After watching "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown", I finally realized who Meghan reminds me of....Lucy smiling like a mad woman as she plunged that knife into the pumpkin.

Ha! and I was beginning to think she reminded me of Kelly years ago on RHONY.  

 

As to the email Alexis sent, I can believe Andy didn't read the whole thing, but I am not sure it would've come across much better.  

I thought Tamra's reaction was horrid.  And I was really disturbed by her talking about her daughter's estrangement from her. 

 

I can't imagine going on one of these "reality shows"  and knowing my kids and grandkids would probably see it later and be embarrassed by me---especially the later seasons where everyone seems to show us their worst selves.

 

I have trouble watching the reunion shows because I truly cannot stand Andy.  I actually like Tamra better than Andy.

I agree -- I think what Vicki means is by having your own career you would not have to be reliant on a man.  And it's hard for her to understand why someone who can work, chooses not to (like Meghan even though clearly she and the others get a salary from Bravo).

That Celeb Net Worth article is really hard to believe - as noted above, Carole Radziwill roared at the  idea of her worth being $50 million, & totally debunked the estimate as not even close. If Nene Leakes is worth more than $3 million, I'll eat her wig.  And the list captions Teresa Guidice's photo as having net worth of $11 million - only in the text does it state T's actual worth as MINUS $11million.  2013 divorce court records showed Vicki's worth as being less than half of the listed $7 million, even if we include the true market value of her home. Looks like a crock to me.

 

And for my money, Baby Veith, while a "tad" amphibian-appearing at birth, looks like her mom, Ryan's Baby Mama - & she grew up to be a physically attractive lady.

The article states Vicki is worth 7 million.

I gotta say, I thought Kandi Buruss would occupy the top spot, but it's Vanderpump who is the richest housewife according to MSN.

The other thing is that the amounts have always remained consistent over the years, while I am sure they have grown or decreased for some. I actually think she is probably the richest HW.

I heard an ad on the radio yesterday for a laser treatment for sagging necks and thought of Vicki.

 

Yeah, Kitten59.  That was almost a comedy bit.   I've never understood (or been able to play-act) that every baby is beautiful.  Often they're just not.  My first baby was a funny-looking little guy for at least a year--nothing cute about him. It was obvious to me.  Strangers and friends...when first seeing him would say things like, "OH! What blue eyes," or "I bet he's a good baby."  I was almost insulted by those people saying he was a beautiful baby.  He grew into a very cute/handsome kid...and has now settled into an average-looking middle-aged man.  

 

When my nephew was born he was not cute.  At all.  He looked like a little troll.  My mom wouldn't let me say anything to my sister and made me pretend that he was cute.  He's grown into a really cute kid, so it worked out, I guess.  I said something to my sister about a year ago about how he was not cute when he was born and mom made me blow smoke up her ass and she started laughing so hard and was like "He was a troll!  Did she think I didn't know!?"

 

I see your point about the relative worth of goods when you have a high income; but still, one can get poor pretty fast buying $20K necklaces at the drop of the hat, $30K bags.  We've all heard the stories about the rich who lived far too lavishly and now can't pay their bills.  Hell, the RHO franchises has tons of those stories.  So, if I were the sole breadwinner, of course, I'd want my signficant other to enjoy a treat.  But when you want to drop what could be a downpayment on house for a purse, I'd think a consultation with the spouse might be in order.  

 

I don't think that view is archaic.  To me, it has to do with mutual respect that you aren't running up bills on extravagant items.  However, I agree that Vicki's attitude in general about SAHMs is obnoxious.  And she shouldn't hold herself up to that standard when she's got a moocher living off her!

 

I don't think $30k is a down payment for any house Heather is going to live in.  It's all relative.  I kind of freaked out about my car costing as much as a house, but I realized that I'm never going to live in a $65k house, so it really isn't like a house to me.

For me, and this is just my opinion, what Vicki brings is the comedy.

 

 

I don't recall ever finding Vicki funny.  It was always embarrassing seeing her in different countries acting like an entitled bitch.  The "Whoo-Hoo" that everyone seems to like is old, grating, and needs to be muffled!  Yeah...no redeeming qualities as far as I'm concerned.   One of us has to leave.

Whether they are married or not if David is seriously bankrupt Shannon would have to get a job or David find a new one.  Shannon's degree is in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance.  My guess is she would return to the workplace and downsize her lifestyle ala Tammy Knickerbocker.

 

Working as a mom isn't for everyone.  All these women work by virtue of doing the show.  Heather now has another job.  It is just that Tamra and Vicki's salary is the primary support of their households.

IIRC, Shannon is worth many, many millions of dollars. Her grandparent started a dept store and Shannon inherited a fortune. I think the bulk of their money, and the funds to build her house,came from her. David's money is just gravy.

They absolutely pick their own clothes. The rumor they didn't started with Joyce, but I never believed it. They would be screaming like crazy women if Bravo picked their clothes. The reunion has in large part become about what they wear and how they look. They can get away with saying all kinds of crazy shit if they look good doing it. It's like the Oscars for these women. On the NY show, both Lu and Sonja wore garments from their "collection". For the most part, they pick the same type of frocks they wear all the time. Tamra will always wear something way too short, and Vicki will always want to have her sad old breasts displayed - just like they do on the show. I didn't like what Heather wore for the most part because I hate the cut-out dresses, but it is in line with the fact that she is generally smart enough to show off the part of her body that looks the best - her arms and shoulders. Just like she usually does on the show.

I have to actually defend Vicki a wee bit on this one. I saw the episode and all the comments afterward back on TWoP about Vicki trying to order a "California Cab" in Italy. What she actually did was tell the waiter that she wanted a red wine and that she liked California wines like "Cabs" so did he have a wine similar to a Cab? Not totally stupid, but of course, being Vicki, she was babbling and not at all attempting to communicate clearly to the Italian waiter, didn't even bother to say "Cabernet" fully. So yeah, it was dumb because she acted as if he should just understand her rambling, but not quite as dumb as thinking they had bottles of some California Cabernets in their cellar.

Pure spec on my part, but maybe she was wearing something that didn't look good on camera (i.e. a color or print that would show up weird onscreen) and production made her wear something else.

Not a fan of any of the reunion dresses this year, I wish they had a theme like RHOA did.

Motorcitymom - Haha! Love the descriptions of what they wear all the time! I was also disappointed in Heather's dress this year. Like you I'm not a fan of cut-out dresses but at least Heather still kept it classy by not having the cut-outs in an inappropriate place, unlike Tamara who looked like a hooker with her tummy cut-outs. I always look forward to seeing what Heather's wearing on the show. I don't care much for her personality but I love the fact that she knows how to dress. She has an enviable figure and knows how to show it off in a tasteful, age appropriate manner. She is proof you can be over age 40 or 50 and still dress stylish (no mumu's or polyester pantsuits) and dress to show off a great figure and not look like trailer trash on the way home from the local bar (looking at you Vicki and Tamra)

I read the article in the link Scrambled Fog provided above.  For some reason I love this silly sentence of Shannon's: “It discredits our authenticity.”    From now on I'm going to try to live my life without discrediting my authenticity. Ever!

I watched the 22 minute video with David and Shannon.  It was very disconnected as they were doing shout outs to the people of Facebook and trying to answer questions.  David is not a Vicki fan-apparently last year she told Terry and Heather, David hit on her. Hmmm. . .I see a pattern with Vicki and Briana.  He vehemently denies it.  They seemed very cozy-Shannon and David kept answering sports questions.  All is well between the Edmonds, Beadors, Judges and Dubrows.   

 

Shannon said Vicki lied about not taking something apparently she had to leave for a bit.  Shannon was adamant she never confronted Brooks or told him he was lying.  She said she got roped into a story by Vicki.  Shannon must have said 15 times Parts 2 & 3 of the Reunion are epic.  David doesn't seem to hold anything against Brooks.  Shannon commented that Brooks was sure making the rounds with interviews.  Someone asked David if he still speaks to his "ex", Shannon rather calmly replied-the affair, David said absolutely not and Shannon said it had been 18 months ago. The cuddle and do a little PDA.  Someone asked if their kids watch and they said their kids aren't interested.  Shannon said if she was a kid she would be watching and rewinding.

 

Forgiveness did not seem to be off the table between Shannon and Vicki per Shannon.  Shannon was quick to answer she would come back next year.  David said he had some concerns about being lied to throughout the season.  He also mentioned nothing happens until January and then they will decide what to do.
