I think Michelle and Jim Bob were STUNNED at how strongly people reacted to the molestation of the five girls.

They were very insulated at that time and followed whatever the cult said...which was to pray and do physical labor (???).

Although, they didn't do much better this time either. Josh got dumped into some Pray It Away Pretend Rehab.

And I'm a teeny tiny surprised that Josh didn't seek out better help for himself. He worked in DC and was exposed to a few more modern ideas (i.e. therapy). He clearly was on the internet. It always puzzled me that Josh didn't get some real therapy and rehab for himself. I think that says a lot right there about himself, his parents, Anna and how he thinks.

I guess the Duggar crew really thinks that Josh is having a spiritual issue while the rest of us realizes that he has a lot of emotional and psychiatric issues. Too bad Josh doesn't know that. I know he isn't a genius but I did think he was a bit smarter than this. However, Jim Bob is footing the bill for this mess so it probably doesn't matter what Josh thinks anyway.

Yep - your last sentence says it all. Josh won't really get to rule her his own life until Boob is gone.

With a father like Josh, Anna isn't going to dress her daughters in something like board shorts anymore. There will be layers. Many many layers. Buttons and zippers too. She will be very hypervigilant over her daughters for a long time.

I just was watching something where the guy had plenty of hair, but was taking medicine to prevent himself from going bald. The only side effect was the medication lowered his sex drive considerably. Unfortunately they didn't say what medication it was, but it would perfect for Josh and maybe some of the other Duggar boys. JB should look into it.

In Josh 's world there are two types of women. Women you have fun with and women you marry. Women you marry are holy receptacles of God's greatest gift-children. They are not to be used to let your freak flag show. So even if Anna liked anything other than straightforward procreation sex she would never let her husband know for fear of being seen as slutty.

I've always wondered about Josh's few comments about having a smaller family. He never said how he would manage to do this, being Quiverfull and all. I've already commented that I could never picture Jill in a slinky Victoria Secrets type of nightie. She's more of the long sleeved white cotton granny gown type of gal. Maybe even wearing the Little House cap. I definitely can picture Jessa in a slinky nightie with makeup & hair in place. I can see Anna wearing the slinky nightie but maybe feeling a little guilty because in her mind, this isn't what a Mom should wear. Just my opinion & something to laugh at -- I really could care less about their bedtime attire. They probably wear T Shirts & shorts/pants like the rest of us.

I can see a couple of other things going on here. Josh could have gotten snipped. He may not like pain but the alternative is worse. Then I keep remembering the stunning comment Michelle made to Jessa that she should be readily available all the time and after all, it doesn't take long. In Josh's world, if the hooker allegations are true, it takes a long time. If Anna is tired from the housework, childcare, schooling of the chldren, and trying to make a DC kind of life for Josh, I doubt she really has the energy for the long sex sessions and sex play, possibly including her being roughed up to some degree. I can't picture me being delighted with that. Which brings up the question of why, nevertheless, she is baby happy and wants about 8 of them. There is a sickness here.
