Let's describe what Ryan Boyajian did now that more was mentioned on the show (more will come out according to the season previews).

Ryan Boyajian, who along with fiancée Jennifer Pedranti appears on The Real Housewives of Orange County, is reportedly caught up in the $17 million gambling and theft scandal surrounding the former interpreter of Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani.

ESPN, citing multiple sources, reported that Boyajian is the bookmaker’s associate to whom interpreter Ippei Mizuhara wired money to pay his gambling debts.

Mizuhara today agreed to plead guilty to two federal charges related to the theft of nearly $17 million from the Dodger slugger’s bank account. Prosecutors say Mizuhara used that money to pay off illegal gambling debts.

Per ESPN, Mizuhara’s illegal bookmaker told the interpreter he could pay his gambling debts by wiring money to “Associate 1.” That, according to ESPN, is Boyajian.

A statement from the office of United States Attorney Martin Estrada contends “Mizuhara regularly logged into Ohtani’s bank account and initiated wire transfers from the account to the bookmaker and his associates as payments for gambling debts. For example, on June 20, 2023, Mizuhara accessed the account without Ohtani’s permission and transferred $500,000 to one of the bookmaker’s associates.”

Boyajian’s lawyer told ESPN, “Because there is an active investigation and Ryan is working with the authorities, he can’t confirm or deny what is going on.

Boyajian and the alleged illegal bookmaker in question, Mathew Bowyer, reportedly laundered Mizuhara’s payments through “marker” accounts at casinos. After depositing the payments, Boyajian and Bowyer “then withdrew the chips from the marker accounts, gambled with them and if they won, cashed out.”

Multiple sources told the outlet that Boyajian received immunity in return for his testimony.

Tamra and Eddie were friends with Jenn and her ex husband. They had a problem when she left her husband for Ryan. So, they are not really friends with Jenn anymore. 

Ryan and Jenn decided to return to the show when his friend and him were investigated by the FBI. Ryan claimed his friend was involved. Both were involved in the betting scandal (they were laundering stolen funds). He got immunity in order to testify against his friend.

The best part of the episode to me was the very end when Jen was incredulous over the audacity of Alexis throwing her out of her home. Her voice went up octaves, “I’ve never been thrown out of anywhere!” Then suddenly dropped into a lower register, “Oh, yeah, I’ve been evicted.” The delivery was perfection.

No. The money was spent, I assume on their lifestyle. But we will see, because they all have to be accountable for it (the stolen funds) in some way. The interpreter who actually stole it has a deal with the Feds, and will serve up to 33 years in prison.

Emily looks great but she's not a size 6. I understand the pressure but she's never going to be happy & at peace if she's constantly comparing herself to others. 

No idea what the actual truth is about Ryan but he wasn't the one indicted and in the government's eyes, he's a cooperating witness. He was also pretty forthright with Emily's questions. Sometimes people have friends who do shady shit. It's not like he's been trying to drag Tamra or Eddie to Vegas with him so Tamrat can lose me with the pearl clutching. Funny how Eddie was more than happy to hug everyone after she left  

Shannon at 60 does look great. Loved the photo Emily had framed for her.

It's terrible when trolls on social media attack people like Emily about their appearance. They are insecure people (that most of the times don't look that great themselves) with a lot of time in their hands. Emily lost a lot of weight, but I guess that was not enough. There is no wonder that even Heather is slimmer now.

The truth about Ryan is what is mentioned on the post above. It was published on the LA Times, etc., as well. What Ryan claimed on the show was before some of this information became public, and I'm sure he was prepared to say something. He is one of two people (he was named specifically) who laundered the stolen money, it was not only his best friend. He received immunity because he was the first to cooperate with the Feds, something that is common. Jenn didn't even know how he was earning his money- she mentioned it on the show. His social media was all about flying private to Vegas, and the Bahamas to gamble, and play golf.

The story broke out just after filming ended (about a couple of weeks after), but it was addressed after filming resumed in early May.

I haven’t posted on a Real Housewives show in ages, but had to on this one. The scene at the end with Alexis, Katie and Jenn was pure gold and had me crying laughing.

Because as @snarts said, this wasn’t about the trip. Alexis came on this season thirsty as fuck to grab that Orange right out of Shannon’s hands. She had that “here’s the door, Shannon Bador” line thought out weeks in advance. She did everything she could. But in the end, the producers chose Shannon.

That text wasn’t Shannon “not” inviting her. That text was Shannon saying “I got the Orange, bitch, enjoy your Friend of Status”. And when Jenn and Katie tried to keep up appearances with “oh, we’ll just hang out with you without Shannon”? HAHAHAHA! Of course she kicked them out. She knew she was done, they were no longer of any use, bye!

And let me be clear, I can’t stand Shannon, and think she’s a drunken hot mess. But in the battle between her and Alexis I’m team Shannon all day long. I didn’t like Alexis her first go round and don’t think she’s improved with age.

I just loved the curtain being pulled back. Because we all know, it was all about that Orange!

But does Emily seriously think she's a fucking size 6? What is wrong with her? I could not believe my ears. I am not a size 6 and way smaller than Emily, the camera adds 10 pounds be damned. Tamra being Team Johnny J is so gross. As was he and Alexis smugly sitting there talking about how he didn’t want to sue her during the show but he had to because the statute of limitations was about to run out (ignoring that he didn’t want to accept the $75k if it meant he wasn’t allowed to talk shit).

It was great when Emily responded at first to Heather’s demand to talk with a “nah I’m good.” 

Seeing the housewives in London should be fun. Hearing them speak in their idea of a British accent should not.

Loved Eddie hugging Ryan at the end of Katie's party. That should make Tamra's head explode when she sees the scene.

Shannon's tea party was beautiful. What a great way to celebrate her 60th (and as a precursor to London of course!)  I was annoyed that the howives thought she should soften her text to Alexis. I realize that they have been put in the middle, but they can thank Bravo for bringing Alexis back to the show. I can't imagine that any of them would act any differently if they were in Shannon's shoes.

It was a perfect episode until Alexis got camera time. The whole scene was obviously producer driven, for Alexis's phone to just happen to be upstairs and Shannon's text to just happen to be sent at that time. Sheesh. Alexis throwing Jenn and Katie out though was pretty funny.

I have no faith that Bravo will not bring Alexis back as either a friend of, or even a FT cast member. Along with her handler John. Is it too much to ask for one season where Shannon is not the target? Lets move on, to say, Tamra?

I like Jenn, is she perfect,  no, but I still like her. I've come to like Gina a little  more than I did, , she's very protective  of Emily. I think Emily looks great, I did when she was 40 pounds heavier. Now I need for Emily to love Emily, and to stop reading  the horrible  remarks  online. Validation  from Heather  means nothing,  if you don't acknowledge  it yourself. I loved the photo of Shannon,  that was sweet of Emily. I really liked Heathers dress at the tea party, she looked very nice. I don't  care about Alexis or Johnny, and of course,   in the previews next week, the T beyotch  has to bring something  else up against Shannon. I'm looking  forward  to London, and all the accents. Alexis has gone on and on about how horrible Shannon was and how she is destroying "her man" but then, after threatening to release home videos that will "ruin her life," legal action, AND leaking the story to the press, she thinks sending some flowers will make them friends? And why does Alexis want to be friends with her, given how horrible she thinks Shannon is? 

Alexis did everything Jim told her to do, and I don't doubt she is doing everything John wants her to do. However, I don't know why John wants Alexis and Shannon to be friends all of a sudden right after suing her-- that relationship (Alexis and John's) is messed up. More messed up than John and Shannon's. Maybe Alexis thought dating John would give her a storyline and, with Tamra and Heather as allies, get her back full-time? Tamra really tried, at least at first, to get everyone to turn on Shannon. When she took it too far, and made people feel bad for Shannon, she decided to turn her vitriol to Ryan instead. Which didn't work out too well for her.

I always like Emily and Gina’s friendship, they’re fun together.  The kids rooms look great. 

Emily is right-you can’t win with people, especially on social media. If it weren’t her weight, they’d (we’d) pick on her hair or her eyes or her clothes. You will never be perfect for the peanut gallery. So, Stop trying! Do what makes you happy and stop looking for validation from people who don’t matter.  I know, easier said than done, but it’s getting boring now. Live out-loud and love yourself Right in their Face!  I’d l love to be a size 12 and have that flat tummy.

She included Alexis in the curvy and volumptuous category. Maybe that's Heather's way of saying, "You both have gigantic boobs and this dress covers them up and makes you look presentable for my classy fashion show."

Let's face it-- both Alexis and Emily like to show off their big boobs and their bodies as much as they can. They like to have the boobs and the but and the hair and all the things.

Heather dresses solely to emphasis how rail thin she is. She has no boobs, no but, no hips no curves. And she seems quite pleased with that. She and Bethany are like the same person in that way. Very proud of being super skinny.

I thought she said they were good parents but she's sorry they didn't explore or encourage her to explore her Korean heritage. That said, she could have done a bit of exploring on her own once she was a teenager, or whatever, though the state/city she grew up in might have limited that.

Emily (and I, truth be told) are Mesomorphs in a world of Ectomorphs. In school we learned people are Ectomorphs, Mesomorphs or Endomorphs. Or as we characterized to help remember the types - birds, horses or muffins. Or in dog terms, if you're a golden retriever, no matter how much weight you lose you'll never be a pomeranian. I wish Emily would quit trying to be like Heather and the others.  Truth be told most men would prefer Emily's body to Heather's.  Emily has a great body with the proper curves of a female.  Heather has starved herself to be so thin it is not that attractive.  Weight and dress size is not always the way to grade a person either.  Muscle weighs more than fat.  I wish these women would stop judging themselves by the scale.  Also with vanity sizing the number on the dress does not make sense.  A tall person and a short tiny person can not wear the same size.  But they can both have bodies that look great. I wish people would quit being caught up with numbers on the scale or the size tag.

It is refreshing when the actual "battles" are so clear because on franchises like BH the real issues are so hidden that the women fight endlessly over fake stuff because they generally can't discuss what is driving the fights which is money and show status.

Here it was clear that Alexis lost - and major. If the producers wanted Alexis to be on the London trip, she would have been on the London trip and it might have been structured so another woman "hosted". The hosting is all fake anyway. The producers thought the best storyline was to allow Shannon to "host" and thus have a credible reason for Alexis to be dropped to maximize drama. There have been plenty of trips where feuding housewives were forced to be together because showing up for certain stuff is mandatory for the cast. 

The issue with sizing is real. There are stylists and wardrobe people on shows who removed size tags or sew in fake size tags to assuage the vanity of the women wearing the clothing.

And while sizing is all over the place it is also true that the US has especially rampant vanity sizing. People will talk about Marilyn Monroe being a size 14 but she wasn't a modern size 14 but was probably a size 6 or 8.

Yes, I'm glad Shannon finally got a break. It's about time. So far, it's like the show has wanted to torture Shannon. 

Absolutely. As Heather said, most women have body issues to varying degrees. (There is also more pressure to have curves now.) I get that vanity sizing can be a confidence booster, but it can also be annoying when you're too skinny to shop somewhere. I've experienced when 0s are too big on me. Like most of us, Emily probably has clothing of various sizes in her closet. 

Bingo! People always talk about Marilyn as if she is SO much bigger and curvier than modern actresses. Everyone who's seen her clothes has said most women couldn't fit into them. It's true she wasn't a stick, but to me she looked to be around 4-6, a little bigger when pregnant, and then maybe 0-2 time of her death. She didn't even have the huge bosom everyone talks about.

I love this cast, except for Tamra and Alexis who can just be gone please.  Heather is the right amount of evil for the show, too rich, too thin, and too snobby.  This is all the drama I need.  I love Gina and Emily, I love Jenn and Katie, and I love Shannon, despite her many flaws.  I loved that her black pants were covered with Archie hair in her confessional, she is the underdog I root for

Does Alexis have a personality beyond the who she is in a relationship with?  No, she is not a person, she is someone's girlfriend/wife and that is it.  She is not her own person at all. Tamra is just evil

Something dark is going on in Tamra's life that is making her deeply unhappy and extraordinarily jealous of pretty much everyone. She doesn't talk about her life, she deflects on what is going on in other's lives. Contrary to Heather who ONLY talks about her life-- but how great it is. 

Alexis may be "so in love" but she seems miserable. When she is on camera, she looks like she has just been crying, if about to cry, or actually crying.

I have no idea what size Emily is-- or any of these women, but all of them are very thin and should not worry about a number. If Emily and Alexis BOTH had the same size, I think it wouldn't have mattered if it was a 12, it's that Emily was confronted with how she is larger than the others and that bothered her. There is nothing that Heather can do about that. Heather is extra thin but looks unhealthy-- her face looks gaunt and she drinks a lot, so might be malnourished-- but Emily, Jenn, Katie, Gina, Tamra, and Shannon all look healthy to me even though they are all thin as well.
