Yes, it's considered work. Natalie was able to skirt this by only recently allowing ads, which means she probably just got her work permit (or green card). When she was uploading videos last fall they didn't have ads. 

The way that some of these people have been able to get around Cameo stuff is by doing the videos together and officially earning the money under the American's name.

I assume private schools don’t have the same rules.  My kids are in private school and 50% of the class was zooming (google-class-rooming) in from other states, one kid was in the Virgin Islands.  There are some families with summer homes in Florida, Michigan, etc and the kids were there.  This was when lockdown first happened end of last school year, my kids were not remote this last school year.

Yes, as I said in my comment, this is a public school issue. That's why I also said that they could get around it by registering with an independent school. Private schools have far more flexibility.

Yes it is a public school rule.  Private schools take no federal funds so they can do what they want.  As a special ed teacher, I can't work in a private school as they are not required to recognize special education.  Sped is paid from a different pot of money.

As for Tiffany homeschooling Daniel:  HA HA HA HA HA! The chick can't figure out she is pregnant, does not make enough to sponsor Ronald, yeah no.....gathering materials, lining them up with state standards, pacing out lessons, assessing those lessons.....not gonna happen.  And if Daniel DOES miss a lot, he will probably not be retained.  Data has born out that retaining a student, unless they are very young (repeating kindergarten) does no help academically and hurts them socially.

Kalani/Asuelo---I FF'd through their scenes, thanks for the heads up/tip. The whole sex shop visit was cringe worthy and not because I am a prude. I love how she was all about how she is sex positive (another now en vogue phrase I keep hearing), yet uh, you were a virgin until 28 and picked a one night stand with Baby Huey to lose it? Seriously? If you were not holding out until marriage, then why in all that is holy would you pick THAT to not just have sex with, but lose your virginity to ? Brandon/Julia----I dont' blame them for being upset about the party and for calling out the parents. It was rude to walk out though....there were other guests and it would not have killed them to be social and introduce Julia. I get where Betty was coming from, because of Covid, the wedding was quick and small and she wanted to show off her new daughter in law. I think she has genuine affection for Julia and does want her to be part of the family (not like Trish), but she has boundary issues with her son. When Ron was raging about how they are not prepared, I kept thinking, he is right, but who's fault is that?? They never cared to equip their son or make him fly on his one before....

Angela----everyone smoker I know wishes they had never started and says quitting is hell. I wish her luck with the hypnosis helping. The weight is mostly water coming off (and missing breast tissue), but if it motivates her, then ......

That's kind of a harsh statement.  I don't think that Mike should be the barometer for measuring everyone else who ever called their parents mommy/daddy, mama/papa, or whatever other nicknames there are for beloved parents.  I'm adopted.  My parents adopted me when they were both in their 50s.  No one could wish for better parents.  They were my world, especially my father (I was a total daddy's girl).  My dad passed away when I was in my young 20s, and my mom when I was in my 30s, and to the day that each of them died they were always mommy and daddy to me.

I do not wish Natalie any form of a good life.  I hope they ALL have crappy lives, because they're ALL crappy people.  Natalie was not a nice person when the threw the ring at Mike in the Ukraine, or when she was denigrating him after moving to the U.S. pursuant to her K-1 visa approval.  All of the snide, nasty comments she made, she knew darn well she was being verbally abusive about his weight, intellect, food preferences, drinking preferences, and whatnot.  Disregarding that likely what she said is true.  He is overweight and stupid and does probably drink too much, but you don't say things like that to a loved one and expect to continue on with that person as if nothing ever happened.

Mike in turn was a huge POS for his passive-aggressiveness towards Natalie the entire time she was living with him after having gotten her K-1 visa approval.  Also for his bait-and-switch behaviors about being willing to buy her a wedding dress, then skimping out, being willing to set a wedding date, but then backing out, about not keeping the house warm enough for her or catering enough to her pescatarian needs (I refuse to call this POS a vegetarian, which I am and have been for almost 32 years, because that's NOT what she is).

Trash is a POS for having tried to get Mike's neighbor to stop the wedding.  Also for her non-stop relentless surreptitious attacks on Natalie from the time she and Mike arrived in Oklahoma.

I wonder if her motivation in next week's episode to confess to him about having gone to see a divorce lawyer behind his back is actually her sneaky way of trying to trigger him into behaving like his usual Assholo self so that she will be justified in actually following through on that, and not because she feels guilty about doing it.  If she keeps Assholo as the bad guy in the relationship, she will always be justified in her complaints to her sister, mother, father about him.

Agreed that he definitely seems like a hard worker, when he finally does get around to actually working (how many years has it been now?).  Unfortunately, he has zero ability or desire to get along with other people, so he will have to work for Chuck forever, unless his and Libby's adult porn income (OnlyFans) earns them enough that he will be able to work for himself, because his shitty personality will definitely be a detriment to his ever finding employment wherein he will be able to work hard.

I used to like Natalie, but then I saw a side of her that I found rather off putting.  She lost me after she asked Mike’s friend if all American women are whores, like her. When she told Trish being a single mom is hard and that she ought to know, she had a smirk on her face.  I take it her mother is a widow. Just want to say that Brandon and Julia not walking out and talking to his mom later, won't, in my opinion, work.  They already talked to her and she didn't listen.  She won't listen later, either.  In her head, if they stayed at the party, all she'll hear is, "I won!" And feel justified to do what she wants.  I think it comes down to motive.  If I really believed Betty did it from the goodness of her heart, then maybe stay at the party and talk later, but I think her motive was purely self-centered .  Yes, the kids need to grow up, but Mom and Dad didn't raise Brandon to be an adult.

I am sure this has been mentioned before, but what is it with the only child of divorced/widowed/still married women?  Brandon, Colt, Mike, I am sure there are others.  Brandon has sibs from his dad but said he had never lived with them.  I know PLENTY of solo moms (my sister is one) and I assure you, they have a very healthy relationship.

I’ve been getting really heavy Kardashian vibes from Libby and her family now. They are so clearly trying to get a spinoff with some of these storylines. I was laughing so hard at Libby coming out with her black robe and going “Hey Daddy!” to Andrei. I just think that sounded so fake.

Libby’s siblings remind me of the three ugly stepsisters in Cinderella. First of all, they are all UGLY inside and out. Secondly, they are entitled, rude, and spoiled. And Charlie should have been bodily removed from the yacht they were on. Chuck has obviously allowed a very toxic environment where they all vie for his attention and approval, and are just handed jobs. The best thing Libby and Andrei can do is move away from that horrid family!

Psycho Betty is a total narcissist for behaving as she does. The birthday reaction was over the top. Brandon and Julia specifically told his parents they didn’t want anything at the party and she reacted like a classic victim. But Brandon and his father have allowed her to ride roughshod for years and have enabled the problem.

I still cannot stop thinking about how angry Ron got. Dude definitely has rage issues. Way to go in making Brandon feel like he is too stupid/poor/inexperienced to live out on his own! His parents totally erode their son’s confidence and self esteem by telling him he can’t do normal adult life, and all because they want him to stay with them FOREVER! If your 27-year-old is completely unprepared to live on their own, YOU are the problem. YOU were the one who didn’t prepare them.

Watching Kalani and Asuelu discuss sex really made me sick. I would simply pass away if my mom accompanied me on a sex trip. I mean, wouldn’t Kalani and Asuelu have saved money by having her mom watch the kids AT HOME?!

Also, Kalani is SO not into Asuelu. She is over the relationship. She says she’s sex positive, but she really isn’t at all.

She was kind of awful about the trip Asuelu planned. I actually felt bad for him. Why was she shitting all over his destination of choice? Asuelu planned this surprise, so give him credit. It may look like Bible camp, but he tried.

When Trish was like, “I’m the big bad mommy!” and laughed creepily I wanted to punch her in the face.

It really bugged me that Mike’s voice went to such a high octave when he got angry at Natalie. Also, the “we” he used to talk to Natalie was so gross.

1. You tried to talk your son out of marrying her.

2. You tried to have your son’s neighbor object at their wedding.

3. You implied she was getting too old to have kids.

5. You counted on never getting called out on your bullshit because it’s hard for an ESL person to describe the passive-aggressive campaign you’ve been waging.

How can Trish say that she has no idea why Natalie would be upset with her? She’s been so nasty and not understanding with Natalie at all (not that Natalie has made the whole situation easy).

The way Trish kept on suggesting Mike should send Natalie “back to f***ing Ukraine” was really giving xenophobic vibes. I really dislike how some of the people on this show talk about the foreign fiances like they’re objects that you buy or something. Trish said “Send her back to f***ing Ukraine” like Natalie is a thing you can bring back to a store and you can return. The fact that Mike can’t see a problem with his mom’s behavior is disgusting.

I felt the deepest rage when Mike told Natalie to “get your head out of your ass” at the airport.

Finally, WHY IS MIKE NOT STANDING UP FOR NATALIE?!? If you marry somebody, you should defend them! You are a team! Even if you don’t agree with them, you never attack them and side with anybody else. WHAT IS WRONG WITH HIM?!?!?!

I know Natalie is off, but she’s not insidious like Mike and Trish. They’re just bad people.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Betty has more offspring. When she cried about not being worshipped on Mother’s Day weekend, she made a point of saying “you’re my only son.”  Not only child.  I certainly could be wrong about the significance of that.

When Angela was wearing that bank-robbin’ mask, she said it was because she had an abscess on her mouth or something.  Ugh, she seems so dirty to me that I imagine an infection somehow related to all of the medical shenanigans.

Trish did not know how to react to Natalie simply refusing to engage. No matter what Natalie said Trish would find something to bitch about. I know Natalie appeared petulant but I think she realized she was outnumbered and would not get a fair shake from her husband or mother in law and in that moment chose to shut down . 
I am not a Natalie fan and think in many ways she is toxic but she was stuck with Trish for days who may have been laughing at her for days when the cameras weren’t around.

I'm in the Not Watching Camp this season, but I enjoy the comments here and watch some reviews on YouTube. Why can't Sharp round up some new couples, don't they realize we bore easily and have short attention spans?

Perfect, I totally get it - Natalie is probably cast as the scary, bug-eyed perpetrator, the jealous other woman, the mean stepmother or the crazy past-her-prime actress, awaiting her close-up, Mr. de Mille. Does she, can she, actually open her mouth when she's speaking her "acting" lines?

IMO Angela does not giggle, she brays loud and deep from a coarse Marlboro throat. I guess that's considered laughing, but no one else thinks she's witty, just her. Her inappropriate dialogue with her doctors is cringy.

Hotel Snarker - I came here to say essentially what you said in your final paragraph, but didn't want to quite your entire long, but good, post.

Natalie is a whack job and a petulant child and I think part of her problem is understanding and expressing herself in English.  BUT Mike and Trish are just plain mean and that makes them much worse.

Julia said something very telling on the way to the party.  One reason she hoped there wouldn't be a lot of people there is that it was so hard and tiring to interpret and speak English all day.  I never really thought about it, but I can understand how, until you've fully integrated the language, it could be exhausting just trying to hold a conversation.

I don't think it is incumbent upon *anyone* to engage with people who have been controlling and dismissive, especially when they are trying to gaslight you by stating they've done nothing wrong. When you know people are using the show and cameras to exact their revenge upon you, all bets are off.

I definitely think Mike and Trish's plan for this year was to take in TLC dough while humiliating and gaslighting Natalie at every opportunity.

I remember that as well....but I didnt' see the mask or hear that excuse at the start of the season, when she sprung the news on Michael. So....was the breaking news at the tell all a fake out reinactment (he already knew cause they had filmed these eps)???
