No, he shouldn't--she married him because Liam was 30 seconds late, all because of HER (albeit equally well-founded) insecurities.

That's not to say I feel sympathy for Wynutt at all. Like Carter, he deserves anything he gets.

Clearly Eric is not in his right mind if he thinks appointing Rick is a sound business decision. Rick is motivated by revenge and it's so pathetic.

Hopefully Ridge won't try to get Eric declared incompetent in order to reverse Eric's decision to make Rick CEO. It's hard to believe Rick made smart decisions with Forrester International. Rick's starting to make Taylor look good.

Very true, and I agree. Wyatt should never have married Hope since he was clearly her consolation prize. He should realize that she has never loved him. It's sad that he thinks she does. Clearly she doesn't and he has his doubts. If he was secure in his relationship/marriage, then he would even consider resorting to his mother's tricks to keep Hope. Frankly, she's not worth keeping.

I haven't been watching (just keeping up via here) , but annulment? Seriously? As has been noted, there are zero grounds for an annulment here. These writers seem to think it is a magic way to make a marriage disappear, an alternative to a divorce.

So guys, I went to see Ronn Moss at the Crown Casino in Melbourne last night for my birthday (about 24 hours ago), and I have to say, he is definitely a better musician than he is an actor - like, a thousand times better. His solo stuff was a little ordinary, but the last half of the show with Player was fantastic. He opened the show with a Q&A (and advised that anyone asking who he prefers between Brooke & Taylor would be escorted out of the show by security); sadly it was not very informative because people decided to ask stupid, stupid questions like "Why did you leave the show?" (we all know the answer to this, next question), "What do you think of Thorsten Kaye?" (he hasn't watched him so doesn't know/doesn't care), "We want you back on the show!" (not a question). One daft bird asked him what brought him to America in the first place, to which I was like, "WTF lady he was born there"; she then had to ask it another five times, twice because Ronn couldn't hear her (no microphones) and then three more times because he didn't understand the question, and then he made a "WTF" face and replied "Uh, because I was born there?!", at which point he cut the Q&A short. He did mention that he was not happy with the direction the show was going at the time he quit, and implied there was some disagreement between him and Brad Bell when he said something along the lines of Brad inheriting the show from his "wonderful father", which to me sounded like Ronn thought Brad is not very grateful nor respectful of his inheritance.

BUT, it did get almost instantly better when he showed a B&B behind the scenes video he filmed on his camcorder, around 2008ish (parts of it were Eric & Donna's wedding), in which Susan Flannery lets rip at Ronn for following her around with the camera, and I am delighted to report that the classy lady we all know and love was very liberal with the F word; just seeing that was worth the price of admission for mine. And as previously mentioned, the stuff with the band was great and I found myself wishing it was just a Player concert and not just an Evening with Ronn Moss. And I got some great (illegal) photos of the band which I can share later if anyone wants to see them. After the show he signed merchandise for people in the foyer but he was 10 minutes late coming out so he only signed stuff they were selling (only the t-shirts and CDs; I had brought my B&B coffee table book so I missed out), and didn't do any photos either. I got as close as a couple of metres away but he was surrounded by ladies of a certain age pushing each other out of the way to get to him, so I never got a look in. Oh well. I was a little sad on the walk back to the hotel that I hadn't had my photo taken with Ronn Moss on my birthday, but I guess we can't have everything.

So anyway, the moral of this story is that if you like rock & roll and if Player is touring in your area, definitely go and see them because they put on a good show. I only knew one song and I had a great time.

St3phForrester......maybe, if you squint really far,far away? LOL!!

Haha ByaNose, I can now confirm that this is completely untrue. :-D

I guess the writers got the Lope scripts and the Caroline/Rick scripts switched by mistake. I can't blame 'em...it's easy to do when you've written the same story for the past five years.

The Rick/Caroline thing is nothing like the Liam situations. It was a legit marriage where neither was tricked into or lied to about the other and were still in love when it all came out. More to the point, they've also been married a year or so, which is a frigging long time for this show. In the interest of full disclosure, there is no time limit for an annulment of marriage in California, but it's gotta be something extreme like one party lying about their sexuality or financial fruad or something. I'm fairly sure a wife kissing her BIL doesn't count, especially given the number of times this has played out on the show before.

Link to comment

I think the writers' introduction of the annulment theme is to highlight how ridiculous Myrna is since she's the only one talking about it. Aside from the fact that it isn't a real option in this case, she is seriously is wasting her time because Rick is already starting to thaw a bit over Caroline.

Sadly, most of this week will center on Amsterdam and the Foolers.

Link to comment

As for the potential Rick/Caroline divorce, while I'm sure this show will make a huge deal out of Caroline's "taking Rick for all he's worth", etc., she would only be entitled to half of what Rick accumulated during their marriage.  So, if Rick's net worth at the time of their marriage was $50 million and it's now increased to $52 million, Caroline is only entitled to half of $2 million, i.e., $1 million.  She has a high paying job, considerable assets of her own, they have no kids and they were only married for a short time so there likely wouldn't be any monthly support either.

But I'm sure none of this will stop TPTB.

I find it funny that one of HFTF's "messages" is supposed to be environmental awareness.  Yet it doesn't seem very eco-friendly to put four (and sometimes only two) people on a private jet and fly them halfway around the world for a photo shoot.  Fly commercial, Dope!   Your carbon footprint is about a size 99 right now.

With an annulment you have to prove you were married under false pretences, or that you married while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or if you can prove some kind of fraud, or if coerced for the purpose of breaking the law.  I don't see any of those things as applicable.

I would like to see Deacon be a real father to Hope and see that Quinn and Wyatt are two in a pod, being manipulative to the point of distraction, and that he'll tell Hope to run as fast as she can away from those two jackholes.  Wyatt is now acting more like Quinsane with his manipulations, so we see his nut didn't fall far from the tree.

"I don't want Ivy modeling"...I'm surprised Hope didn't then stomp her foot and demand her blankie.  This is a character we are SUPPOSED to like???

Seriously? From the girl whose aunt picked HFTF over Steffy's campaign because the latter was trying to screw her husband?

Pot, meet kettle. Hope really does forget that Ivy's name is on the company, not hers. Brooke earned what she's gotten from FC between the Belief patten, the men's line, Brooke's Bedroom and the important one of not letting all her decisions be based on sticking it to everyone that hurts her personally. She's gone full Steffy and Hope has absolutely no awareness of it. Classic Hope. :/

Yuck, the second worst Mackenzie Browning (aka the real Mrs. Chickenhead) on the show today. Blech. I was loving Amsterdam until this. Now it's ruined. And I was so afraid a worm was gonna squiggle across the floor. Couldn't you just see Mr. & Mrs. Chckenhead going for it? I wonder which one would get it?

Exactly.  I was like, "Oh, so it wasn't just Mac that you were terrible at playing."

How exactly has Ivy "stepped into [Hope's] life?"  Her uncle brought her to the States to fill the gap that Hope was partially responsible for, since she insisted that mentally unstable Quinn come to work for the company, and she's been doing her thing ever since.  Ivy could give a crap about Hope.

As for Quinnsane...honey, when freakin Deacon is being the voice of reason (!) and telling you to slow your roll, it's past time to pull back on the throttle. Seriously.

Yeah, Mackezie #2 can't act period. Unfortunately, Brad Bell has decided that the actors playing Wyatt & Eva need jobs to pay for their mortage & has inflicted them both on us. Ugh! Don't even get me started that she has the worst buck teeth & works in TV. Thank god she isn't on contract.

I haven't watched the show in a while--does this mean Wyatt had another wife in another country?!

Oh, no.  Just a little nod to the fact that Darin Brooks's real life fiancee (aka, Mac #2 from Y&R; the one right after AshBash) has a bit role as Eva, the FC International marketing head.  She showed up in Paris, too.  So basically, B&B sends Darin to these location shoots, Kelly tags along, and then B&B goes, "Hey.  Why not put her on camera, too?  She's not doing anything else."

One of my first experiences with Deacon when he was on Y&R and actually being a good influence on drunk Nikki, so I liked his scenes with Quinn.  Didn't like that Wyatt was giving in to the crazy in his DNA.  (Is this the first time he's done that?)

B&B being able to film on location is such a treat to watch.  After watching the decline ($$) of all the other soaps, I'm not sure if it's poignant, painful or both but I intend to enjoy it while it lasts.

Here is my confusion; wasn't Maya contracted as the HFTF spokes model? I realize she has appointed herself the new couture head model, but even before that, she didn't go to Paris, Hope acted as the model for that showing. And now, here we are in Amsterdam with another major showing and no Maya. It isn't as if her new premo appointment has been announced to the world at large, so I just get confused on who is doing what at FC's these days.

Ivy may be stirring the pot a little, but that is ok. Hope made her decision to marry Wyatt, and she is having his baby now; so, what? She thought Liam would remain Sad Waffles forever? Or maybe, it is only that she wants to see The Liam of Infinite Sadness indefinitely? Or maybe, it is just that she realizes how much happier he is with anyone else but her? Maybe his smiles and goofiness are something new to Hope? Who knows, but she is acting just like Rick; petulant, and willing to hurt the company to exact her pound of flesh. I saw a clip of Ivy modeling, and she is in a really stunning deep blue gown that suits her perfectly; frankly, I hope she steals the show.

It is indeed a scary day when Deacon is the voice of reason, but it will take more than Mr. Latherio to cool Quinn's jets. I don't get what she is all abuzz about anyway. Hope and Wyatt are married, Hope has committed herself to the marriage whether it is what she really wants or not, so why does Quinn still want to mess with Liam? It appears they are going to pass some of Quinn's antics over to Wyatt now. I wonder if that is so they can tame the Quinn character in preparation for Hope's/KM's departure, or if it is going to be something that comes between Wyatt and Hope, and she tries to reconcile with Liam? You know, I would love that to happen, and a very happy and content Liam to tell Hope that he has moved on. If you think she was in a jealous snit yesterday, just wait for that conversation.

Can we get back to the good stuff now? Two days of Hope and the Fooler's is quite enough for me. And I am sure Caroline has washed her hair again, and Ridge should be holding her and smelling it.

Exactly.  I must have missed the scene where Ivy asked if she could model...oh wait, there was no such scene!  And I don't exactly think Ivy is interested in Liam for the sake of screwing with Hope.  If the Hope character is recast, I hope she takes a long vacation and returns as an adult.  To think I liked her when she first was on.

Hope is the face of the Hope Diamond so that's why she did Paris and Amsterdam. That said, when does Maya ever act like a spokesmodel. Shouldn't she be out there guiding young women against the evils of getting yourself locked up because you got involved with a criminal or fucking another woman's husband?

I miss the good stuff, too, but I'm afraid we're not getting any until the end of the week.

Oddly, I didn't have a problem with Hope's saying that she still has feelings for Liam and needs time to feel OK with seeing him with someone else.  Yes, she's married and should have moved on, but reality is rarely that clean and neat.  If I was in Ivy's shoes, I wouldn't have had a problem with that.  Would it feel awkward being around her?  Of course, but Hope's feelings are at least understandable there. Now, all the "I don't want Ivy to model!!" bullshit?  Yes, that's crap.  Have issues seeing the girl with your ex like that, sure (and God knows it goes both ways, Liam isn't thrilled to see Hope and Wyatt together either), but don't try to undermine her at work or deny her opportunities because you aren't over your ex yet.

Hope's feelings are understandable, but it's the entitled way that she acts that bugs me.  She outright tells Ivy that she needs to give Liam time -- but Liam doesn't need the time.  She does.  Ever since Hope revealed that she was pregnant with "Wyatt's" baby (we'll see about that), Liam has backed off.  Hope is still all, "Where are you going?  Who are you going with?  Oh...Ivy."  She asks these questions, but she has to know the answer, so it seems like she just wants to make it as uncomfortable as possible for everyone.

Exactly, KerleyQ.  As much as it pains me to agree with Hope, I thought she was right on when she told Ivy to suck it because she wasn't getting over Liam quickly enough for Ivy.  Ivy has been veering very close to the "I-won-so-let's-all-be-friends" line all these characters have crossed at one time or another.  First, she invites Liam to Amsterdam and expects everyone to be perfectly fine with it.  Then, she makes it seem Hope shouldn't have any feelings at all for Liam because she's married to someone else.  Well, Ivy, in real life, people don't just shut off their feelings like that.  And just as Wyatt (a) knows deep down he's the consolation prize and (b) assumed the risk when he hooked up with someone five seconds after they got dumped, Ivy needs to realize she's in the same spot.  Hope's and Liam's feelings didn't disappear the moment she said "I do".  People don't work that way.

Wyatt and Hope both belong on Broadway where their facial and speech dramatic performances are not wasted on tv viewers but more in tune to playing to the back row!  The guy drives me nuts!  He and Hope playing off each other is like a scene from a Neil Simon play only not so well scripted!

I don't think Ivy expects Dope to just forget her feelings, but she does expect her to act like an adult and stop sulking like a jilted teen. Everyone except Dope is making the best of a difficult/akward situation, the Fooler's "love boat" scheme excepted, and Hope is behaving badly. Liam is actually  having fun and enjoys Ivy's company and they are moving slowly, getting to know each other. They're not constantly kissing all over each other like stupid Hope and Wyatt did at the start of their relationship, but he is behaving affectionately toward her. That drives Dope bananas. That's what you get for marrying option 2 five minutes after option 1 doesn't appear and then having unprotected sex, you dozy cow.

Kelly Kruger (aka Eva, aka Mac2, aka Mrs. ChickenHead) may be annoying, but it was so funny to see her onscreen yesterday with the "models" Hope and Ivy, because she actually looks like a model -- super super skinny, delicate but striking features, reasonably graceful comportment. The other actresses/characters on this show (Hope, Ivy, Maya) are moderately to very pretty, but they do NOT look like models, at least not the kind who would be the faces of a high-end fashion house. MAYBE a Sears catalog. And they all look to be a reasonably healthy weight.

Speaking of the love boat scheme (haha good one!), it actually doesn't bother me.  Yes, Foghorn Leghorn is scheming to get Liam & Ivy closer, but booking a boat ride for them isn't exactly nefarious.  But if I had to guess, I think something unfortunate will happen on the 3 hour tour (something not caused by Wyatt)...it will then come out that Wyatt set the thing up in the 1st place, he'll get the blame for whatever went wrong, he'll be told he's as bad as his mother, blah blah blah, Hope falls into a major snit & leaves.

I'm so glad someone else was mean first, because as I was watching today, all I could think of is 'Hope is kind of a butter-face'. Her body is fantastic, and for the most part, she wears clothes that flatter her (take note, Maya), but while she's fairly attractive, she really is not pretty enough to have 2 brothers fighting over who gets the joy of dating/being engaged to/marrying her that day, because it changes daily with her. In fairness, I find her personality absolutely wretched, so that makes her even less attractive to me, but when everyone goes on about how insanely beautiful she is, it always amazes me, and not in a good way. I'm honestly not trying to pick on looks, because I'm not a HFTF model myself, but if she's going to be the center of the universe for every man in Bell-A under the age of 40 that she doesn't share DNA with, her personality and/or beauty should be exceptional in my opinion (IE Brenda Barrett). Mean girl time over.

Why are Hopeless, Beady Eyes, Ivy, and Wyatt seemingly the only ones who get a free vacation on this show?  They all got to go to Paris, now they are all in Amsterdam.  I guess Brooke, Ridge, and Bill got to go to Dubai, but that was only because Katherine Kelly Lang was already going.  If I were some of the longer-tenured actors on this show (notably John McCook, Jennifer Gareis and I suppose Windsor Harmon) I'd be wondering why they never get to go anywhere.  Then again, I guess they should be wondering why they don't get any story.  Why has Ivy suddenly become one of the show's lead actresses?  The girl who plays Ally must be way pissed, she got the wrong part.

Hope is insufferable.  I used to like her, but she dumped Beady, it's time for her to move on.  Or maybe she will just poison him and kill him.  If she can't have him, nobody will.  It's really too bad that Bradley only uses about a third of the actors on this show.

It will be similar to Quinn being held responsible for Ridge's dunk into the sea, because she showed him the picture of her and Bill in bed.  Quinn's done enough crazy to blame her for in other areas, but Ridge's dip into the sea was not a remotely foreseeable outcome of her showing him a picture.

I think one of the reasons I liked Hope's statement about needing time to get over her feelings for Liam is because it's the first time she's seemed to be truly honest with herself about her issues here.

Not one to defend Hope, because I find her appalling, but Ivy needs to dial it back some. She's all but throwing herself at Liam, which I find disappointing. Granted, Sad Waffles is pretty passive, but still...

It's such a shame that the writers have to fill (waste) viewing time with meaningless montages, flashbacks and daydreams while half of the cast sits idle.

Grisgris, for the life of me, I will never understand why women throw themselves at Liam. Ridge, I get it--he was passionate and suave and good looking in the early days of the show, and more importantly DID STUFF. Scott Clifton is somewhat cute, but honestly he's not what I would have cast as Dolla's son.  Liam should be well above average in the looks department, come to think of it Wyatt is a failure as Bill's kid too.  If anything with Quinn's striking blue eyes and Bill's fantastic features, Wyatt should have plenty of women after his ass and not wasting his time chasing after Hopeless.   I have never gotten the appeal of Liam or Wyatt, they both disappoint.

I've always been a Brooke apologist, so of course Ivy annoyed me yesterday with the "you're more like your mother than you realize" stuff that was clearly meant as an insult. Good for Hope for actually sticking up for Brooke. This must be default mode for Forrester women. I mean, has Ivy even interacted with Brooke more than a couple of times?

  • Love 1

I actually enjoyed the show yesterday; so many good interactions with Quinn and Bill, Liam and Wyatt, Hope and Ivy.

May they never make Quinn and Bill an item; these two are far more entertaining as friendly adversaries, and yesterday was no exception. There were so many darts and daggers flying around Bill's office, but the crowning achievement was Quinn's dream sequence. I thought the doctor holding the baby would turn out to be Quinn, I never expected that Hope would pull the blanket back unveiling a giant Quinn baby head, screaming for "Mama!". And Hope and Wyatt's reactions were spot on and hilarious.

I like Wyatt and Liam when they are alone interacting; I know Wyatt was pushing his own agenda, but he was only speaking the truth. That doesn't mean I want Liam to go hop Ivy's bones or anything, just that some of what Wyatt said made sense. Although I don't really think Liam is the one who is struggling in Amsterdam; that appears to be Hope and Wyatt, so what does that say about them exactly? And I am not prepared to say Wyatt's actions regarding the "Love Boat" ride are anything like Quinn's. Yeah, he is manipulating, but seriously? A boat ride? In Amsterdam? That is not evil, that is romantic. And will be sure to piss Hope off.

I can see Ivy and Hope's side of the argument. I am not so insensitive, or cruel, as to think getting married turns your feelings off for someone else. I have been through something like this in my own life, no, I wasn't ROBBED! or MANIPULATED!, but I broke out of a long term relationship and married someone else. And it took quite awhile to totally get over those old feelings. My problem with Hope is that none of this had to be; she made the impulsive and wreckless decision to marry Wyatt because Liam didn't show up at the appointed witching hour. She knew who she loved, she knew who she wanted to be with, so this is all on her. Ivy does need to cool her jets a bit, she is starting to sound like Maya, but I think she and Liam are working on something sweet and special. And I will even forgive her the "Logan" jibe, because I don't think Hope is acting like Brooke at all. There have been very few times Brooke wasn't clear on her mission, and her desire for Ridge, and most of Brooke's actions were driven by Stephanie's hatred and Ridge's waffling. Hope has no one but herself to blame. Oh, and I was surprised and pleased to hear her actually step up for her mom for once.

Happy to see $Bill back today. I always think it's funny that he has a credenza full of photos of himself in his office.

I don't know how I never noticed the pictures before.  But I read this before watching yesterday's show this morning, and cracked up when I saw them.

I was more on Hope's side than Ivy's during their scenes yesterday.  First, Ivy went with the whole "you're just like your mother!" line of crap.  Bitch, you don't even know her mother.  I appreciate that Hope stood up for Brooke this time and made it clear she considers it a compliment.  Then, before Hope even said it, I was saying to my TV "have you ever been in love before?"  It's not an on/off switch, Ivy.  I do think that Hope should have gone with saying that Ivy needs to have empathy, not sympathy for her.  There's a difference.  She doesn't have to be like "poor widdle Hope, she can't have all the men!"  But, understanding that Hope and Liam are going to still have lingering feelings is the way to go here.  Ivy's the one who was gung ho for Liam to go on this trip, even not initially fessing up to him that they'd be going with Wyatt and Hope until he dug deeper into her invitation.  If you don't like Hope shooting those glances at Liam, why insist on dragging him along on the trip with her and Wyatt?  Not that she should have to never do anything or go anywhere with Liam if they're dating, but dragging him along on this work trip, this early into their relationship (and when you know that he and Hope are both still dealing with the rather fresh pain of tanking their relationship), when she's going to have to repeatedly interact with Wyatt and Hope, was just a really bad idea on her part.  If she genuinely wanted to have a fun trip with Liam in Amsterdam, she could have arranged to stay a few days after their work stuff was done and had Liam meet her out there for a little vacation.  She still gets to spend time with Liam there, and none of them have to deal with the awkwardness of the four of them being in each other's faces.

Yes, Hope made her choice, she has a husband and a baby on the way, and Liam is no longer hers to lay claim to.  Absolutely.  But, it's understandable that she and Liam both still have issues seeing each other with someone else.

Side note: I would have died laughing if, when Hope asked if Ivy has ever been in love, Ivy blurted out "yes, I'm in love with Liam!"  It wouldn't have surprised me, given this is the girl who had already written to her father all about him before they ever even had a date.  She's WAY ahead of him on their relationship timeline, even more than Wyatt was with Hope back right after they met.  I feel like we may as well find out that, when Ivy went into the river, she was switched out and replaced by Steffy, who had gotten plastic surgery to look just like her so she could get back into Liam's life without dealing with their baggage.

I'm kinda with Ivy here. It took Hope about 30 seconds to decide to marry Wyatt, what's the freaking hold-up?  If she wasn't at least half way to "over it" why the hell did she marry the doofus?  We know she only stayed with him because of the fetus, and they all do too. Liam told Ivy and Wyatt would not be so insecure if he didn't think so as well. They are choosing to ignore that while Hope pretends to be so happy with her choice. Hope, pretend better. I do understand feelings just don't dissolve but she could at least act like she isn't in agony whenever Liam so much as smiles at Ivy. But she is like Brooke and I appreciate Ivy's outsider viewpoint. They don't let go of their men and they are a couple of brother-fuckers. More even, in Brooke's case.  Hope made her choice, she gets no breaks from me and I wish Ivy would remind her of the speed with which she made that choice. Hope doesn't seem interested in changing her mind so why not let Liam move on? Because she isn't ready? Selfish child.

Quinn's fantasy dream sequence of Hope giving birth, and the baby having Quinn's face, saying Mama, and Hope and Wyatt screaming... funniest thing I've seen on this show since the Donna/Pam feud.

Actually, Wyatt wasn't screaming.  He was grinning like a proud papa, which made the whole thing even funnier!
