Denize Wednesday at 09:01 PM Share Wednesday at 09:01 PM All 5 could have gotten 1/5th from TLC, but since he didn't have a house, Kootie's share should have paid for his kids's needs while the wives paid the mortgage & utilities to run the houses and their personal expenses. 4 2 Link to comment
65mickey Wednesday at 09:29 PM Share Wednesday at 09:29 PM Didn't Janelle address this on the last episode? She said when it came to the division of the money from TLC she, Christine and Meri got their share to run their households but Robyn got hers and Kody's because he was with her at least since the pandemic. 2 1 Link to comment

They’ve been a dual income family for quite some time. 5 2 Link to comment
LilyD Wednesday at 10:07 PM Share Wednesday at 10:07 PM Iirc the criticism wasn’t about Meri’s LV house per se. It was about Meri’s overspending on the house and wanting an extra feature which was only possible if she took an extra addition. (Was it the pantry and wet bar?) I also remember a general feeling of unfairness about the allocated weekly household budget, where Meri received exactly the same as Janelle and Christine who each had so many more mouths to feed. 4 Link to comment

And also that she NEEDS the same size house because she WANTED lots more children and it wasn't as though she didn't try to have more, so she shouldn't be penalized. Or words to that effect. I mostly just remember the Wet Bar of Tears. 3 1 Link to comment
Absolom 23 hours ago Share 23 hours ago 8 hours ago, AZChristian said: I believe it was originally thought (no proof that I know of) that the money was paid into the LLC and then distributed equally five ways - each wife and Kody. We used to opine that it made no sense that Meri would get a full share of the same amount as Christine and Janelle, who had five more kids each. And, of course, Kody had no house payments or anything else to pay for except perms and botox. One more round: Kody said publicly way early on that the TLC money was split six ways. Each of the five original adults got 1/6 and the remaining 1/6 went into a "pot" for special events/emergencies, etc like weddings and college. I'm not sure how well that sixth share held up and it seemed like it was at Kody's discretion so I'm pretty sure it was allocated to Robyn's or his needs or wants quite frequently until by COVID, those two were taking half for the two of them (3 of the 1/6 portions). 5 1 3 Link to comment
Absolom 23 hours ago Share 23 hours ago I could not live in that house K&R just bought. It's the ceilings and not the paint color but all the odd angles. The kitchenette stuck under the stairs was ludicrous to me. There's plenty of room to do it without making an eyesore. They should just rent warehouse space given it's mainly needed to hold their junk collection. 6 3 Link to comment

I can only imagine how dark it will be with the precious "artwork" up all over. You just know every space is going to be covered with giant paintings! 7 Link to comment
ChristmasJones 21 hours ago Share 21 hours ago Any speculation on what it costs to live in the home they bought? In terms of yearly property taxes and utilities? I'll leave upkeep/repairs off the list because it appears they don't do that. 4 Link to comment
Joan of Argh 19 hours ago Share 19 hours ago If the SADCRAB gang ever need money I wouldn’t be surprised to see them publish a Tell All book, with themselves as the victims and the OG3 and kids as monsters who made their life hell. As far as where Truely will stay if she visits… the listing mentions a tree fort. 🙄 5 Link to comment

ginger90 13 hours ago Share 13 hours ago (edited) All of the houses basically had the same square footage. She could not have a smaller house on that property. They each had a “budget”, she went over and paid the difference which wasn’t very much in comparison to the cost of building. Meri’s storylines were always overblown. How long did the catfish go on for? It’s still talked about on the show. Edited 13 hours ago by ginger90 4 5 Link to comment

Oh, wait - that's probably where they're housing Day'un. Or maybe that's where Robyn plans to display all 7,000 of her Dickens Village accessories. It should fit okay in there. Might be a little tight. 7 Link to comment
mythoughtis 10 hours ago Share 10 hours ago (edited) Meri’s space in the Lehi house was often the gathering place. She assumed it would be the same way in Vegas -hence the wet bar. However I think they ended up outside a lot and then Robyn’s house became the gathering place until they stopped letting people inside. What bothered me more was Meri’s insistence that her one child be granted the same budget as all six of Janelle’s or Christine’s. For example, Leon went to a private college in Utah. Logan, Aspen, MyKelti, Gabe, Gwen went to a state school in Nevada. Maddie went to a state school in Utah. Hunter, Paedon, Garrison went to the military etc Edited 10 hours ago by mythoughtis 1 3 Link to comment

Granny58 10 hours ago Share 10 hours ago I freely admit I'm not savvy about financial finagling, and perhaps this has been addressed, but has Coyote Pass been paid off? If so, have the OG3 received their portions? If that's all cleared up, can the proceeds have been used to purchase the new mansion? 2 1 Link to comment

65mickey 8 hours ago Share 8 hours ago He got $420,000 to put up a 20% down payment. Where he got that money from is a mystery. Did he take out a home equity loan on the first Flagstaff property? That is if that home had that much equity. Did he borrow the money and use coyote pass as collateral? If he got a bridge loan why did he take the home off the market? Doesn't a bridge loan have to be paid back in a fairly short period of time? It's hard to know because what we are seeing on the show is 2 years ago. Kody seems to be one of those people who buys an expensive house and when he can't make the payments he somehow picks up and moves to another house. some of the housewives do this also. 2 2 Link to comment

I understand both sides. Meri is in polygamy which favours fertile women, and she can't help her situation. I think it makes it fair if Kody divides fairly amongst the wives, regardless of the number of kids. Wasn't that the reason for the 6th account. To supplement kids' needs? 1 Link to comment
surfgirl 4 hours ago Share 4 hours ago Could Kotex get a loan against the entire CP properties? As in, without Meri or Janelle's consent on their parcels.since he is listed on all the parcels?
