You know what would be super fun? If Janelle actually does have a huge 150+ acre farm and she builds a house on it, and let's other OG13 kids and Christine build their own places and/or she has a huge mofo house and all the OG kids and their families visit there often and maybe even live there. That? Was Douchebro's dream, and I would fucking LOVE if thst dream materialized for Janelle, Christine, and the OG13! 🤣

She can start by just parking the RV and letting visiting family members stay there. She can build her casita and maybe have a few tiny houses for guests on the property too.

I am beyond excited to finally share our passion project with you—TAEDA FARMS! ❤️🌸

We’d love to invite you to come along on this wild, messy, and beautiful journey as we build Taeda Farms from the ground up. 🌱 It’s definitely not always glamorous—there’s plenty of sweat, dirt, and learning along the way—but every single step is getting us closer to something truly special. We’re turning hard work and heart into something beautiful, and we want you to be a part of it all!

Follow us on social media @taedafarms, and join us as we grow—one bloom at a time. If you’d like to support us as we get started, we have some t-shirts with our brand motto, “building beauty from the ground up.” We poured a lot of thought into them, and they represent everything this journey means to us. ❤️

Let’s grow together!

I am having a bit of a laugh when people on reddit are saying "it can't be a farm if it only grows flowers..."

I appreciate they have a business that is not a mlm, hopefully it is successful.  Their commitment to things in the past hasn’t been the greatest, but hopefully this time they have done their research and realize a small business is a ton of work!  I really hope this works out for both of them.

Does anyone remember Maddie's constant whining about even the smallest chore that needed to be done? How in-cre-di-bly HARD and tiring it was to be a housewife and mother of 2?

Somehow I just cannot envision seeing her doing actual farm work... That would put the words "hard work" into a completely new perspective.

This!

I’m sorry but nothing about Janelle, Maddie and Caleb screams HARD WORK to me!

Remember Janelle also wanted to open a gym in Vegas, then she wanted to put Green houses on coyote pass where they had limited access to WATER! I have friends that have a large Green house operation where they grow plants for nurseries, they go through a LOT of water, they have everything set up on timers with fans and all kinds of machinery that makes sure the humidity is at its optimum level at all times along with a bunch of other things that are closely monitored to make sure everything produces a perfect environment for growing before the plants are big enough and transferred to outdoor beds, 3 of the family members have advanced education in horticulture, plus they have somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 employees to nurture, weed, trim, fertilize and everything else.

I just don’t see the 3 of them handling the amount of work needed for a flower farm if they plan on selling to nurseries , florists etc.

Sounds like Tony and Mykelti are also moving to NC are they going to be part of the work force?

So far any raised beds or gardens that Janelle has tended and posted pictures of were a mess!

Maddie and Caleb aren’t much better, their garden and chicken coop are very amateur.

I’ll be shocked if this latest dream is a success.  😂

Allegedly Tony has landed a job as a chess instructor, but they live a couple of hours away from Maddie and Caleb.

How's that going to provide for a family of five? Such jobs typically only allow for a few hours of work in the evenings or possibly late afternoons as most people have regular jobs or school during the day.

That family keeps on surprising me with their ability to find non-standard jobs/ or jobs that do not seem the type of jobs that could help provide for a family...

Don't quote me, but on another site, I read that this farm is not going to be for selling flowers to florists, but rather a wedding/event site and you-pick flowers.

I had not heard of you-pick flower farms before, but a google search pulled up this list of them near Chicago... so apparently they are a thing

I downsized years ago from a half acre garden and chasing 50 chickens with two young kids and pets to a quarter acre garden with no more chickens, kids are grown and just two cats now. My garden is veggies for the house, lots of flowers and herbs and it keeps me busy 10 out of 12 months in the year. It is a LOT of work, but I love my garden and it is an important part of my mental health.

I grew up and still live in an agricultural area and know what it takes to make it work. Sure, I love the photos and videos from Floret flower(Instagram and youtube) and she is a great inspiration but I also know she has a huge team of people behind the camera working hard for long hours.

There are two ways to make a farm. Both take hard work, but one is having a whole lot of money to set up infrastructure to save years of hard work.

Seriously? That's a real thing? I know no one who would pay for something like that.

My grandson goes to "chess club" once a week and the instructor is paid.  Since it's a group and not individual, the rate isn't bad.  But yes, it's a thing.  The teacher does take private and semi-private students.  They get the kids hooked with the beginning and intermediate groups at school.

Retired floral designer here. Some wholesaler growers would have occasions  they sold to public.  When my son got married in 2010 I asked my daughter-in-law where she was having flowers done she said I don’t know the flower grower I guess.  Yeah my two best friends and I made them.    It’s going to take a whole family of Browns to make this happen.  Like most people over the years that go into to a flower shop and say oh this must be so much fun to work here, yeah no it’s hard work. Can’t tell you how many husbands bought their wife’s a shop because it’s appealing. They didn’t know one flower from another. They’re probably going to need green house etc.  Wait for  the first bride that wants a flower in a color that nature doesn’t create. Wish them luck

It’s a real job and can potentially pay pretty well. There are plenty of employment opportunities that aren’t 9a-5p.

Our rural area had one U Pick flower farm but it did not last long.  It was a huge amount of work over several years but most people didn't want to drive way out there unless it was for a big party or special occasion where they thought it would be cheaper (it wasn't) so they closed up shop.

We have a sunflower farm near us. They do pretty well, pick your own, and prepared in advance. They have hayrides, and photographers go there to do photo sessions. You can take as many pictures as you want on your own. I enjoy it. 🌻 This year the season ended early, now they’re getting ready for pumpkins.
