I've watched a lot of his videos.  Very eye opening.  He pretty much said he didn't attend school and was allowed to go outside and play everyday.  Until they were old enough to be working in the bakery.

Kody looks proud of himself in the photo and Meri looks happy. The other three have slightly sick looking expressions.  Perhaps it was snapped when Meri was saying the family all loved & supported each other and they were trying to avoid rolling their eyes on camera.

Watching the video at full screen, Kody, Robyn & Janelle have ragged lips, so Meri & Christine were definitely off the rotation in S8.

The photo shown on the link for the interview is slightly different from the one found on the link for Wikipedia.  The one on Wiki Robyn and Christine look like they smell a bad odor, Meri looks really bored and Janelle is saying something funny under her breath.  
 

They all appear more normal on the video link photo.

Guessing they'll be filming the announcement of the impending twin births, however, the episode will remain in the "can" for at least another year.  They haven't even covered sweet Avalon's birth and that was over a year ago.

 It's so silly that they are so far behind real life on the show! When will we see what they're currently filming, when the twins are 30?

I don't understand why TLC doesn't just do a double season airing and get things caught up.

It's all so silly when we already know what lies ahead due to them selling the important info to People Magazine.

When compared to the Housewives shows that seem to run 3 -6 months behind the event and the complicated production involved in those shows, it show where the Brown family and their viewing public stand in the hierarchy.

Before Counting On was cancelled it mostly aired births and weddings. We joked that eventually they'd be airing a birth story while on SM that kid would be getting married.

At least Sister Wives is providing plenty of rubber necking worthy stories at this point. I wonder if the new spin is going to be Mykelti is the bridge or peace maker between the splintered families?

I was wondering the same thing but then I remembered that the “colada” rings were exchanged amongst the wives and had nothing to do with Kody.

TLC is teasing with a Diamond wedding ring falling off to signify the Kody/Christine split.

I can’t recall what the wives actual wedding rings from Kody look like…. Are they diamond solitaires?

This is Christine. Perhaps someone with younger eyes can tell which one this is in the previous picture.  👵

I’d say the picture of the hands with wedding rings comes from this photoshoot based on Kody’s very purple shirt and Janelle’s pink sweater.

From that, I’d say the hand on the left is Robyn’s (she doesn’t have very pretty and slender hands and Meri obviously still had them at this point in time) Also, Robyn seems to have a square diamond solitaire in the ‘hands picture’ and wears it on her right hand middle finger.

Meri also wears rings around a middle and ring finger but it’s her left hand, like in the other picture. I do miss the second ring here but it wouldn’t surprise me if it was taken off for the “wedding ring”picture, with everyone wearing just one ‘wedding’ ring. As I just mentioned, her hands were by far the prettiest at the time. 
Janelle and Kody’s hands are easy to identify because of the sleeves, which leaves Christine. 

So based on the above, the order is Robyn, Meri, Kody, Janelle and Christine.

With Kody, it’s all about HIS feelings, he doesn’t care how Christine felt for years.    Acting like a victim of his family instead of trying to treat them all equitably is the problem here.

I LOVE that Christine said it one more time as she walked out the door...KODY FAVORS ROBYN!!  Christine said from Season 1, episode 1, before Robyn had even married Kody yet.  I'm so happy for her that she got away from that ego-maniacal, rage filled, nutjob.  And I couldn't help but notice how un-surprised they all were when Kody's screaming.  I bet that's his norm, screaming and ranting and they're all used to it. The last few seasons we're all finally seeing the real Kody.  Full of rage, righteous indignation, and completely unhinged.

I don't think it's anything she hasn't heard a million times before. I think she is pretty bored with it all and I don't blame her. He's not actually going to listen to or care about anything she might say in response. I'd just sit there too, get the footage needed, and move on.

To me she didn't look bored while he was screaming.  She looked more resigned and hurt. She looked more as if she was determined not to lower herself to his level. Of course as, said above, this could have been the 3rd or 4th take and all of it may just be a performance on all their parts. If it was real though, I  don't know how Christine's children can ever speak to him again.

While I fully agree with what you are saying here, I’d have to point out that some 15 years or so before that, the situation was the other way around for Christine… She desperately wanted to marry * into the Brown family and she did this at a time when Janelle was heavily pregnant with Logan… I doubt she ever gave any thought to that at the time. She probably never realised how awful that was to Janelle until it happened to her. 
 

The big difference of course was seeing your husband so desperately in love with wife no 4, knowing he’d much rather be with her than with you.

To be fair to Christine, 1. I don't think Janelle was ever "in love" with Kody in the way Christine was, 2. When they were younger, and Kody had more energy, fewer children, and more patience, he seemed to do a better job of splitting his attention between all of the OG wives, 3. Christine never wanted to "susurp" anyone's place in the family, she did the caregiving, Janelle worked- Janelle respected her contribution and vice versa, Robyn has always only ever looked out for Robyn.

Christine allowed  Kootie to treat her kids like dirt for 15 years. She did the whispery keep sweet crap instead of blustering like he does but one is as bad as the other when put yourself first and allow the other parent to neglect your kids.

The deal breaker for me would have been when he refused to attend Ysabel's surgery, he could have found a way had it been important to him.

Christine's breaking point was when he declared that he would never again be intimate with her.  Priorities.😕

I think that definately came into it. The problems were brewing long before she left. She said she didn't really want him there they needed the space. But the intimacy issues pushed her to make the move

Kootie saying Christine never did anything for anyone else in the family was rich.  She raised, taught & cooked for their first 12 kids while Janelle worked, Meri & Kootie went on road trips, and Robyn canoodled with her husband when she was in labour with Truely.  What good has Robyn ever done for the fambly? She objected when Janelle asked if Savanah could spend the day with AuroraBreanna when Janelle had something else up.

This episode surely does contain some incredibly poor acting.
I almost gut chuckled when Robyn earnestly demands Meri’s pledge of fealty. And Kody’s abysmal, screaming porch performance must have taken 30 takes. Bless Christine, who appears to be chocking back laughter. I’m beginning to wonder if Robyn is deliberately looking so stale in order to avoid being so dislikable. 
This new season is on track, like the last one, to cater to the anger of viewers and bring this scam full circle.

Could he be referring back to something like how disgusted he was watching her eat nachos? And other similar incidents? Trying to say that he was such a higher class person that to stoop to love someone like her was a sacrifice??? That would be a cruel thing for him to refer to, but his statement was unforgivingly cruel whatever he meant by it. It seems like such a petty little thing for him to be referring to but he himself is such a petty little person.
