I don't even see how anger management is that personal an issue since it was filmed for the show.  I don't even know why that would be humiliating.  A simple statement to the effect of "yes I'm in anger management, I'm making a lot of progress.  I think I'd be fine on the trip, but if it will make you feel more comfortable, I don't have to go on the trip.  I'll let you all decide and tell Phaedra.  Oh, I'm getting an important call, gotta run, it was nice catching up"

If none of the other women have to explain what they will or will not do on the trip, neither does Porsha.  My expertise is psychology and yes, even an anger management session is a very personal therapy session that Porsha need not and should not discuss publicly.  If they did not want her on the trip they could have simply said so.  It wasn't an issue until Kenya brought it up and then demanded Porsha give details.  Until Kenya get the mental help she needs, there is no reason she is in any way privy to someone else's mental health progress.

Didn't Porsha do a session with cameras in the room? Not saying that because she did it once that she's obligated to discuss the details or her progress with anyone, but I'm just wanting to clarify if I'm recalling correctly. Or it could have just been a quick check in type of meeting and not a actual therapy session.

I think there is a hard line at physical violence and words.  Its a hard line that I draw, its a hard line that society generally draws.

Should anyone follow anyone out of a restaurant?  No.  But is that on the same level as physical assault? No.

And for me, its not really a close call.

I don't think Porsha has shown any self awareness if she continues to deny she is at fault for physically attacking Kenya.  No matter how "provoked" she felt by Kenya's words.

Almost the first words out of Porsha's mouth are the same ones I heard years ago "you apologized, not me." as if by merely not apologizing she was somehow in the right.  I mean, she won't take a scintilla of accountability for her own violent behavior, so how much has she really grown?

She got up and left when Kandi told her to "piggyback her ass" up out of there, and when she saw that half the table was curious about her anger management.  She may feel empowered when she has the support of others the way she did at the reunion.  Her friend Phaedra wasn't saying much of anything to support her.  Neither was her friend Sheree.

I mean, that's all well and good, but it seems like giving Kenya a pass for her actions at the table.  Porsha's actions showed that she has taken steps to remedy her behavior.  She got up and walked away while Kenya continually jabbed, slung insults and then got up and followed her.  At that point, I don't see how anyone can still say Kenya doesn't own some of the responsibility for what happens to her?

She has shown herself to provoke others into reactions.  Yes, they should own the fact that they react, but she should own the fact that she can never shut the hell up and let someone off the hook for something they have done.

She's done it with Nene, she called Matt up and did it to him and she's repeatedly done it to Porsha.  If Porsha has to answer for her violence, then why doesn't Kenya have to answer for the fact that she pushes people until they break?  Porsha has shown violence a few times, she will never own that with Kenya.  And really, why should she?  Had Porsha said "Yes, I am in anger management."  Kenya would have simply kept at her about it, "Well what are you doing?  Well what have you done to fix the situation?  Well what is your therapist saying?"  Because Porsha understands that Kenya can never and will never let.it.go.  Porsha's mental situation and what she's doing to fix it are NONE of Kenya's business but she feels she's entitled to know simply because Porsha took her down a couple years ago.  Yet, she's been on vacation after vacation with Porsha and not felt the need to bring up her anger.

It suited Kenya to bring it up now.  To start an argument that didn't need to be started.  And to stick it to Porsha again because she and Phaedra are now becoming friends and she wants to irritate Porsha with it.

And can we stop with the "society deems it reprehensible to put any ownership on a woman who is abused by a man for pushing him into it".  We're not talking about a woman who has repeatedly been beaten to a pulp by a man who can't handle the fact that she didn't load the dishwasher correctly or she folded his underwear wrong and therefore he felt "provoked".  We're talking about a woman who has shown a propensity for delighting in pushing others to a breaking point and got her ass handed to her for doing it to the wrong person.  Kandi, Nene, Sheree and others on this show have also shown a violent side with their words.  None of these women is a saint that can point a finger at anyone else.

Kandi claims she's not fake, but Nene was on WWHL and said that she and Kandi have been trying to form a friendship.  Now, wasn't Kandi's main problem with Phaedra her newfound relationship with Nene?  So it's okay to forge new friendships, as long as it's her doing it and nobody else?  Two faced bitch!  And we all know the only problem she has with Porsha is the fact that Porsha and Phaedra have become close.  Kandi is so transparent.  She's so jealous of any friendship Phaedra has with anyone else.  She's childish and low class.  And I don't blame Porsha for having an issue with Kandi cussing at her all of the time.  Porsha hasn't done anything to warrant Kandi's wrath other than being friends with Phaedra.  Nasty heffa!

No.  It was that Phaedra intimately confided to a woman that neither was close to, nor trusted, while simultaneously complaining to other people that their closeness seemed as though it was waning.   In other words, she told a non friend what she refused to tell her actual friend, while lamenting that they must not be close friends anymore.

About Nene she has said before that they'll never be friends, but that she's capable of being cordial.   Andy asked Nene which housewife she keeps in contact with.   She said:

http://www.bravotv.com/watch-what-happens-live-with-andy-cohen/season-14/episode-14/videos/on-a-nene-to-know-basis

http://www.bravotv.com/watch-what-happens-live-with-andy-cohen/season-14/episode-14/videos/nene-leakes-phaedra-parks

In the name of this friendship, what Porsha did, according to Kandi was try to read her for filth for exposing who Phaedra is.   And she should be read that's a filthy act.   The attempt failed because Porsha pulled at the wrong thread.   She could've said Kandi you and Phaedra were close once, it's beneath you and a disservice to the friendship you once had to be digging up graves like this now that it's over.   Instead the thread she chose was you're lying on Phaedra and as her friend I have to tell you I don't appreciate it.    Now that brain shit got in Porsha's way again, she done forgot that she was responsible for one of the receipts Kandi used to validate her claim.      She was annoyed but put that away.   Fast forward to the lunch and Kandi is trying to phrase Kenya's shady ass question in a more palatable tone for Porsha.    Kandi says:   I think what she's (Kenya) trying to ask is whether you're aware of your triggers.    Once Porsha got all the way up to 10 she called everybody piggybacking on Kenya's original shade and wore out whatever slim margin of patience Kandi had left for her simple ass.

Porsha was just awesome throughout the episode. She is a beautiful woman, that skin is to die for...Damn! Not everybody is intellectually curious, so, I give her a pass on that. Plus, she seems to care deeply about people.  I love her friendship with Phaedra.  I concur with you guys that Kandi is a bitter, jealous bitch. She was too much like her mother, for my liking.  She did not have this much aggression for Kim who stole from her. Yet, she is ready to pounce on Porsha, on this episode and Phaedra, a few episodes ago. Go away, Kandi!

That is the most beautifully diplomatic thing I've ever seen.  BWHAAAAAAAAA!!

I do. I sweat like Bob. Maybe Bob is on female hormones and is getting the menopause real bad.

That scene had my fingers over my eyes. Did he..? Did HE just grab his crotch?! He did it again!! And now he's sweating all over the pommes frites. They're both seeing other people, so these scenes are just filler. Bob used to be a baller, so maybe it's down to Andy being a jocksniffer that Bob gets paid. He adores Jim Edmonds too, so we got to see a lot of Jim fondling candles and looking bored with Meghan's pregnancy in the OC.

In all seriousness this would explain a lot.   Moobs.

So much in this episode

1. I think Todd was straight up fired/laid off, whatever.  As stupid as Porsha is, she should know better than to fall for that line of BS.  He just randomly quit his job because it was "her or me?"

2. I'd also like to see the receipts for Todd's "lobbyist job," I've always found it suspicious.  You're a high powered DC lobbyist, working behind the scenes, and you thought it would be a good idea to be on a trashy reality show? You are raking in all this dough as a DC lobbyist, but you don't have your own apartment in the city?  You can't even rent an airbnb?  You are working for a Trump supporter, and you didn't realize he might have a problem with you being on a reality TV show?

3. I like Phaedra when she is being real.  And, even if she is somehow scamming money from her foundation, I'm still happy that she is bringing recognition to the continued plight of those involved in the Flint water crisis.  Its easy to forget about the victims.

4. The irony of Porsha having a physical problem because there isn't enough blood going to her brain.  Its just too rich.  even though, I have my questions about how burned out she really was with a face full of makeup on.  At least do a natural makeup job and not 4 pounds of eyeshadow if you want me to buy it.

5. I'm not sure if Kenya is scared or not, but she got one thing right -- Porsha still has a problem if she thinks that her responding with physical violence at the reunion was okay.  And she clearly does.  So I guess that "anger management coach" was all for show.  She has the exact same problems she ever had, and she will continue to have them, because she is violent.

5b.  The problem with Porsha's position is that anything, any argument, any disagreement can be construed as "provocation" for a violent person.  This is why there needs to be a line in the sand that you don't respond to words with violence, not even being pointed at.  No one should have to walk around eggshells with low IQ Porsha because she doesn't understand how to use her words.

6. I think Sheree was the first person to say that Kenya "provoked" Matt into kicking in her garage, and Kenya came back with "well we all provoke people and you do too Sheree" and pointed out the abusive relationship.  Which Sheree didn't deny.

7. As much as I'm a fan of Kenya, she lost me with "at least he doesn't hit me!"  Girl, he hasn't hit you....yet....maybe....but he'll get there, and you're not a hero just because a violent man hasn't put his hands on your yet.

8. I also wasn't down with Kenya running after Porsha, I have no idea why she did it...likely to be part of the storyline, or maybe to see if Porsha had changed.  Newsflash, Porsha has not changed.

9. I noticed that Porsha wasn't about to play those games with Kandi, she just got right up and left.  And honestly, maybe its in Porsha's best interest to just do Dish Nation, and pursue other career paths and leave RHOA.  If she gets involved in another violent incident, it could end up affecting other career opportunities she may have.

When she was in bed you mean?  I gotta catch it on rewatch but down to bald eyelashes I was pretty sure she had zero makeup on.   She's a naturally pretty girl.*   Hell if a new tease and pop on your head and some concealer as lip balm counts, I have some confessions to make lol.

*as much as she might hate the comparison she might be going down a Kenya-esque path with all these fake relationships and phantom Princes.  It's cool to have a social life I just don't want to see her publicly entertaining a new dude every month.

I didn't wanna lose my place trying to get fancy with the quote button, but that? #5?  and this here, what swankie said below:

8 hours ago, swankie said:

See, this is why I have such a problem with Kenya because she is "that girl" who will push you to your limit just to see how far you will go.  Whether the person you provoke is in anger management or not, you don't do that.  Does she also offer alcohol to the person who is in AA to see if they have changed?  Would she take the friend in gamblers anonymous to the casino to see if they have changed?  And for her to throw out there that Sheree has been in an abusive relationship as a way of throwing shade at Sheree was despicable in my opinion.  Kenya will never have any solidarity with or feel compassion for any women who are in domestic violent relationships because she is in such denial about Matt.  It's like she is saying, "My man is better than yours because he hasn't hit me, only destroyed my property but your man hit you, nya nya nya nya nya nya!"  She doesn't see the severity of the situation she's in, only that her man must love her more because he's only destroyed her property.  She's so damned childish I can't stand it.

are the reasons I am constantly conflicted (generally) about this issue but specifically with this woman.    She is a provocateur.  That's indisputable.   I have been admonishy, but somewhat understanding, of Porsha's and other peoples' response to the provocation.   The thing that's hard to understand is that by now, her castmates know who Kenya is, so much so that they can mirror her shit back to her.  Knowing it's what she does and it's what she comes for, my question is why feed?   She IS going to try and slick mouth and beguile a bitch into balling up her fists so why participate???   Kenya's quick witted but not particularly difficult to figure out.   But she only represents 1/2 the problem.

Kenya asked are you on medication?   Porsha said no I'm not on meditation.   {{stagesigh}} now this muffucah is winning because you can't get your words together when the whole damn thing is none of her business.    I know she was surprised because she used the word ambushed.  So how about "despite what Phaedra may have told you I'm not prepared to address it here."  Really what I think Porsha stays mad at is her inability to remain unflustered and shut a bitch down on her own level.....without laying hands.   I mean just in case we care, it's a also a complete bunch of bullshit to assume she's taking anger management classes, when the whole point of them is about finding a conflict coping mechanism.    Avoidance is not coping.   Kenya's a whole bag of dicks.  But all Porsha helped her do was prove her shitty ass point.   People are definitely gonna try you, learn how to deal with that like a big girl.

Here's the view from my armchair psychoanalysis, judgment, wild assumption and snack center:

Porsha has led a pretty nice life -- comes from a very loving and supportive and well respected family. She has people in her corner, no matter what.

Kenya has not had any of those advantages -- she doesn't have the base, natural and deep self esteem and confidence that comes from unconditional love that Porsha was at least given (I don't know what she has or hasn't done with it, but it was there).

"From whom much is given, much will be required" and all.  Porsha seems like a nice person, but she also seems a little entitled and immature, and considering the base she started with, I expect more from her.

Kenya, while far from a model of perfect behavior, seems to have come a long way, and has done well for herself considering the psychological damage and general shittiness that was dumped on her as a kid. She's exceeded my expectations in many ways.

Overall winner: Kenya

None of those people should be concerned about Porsha, they should be concerned about themselves.

I take that back, the one person who should have been concerned about her, Phaedra, pretty much set her up by telling Kenya about her anger management without letting Porsha know it came up.  And then didn't say much of anything when the shit hit the fan.

Porsha got up when Kandi made her comment.  Maybe that coincided with her really getting angry, but she seemed perfectly fine getting into it with Kenya. And she didn't have any back up like she did at the reunion.

It seems like she is more humiliated by anger management than by her incidents of violence.

Yes, Phaedra should have kept her mouth shut to Kenya about Porsha. Porsha did have a valid point though, why didn't any of these "worried/scared" women call her on the phone to ask how she was doing if they were so concerned?

Yes and No, yes, the AMT was filmed for the show but No because the others were not present when it was filmed so it is still personal and none of their business. The only thing they need to know is that she is currently in AMT, not what the therapy sessions entails and they were asking for details well beyond the fact that she was in therapy.

Again, the 3 interrogators were shown first hand that it is working with Porsha, as she walked away (it's called removing yourself from a possible volatile situation/trigger) instead of getting into an argument with any of them but par for the course it wasn't enough for them and their ring leader had to try and provoke an outburst from Porsha by chasing after and yelling at her.

Oh, and why should Porsha, or any of them, allow 1 or 2 in the group to push her/them out of filming, why should Porsha be forced to lose a paycheck? Let Kenya stay home and give up a paycheck.

I think everyone should own their own behavior.  Kenya was wrong to follow her out of that restaurant and down the street.

If Kenyas behavior is provocative, I think she should be responsible for that, and if the question was "why doesn't Kenya have any friends?" than the answer would be that its her personality and she has to take ownership of that.  At the same time, if people are pushed the point of violence, they have to answer for why they don't disengage before the situation crosses the line into violence.

But for me, I can't equate words with violence.  To me, there is a clear, hard line.

If Kenya had carried on at the reunion, and Porsha had walked off stage, refused to come out of her dressing room until Kenya was cleared of all props/left the stage, borrowed a megaphone,  made up something out of the clear blue sky, called Kenya every name in the book and told her she was a terrible human being who deserved to be abandoned by her mother I wouldn't have had any issue.  If Kenya wants to go into a word war, than it is what it is, and its fine to pull the verbal gloves off.   None of these things would have crossed that hard line, and I would say that Kenya had no right to complain.  Both ladies would have had equal part, because its an equal battle field.  Words for words.  But violence for words is different.  For me at least.  So, I can't really assign Kenya part of the blame for a reaction that was over the line, to me.  Her verbal altercations with other cast mates, I could reasonably think "well Kenya said x, and Phaedra said y.  I may not agree with Phaedra, but its an even playing field."

I think Porsha could have said her peace, faked a phone call and gotten the hell out of there.  Porsha's history of violence in high stress situations is a real issue that could impact them on their trip.  Whether that was their intent or not, she should acknowledge that its reasonable to ask questions about whether she can handle a high stress situation, and if she is taking steps to address that.  And then just leave.

For me, and certainly mileage will vary....but for me, I don't think abuse counts any less because the woman is "difficult" or "provocative."  These relationships are often toxic and codependent, with difficult personalities on both sides.  Unlikable, provocative people can be abused too.  Or at least thats how I see it.

And in Porsha's defense, maybe it all came up so quick and she wasn't able to think on her feet.  Which may be a good reason for her to separate herself from the show.  I'm not a Porsha fan, but she has a good thing going right now.  She has Dish Network, she is on Celebrity Apprentice, she is young and glamorous.   She has the right look, and is in the right place at the right time.  I think she could EASILY get a network talk show, something like "The Real" or whatever else.  But one wrong move and those opportunities could disappear in a minute.  And she doesn't handle these stressful situations well, and Bravo AtlHW vacations are almost always a dramatic mess.

Either way -- this is all just food for thought.  These women are going to live their fabulous lives with their 20 inch Burmese virgin hair, designer hand bags and luxury cars no matter what I do or think :)

The Escape Room is where Phaedra told Kenya that Porsha was going to tell them all about her anger management experience.

Kenya expressed (I think in a talking head) that she wondered why Porsha never brought it up at the Escape Room activity since Phaedra said she would be talking about it there.  That's how Phaedra got Kenya to participate.

No, Phaedra extended the invitation to Kenya for the Escape Room by including that Porsha wanted to tell them all about her anger management experiences.

And none of this matters, because after  Kenya brought it up, and Porsha said, "I said that? I never said that." to Phaedra, that's Kenya's cue to shut the hell up and realize Phae Phae gave some alternate facts to the reality.

I've seen Kenya come at people in a far shadier and direct way.  Like the way she directly asked about kandi once dating that basketball player that another "friend of" was dating.  No subterfuge, just to the point.

This time she was pretty subdued.  She even said that they had resolved the issues.  At which time porsha launched into "you apolilogized to me!"  Because again, on porshas mind she didn't do anything wrong.  And when she is violent there is always someone else to blame.

The easiest thing porsha  could have..should have done was to be honest.  Yes, she is in anger management and is making progress.  She doesn't think it would be a problem on the trip, but if it's a concern she need not go.  It's as simple as that.  Situation diffused and she will leave it up to the girls.  Now I got a call and I gotta run, nice catching up, bye. Bada Bing, bada boom.

But steadily insisting she did nothing wrong shows me that she doesn't think she has an issue and she is going through the motions.

I don't know that kenya waited a long time.  This was the first time that they were altogether in a dinner style setting.  And the first time they would all be planning an overnight trip.

Kenya doesn't give a shit about porsha.  Nor should she.  Kenya cares about not getting in some physical altercation where she cant defend herself.  These trips are stressful, or they would be for me with all the in fighting.  If porshas response to stress is to be violent and claim she isn't at fault I might have a few questions before I agreed to go.

That's not even what happened. Kenya said, "We apologized to each other...well, I apologized to you" which is shade. And messy. And I caught it.

All of this, but especially the last part. Let us not forget the entire first season where Kenya repeatedly bragged about being from Detroit and beating people's asses, including threatening a pregnant woman. That was completely beyond the pale. She also ran up on a few people and had to be held back from fighting them, including Porsha. So yeah, if anybody met the right one it was Kenya.

I'll never forget and that's why Kenya can forever miss me with her pearl clutching.

So why not give Porsha the heads up that she told her business, or that Kenya may bring it up?  Or just something....anything, so that she wasn't completely caught off guard when she got there?  I don't know why Porsha isn't asking those questions.

I don't know, if Kenya is this shit stirrer and provocateur with a desperate need for camera time who doesn't like Porsha I think it would be natural to assume she would bring it up at some point.  Or at least to give your friend the heads up that she might bring it up so she isn't caught off guard.

Yes, Phaedra should have given Porsha a heads up but that would have also alerted Porsha that Phaedra talked to Kenya about her, in other words, Phaedra put herself between a rock and a hard place. Also, Porsha did ask Phaedra if she said that to Kenya and Phaedra denied it which prompted production to show the clip of her doing just that. LOL Then Porsha warns Phaedra (I think she knows the truth) in no uncertain terms to keep her, Porsha's, name out of her mouth when she, Phaedra, is talking to Kenya. Porsha was right though when she pointed out that none of these "worried/concerned" women bothered to call her and ask how she was doing, instead they decided to do it all at once in a group setting, which would make anyone feel ganged up on.

Kudoz to Phaedra! She organized a wonderful event.  It was so nice to see the direct recipients of her charity as opposed to the usual of other franchises where you just see fundraising, if any charity at all. This put a face on the travesty going on in Flint, and unfortunately it isn't just limited to clean water as those children stories involved violence, parental abandonment, etc.  It was great that Phaedra was able to give them a brief escape and respite from their woes. I fault Phae for a lot of things but she has always put her money where her mouth is when it comes to giving back to various communities.

Kenya at camp was aight! Her presentation to the kids came off slightly better and less cringy than it did in the previews. I did have to roll my eyes at her shading her amenities.

So hold up, let me get this straight. Todd gave up his lobbyist job because his possibly Trump supporting boss gave him guff about dating Porsha are her being all up on and his social media and so Todd, without consulting Porsha, quit his job to pursue a relationship in its infancy stage? I have doubts that Todd was a lobbyist. Those jobs are not easy to come by, lucrative and are held by ambitious, driven people with goals and plans. Don't make no damn sense why someone with kids to support would quit over such a reason and have nothing else lined up. Maybe what he means by lobbyist is different that what I mean. Maybe he worked in a lobby checking IDs? I am with Porsha. WTF son?!!? A man without a job just ain't cute.

tumblr_nlt9sbKXsU1t593roo1_500.gif

Plus, what an added stresser. Now Porsha likely feels like she owes it to be with him because he quit in favor of her. He at least owed her a conversation before taking an action.

I have to add to the chorus. Porsha's skin is stunning and damn near flawless. I want to skin her and wear it like this season's Chanel. She looked gorgeous sitting across from Todd at dinner.

Seriously, I appreciate her honesty but Porsha should have just been really obscure about her ailment or lied about her condition. No need to give folks ammunition about you have a medical condition of not enough blood getting to your brain. That was a present gift wrapped to all her haters.

When Cynthia walked into Kandi's kitchen and said 'hey fat legs' I wasn't paying attention and didn't see the baby and thought Cynthia was referring to Kandi. LOL!

I actually don't begrudge the asking of the anger management question to Porsha. Kenya has the right to ask it being that she was on the business end of being dragged by Porsha - literally, but she isn't owed an answer or copies of a certificate of completion (LOL) from Porsha. Porsha also has the right to tell her to go shit in the ocean. Not for nothing but I can't take Kenya too seriously about being afraid for her safety around Porsha when her garage and car windows look like:

broken_window-1.png

Let us also not forget that Matt kicked in a door and broke her glasses (what does he have against glass?) while on holiday and she still took him back which allowed him to go on break her garage windows more than once (allegedly).

Kenya completely lost me when she went running after Porsha, when Phaedra told her ass twice it wasn't a good idea. Kenya might be manipulative and be playing chess in the beginning but towards the middle and at the end it goes from playing chess to some old chutes and ladders shit. Not even checkers.

I believe this msy be the only session she agreed to have publicized.  Any others would possibly delve into more personal issues that she may not want to have out there.

I assumed as much because what they did show was pretty surface level in terms of content discussed. I hope it wasn't Bravo's idea to have it publicized (even if it wasn't a real intense session). The more I watch these franchises, the more I realize that the show and many of its cast will stop at nothing for some ratings and there are little boundaries left to cross in these shows.

Now here is my thing.  Phaedra tells Kenya this.  Now lets just assume, for the sake of argument, that Kenya isn't really interested in Porsha's anger management.  Phaedra would still know full well that Kenya is going to bring it up at some point, because, for her that information is just too good to NOT file away and save for a slow news day.

So why not give Porsha the heads up that she told her business, or that Kenya may bring it up?  Or just something....anything, so that she wasn't completely caught off guard when she got there?  I don't know why Porsha isn't asking those questions.

I don't think the issue is so much that she told Porsha's business. I'm pretty the anger management sessions was public knowledge before this season even began filming (or maybe Porsha even mentioned attending classes at the last reunion). The issue seems more like Phaedra communicated information in a way that suggests that Porsha was owing an explanation or an update on how her anger management sessions were going. Kenya should have outed Phaedra like she did and then cut the conversation down after Porsha pushed back with no intent to answer the question. I think Porsha did raise the question to Phaedra but Phaedra denied saying that and Porsha believed her. Phaedra bold faced denied what she said. Maybe she poorly used her words and didn't mean to suggest to Kenya what she did, but I suspect that she said what she needed to to get Kenya to go to the Escape Games activity and get off Porsha's back and now it's come back to bite her in the butt.

When Phaedra came over to Kandi's car and was like, "You're leaving?!" and Kandi said, "Ahhh, I think we all have other things to go do now", just totally over it and not willing to pretend, it reminded me of several seasons ago, towards the end of Kim Z's run, when Kim and Cynthia were supposed to have a sit-down to squash some beef and both of them were just like, "We aren't really friends, and never will be, so who cares?"

I don't think Kandi is one to walk away from a paycheck, but I think she's about maximum drama and confrontation in the minimal time and she's not going for the long drawn out scenes!

If nothing else, the THs by Kandi and Sheree were hilarious.  Worth the watch by themselves.

Note to Sheree:  Please don't say that you've never been in an abusive relationship when earlier in the episode, you said that you and Bob were ejected from the country of Spain for fighting.

I absolutely agree that a lousy childhood doesn't give a pass on bad behavior. I did not mean to imply it does. Sorry for not being more clear on that. But I do think that while it doesn't excuse bad behavior, it does explain it to a degree, if that makes sense.

I think of it like a kid A with wealthy math professor parents who can not only tutor their kid but also hire tutors and send the kid to math camp, etc. vs. a kid B with poor, math-challenged parents, who can't tutor, and can't pay for any tutors.  Come exam time, I'm just going to expect that kid A is going to do better on the test. If they both get about the same mediocre to lousy grade,  I'm going to be more surprised and disappointed by kid A.

Behavior-wise, I just expect more from Porsha and less from Kenya, given their backgrounds.

I think we have to agree to disagree.  You can tutor someone until you're blue in the face, but that doesn't mean they'll ace their test.

The thing is, Kenya was Miss USA, not some teen mom living in the projects/trailer park.  Why shouldn't people expect more from her too?  I mean Kenya's a lot older than Porsha, she's had a lot of time to learn how to act.

Kenya is mean spirited and a bully.  She pushes and pushes until she gets that negative reaction so she can get attention and play victim.  And I love to say.... this twirl business is never going to take off with sane people.  She looks and acts the fool trying to make this a thing.   I wouldn't cross the street to say hello to her.  She is desperate for any kind of attention.  She hasn't yet figured out the world does not revolve around her.    If she is "afraid" to go on a vacation with Porsha, why is she doing anything with her?  Stop poking the bear and it won't bite you.

Porsha has more problems than her anger.  I hope she addresses them.  I do feel sorry for everything she has been through and to have a medical problem on top of all this is sad.  I wish the best for her but she needs to get a clue.  These women are not her friends.

While I get a kick out of Phaedra, I'm glad she's getting called on her lies.  I guess this is her "role" in the Atlanta franchise.

Khandi acts like she's mad at the world.  Maybe she has too much on her plate and needs some stress relief.

Sheree is really stirring the pot this season.  Glad to have her back.

Because she is not really serious about wanting a child, it's so she has something to talk about.  BTW, she mentioned that her boyfriend lost his job but then I have read on this board he gave up his job to relocate to be closer to her...which is it?  If he flat out quit his job and didn't have another lined up and has children that is irresponsible, that should show Porsha that he may not be the guy she should be with...could be another Peter in the works.

Sheree really needs to find and make up with Miss Lawrence. Her hair and makeup game used to be unparalleled. Hair always laid to the gawds. Skin looking as flawless as Porsha's. This season she seems to be buying cheap wigs/weaves off aliexpress. One of which is drawing comparisons to Kandi's mom tired mushroom wig - no bueno!

Phaedra looks so much better when she uses darker lipstick colors. Those frosty pale glossy colors are not her friend.

Todd said on the show that he "quit" his job and Porsha read him the riot act for doing it. I do think she is serious about wanting a child though, she had a miscarriage when she was married and I don't think she got past it.

Now that I no longer like Todd2 I have a theory about his job loss.  Before I retired from the federal government, I was told to stay off of social media.  A lot of us were told that.  My Facebook page had my late golden retriever's name on it, not mine.  And, of course, being on reality tv wasn't an issue.  Anyway, my theory is that Todd2 was told if he stayed off of social media and did not appear on RHOA,  he could keep the job. Todd2 saw Porscha's lifestyle and liked being on camera.  He may have envisioned himself being "discovered" by appearing on the show, so, when given the ultimatum of giving up his job or staying off camera, he chose not necessarily Porsche, but, his newfound "celebrity".  My point being that he didn't want to stop being on tv, but, he spun it to make sound like he sacrificed his job for Porsche. Guilt is a powerful thing.  JMHO

Like Porscha, I would be horrified to find out I was suddenly responsible for someone else's financial security.

Cynthia is starting to look just like her sister Mal.

IMO Kenya is by far the prettiest of the lot and would not be jealous of Porsha or anyone else based on looks or age.

Kenya has a knack for spotting a c**** in a person's armor and exploiting. e.g., clowning on Porsha bc she's dumb. Flirting w/ Apollo bc he wasn't "that into" Phaedra. Diminishing Kim Field bc she's frumpy and out of the limelight. All the talking head jokes about Nene's ramen noodle hair. She's not across-the-board mean; she knows where to strike. If your game is strong, she'll leave you alone.

Todd2 came off as too wooden and/or nervous the first few episodes so now he's trying to seem more confident and sexy.

Anyone notice how next week Kandi will be wearing the same braids Sheree had on yesterday? LOL

I can't believe Kandi acted so put out that Cynthia was staying with her. Might be defensiveness bc things are bad at home.

She seems to be jealous of something...

The problem is she feels she's much more accomplished than Porsha but she's on the same show scratching for a check just like Porsha and it bothers her. It's the same reason she could barely tolerate Kim Fields because Kim is more accomplished and has receipts to prove it.

Porsha appearing without makeup should put the who is/isn't pretty question to rest forever.

Forgot about this. Tamara Tattles on Todd (Porsha's Todd). Rereading this just now makes me feel that Porsha is no longer 'unaware' of Todd's 2 children that he is not supporting, and who are suing for emancipation from their father.

https://tamaratattles.com/2016/09/05/exclusive-porsha-williams-is-up-to-her-old-tricks-violent-outbursts-fake-broke-boyfriends/#

Maybe this is the reason Porsha has done this abrupt about turn on her 'bae' since the beginning of the season. He is obviously not new Daddy material after all, especially without a job and with a history of not supporting the children that he does have. TT tends to be very anti Porsha because she is weirdly pro Kenya, so reading her stuff on the Atlanta hos requires some critical literacy, but she gives good tea and this is relevant to this episode.

Well this clears up a bunch of questions.  Thanks for posting the link.

No, she fainted before she found out that he quit his job. He didn't tell her about that until she was home in bed, we saw him make that announcement last night. Porsha suffers from Vasovagal syncope, I posted a link to it in a post above, and she says that others in her family have it as well.

Well I'll be damned. I think I have this. My trigger is big box stores. I get lightheaded, sweaty, nauseous, jittery, dry mouth, and I actually did faint once. Now when I feel it coming on I leave my stuff and go to the car.

I thought it was anxiety/panic attacks because I've had those but the fainting part makes me think it's actually VS.

Thanks for posting this! I'm going to ask my doctor about it next time but it seems manageable.

Poor Porsha. It's no fun at all. I wonder what her trigger is. Probably stress.

Who you date is not protected. Some states have marital protections. Additionally, most states are at will employment. They could fire him for wearing a blue shirt or for dating Porsha.

I suspect that the boss told him to chill out on social media. Todd worked for some type of legislator? Their issue probably was that his relationship with Porsha was making constituents feel some kind of way, which resulted in an increase in constituent calls, emails, letters, and social media posts. It's just more work for the office over nonsense, but failing to respond is the thing that fucks you in future elections.

I agree. I think the employer was concerned over the tone of the tweets, and since Porsha has previously put herself out there as queen THOT, they are legitimately concerned about public perception. People need to stop shooting themselves in the foot on social media.

Porsha wasn't having anything tonight. She was strung up. I was surprised at how she went after Matt for quitting, because in  the past she's been such a flibbertygibbet and so desperate.

Meanya came out of nowhere with her nonsense and deserved the response, but I felt Porsha was too paranoid in her response in thinking everyone was coming for her. She's obviously very troubled over something, and that's probably her health.

Kenya was again so full of herself at the camp. Those kids saw right through her.

Yup.  I think you just summed up Kenya perfectly.  She keeps reminding everyone of her vintage Miss USA title and no one cares.  She's tried to have something current that will make her relevant and, besides this show, she's got nothing. So she stays doing the most out of desperation to keep her peach.  So imagine how it sticks in her craw to have young, pretty Porsha added to the show married to the prototypical baller Kenya wished she had.  (And dragging Jamal "How you doing?!" Anderson to a fundraiser doesn't count.)  She hated Porsha from Day 1, not for anything that Porsha did, just for her being Mrs. Kordell Stewart.  I'm sure she thought Porsha's divorce would leave her hurting for money and Porsha not only kept her peach post-Kordell AND after kicking Kenya's ass but she's killing it on Dish Nation.  Even got her girl Claudia hired and they tried to double-team Porsha.  Another fail!  Kenya's jealous all right. She's so jealous she can hardly breathe. © Cici Bloom

Like Porscha, I would be horrified to find out I was suddenly responsible for someone else's financial security.

Todd 2 has a father who is a big name in Washington and a reputation for hanging around ballers and living a 'playboy' lifestyle. Allegedly. As well as claiming welfare despite having 2 sons who are trying to be emancipated from him. It would seem likely that he is employed by his father, or for someone his father went guarantor for him with. I think you're absolutely correct, if this is all true. Allegedly his parents got sick of upkeeping Todd's boys. One of whom has a promising football career. It's the kind of thing a father would do: if you are ready to settle down and step up, I'll find you a position. But there'll be expectations.

Then Porsha pops back in and he sees the glow of the limelight and moves to Atlanta? Earlier in the season, when the scrub first popped up, he seemed to be visiting from somewhere. And it was TODD who was less enthused about Porsha's plans for impregnation. He got moved by the family spirit at dinner and declared his love for her last episode, and now he's chucked in his job to eat bon bons on her couch for life, who wouldn't be thrilled!!!?

In the past, Porsha has been accused of acquiring shoes and handbags from her various suitors. At one stage, she had a Rolls (or was it a Bentley?) that was a gift from one of these men, tho it may have been leased. Todd 2.0 (beta version) is a whole different ballgame. I think Porsha has just discovered some of his history and has realised that it will be her forking out for game tickets and swag. For life. I'm relieved to see that somewhere in her oxygen deprived brain, something is screaming 'abort! abort!'. Maybe this is what's put her in bed and brought on the vapours. She should be relieved to have averted this.

If your game is strong a la Kim Fields, Kenya will try to yank the chair you are sitting on out from under you. And if this had been anyone other than Kim that Kenya had attempted to assault, we would be hearing about it as often as Kenya references Porsha's propensity for violence. Actually Porsha was and still is very serious about having a child.  She was absolutely devastated when she miscarried while married to Kordell and actually tried to have another baby.  She even bonded with Kenya at one point regarding having a baby.  All she talked about throughout the seasons she has been on RHOA was her desire to have a child.
