Just because the Nazis said they wanted to illuminate the Jewish race doesn’t mean that they were correct

Nazis didn't merely "say" it.  They declared Jews an inferior RACE and proceeded to eliminate six million humans.  The Jews+race issue was the main cause of the Holocaust--which Whoopi not only refused to acknowledge--but confronted/argued with panelists who tried to provide correct information.

I see Whoopi is back to pontificating, even refusing to go to break until she's done with her all-important point. Sheesh. Just shut up and moderate already.

Hmmm....perhaps those two weeks weren't spent on self-reflection.  Ah'm shocked ... (and I know this gets old):  FoghornLeghorn.jpg.07042f7373f60641af8678f23df490ad.jpg

Whoopi's granddaughter Amarah is on Claim to Fame, where the contestants have to guess which famous person each contestant is related to.  On the first episode, the contestants had to give three clues about their relative--2 true clues and 1 false clue.  Amarah's false clue was that her grandmother had won an award for doing adult movies.

On this week's episode, this is what Amarah said to someone about Whoopi:

"My grandma, she likes to play Diablo the video game.......she had a boyfriend that was like 90 years old that she used to hang out with, some old white man named John.  He was a billionaire...she liked to sneak off.  I didn't know she was still having sex."

Later, to the camera, Amarah said, "My strategy is to be honest but I want to hype up the award and the sexuality."

So, not sure how much of the above was true or just hype.

I have no idea if this is true but if it is, I would not be surprise at all.

I saw the episode where she left the house, and on the way out, she cursed everyone out and went on and on in a fury.  Totally classless.  She was pissed because she felt she was double-crossed by some of the others.  Uh, Amara, this is a game where someone leaves each week.  This week it happened to be you.  Whoopi is either embarrassed by how she acted or, more likely, proud of how she acted.

Is this the granddaughter that made Whoopi a great grandmother?

One of the clues on the show was a goat, i.e. G.O.A.T, Greatest Of All Time.  The clue obviously referred to

Spoiler

Simone Biles,

a sister of one of the contestants.  But, Amara proclaimed in her talk to the camera that the goat was a clue for Whoopi.  Really?  So Whoopi is the greatest of all time?

Apparently Amara got her acronyms confused (GOAT vs EGOT).

Yep!

"

Goldberg, 66, is more than a co-host on the hit talk show The View.

She has a legacy of her own outside of her acting career that consists of her grandchildren.

The TV star has a total of three grandchildren in her life.

Amarah Skye Dean is Whoopi's oldest grandchild as Amarah was born in 1989, Shadow and Act reports.

Whoopi Goldberg’s granddaughter Amara jokes the View host, 66, is a PORN star

Most recently Amarah appeared on the new Hulu show Claim To Fame alongside The Jonas Brothers.

She joked on the show that her grandmother was known for receiving an AVN award as part of her one lie during the game "two truths and a lie."

An AVN award stands for Adult Video News award.

Amarah is the mother of Whoopi's great-grandchild Charli Rose who Whoopi introduced in a 2014 Instagram video."

It's a pretty cushy gig that allows her plenty of time to do all the things that she actually enjoys and cares about.

And it's not like she spends ages in hair and make-up.

Her granddaughter was screaming profanities on the Jonas show recently. She showed herself to be a rude, trashy, classless brat and what is with that family and contraception?!!! None of them believe in it?!!!

An interesting story in today's NYTimes about Whoopi.  Her house in NJ sounds beautiful & then the author went to Sardinia to Whoopi's home on the island...sounds fabulous.  She is living a good life and she is very much her own person.

I loved the story and Whoopie has beautiful skin..

Am I the only one who is tired of seeing Whoopi look like a sack of potatoes which just fell off the back of the farmer's wagon ?  There's a fine line between 'dressing business casual / comfortable ' and 'dressing sloppily'. She has definitely crossed that line.

She used to be worst back in the day. Her attire has improved because I remember how Whoopie used to look like she had rolled out of bed 10 minutes before going live on the view.   Whoopie will never be fashionista and that is okay..

Except most TV show hosts put forth an effort to look good for the camera/audience.  Not doing so shows a lack of caring and a lack of professionalism.  I'm sure she's been told through the years by tptb to spruce herself up a bit and she probably told them to go pound sand...after all, she's Whoopi Goldberg!

I remember for one week when Bill Geddie was there and they had Whoopie dressing more feminine and she looked so awkward af..  Whoopie walking in heels was scary.  She looked very nice but weird at the same time. I was not used to seeing her so glammed up and she even wore a bra..lol

At the time I remember being surprised that Whoopie has a nice body that she hides under her ill fitting clothes that make her look bigger than she is..

I read that Whoopi is sticking with her "Jews are not a race" opinion in an interview with the London Times.  I wonder if the show will give her another suspension.

The article is heavily paywalled on their site. The Daily Fail has picked up on what she said already though. Not the best source at least it's easily accessible....

I wonder if Whoopi is trying to get fired.

I'm wondering that too. I didn't see it happen but read online how she was having trouble reading from one of the cards for Hot Topics and Sara had to take over. Maybe having COVID more than once has done stuff to her brain or she's had something going on for awhile. After she got in so much trouble when she originally shared that awful opinion it would be pretty dumb of her to bring it up again in an interview. This isn't the first time with her repeating these awful takes though.

Whoopi's got a long history of making problematic remarks.

I completely agree with you there. I'm not trying to excuse her from bringing up these offensive remarks again. I've just thought she's seemed even more off since coming back after having COVID again. Maybe it's just me thinking this.

She shouldn't be revisiting this topic, since she obviously didn't really learn anything back in January. For whatever reason, she seems to want to justify her original opinion, and is convinced that her narrow definition of racism (skin color only oriented) somehow supersedes how the Nazis identified racial groups. Just because black people are more easily identified on the street than Jewish people doesn't mean that the Nazis didn't target Jewish people as a race to be exterminated.

Only Whoopi could find a way to step in it when the show's not even on air.

I wonder if she thought that since this interview was during the show vacation and not part of the show, whatever she said wouldn't result in any censure by the producers. I wonder if she also thought that she'd be able to articulate her points better since it would be in print. I don't think that she succeeded with that part, at the very least.

I don't think Whoopi thinks.  Period.

The podcast mentioned above talked about a Christmas video compilation of all the cohosts talking about Christmas and everyone but Whoopi enjoyed it. She stopped caring about the show a long time ago (if ever). If this is what finally gets her off the View I will be happy.

Whoopi is coming across as a not particularly bright person who has a point to make and by god she's going to keep making that point no matter how ignorant she sounds.  I do think her heart is in the right place, she's not pulling a Kanye West (at least I don' think she is) but she's got herself so tied up in knots with her One Thing I Think Is True that she won't be educated by those who know more about this than she does.

Whoopi is too entranced with her views on the show like this, Mel Gibson and rape-rape.

I hope she does not return.

Me too. I've been really surprised and saddened that she's been able to share so many abhorrent views for so long while still being allowed to keep her job. Especially since The View is on network TV and has been under ABC's news division for quite a few years at this point.

No she's not. She was talking about what she did back then, but she wasn't saying she still believes what she said. Below is an updated Deadline article.

I'm not willing to give Whoopi the benefit of the doubt. Maybe the article was poorly written but that article wasn't just a rehash of what she said earlier this year.

This is just one of many "problematic" things she has said over the years.  As far as I'm concerned there should have been no coming back from the "rape" rape remark.

At the very least, Whoopi needs to stop talking extemporaneously. She talks to the media as if she is talking to her friends, without understanding that when her remarks are printed none of her expressions or tones of voice will be heard. Also, it really wasn't necessary to give the blow-by-blow details of what she said back then and so on, because doing that entails repeating the objectionable statements, which she shouldn't do.

Most of us do this kind of thing when we talk with our friends and family, but we won't be going "on the record". Even so, we (in my experience) sometimes get into misunderstandings although we didn't intend to.

Whoopi always thinks she is right...about the guy with the underage girl in the pool, or Gibson, or Cosby, or the guy with the dogs. Or this.

I am tired of her thinking she is the queen and acting so humble yet spouting off such awful opinions.

I've never trusted her - especially when she seriously says she supports her family that are now 3 generations and evidently don't have jobs other than her granddaughter on a crappy show and showed how mixed up she was.

I seriously hope  they fire her and even wrote to ABC to do so.

This is true.  Whoopi has been in the business a very long time.  She must be her publicist's worst nightmare.

Goldberg's apathy killed the show for me long before McCain or anyone who came before her ever did.  She basically does one of two things:  either lectures us plebs in some sort of ignorant, uneducated rant about a topic she deems as being important enough for her to discuss or just sits there practically dripping with disdain while just barely tolerating having to listen to her co-hosts discuss something which she has deemed as being beneath her to discuss.

While getting praised and paid handsomely for it.  What she lacks in self awareness she most certainly makes up for with her sense of self.  My second hand embarrassment for her is off the charts.

“Whoopi has been out of control. Her health has been suffering, and she always seems to be ready for a brawl,” said a source. “It’s at the point where the constant fighting is literally killing her.”

Though Whoopi, 67, has lorded over The View’s table since 2007, insiders said producers, co-workers, and even close friends want her to pack it in.

Meanwhile, sources spill the comedian’s rival panelists are eager to show her the door!

“Whoopi seems to be picking fights all the time. She makes things very toxic. It’s clear she’s very unhappy,” added the insider.

Sources said backstabbing Joy has been actively campaigning for Whoopi to get the boot. A source claimed producers have “grown tired of Whoopi’s constant on-air episodes and believe they are driving viewers away.”

After a second bout with COVID in November, exhausted Whoopi struggled to read cue cards upon her return, said an insider, who spilled, “Everyone’s begging her to step aside for her sake and the sake of the show.”
