Maybe it's in that famous contract that he gets to marry all the younger ladies, not just the former DILs, to prove his virility.  That leaves Avery and Sage to be added to the list, too.  Just imagine the Viagra he's gonna need.

It's pretty much more than a rumor. The DC crew have spoken about this on more than one occasion, and I think Jeanne Cooper hinted around the edges of this as well. I can't recall who found the YouTube clips of LLB and MTS in a scene from the early '90s, but it was pretty clear that Victor was on the scent of a woman where Christine's character was concerned. I'm not sure whether Bill Bell was actually still scripting the show then (hadn't Alden and Smith assumed the heavy duty writing responsibilities by that time?), but I remember reading that this was a major stumbling block for both the Bells back then, and it was scuttled before it could launch IIR the rumors correctly.

Someone on the DC forums wondered if it couldn't be BM, but since I don't watch GH, I don't know who the character's love interest could be. I might have guessed JM as a possibility, but he's been going around on the interview circuit and talking about how a reunion with Sharon isn't in the cards, and the interview comments are certainly not critical of KS. I think JM is just trying to kiss as much ass as he needs to to keep his job. He's probably remembering how well it turned out for him when he insisted that he didn't want to be the bad guy in the 18-year old mystery of who Summer's real father was/is. Instead of being unhappy about his new "love interest" (and I frankly don't believe it's Morrow), he'd do better to keep his head down.

Or maybe JM isn't happy about KS.

I could buy this especially with Sharon and Dylan getting good buzz.  Phyllis is in Jack/Kelly plot and JM's stuck with Nick looking awful and hated after the custody suit and now with Sage looking like a chump while she knows Gab is Adam.

I doubt it's SBu, he'd jump at the opportunity to be off the Avery story and go to a bigger one with Sharon.

Casting blood bath? I'd say DAYS since they have lots of behind the scenes changes going on.

Network not liking webseries? ABC with the announcement Kirsten Storms on one? Not to mention all their Prospect Park issues.

Victagra. :-)

I thought of this scene in John Carpenter's Vampires--Jack Crow is James Woods:

Jack Crow: Let me ask you a question. When you were stabbing that vampire in there?

Father Adam Guiteau: Yeah?

Jack Crow: Did you get a little wood?

Father Adam Guiteau: Mahogany.

Jack Crow: Excuse me?

Father Adam Guiteau: Ebony.

Jack Crow: What?

Father Adam Guiteau: Teak.

Jack Crow: Are you possessed by demons?

Father Adam Guiteau: Major Chubby.

Jack Crow: Language, Padre, language!

I can't bring myself to relate this much-loved scene of mine to SB and his range of woody nicknames, though...

The thing is if AH and SC are truly knocking boots, this wouldn't be her first time busting up a marriage.  When she was on AMC she and John Callahan (Edmund Gray) had an affair.  It's the reason his wife Eva LaRue (Maria Santos) divorced him.   Funny thing is it came full circle, because Eva LaRue was married to John O'Hurley when she started on AMC, she then began an affair with John Callahan and it lead to her divorce from O'Hurley.

AH has a rep and I always suspected she and JM as having a little side thing too.

Oh how I wish Y&R were the show with the blood bath. Sigh. But I'll settle for Courtney getting killed. She's kind of perfect for being killed off. She doesn't matter at all. She's a terrible actress. She's in the middle of this "I know what you did last summer" storyline. Noah needs something better than Barbie cop.

Not defending anyone here, but if the BI is about AH and SC, they are both married - he could have been the one busting up her marriage.  And in the case regarding the AMC actors, there was a whole lotta cheating going on all around - sounds like a real life soap.

Any possibility that the "reel couple [who] started getting hot and heavy last year in real life, despite both soap thespians being married" are Heinle and Carrigan?

This is what I have seen speculated too.. AH did the same thing to her first hubby sooooo..

the only one I think that would serve the current storyline and is totally expendable is Courtney.

I hope so. I have never liked the character. She leaves me feeling blah.. she could have played Christines annoying kid very well.

Noah needs to be sent back to the boardroom and away from GCPD.

YUP.. they really do need to give him something to do.. he is too cute to waste like this.

I was just going to say the same thing. JM seems to be fine with KS and he sure has let it be known SHick is over for now. THANK THE SOAP GODS.

And lots of bad buzz..

I never saw that at all.. JM comes across as quite the family man.. Nick is a cheating prick but I just do not see JM in the same light.

Valley, I think you're probably right about it being Courtney. IMO any of the three 20-something blonde bimbos on Y&R could be jettisoned, but the only one I think that would serve the current storyline and is totally expendable is Courtney. Both Abby and Summer are legacy characters and the actors are JFP's personal hand-picked HH favorite ingénues.  I don't see either one being written off unless one or the other decide to pursue loftier ambitions, and then they'd just send the character(s) away for awhile. They need to break up Noah and Undercover Barbie. It was never believable and they never seemed to even try to do anything with Noah as a character except for the brief period he and Kyle were vying for Turd's approval at Newman Chancellor. Noah needs to be sent back to the boardroom and away from GCPD.

The BI about an actor not being happy with his new love interest has me intrigued.  Is it even remotely possible that it's either Sbu (because it looks like Sharon is definitely headed to Deadwood territory) or, more improbably, EB? I hope I'm wrong, but I'm getting the bad feeling that Turd's about to manipulate the situation with Phyllis such that he winds up married to her. And why not? It's not like he never married a former DIL before. Wonder if Chelsea will also wind up in his marriage bed before everything is said and done?

But wouldn't old Mumbles be happy about that? He is like MS and has made no bones about wanting to be paired with the younger women. Well in regards to Sharon Case he was really pushing for that relationship and did so for years. Maybe GT is not his type.

Or maybe JM isn't happy about KS.

I think this is a possibility as she doesn't have the fan following that I can see and she is new to the show and from what I am seeing she is not well liked because of manipulating  Gabeadam. I don't know but to me they are just bland and don't have any chemistry together. Jm is lazy and he is not going to be able to carry any type of pairing with a weak actress and in my opinion this one is weak.

That's my take on this too. If JFP has any say in anything she will not put her fair haired boy Steve Burton in a pairing that he does not want. I think he is happy to be out of the Davery shit fest and to be moved on with SC.  .She is wildly popular and has a huge fan following and most of the guys love working with her.

Ah, but caution ahead here. The soap forums represent only a fraction of the viewing audience, and it's pretty obvious to me that the majority opinions on the forums don't bear any similarity to the wider opinion of the viewers these showrunners care about. Why else would they do the opposite of what most people here think works?

I see a similar problem plaguing a Dylan and Sharon pairing as that of Davery. Dylan is always going to have limited appeal. Being the constant Mr. Good Guy is a snooze. Sharon has nothing to do with her life except pine for the attention of some guy. At least Avery has her comedy career as a lawyer, which periodically put her at odds with Duhlan. Sharon's got her wooden spoons pulled out of the drawer, and she's apparently decided to challenge Boobsie Crocker to a cookoff. I just don't see any upside for Sharon in this scenario. At the end of the day, Duhlan will wander back into the Crocker bakery for some mega sugar muffins, and Sharon will be left to sob in her cottage at the last of Nick's kin removed from her list of male conquests.

Well you could be right,TMS but I don't see it that way.To me there is always a lot of interest in Sharon on this show. I believe she is one of the most popular characters. I have always found her interesting because she is such an average woman with an everyday life style that most of us can relate to with the exception of being knock em dead gorgeous and rich in my case. lol  She has a child and a part time job and cooks and I assume cleans her house and just seems like a nice person.I don't think you have to have some sort of exclusive title or degree to be interesting or exciting or likable. Some of the most anal people I have ever known held a lot of them. lol

The business people on this show are hardly ever seen working anyway. Most of the so called elite such as doctors, lawyers,CEO's etc. are always at the GCAC restaurant/bar or Crimson Lights coffee shop conducting business and and there is hardly any scenes of them in their offices. Most of the little people are always sitting around yakking it up right beside the hoi polloi and movers and shakers of Genoa City so to speak.Their lives over lap quite a bit and in my case I don't ever look at a character and wonder what job title they hold nor do I care. If I like or dislike a character it has nothing to do with their occupation it is just them period.

As to the writers doing the opposite of what we don't want them to do I feel that has less to do with the viewers and a lot to do with the character. I figure they always have to have a couple of villains like Victurd,Adam and Phyllis, the average characters which is pretty much everyone else  and the picked on which is Sharon,Jack and used to be Lily. Sharon is always going to be picked on and that is just the way it will always be. So if she can find happiness with Dylan for even a short while I will take it and I know to never get my hopes up when it comes to her because she will never be allowed to have a happy life for very long.So whatever works to make her happy will be O.K in my book and that is why I think Shylan will be a big hit with most all the Sharon fans. We are just so sick of seeing her beaten down by the Newmans.

Awesome! Thanks Canadian(;

Exposing Abby's affair with Austin does not make Summer a sympathetic character.  I find the little blonde bimbo to be a self-entitled drama queen.  She got the worst of both her parents.  Neither Nick nor Sharon can deal not getting their own way in everything.  Summer's pathetic little whine about why people cheat sounded so puny coming out of her crying little mouth.  Somebody please send her away for a long, long rest.

I meant neither Nick nor Phyllis, not poor set upon Sharon.

Whew!!!! Thanks EngradyPind! I was racking my brain trying to remember when Sharon got her way!!! LOL

Stitch looks as bored with the role as the rest of us!  LOL  The scene between him and Victoria yesterday was completely snooze worthy.

And Victoria looked utterly bored with Stitch.  What was with that little scene, where she starts looking at a file in the Jabot lab.

They really are a snooze at the moment, but I'm not sure whether this has more to do with AH's LOA that was (IIRC) about to take place. She was out of the picture for a few weeks then wasn't she, and it would make sense that the writing might have been backburnered temporarily.  OTOH, I wouldn't be surprised if either of these actors is fired or replaced in the near future. A past Emmy win/new nomination doesn't guarantee an actor's future on any daytime show and they can be replaced at regular intervals during their contracts - for cause or not (and sometimes the stated "cause" can be conflated to suit a showrunner's whim and preference).

Hmmm. [imagine my arched eyebrow]  ..... If the rumor floating around about SC (the one floated by some soap blogger, Chrissy, with no apparent attribution to speak of) is true, Pratt's "great storyline" could be a problem. We're already seeing what this guy thinks is "great story" and I'm not sure that should give anybody any reassurance as to any of their favorites. We're already getting a whopping, heaping helping of the Pratt Treatment on long-suffering Jack Abbott - once again the butt of Victor's latest malicious joke. I'd love to believe that Jack will win this round, but given that past performance is usually a pretty good barometer of where things in the future are headed, I'm not optimistic about Jack's chances of coming out unscathed in this current farcical storyline - nor, sadly, of PB's future longevity on the show either.

It's just my opinion and it's not based on any knowledge of how Pratt has handled other shows, but it appears to me that he seems to single out certain characters (played by certain actors) that don't seem to be personal faves and may well be on a list of expendables that JFP has deemed unworthy. I'm beginning to get the bad feeling that both PB and SC may be on such a list and before they are drummed off the show, the marching orders are to make them such ridiculous examples of human chumps that the viewers will be glad to see them go. (That won't be my sentiments but it might appease McDaniel, or more importantly, her boss Tassler).

MCE is besties with JH's girlfriend apparently so no doubt she and her hubby do lots with them. Might make sex scenes a bit awkward to say the least.

Has there been any chatter about a housecleaning of characters now that Pratt has taken over? I can think of a few I'd like to see kick rocks. And do we know if the pets will still be the pets? (Specifically MCE & the chick playing Avery). Does Pratt have pets, and if so, do we see him bringing any of them onboard?

And lastly, what happened to Leslie & her brother? I'm a sick, twisted individual because for some reason, I think Redaric Williams & Sharon Case would be super hot. :)

I haven't read anything about Pratt's pets, but he seems to have put Victor front and center.  MCE is married to a CBS sports executive, so she is probably not going anywhere.  JFP's favorites are supposed to be Dylan, Summer, and Abby, and I think she brought them all in shortly after taking over.  Several people were replaced with some of the Hollywood Heights people, I think.  You can't trust anything you read, and I have read lots of stuff that never happened.  I read that several big names were being killed in the February disaster, and that didn't happen, unless you count Austin, who may or may not be actually dead.  Who knows what's going on?

^Yeah, I'm seeing Summer and Abby on my screen way more. I'd suggest Pratt is big on them, or at least on giving them a shot.

He is very fond of Jack and Victor (said EB and PB "are Y&R" on Twitter and that he's "honoured to write for them"). This is also reflected in the writing because they are front and centre for the most part.

Phyllis and Avery are getting meaty stuff.

If I had to say "pets" I'd say HK and MO.

Tyler and Leslie were faves of Josh Griffith I think. They faded pretty much after his departure.

I don't know about Pratt's pets, but we all know that they're JFP's and it appears that there's a green light that's been given on writing for these two ingénues. I certainly don't care for HHK and I'm still meh over MO, but I think it's pretty understandable that they'd want to bolster HHK's screen time since she won the Emmy last summer. And both of them being not only young, but still relative newcomers in the business, their compensation has got to be pretty easy on the bottom line at this point.

I think the most interesting thing to note is who's all but disappeared since the fadeout on the Prattastrophies since February sweeps, namely the disappearance of Jill and Colin since the plane crash denouement, and this ever more mystifying turn in the evolving clown car known as The Saga of Kelly and Victurd. Basically, the writing at the moment is leaving me shaking my head at how fucking godawful it is. At this point, there hasn't been one thing that hasn't been touched by Pratt's wrecking balls and nothing is showing any signs of improvement. The writing for Victurd (and I loathe the character so I don't give a shit about how ridiculous and cartoonish they're making EB look playing this human black hole) is especially laughable - and not in a ha! ha! funny way at all. The dialogue and scene setups are just pitifully atrocious, and even what has been solid Y&R standby - the professionalism and talent of the actors (most of them at least) - is questionable now. They all look like an ensemble of washed up has-beens or never-weres that are plying their stagecraft at some dinner theater in Encino at this point. I'd advocate them firing all their dialogue writers and directors, but god damn it, they just did and this is the result! Good work JFP and Pratt! Your jobs are just about done here, and boy I bet the CBS network execs are salivating at the chance to cut the cord on this moribund, rotting piece of (newly created) shit.

I see it the same way. Your last sentence seems plausible and if that is their intention, the aforementioned writing certainly makes it easier for this long time viewer to abandon ship.

They had a live chat with Sharon Case on Facebook today at 6:00 pm Eastern, 3:00 pm Pacific.  I realize it's too late to post it now - I posted it earlier in two inappropriate places - sorry. Mods, I will never learn.  I would also like to say that as far as I can tell, they screwed it up really good.  The original web address just had questions, and nothing ever happened.  I ventured over to that crazy board, where they were giving a different web address, and then I posted that, still in the wrong places.  She answered 27 questions, all of which said basically nothing we wanted to know, and then it did nothing for 30 minutes.  It kept saying to refresh your browser if you couldn't see her answers, but that did no good at all.  Maybe someone who could see it will post something if she gave any answers about storyline or contract rumors.
