Will has a complicated relationship with his mother.  Even though, he may blast Sami, but, he will defend her.

I know but i am fed up with that insulting lexical..and it is always about women's sexuality, even if the situation has nothing to do with it..moreover Will is too old now to keep insulting his mother because he is mad at her..it is so juvenile writing and misogynist..i am fed up with this bs.

This has nothing to do with Will and Sami.  Will does not know he's Will.

Then it is even worse..insulting a stranger..calling a stranger a whore..just because you are mad at her..and of course it is a woman who is abused with this type of insult..This is a stranger, he doesn't know anything about her sexuality but he attacks her with that..despicable writing and totally misogynist..

I understand your anger. I didn't like it either. It was unnecessary.

I can't believe Days is actually going to doing an informal-entertainment on a topical issue: Black Lives Matter.

I said well over a year ago here Days should do one but not with Dena still writing the show because she's hack and would had gotten to messy.  I'm going to trust RC that he will bring the issue to light while giving us some powerful scenes and performances.

This better everything considering the show films 5.5 months ahead of schedule.  So I expect this to be FIRE ? ? ?.  Don't f*ck it up!

I think that Nicholas did the same thing with Emily on General Hospital, it was to bring her back to life. Sometimes, it can be embarrassing to be a soap fan..lol

So you heard 'stories' about someone and your first reaction is to insult the person about her sexuality..well not in my book.

Well i believe you..but me, personally i am not interested with this type of writing..and here i talk about the dialogue (insult, type of insult ect..), it is time to stop the paternalistic, sexist dialogue, it is not fun or entertaining imo. Even daytime soaps should evolve and live with their time.

Excuse me, "Detective Hernandez", but you're out of your jurisdiction.

All of the major stories going on today and we have to watch Doug and Julie being annoying?

Heh.  Galen seems to be unconsciously using a Southern accent while talking to "Susan".

"What the hell is wrong with you?"  Throwback to the same thing Will said the first time Sonny kissed him.

I wonder who "EJ" thinks "Will" is.  If Susan has been telling him stories about all of the nasty whorish things Sami did to him, did he never hear any stories about Sami's son, Will?

Susan, turn off Steel Magnolias, sugar. That scene where Miss Clairee fills in Jack Junior about the nasty, mean, horrible, evil witch Ouiser isn't going to go in your favour with Will, either.

I have this reaction whenever Julie pops up onscreen, no matter what else is going on.

I like RC a lot more than most, but there is almost no way that he will do justice to this.

I actually planned on fast forwarding the Theo story because I know that it is going to be bad, but I got sucked in today. When Lani called Abe I thought the actress was really good. She wasn't great in some of the scenes, but she knocked some of them out of the park imo. Ditto the actor playing JJ.

I tried watching the Claire/Tripp scenes today since some of you have said they're good together. I still have a hard time not being shallow when it comes to them, but they are pretty cute.

I really hate that Will thinks he's EJ. Does he think Sami and him were married? That takes it to such a gross and uncomfortable level that is almost unwatchable imo. But, that's so Ron, so I assume he does think that. I really hope not though.

CS (I think that's the actor playing Paul) has done a really nice job the past two days.

Not quite.  He's investigating something -- a possible kidnapping -- that happened in Salem but likely carried over to Memphis, so he still has a right to interview Susan.

Yeah, I'm really hoping Will thinks only that his *name* is EJ, and that Susan hasn't filled his head with the history of the character; anything else is too disturbing to think about. (If Susan ever refers to him or addresses him as "Elvis Jr., Junior," I reserve the right to kick Carlivati in the shins.)

I have to agree with you, Apprentice79, that Kristen is pretending to be Susan.  Rolf would never have fallen head over heels for Susan - he knew all about her from the past.  And he would never have killed himself over fear of Susan.  Of course, I could be wrong.  ?

I know back during the initial Susan-Kristen plot, Susan impersonated Kristen for most of it, but didn't Kristen at some point also impersonate Susan, or am I misremembering? That whole storyline was so wonderfully convulted that I can't recall exactly how it all played out, plus that was when I very first started watching this show, so I couldn't yet keep everything straight.

Anyway, I enjoyed today's show. I agree with whoever said that Sonny's initial reaction to seeing Will rang kind of false, but I still think all the right beats were hit. Gotta say, I'm really into this storyline.

I hope this shooting/BLM storyline is well done. JJ is my favorite character, so selfishly I don't want anything to happen to him, but I also don't want him to start acting like he didn't do anything wrong. I'm glad at least so far he seems racked with guilt. I think it'd be interesting to have him admit fault without blaming the victim.

Yes, Kristen did impersonate Susan for a bit. The Banks siblings were JER at his best. I wished Penelope had survived. There was something so sad and endearing about her.

Dr. Rolf worked his magic and made up some miracle dentures. Lol, that was actually how everyone discovered "Kristen" was Susan...Laura was trying to confront "Kristen" about something, and just as she was about to marry John at the Elvis wedding, Laura came through, grabbed "Kristen" and started grappling with her, and Susan's fake perfect teeth went flying into someone's champagne glass, exposing her.  I didn't actually see this happen, as I started watching the show maybe one or two episodes later!

I could see 'Will' being exasperated at the strangers thinking that he is someone else! First a strange man kisses him and then his mother shows up. His reactions were on par. He was out of line calling Sami a 'whore'. Like, really, show? In this day and age? Is there a Kiriakis School of Women online class that a lot of Salem men take? Him being 'EJ' is just weird.

Sami, turn down the hysterics just a notch.

Rafe, how did you find the bar when Paul didn't give you a name. Are there lots of bars near there?

Julie, some people just like spending time together. Abe and Valerie are none of your business.

Felt sorry for JJ - can only imagine what sort of consequences he will face for his actions. Throwing up in the planter was not that cool, but felt real. He knows he did something wrong and now has to deal with it.

Don't know if 'Susan' was kinda slipping in to being 'Kristen' in the last scene.

I never watched back then, but I know ED from Y and R.  This Susan Banks character to me is quite bizarre.  She is so OTT ridiculous, it is difficult to imagine she was a real character, but from reading everyone's posts, it seem she was.  She seems crafty, but odious.  So why did people like her?  And now she has done the worst, by making Will think he is EJ, which is creepy beyond belief.  It has me tuning in, even though I don't know the back story.

I was only watching sporadically at the time, but Kristen and Susan (and their brother) became an exercise in Watch How Far We Can Take This. Not only did Susan try to impersonate Kristen, Kristen impersonated Susan -- so Davidson was playing four or five different variations -- Kristen, Susan, Kristen-as-Susan, Susan-as-Kristen, and so on. Davidson one a lot of praise for it at the time, but I remember it as being completely over-the-top (so far over that the top was no longer visible) and mostly rather tiresome.

True, you forgot Penelope, Thomas and Sister Moira. So, Eileen was playing 5 characters at the same time..

I never understood why Susan never fixed her teeth, after all was said and done. She came back to the show with her horrible teeth.  It made no sense. The show just loved to keep her a campy character, it worked in the 90's, but, not in 2010's...

Susan at the time was a very interesting character for Days.  She was definitely quirky but had a real sweet side and slowly revealed over time that she wasn't as backwoods as people thought she was.  As bizarre as Susan was you believed her craftiness in the fact that her main job was to impersonate Kristen during her doctor's appointments and when she delivered so there was a certain level of skill that Susan needed to have to pull off Kristen's sophistication.  We saw all of that unfold during her original run.  We also saw Susan slowly fall in love with the idea of a different life and how impersonating Kristen she saw a way to have everything; specifically EJ and John.

Personally I don't necessarily like this turn that they are taking with Susan.  Outside of her seduction to wanting to be Kristen and falling in love with John and scheming.  Susan was a relatively good character and very well liked.  I can see her having some sort of breakdown over EJ's death but I can't completely buy the "son for a son" plot.  Susan was never evil or maniacal.

I would of much rather had this plot play out with Kristen being the one behind it. It would make much more sense that way.  Then if they roped in Susan somehow, great, but Susan being the driving force behind all this is a little too much.

In terms of the "quirkiness" of the character, I do think it is for nostalgias sake.  Even though in real life Susan would of progressed a lot more than who she was in the 90's.  She can still be quirky, but Susan's teeth should of been fixed and I feel she should be a lot more polished than she is.  For the last twenty years she has lived in England, been married to Edmund, I'm guessing lives a pretty comfortable life generously by EJ. My only complaint about seeing the character is that I wish she was a little more "polished" without having to lose her personality.

With all that said Eileen Davidson has a very special place in my soap history for that run in the 90's for not only her portrayal of Kristen, a character we saw genuinely and convincingly go from good to bad as they were losing their mind and identity.  Buy also for her run in playing not only Susan but all the Banks siblings.  It was a real joy to watch her onscreen, a lot of the time acting against herself as she would play all the different siblings, sometime even in the same scene. Because the characters were so campy I don't think Eileen always gets the credit she deserves but she has always been interesting to watch.

j.j. didn't know the person was black when he shot him. what i don't get is shouldn't he have tried a stun gun or was it too far away? there has got to be a better way to take down someone who is not hurting another person. sad, no matter what.

I just don't buy the motivation behind Susan's action. I have always hated the character but it makes no sense to me that she would blame Sami for EJ's death when the clear villains for her has always been Stefano and Kristen. Susan would have known that Sami and the children were the people he loved most in the world and he would despise his mother for hurting Sami an d using Will this way.

Will is the grandson of her favorite friend Marlena and Susan knows what it feels to lose a son. Sami is EJ's widow and is raising his children, Susan's grandchildren. It would be more  logical for Susan to go after the little children than Will who is norhing like EJ.

I haven't been reading spoilers, or articles about the show, so I don't know how they are covering the shooting.  It seems, to me though, it's more of a "cop shooting" than a BLM situation.  They already had JJ point his gun at Ben, so this is the 2nd time he's acted recklessly with his weapon.  And although Theo was unarmed, he was committing a crime and ran from police, so different from an unarmed black teen simply walking down the street, or a black dad in a car with his family.  Also, it was so dark, I don't think JJ would have be able to tell Theo was black, and if he could he probably would have actually recognized him. And then there's Theo's autism which again mixes up the situation, not to mention of course the Dimera connection.  So much more complicated than the stories you see on the news.  But still an important story to tell. Hopefully they'll do it well.

I'm already aggravated by this whole stupid "JJ shoots Theo" storyline--no cop is going to shout "Drop whatever it is in your hands!"  They'll go with the standard "Show me your hands" or "Drop your weapon."  And how about the idea that Theo never would have been shot if he hadn't been caught trying to break into the warehouse in the first place and then ran for it instead of getting arrested?

Will's being brought back from the dead is already insane but now Susan's trying to convince Sami that Will's actually EJ--I don't get how Susan thinks she can pull this off because the DNA test is going to come back as Will's.  But maybe Susan doesn't care about facts because she's so desperate to hurt Sami?

I liked Kayla sending Tripp after Claire because she knows Claire needs the emotional support--nice :)

I'm glad Sami punched Susan.  I know the writers have changed Susan's personality, but I am so tired of people judging Sami because she has twins with different fathers.  The reason Sami has twins with different fathers is because EJ raped Sami.  I wish Sami had actually killed EJ and gotten away with it.

I thought everyone did a good acting job today. Except, perhaps, Claire.  Her panic attack / fainting seemed off.

So far I don't hate this "JJ shoots Theo" story like I thought I would.

Something I do hate though is Will thinking he's EJ. Ugh. I hope this doesn't last very long.

Maybe Claire didn't have any cake for Lani's birthday - maybe she was hungry or dehydrated.

So EJ has a gunshot wound? Present it. Surely someone has a phone or iPad and can look up the Will Horton murder to show 'EJ' that he looks exactly like the dearly departed Will Horton. Did enjoy Sami punching Susan, though. Easy for someone to also produce Arianna's birth certificate - especially if Will Horton is listed as the father. Susan's game and plan is going to eventually fall apart. Will, of course, may have been a blank slate once resurrected from the 'dead'. Easy to mold him in to EJ or really, anyone else.

Guess the Salem PD is so small that JJ would only talk to the Commissioner. He would ideally also be talking to Internal Affairs or who investigates any time a police officer discharges his or her weapon.

Abe knew that Theo was wearing a hoodie? Kate needs to come forward and explain that Theo was sent to that warehouse because of her.
