, may Lynn RIP. I think the only housewife I'm consistently loyal to is Vanderpump-- so far. I'm not sure who to root for at reunion, I hope they all get a good ass-kicking for one thing or another, except maybe Tinsley The Butterfly, fluttering through life...she's the only one that's been pretty harmless...

my boss was a mess. We were all shocked that she wasn't doing her thang in her car or bathroom, we all said the same thing. I guess that's addiction for you, you lose all sense of how you appear to everyone around you, you think you are fooling everyone. She would fall asleep at her desk as well everyday. It was my only brush with drug use up close, thank goodness. I will say, she was the best boss I ever had because she was too wasted to micromanage me.

Dorinda was enamored by his smarts, influential friends, money and who he knew and where they went all over the world.  It was the perfect glorious life that ended after five years.  John is just a chump who takes her to dinner and listens to her rambling and gets her clothes.

You are so right! He introduced her to a fabulous, glamorous life with glamorous people! This is not the world dorinda came from, I don't think her family was wealthy. I remember the episode with Dorinda and Carole and her husband's ashes in London. The meet up in the hotel with Dorinda's friends from that time with Richard, long gone by. They all seemed so sophisticated and elegant and lush. Even the lighting was beautiful and they all looked amazing and seemed almost fictional, elevated...I was heartbroken for her then. It seemed like a world she's not a part of anymore...now she's with john, scavenging for left-over couture in the back of a dry cleaners, probably a dress one of those London women would have left behind. It's straight-up Edith Wharton novel....no wonder she drinks. I think I would too. :(

Bash away. But this quote says it all.

(Sigh) ... It was a joke and I never belittled it. I think Columbia is a very difficult school to get into, no matter who you are (although connections always help). Get off your high-horse.

John had high end customers before he hooked up with Dorinda.    Not too long ago someone ???  Posted a link to an article about John here on the forum.   It might have been one run in the NY Times but I'm not sure.   Anyway it was a fascinating read about John and his business.    He doesn't need her to help his business.

Hopefully, whoever posted the link will see this and post it again.

It was me.

Dorinda's first husband was not exactly chicken feed either.  He now lives in Greenwich, CT in a very expensive home.  He is a big deal investment banker, not prominent as was Medley but still able to offer the very good life.  I would imagine that many of the friends Dorinda met in London were from her time living there with Lynch.  He is Hannah's father.  He's remarried to a Sotheby's broker.   So Dorinda would be living rather well with either of her two hubbies.  Lots of big time players live in Greenwich.

Got it! Didn't know all of her history. Thanks! It's obvious she's missing her old life. Her saying to Bethenny that this is not how she thought she would end up, or words to that effect, was so sad, so simple yet poignant. I'm beginning to get her.

I can imagine her waking up one morning and thinking, omg, I'm on a tv show where I get sloppy-drunk and fight with other women. It's almost like she used to move in the upper echelons of society, then found herself mud-wrestling at the strip club under the overpass...
