I ain't too familiar with these kinds of magazines but is that RoHo article *supposed* to sound like a trashy romance novel or something?

"He broached the subject gently..."

"... his desperation got the best of him and he pleaded with her sharply 'help me find some peace'..."

"'That's pretty cute,' he replied, but his tone was melancholy..."

???????????

I saw the other day that Meghan Markle had a very brief role on GH in 2002, probably an under five part or something like that. Even so, it's still cool to think that someone who appeared on this show is going to be marrying a Prince!

I tried to post this yesterday but for some reason, couldn’t get on this site. I like Tamara Braun as Carly back in the day but watching her uncomfortable acting at Carly and Sonny’s house on Thanksgiving, I didn’t like her at all. Her hair is awful, she’s way skinny and she’s just acting weird. Of course, that could be because Oscar is actually Jason’s son (how many people on all of these soaps can have children just show up after so many years?!). I’ve recently gotten back into watching this soap since so many of my favorites have died but I must have missed too much on this show. However. I did see the former Phyllis (from Y&R) as Nina. She’s just as bad an actress as she was on Y&R. And that’s saying something for sure.

She looks so pretty. I need her back on GH to be paired with SBu to make people crazy. I'm so bad.

Funny.  I will say that of Patrick's many faults, the one thing I really thought was great about him was that unlike her first and second loves, he was not a Sonny worshiper. I firmly believe adult Stone and SBJason couldn't handle being in a relationship with  adult Dr. Robin.

Ignoring the fact that Patrick ended his run as a Sonny worshiper like everyone else, yeah, Scrubs are my loves.

JZ talks about having scenes with LW, so I guess they’re springing Bobbie from the Senoirs’ Closet for the holidays.

I thought it glaring that  Bobbie wasn't at Casa Corinthos for Thanksgiving since Carly's about her "Family and Friends" for a holiday, and esp. to say I told you so to Michael when he was explaining the Nelle situation to Jason. Also, because Carly would want Bobbie to grill Oscar and his mother.  There are times when Bobbie is slightly more subtle than Carly is about trying to obtain information/gossip she's not entitled to know (like Kim's background with Drew).

It's weirdly galling when they pretend to care about the history of the show when they have spent the last (at least 15) or so years completely shitting on the show's best characters of all time and rewriting history.

Y'know, I usually don't read about the real lives of movie or TV actors (I hope they have happy lives but consider it not my business and I mostly don't care) ... but I'm surprisingly glad KMc has a baby, and that picture is lovely.   Go Kim!

Yep. This drives me insane.

She gave birth earlier this year, although the fact that she named him Otis is still weird to me. It sounds like he should be stumbling down drunk to the Mayberry Courthouse, taking the jail cell key from Andy and Barney, lol.

Yeah, the magazines usually write in that weird hyperbolic way, especially SID.

Speaking of things @HeatLifer will find amusing:

“This feels like a blip in Elizabeth’s life that’s been forgotten,” says Herbst, with Jacob Young (Rick, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL) and Stephen Martines as Lucky and Nikolas, respectively. “Jacob was Lucky for such a short period of time, and to me, Nikolas is Tyler — and he will always be Tyler.” Having seen many of her leading men and besties recast, Herbst admits it can be awkward, but after all these years, she adds, “I can run with it.”

LOLOL. I make an effort to forget that time, but it's hard because that was the beginning of Lucky's and LL2's destruction for you know who and I will forever be bitter about it.

Seriously, what are they trying to accomplish?*

*That is a rhetorical question and I know the answer.

Whatever they're trying to accomplish, this is officially having the opposite effect on me

I think everyone knows I have no horse in this race, but the whole thing is off-putting. And I see this and see Sam like, twirling around with Drew when JASON JUST CAME BACK FROM THE DEAD and I'm like.... yeah. Something ain't right on-screen and off, lol.

What else can she do? She’s one who never seems to want to rock the boat.

To wit: "I don’t sing and dance on stage very well, so I never want to perform at the ball ever, ever again! I enjoy sitting at the table and watching everybody else dance... but that [Jailhouse Rock number with JJ, Vanita Harbour and Réal Andrews] was fun. Back then [late 1990s], we did all-day shoots for the Nurses Ball. We would rehearse for weeks before we taped it, and there’d be all these numbers. Now it’s so quick!”

I love that. Diplomacy, thy name is Becky. She manages to get across that what once was a meticulous and painstaking cheesefest is now an on-the-quick and dashed-off cheesefest. And she sounds so nice and even complimentary about it.

I think she gives herself too little credit, though. She rocked that "Footloose" number with her future husband and Amber Tamblyn (2000 NB, I think?), in which Juan was a short-order cook and Liz and Em were the nerdy-looking waitresses who threw off their glasses and restrictive uniforms, let their hair down, and became Juan's sexy back-up dancers.

You talking to me? Because there's nobody else here in the room... You talking to Me?

Mo must know that that line is from the movie in which DeNiro played a gun-wielding loner/psycho who takes a classy broad to a Times Square porn theater for their first date.  It wasn't one of the ones in which DeNiro played a cool-as-ice Mafia don. Just a strange match of picture and text.
