Popular Post CountryGirl August 2, 2019 Popular Post Share August 2, 2019 So I got to cut out of work a little early and so I am home, watching AND recapping. We pick up right where we left off, at Wyatt's beach house, and Liam is continuing to grill Flo and I am HERE for it. Liam: "Say it again." Wyatt: "Maybe you should just back off." Maybe you should just STFU, Wyatt. Liam, coolly: "You watched my family fall apart for MONTHS, so just say it now." Wyatt, still defending this trick: "Just back off-" Liam stares at him as if he can't believe his brother is this damn delusional. Flo: "Phoebe is Hope's." Wyatt: "What are you even saying right now?" Flo: "I was never pregnant. I never had a child." Liam closes his eyes as the words and the truth rush over him once again. We cut over to the hotel where creepy Thomas is creepily touching Hope and creepily sharing about how he's been obsessed with her for years. Whispering about touching her hair and her cheek and damn, he's fucking vomit-inducing so good for you, MA, I guess. At the cliff house, Steffy is telling Thomas "no more stories about Phoebe, okay." Yeah, good luck with that. Douglas asks if he can call his daddy and OMG, my heart just breaks for him. His mother is dead and his dad is a psycho. She shows him how to use the iPhone and he's adorable as he watches her and pulls on his chin. Sensing her distress, he tells her "I love you, Aunt Steffy" and hugs her and it's pretty darn sweet. She responds that she loves him then looks up as there's a knock on the door. Douglas steps over to the playpen as she goes to answer it and says "I know your name is Beth" as he looks down at her. She looks up at him as if to say "THANK YOU!" Oh goodie, it's Ridge. Steffy sends Douglas to the nursery so she can talk to her father alone and he immediately senses something is up. She shares that he told her Beth is alive and that Phoebe is Beth. Back at the hotel, Hope appears to have finally had enough of Thomas' pawing and pushes him away. Dare I say a hint of fog is lifting as she tells him he's not being patient and, when asked what he's doing wrong, tells him he's not SEEING her. AT ALL. The music turns dark and ominous, not unlike Thomas' beady eyes, but before he can react, the phone rings. Hope sees that it's Steffy calling and that he needs to answer her because she's caring for Douglas. Thomas can't talk his way out of not taking the call. Thomas: "What is it?" Nice. At first, he doesn't think anyone is there but then hears Douglas saying "Daddy." Oh, that poor, sweet little boy. He tells him that Kelly is asleep and Thomas says "You called to tell me that?" Dick. Douglas gives it right back, telling him "Aunt Steffy and Liam are nice. Not mean like you!" Hee! I LOVE this kid! Thomas steps away to whisper about how he feeds and clothes him and buys him toys (and WTF, dude, that is YOUR minimum responsibility as a parent). Douglas is all, okay, you want to trot that shit out again, well here you go: "Kelly and Beth are nice, too." Buuuuurn. Thomas hisses: "I told you never to talk about Phoebe like that." Douglas, undeterred, "Phoebe IS Beth. And I told LIAM, too!" Oh yes, he did! Thomas visibly blanches: "You did what? What exactly did you say, Douglas?" Douglas hangs up on him. The ultimate fuck you. That kid is made of AWESOME and as stone-cold as his great grandmother. Hope, clearly not privy to the conversation but knowing something is up and wanting any sliver of excuse to get the hell out of Rapetown, asks after Douglas and if he needs them. Thomas suddenly asks if Liam and Steffy know where they are and Hope confirms that they do. And as Thomas does a quick calculation, he decides the best option is for them to leave. Hope doesn't even blink before she's practically running to the other room to change. Back at Wyatt's, he is still grasping at straws, asking why Flo is saying what she is and why Liam is prompting her and give up the freaking ghost already, Wyatt. Liam, quietly: "Because it's true." Wyatt: "Stop! Just stop!" Flo can't even look at him now. Oh, did you finally grow a conscience, bitch? Now that your perfect little house built on quicksand is about to come tumbling down? He asks why she would lie about saying she was Phoebe's mom and OMG, does he really not get it? Liam wants to know how it all went down. Wyatt, still sputtering: "So Phoebe and Beth are twins." Liam, with more patience than I would have for Wyatt's chucklefuckery right now: "Phoebe is Beth. I know, it sounds crazy. Sometimes the truth works like that. Flo, all the cards are on the table, you might as well say it, too." Flo turns to face them both and finally admits the truth: "Phoebe is Beth. Beth is alive." Wyatt makes that strangled shocked face again as Liam nods to himself, vindication and relief in his eyes. Back at Steffy's, Ridge is questioning what's going on with Douglas and asks after Liam but before they can get into it, Thomas calls Steffy and she wastes zero time quizzing him on what he told Douglas about Beth being alive and Phoebe being Beth. He suggests Steffy put him in a timeout. What an ass. I have to like Steffy just a tiny bit here for grilling her brother and also scoffing at his suggestion of punishing an innocent little boy. She fills him in on Liam's findings with the birth certificates and him leaving to find Flo. Thomas' face is basically "Oh shit" right now. He's pale and sweaty and everything and it is delicious. He hangs up and starts pacing. Yeah, that'll turn back time. Hope comes into the room, looking so beautiful in a black dress. It's a testimony to MA that his look of almost childlike awe and wonder when he sees her. It almost makes me forget about how creepy Thomas is and how I want him to DIAF. Again, I said almost. He tells her to change into some traveling clothes and she asks where they are going and he says it's a surprise. For him included. She heads off to pack as Thomas says "it can't end this way." He thinks up a plan and he thinks it up quick, calling someone to meet him at FC with a helicopter. Back at Wyatt's, Wyatt is on the sofa, head in his hands as Liam continues to interrogate Flo as is his due. Liam: "How?" Flo: "Does it even matter?" Bitch, AYFKM right now? Liam: "YES. It MATTERS. I held my daughter in my arms. She wasn't breathing, she wasn't moving." It was, quite literally, the worst moment of his and Hope's lives. Flo: "She wasn't Beth." Liam's eyes widen: "HOW?" Flo resumes her song and dance about her dear old friend and Liam cuts her off, saying "I don't care about your friend, I want to know about Beth." Flo: "He needed me to do him a favor. He wanted me to pose as the birth mom of a baby." Wyatt is up off the couch, incredulous: "And you said YES????" She blathers on about not being given the whole story and honey, there's no walking any of this back. So stop trying to paint yourself as a victim. Liam gets her to confirm that this "friend" was Taylor's contact. Flo throws out that she found out she was an accomplice after the fact. Um, no. You were in it from jump and with $50k to boot which I'm sure she isn't going to mention. She then shares that said friend was also the doctor who delivered Beth. She says there was another woman who gave birth at the clinic that night and that baby was stillborn. Liam quickly connects the dots: "It was Buckingham." Wyatt and Liam both look like they want to throw up and Wyatt, tearful says, "So he put a dead baby into Hope's arms, knowingly?" Yep. And this bitch has known that the WHOLE time. That's the prize you left Sally for, you dumb fucking idiot! Liam: "WHY?" She reveals his massive gambling debts, the threats on Zoe's life. Liam, restraining himself I don't know how, practically chokes here, saying, "He sold my baby for a GAMBLING DEBT???" Flo: "Yes. Taylor had told him that she would pay a lot of money to get a baby for Steffy to adopt. When that night on Catalina happened, he saw an opportunity and made the switch." Liam, his eyes boring into her: "And you knew about this..." Flo whines about how she wanted to tell "so many times" and OMG, she had everything she needed, oxygen and opportunity to have told this truth a million times already. She actually has the galls to say this: "I had this new life and I was being threatened." How Liam doesn't throat punch her here I will never know (and no, I'm not condoning violence) but DAMN! Liam assumes Dr. Fuckingham was threatening her and he learns that it wasn't him and then she shares just how many other fucking people knew the truth and said NOTHING. Zoe, Xander, Shauna, and Thomas. And poor dead Emma. She shares that Thomas told her that if she talked, what happened to Emma would happen to her. Liam can't even process all this as he immediately sizes up the danger to Hope and tries to call her. But her phone is in the hotel room and Thomas and Hope are now at FC. She senses something is amiss and wants to know why they are there and why there are heading off in a helicopter. He teases her about whisking her away and she calls bullshit, telling him she needs a better reason than that. He dodges her questions, then takes off, presumably to check on his little kidnapping arrangements. Back at Wyatt's, Liam tells them they'll finish this later but he needs to find Hope. Flo's phone rings and guess who? Yep, it's Thomas. Liam, to Flo: "I'm not here. You haven't seen me." She shushes him as she answers, speakerphone on, "What now?" Thomas, whispering as Hope, looking bored, is just beyond earshot: "I don't like your attitude." Flo: "Being blackmailed is supposed to make people cheerful?" She could have stopped the blackmail from ever happening but she has a part to play at the moment with crazy cakes. Thomas questions her about being on speakerphone and she tells him she's got her hands full and wants to know what he wants. Thomas: "Okay, we have a problem." You don't say. "My sister says Liam's headed your way." Flo: "Why?" Thomas: "Because he thinks he knows something. But you have to shut it down." Flo: "How am I supposed to do that?" Pam shows up then to grab something, then takes off again, but it's long enough for them to confirm that they are FC. Thomas warns for her to keep her mouth shut and that she knows what will happen if she doesn't. Liam is running out the door, leaving Flo to finally face the music with Wyatt. Thomas feigns sweetness and concern, telling her "I'm sorry, okay?" I'm thinking Hope wasn't bored after all but just quietly finding her backbone and taking Thomas' full measure as she tells him "Nothing about this feels okay." He lies and tells her he was talking to Steffy and that she encouraged them to go. Hope: "If we're going to go somewhere, I want to know where." Thomas: "I'm your husband and I'm asking for your trust." Except he's not since their marriage isn't legal because the annulment with Liam isn't legal and as for trust, I'd take my chances with Dracula over this guy. He reminds her that this is what she wanted and that there's nothing he wouldn't do for her. Including murder and rape by proxy, apparently. He tells her to wait in the office while he checks in with the pilot and Hope gives him a long look. Then, she slowly walks into the CEO office. She closes the door behind her. Takes a deep breath. And LOCKS the door! OMFG, my girl is BACK! Back at Wyatt's, Flo is still whining about how "You can't hate me more than I hate myself." Oh, I wouldn't be too sure about that. "I'm sure you have questions." Wyatt, all trace of caring and concern for his precious girlfriend gone from his voice now, "Do I?" He looks like he's just been sick or is about to be, saying "I mean, everything has been a lie. Doesn't that pretty much sum it up?" Pretty much. Flo, sniffling: "I knew I would lose you when I finally told the truth." As you should, heifer. "But you gotta believe me. I am STILL the woman you fell in love with." He doesn't have to believe anything you say, ever, and he doesn't even know who the hell you are, if he ever did. All he know is he chose so very, very wrong and did Sally so, so dirty. Wyatt can't even look at her. We cut to a helicopter flying through the air, heading for FC no doubt, and I'm liking this little bit of action porn. In the CEO office, Hope is leaning against the desk, shaking her head, as if to clear the fog and cobwebs and whatever the hell else that's there, clouding her mind and her judgment, telling herself "I don't have to go." She approaches the door, repeating, "I don't have to go." There's pounding on the door and please let it be Liam! And it is, but Hope, having unlocked the door and whirled away so fast, doesn't realize it as first and she's as fiery as I've ever seen as she tells whom she thinks is Thomas that "I'm not comfortable with how you've been-" Liam enters quietly. And then she turns and sees him. Hope: "Liam." There is pure joy and relief in that one word. Liam, looking around: "Where is Thomas?" Hope: "Is Douglas all right?" Liam: "He is more than all right. He's my freaking hero!" Swoon! Hope reveals Thomas is with the pilot and Liam echos: "The pilot????" She says he ordered a helicopter to take them somewhere and Liam is all NAWW to that and immediately goes to lock the door. He leans against the door for a moment, steeling himself to tell her that which he's only had an hour or so to process himself. Hope: "Liam, what is going on?" Liam: "Hope...they lied to us. They stole from us." And this next line makes my heart break into a million pieces because that is EXACTLY what they did: "They sold her like a piece of furniture." Hope is understandably confused: "Who?" Liam: "Everything that we wanted, everything that we thought we lost...we didn't." Back at Steffy's, Douglas, resident hero, joins Steffy, Beth, and Ridge on the couch. He tells Ridge that he hopes his daddy isn't mad at him when he overheard him talking about Beth and told him not to say anything. Poor Douglas. Steffy and Ridge share a look and you can see them mentally adding things up. Back at FC, hey - a LDG sighting!!! Anyway, Thomas is up near the helicopter pad, barking about what's taking so long. The gig is up, baby. No helicopter rides for you. Unless it's a police copter. Back in the office, Hope tells Liam he's not making sense. Liam: "There was another mother in the clinic that night. A mother who actually suffered the tragedy we thought was our's." Hope doesn't even know how to process what he's trying to tell her, so he shares more: "Hope, her baby was stillborn." Hope, shaking now, can only say, "Okay." But doesn't even know what it means just yet. Liam: "And you held her." Hope: "No, I held Beth!" Liam: "No...." He reaches out for her. "Dr. Buckingham lied." Hope is still in denial, questions why they are talking about this, her mind and body going into self-protection mode. She is so scared of the truth, not daring to believe because if she does and she turns out to be wrong, it just might kill her this time. Liam: "Because Douglas is right. Beth is alive." Hope snaps, it's just too painful: "Okay, Liam, STOP! It was hard enough hearing it from him, but hearing it from you-" Liam: "Where do you think he heard it from? His father! Thomas has been using this against us the whole time." Hope: "Look, I know Thomas may not be the man I thought he was but," She chokes on a sob, "he would never-" Liam holds her within his arms: "Listen to me. Steffy thought that she was adopting Flo's baby." Hope: "She did. Phoebe." Liam: "No. No. Phoebe is not---I called the doctor named on the birth certificate. She never even heard of Flo Fulton. At no point was Flo ever a patient at that hospital." Hope: "You must have called the wrong hospital." She doesn't dare believe it, no matter how much she wants to. Liam: "I already talked to Flo. She confirmed it. She lied. She was never pregnant." Hope, trying desperately to process the unthinkable, not only the possibility that her baby daughter is alive after all but that she has been lied to for months, gasps, "How could she-" Oh lovely, it's psycho at the door, asking if Hope is in there. Liam, ignoring him: "You passed out that night, remember?" Thomas realizes Liam is in there with Hope and that the door is locked. Hahahahahahaha! Liam: "On Catalina, on Catalina." Hope, pleading: "Don't make me think about that night." Liam: "You thought you were safe, you should have been safe. I wasn't there. I should have been there. You passed out. That's all it takes for a thief to do their job." Hope, sobbing: "What thief?" Liam, continuing to ignore Thomas' rants of "don't listen to him: "They took her and they sold her. Steffy had no idea. She didn't know." Hope, continuing to sob: "What didn't Steffy know?" Liam, telling her the news of a lifetime, a thousand lifetimes: "That's Phoebe's mother...is YOU." Hope, tearful but as clear-eyed as ever, asks simply: "Beth?" Liam: "She never died." Thomas shouts out that Hope is his wife and their honeymoon is waiting and as crazy as it sounds, I had to LOL. That is the pure camp B&B is known for and I've missed it, even with highs takes emotional rollercoaster episodes. And again, kudos to MA for doing that with a straight face. They ignore his antics, the music swelling and manipulatively causing my eyes to fill as Liam says "Beth is alive, Hope." And we fade to black. I hate, hate, hate that it's Friday and it will seem like forever before the show is on again...and I never thought I'd type those words again. And yeah, this is pretty much me right now: Happy Weekend, all! 35 Link to comment
TobinAlbers August 2, 2019 Share August 2, 2019 Annnnnd they’re already planting the twist in this story. Did you notice Steffy say that Kelly has a doctor’s appointment? And notice how Kelly’s sleeping a lot lately? What if Lil Kelly is sick and when they test Beth and/or Liam they’re not a match and Bill is revealed as the dad? Douglas trolling his dad was amazing. Liam summarizing that his daughter was sold for a gambling debt was chilling. The look on Wyatt’s face as Flo appealed to him was a man utterly enraged and the love in him dying by the second. He has been through that loss with Hope and realizing that she was put through that hell again by a woman he thought he knew has to be gutting. And both men showed the proper horror at the idea that a person - doctor no less- would steal a passed out woman’s child and put a dead baby in her arms when she awakens. Hope made a critical decision for herself today when she finally told herself ‘You do not have to go with him’ and was hightailing it out of there before she knew Liam was there. She finally chose her safety and well being. And hot damn the absolute joy and relief when she realized it was Liam at that door and not Thomas just about broke your heart. Flo spilling everything including how Emma was involved was impressive. If the show actually stuck with characterization it’d be her death warrant as when Bill hears about this? Shauna, Zoe, Buckingham, and Flo would all be running for their lives. Zoe ceased being a victim when she covered for her father and choked when attempting to tell Hope. She’s as guilty as the rest and should be serving time. Flo would be spared because she’s Brooke’s niece and that’d be the only reason. I wouldn’t be surprised if Bill and Justin begin a hunt for Buckingham only to find his rotting remains somewhere with someone else he screwed over having gotten to him first. 1 18 Link to comment

Amazing recap as always. That scene with Liam and Hope was incredible. And that he had to tell her their baby was gone on Catalina and today got to tell her Beth is still alive - beautiful and horrifying. 15 Link to comment

TigerLynx August 2, 2019 Share August 2, 2019 I liked Steffy telling Thomas she was not going to put Douglas in time out because Douglas had not done anything wrong. I would be jumping for joy if Kelly is Bill's daughter. The writers just need to end the triangle from hell for good. Let Steffy really move on. 14 Link to comment

mightysparrow August 2, 2019 Share August 2, 2019 @Country girl, I've missed your recaps so much. I've missed this community so much. And, believe it or not, I've missed this show so much. Because when it's good, IT'S SO GOOD. SC and AN were giving a clinic in soap acting today. I LOVE that my girl Hope decided to save herself BEFORE Liam came to the door. She fought through all her grief and sickness and CHOSE HERSELF. I know there are a lot of people out there who loathe Hope, but THIS is how a woman becomes STRONG. And when the Emmy's are handed out, I want the little boy who plays Douglas to get a category all for himself because he is a CHAMP. The look that Ridge and Steffy shared was a definite 'the jig is up' look. Too bad Taylor wasn't there. Maybe she'd rush out and shoot Thomas in the back. Or even better, herself. I loved this entire episode but when Liam said that they sold their baby like FURNITURE, I gasped. Because that's how Beth was treated, not just by the man and woman who sold her but by the two women who bought her. Beth was an object to Dr. Shady, Flo, Hauxdilox and Taylor. She was a means to an end. Hauxdi can pull her weave and wail about how she's Phoebeth's 'mommy' but it's just like Liam, Beth's father said. She and her mother bought Beth like she was a THING. I wish I could squeeze a drop of sympathy for Wyatt but after the way he did Sally, he deserve every bit of shock and horror he's experienced. And, yes, I DID notice that Flo didn't mention the 50 large she was given to help traffic a child. I CAN'T WAIT for Monday. I never thought I'd ever say this about B&B again. 17 Link to comment
Gam2 August 3, 2019 Share August 3, 2019 I cannot believe that Douglass had the balls to tell his dad to piss off when all of those ADULTS were so scared of Thomas as to not be able to tell the damn truth that affected so very many people! I want all of them to go to jail. I’d try to list all of those at fault in this horrific story but I’m sure I’d miss a bunch of them. 1 19 Link to comment
mightysparrow August 3, 2019 Share August 3, 2019 I think it's time for Dollar Bill Spencer to return and pour his wrath down like the Lord's vengeance on ALL of those who treated his baby grand-daughter like she was PROPERTY. We know Ridge isn't going to do it because all he wants is for Liam to keep fucking Hauxdilox. Because he can't. 1 17 Link to comment

MoTV August 3, 2019 Share August 3, 2019 Wyatt: "Sally, you kept from me for a couple of days that Thomas was into Hope. I can't trust you." Flo "Hold my beer." Joimiaroxeu August 3, 2019 Share August 3, 2019 (edited) Why would Steffy let Douglas call Thomas when she knows Thomas and Hope were supposed to be doing honeymoon stuff? She basically c-blocked her own brother, lol. Douglas called Thomas to sh*t-talk him!!!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️ Liam: So other people knew? Who else knew? Flo: You got an LA metro area phone book? Reading all the names out of there will be quicker. Liam: You are freaking kidding me. Wyatt: Hello, Postmates? Can I get a hot humble pie delivered ASAP? That final scene was amazing but AN does that wide-eyed, stupefied look a lot so to me it's lost its effectiveness. SC has been steady killing it though. And the music was too syrupy, IMO. They probably should've gone with no background music at all. Just stunned silence. Edited August 3, 2019 by Joimiaroxeu 1 11 Link to comment

TigerLynx August 3, 2019 Share August 3, 2019 When all of this finally comes out and everyone knows, I really want Justin to say to Zoe, Flo, and Xander, "So you were being threatened by Thomas, you thought he might have been involved in Emma's death, you kept the secret about Phoebe/Beth for months, Flo got paid $50,000 for her part in the crime, guess what you pathetic losers you are at the very least accessories after the fact to kidnapping and murder. Enjoy prison. Also, if in the commission of a felony (which kidnapping is) a death results, all parties involved can be charged with murder." 2 11 Link to comment
bannana August 3, 2019 Share August 3, 2019 Who knew that Austin, er Thomas, could be the creepiest creep that ever creeped?! 😮 Shauna, you sure did abandon your baby girl pretty quick when you realized the jig was up. I guess that is the end of DR on Show? She just bailed on her daughter. After she told her to continue the lie. So much great acting by SC and the actor who plays little Douglas. And the actress who plays Beth! How is it possible that she can be that amazing? I truly hated this storyline and actually stopped watching for many months. But checking back in now, I do like the pay-off of this week. They better not screw it up next week. 14 Link to comment

Not only did Flo forget to mention the $50,000. She also didn't admit they could have told the truth long before Thomas returned, found out, and started threatening them. tessaray August 3, 2019 Share August 3, 2019 The more I think about it, the weirder that phone call from Douglas to Thomas was. He obviously felt safe enough to taunt his father but if Flo hadn't confessed, life would have gone on, he would have had to go home to Thomas and Hope. Then what? I know TPTB would never actually take advantage of a real story opportunity but if Thomas had killed Caroline, Douglas's behavior would make more sense. Or maybe he mentally abused her into committing suicide and the aneurysm was just a convenient fiction. Or maybe Caroline is still alive but committed to a mental institution. I mean, if you're going to make a legacy character a psychopath, you might as well get some stories out of it. 🙂 4 2 2 Link to comment

NinjaPenguins August 3, 2019 Share August 3, 2019 Douglas is my fucking hero. I agree that Steffy is a victim too, and it’s especially horrific that her own brother would do this to her. I just can’t muster a lot of tears for her baby buying butt. To be fair, I never liked her, but it must be awful to be betrayed by your big brother just so he could (try to) get laid. I think I’d be okay with Steffy getting custody of Douglas. Not that he could replace Phoebe for her, but she does seem to love him and know how to interact appropriately with a child. Also, have I mentioned Fuck Thomas? I think if Thomas had successfully roofied and raped Hope, this show would have lost the rest of its viewers. I can’t imagine how he treated Caroline, and I’m starting to inch closer to the “he killed her” bandwagon. Wyatt was always my favorite and he really pissed me off when he dumped Sally. Hopefully he won’t forgive Flo, because, yeah, helping to sell a baby like a piece of furniture is pretty fucking unforgivable. Sally needs to make him eat ALL the crow. 21 Link to comment

Of course, if any of the grown ass adults who knew the truth had done the right thing months ago, it wouldn't have been left up to five year old Douglas to be the adult in the room. Douglas puts all of these grown ups to shame. Also, when Douglas asked Steffy if he had to go back to Daddy, it was clear he was afraid of Thomas, but he still did the right thing. La di Diva August 3, 2019 Share August 3, 2019 My fantasy SL is that Bill has been AWOL for weeks because of a frantic call from Karen. Caroline is terribly hurt, in a coma, and Karen suspects, with no evidence, that Thomas tried to kill her. Thus Bill and the Moms has been waiting in a secret clinic in SecretCountryStan for Caroline to wake up and tell them what happened. Meanwhile the Bell A WTF-ery has been going on. Caroline will make an appearance, either in person or via Skype, once Thomas is in custody and having a hearing before Judge Lando. Det. Sanchez will wheel in the screen, Caroline will appear and read Thomas for filth. Prior to this Justin has been on the case after Xander finally grows a pair and tells him he thinks PsychoCreepyTom murdered Emma. J and X take what they find to Det Sanchez. So at the hearing Thomas is charged with Carowhine 's attempted murder, and Emma's murder (based on Justin's evidence). Let's throw in attempted kidnapping of Hope and possession of illegal drugs -- because of course the police will find the Molly in the drawer. Dr. Shady is charged with human trafficking, Flo as an accomplice because she knew and took money -- definitely want that to come out. ZoeXan are accessories after the fact to everything. Thomas does not have a brain tumor -- he is just an evil person and is carted off to jail. Douglas is reunited with Caroline and his GrandMoms. Caroline thanks Hope for loving D and keeping him safe. Hope and Liam promise to visit NY often with Baby Beth and Liam tells Douglas he's a brave brave hero. [If B&B lasts that long then Show could re-unite SORAS-ed Douglas and Beth and pursue a romance] Oh and somewhere in there I want Thomas to spill that he revealed the whole PhoBeth thing to Sludge days before the wedding and Sludge told him to keep quiet because Steffy deserved to have Liam and Tom deserved to have Hope and Douglas would get a new Mommy. I want Brooke to squint eye Sludge so hard his face cracks. And then throw all his greasy things out on the drive and set them on fire. CrayTay will be wailing about the evil Hope Logan stealing Hauxdi's baby, and I want Hope, the Hope who locked the CEO office door, to shut her down with "Beth is MY baby. She always was MY Baby. I'm taking MY baby home." Then there can be several weeks of clean up -- Quinn reaming Shauna for here part in all this. Quinn having to admit she was completely wrong about "honest" Flo being better than lying Sally.. The Logan sisters reading Sahuna and Flo for what they did, especially Flo. Bonus points if it's revealed Storm is not Flo's dad. Wyatt reading Flo for filth. Wyatt grovelling to Sally and asking for forgiveness. and the 2 of them starting tentatively as friends again. Maybe, but not necessarily more waaaaay down the road. Liam and $Bill slowly cautiously, tentatively working on their relationship being sorta friends first and then who knows.. Then the huge reveal that Kelly is Bill's and that Hauxdi has suspected it all along ecause of something Bill said the day she got the DNA results. MOnths and months of drama from that. But..... absolutely no drama for Lope and the annulment was illegal, they are still married and are happy for a long, long time. Any Lope drama Show wants to create can be surrounding the couple, but not drama in their relationship. 16 Link to comment

bannana August 3, 2019 Share August 3, 2019 It is sweet justice that, in spite of Thomas threatening everyone and potentially having caused Emma's death (and revelling in it), it is his own words that brought him down. Not sure where they go from here with Thomas, he is clearly a sociopath. Even Douglas instinctively knew that. 😱 I guess they want to salvage Flo, thus she is making Thomas the big bad. But all she ever had to do was open her mouth and tell the truth. If she was afraid, all she had to do was go to the cops. But I am sure the Logans will rally around her. 🙄 8 Link to comment
TigerLynx August 3, 2019 Share August 3, 2019 (edited) It would be foolish for them to try to salvage Flo since she had the power from the word jump to stop this from happening. Flo knew the day she lied and told Steffy she was PhoebeBeth's mother that the baby had been stolen from Hope, and Hope was told her baby died. Flo had numerous opportunities for months before Thomas ever got involved in this to tell the truth, and she didn't. Flo is despicable. ETA: When Nicole stole Sami's baby on DOOL, I didn't like the way the SL dragged on, but at least I knew when Sami found out there would be hell to pay. There was, courtesy of Sami. No one had to fight her battles for her. Not only did I love the Sami/Nicole catfight scene, but when Sami found out EJ was the one who kidnapped Sydney a second time, and dumped him at the alter, it was thing of beauty. I didn't care that Sami shot EJ in the head either. Edited August 3, 2019 by TigerLynx 1 1 9 Link to comment

They need to get a DNA test before they do anything. Carter looked over the adoption papers, and the court approved the adoption papers. Now that the doctor who supposedly signed the birth certificate, says she didn't, and Flo, the person who claimed to be the baby's birth mother, now says she isn't, that makes the adoption questionable. The court would probably rule the adoption invalid. However, if that happens before Liam has DNA proof that PhoebeBeth is Liam and Hope's daughter, the court will take custody, and place her with child services until there is at least a hearing. They might do that anyway. Knowing Brad Bell and the writers, they won't bother with any of this, but realistically, Liam and Hope wouldn't be able to just walk into Steffy's home and take PhoebeBeth. And aint this a sticy wicket? Watching Douglas give Liam the straight facts (then call his Father to tell him to have conjugal relations with himself). Flo FINALLY spitting it out (minus a few key details). And then finally FINALLY Hope getting the unvarnished truth... Made me feel like the scene at the end of The Wiz where all the sweatshop workers shed their heavy dark rags and emerge im white bikinis and start dancing around to "Brand New Day" 2 3 Link to comment
CharlizeCat August 5, 2019 Share August 5, 2019 I wish that we'd get a bit of closure, then detour for a while (a LONG while). Reunite the Lope family and then do the DNA testing. Once it is proven that Beth is really Beth, hit the "pause" button. Let that story simmer along with events like maybe Steffy wants to sue for custody, and the police are tracking down Dr. Shady, Flo, et al. Deal with Thomas. BUT ... the main story(ies) could be the demise of Bridge and best of all, Kelly turns out to be Bill's. I would rather see battle between Steffy and Katie (at least HT can act) than Steffy going at it with Hope over Phoebeth with Li(a)mp Waffle caught in the middle. I'm not even suggesting a Katie/Bill/Steffy triangle because I don't think that Steffy and Bill are into each other any longer. If Kelly is Bill's bio-daughter, Katie is going to go BSC because Bill will want to do the right thing through financial support and of course, visitation. How would it affect Will? I can see Katie's green-eyed monster returning full-on. I'd also be quite happy to see a troubled Ridge seek a crying shoulder and listening ear in Quinn again. Instead of going back to Wyatt, Sally and Brooke should team up and start their own fashion house. I'm just sick of seeing Hope, Liam and Steffy every day. I'm sure that SC and AN must need a well-deserved break to be in sideline stories for the rest of the year. Those two must be exhausted. 1 2 Link to comment
Joimiaroxeu August 5, 2019 Share August 5, 2019 Quote (then call his Father to tell him to have conjugal relations with himself). That was the best thing about last week's scenes IMO. Douglas coolly asked Aunt Steffy if he could use her phone to call his daddy and then he proceeded to tell his daddy to FOAD because the Truth is Out! After this I don't see how Douglas can return to Thomas' custody because pretty soon everyone will know what a horrible father Thomas has been to him, at least wrt to the whole Beth and Hope mess. (Not sure if they'll try to charge Thomas with Emma's death since there's no real evidence.) I'm hoping it'll turn out Caroline is still alive, or that Douglas' two grandmommies from back East will come get him. 6 Link to comment

I swear fans have been offering up this suggestion since Brooke lost her CEO position 16 (!!!) years ago, but instead all we get is her chasing after inappropriate men and operating with one brain cell. Yes, she should be running a business. Hell, it doesn't have to be in fashion....remember, she did graduate near the top of her class with a degree in chemistry. You'd think she and her SIL Liam could be angel backers for some new green product or service that could be marketed as a game changer in the industry....like Belief 2.0, idk. 8 Link to comment
TigerLynx August 5, 2019 Share August 5, 2019 I want Kelly to be Bill's daughter, but if Katie tries to sue for custody (which she has no legal standing to do), I hope Steffy ruins her. I want Douglas to stay with Steffy and Kelly. If Liam and Hope just take Phoebe/Beth from Steffy without court approval, they could get charged with kidnapping. They need to have a DNA test done. I wish Taylor had called the cops on Brooke when she ran off with Jack. Liam and Hope need to be backburnered. Send the blithering felonious idiots (Flo, Zoe, Xander, Thomas) to prison. 4 Link to comment

I kinda wish Hope, Liam, and Beth took off for Europe for some bonding time in a flip of when Steffy left earlier this year with the girls. They need to get away from the drama of the fallout and Steffy needs to get used new dynamic. Of course there is no drama if Lope and Beth book out of there too quickly so we’ll see them for a few weeks at least. The twist of Kelly being Bill’s would be a stunner, but Liam’s not gonna simply go ‘Oh well, too bad so sad , but I have Beth back so it’s all good. ‘ That would be a major dynamic shift for him and would decimate the very little stable ground he and Bill had made by making that betrayal fresh again in the tangible form of Liam’s daughter suddenly becoming his sister. You may free Liam and Steffy of each other as romantic interests but Liam and Bill would be back to square one. Even if Liam is jubilant over Beth’s return, I can’t imagine him saying upon the reveal of Kelly not being his ‘ This feels right. It was meant to be that Kelly is actually Bill’s and that she’s my sister.’ The Steam fans would blow up the internet. And to do the story properly, Liam would remain on our screens for another 6-8 weeks at least. I hope we see some fallout for Carter. Dude didn’t do his due diligence in making sure the adoption was legit and was an accessory to a kidnapping and child trafficking. If he had called the hospital like Liam did at the time of the adoption, he’d have uncovered what Liam did and blown this wide open. As it stands it’d be an interesting story if he got his license to practice suspended due to his negligence and had to figure out what to do with himself. Maybe he blames the Forresters for getting him into this mess and is recruited by Justin in his bid for justice for Emma to take down the Forresters. He needs something new to do. 2 9 Link to comment

We'd be subjected to months of Liam & Hope agonizing over Beth being in a foster home. Since she's been treated like a piece of furniture from birth, I'd be fine with them handing her back like a piece of furniture 🙂 I just want to say, I've ragged on SC's acting A LOT, but this time I can't, he's doing a great job. 10 Link to comment
TigerLynx August 5, 2019 Share August 5, 2019 There should have been other SLs going on to break up the monotony of this one. Liam and Hope should have been in therapy. When that didn't help Hope, Liam should have decided they should go away for a while. Take a month's vacation. They return, things still aren't resolved, Hope needs some space, and Liam moves in with Wyatt. Steffy returns from Europe with the girls and a new boyfriend. Hope starts in with the Liam needs to be with Steffy and the girls crap. Steffy asks why Hope thinks that now when she didn't feel that way when Steffy was married to Liam and pregnant with his child. Then she tells Hope, she's moved on, and Hope isn't going to get to blame Steffy if Hope and Liam split up again. When the baby switch is revealed, Steffy's new boyfriend is there for her, and Brad Bell and the writers give the triangle from hell a rest. They will probably never end it completely, but they should leave it alone for at least a few years. Zoe, Flo and Xander have one conversation. That's it. No need to have those morons on every day for weeks on end saying the same damn thing over and over again. I know soaps don't have the budgets they used to, but there is no excuse for the lazy repetitive boring writing. OLTL did a baby switch SL with Tina/Cord and Max/Gabrielle. It was good, and you would think Tina and Gabrielle learned their lesson. They didn't. A few years later Gabrielle switched Brenda's live baby with Michael's dead baby, Tina knew about it, and told Gabrielle to tell the truth or she would, but Gabrielle distracted Tina with a secret treasure (two of Tina's weaknesses - money and adventure). They ended up sharing a jail cell. That SL was also good. So it is possible to do similar SLs with the same characters, but the writing and execution has to be there. 7 Link to comment
