He told Janelle Robyn is loyal and he’s the he’s did the house hold there. If janelle let him be head of the household, that man would complain even more he’s doing all the work.  He would tell her to make her own decisions and figure it out ( you know like she’s been doing ).  And again I ask . What is he doing to his face ?  It’s not even the same shape anymore !

I think both him and Robyn have had some work done.

I don't really want to know about their sex lives, but I'd like to know if they make up a schedule or how they handle it if one wife needs more time with Kody or if one is sick and doesn't want her "turn".  I also wonder how much viagra Kody has to take because, at his age, I'd think it unlikely for him to be able to perform night after night without some pharmaceutical help.  I'd also like to know more of the nuts and bolts of how they distribute the finances.  If they'd go into more detail about the running of their lives, the show might become interesting again.  Instead, what we get is more My Sister Wives Closet stuff, and that business is never going to succeed, not in a million years as measured in Kolob time.

Well, marriage is much more than just bouncing and staining the mattress. What if a wife is sick or injured or just very upset. Does the "rotation" grind on regardless? What if a child is sick....or needs major surgery......oh, wait. I guess we know the answers to those questions, don't we.

So pre-Robyn when Kody was in the Utah house kept up a nightly rotation with the wives unless he was out of town, he did a lot of traveling for work and Meri would often go with him (leaving Leon with Christine to care for), and when he got back the rotation would pick up again. So you got multiple nights in a row with Kody if it was your anniversary/bday trip. He did say he would change the schedule around to accommodate bdays or anniversaries.

They did big family dinners together a few nights a week when Christine would cook, and Kody would be at those regardless of who’s night it was as the entire family was there.

I knew that happened in Wyoming, before Meri had Leon, but I didn't know that was happening in Lehi. Did they talk about that on the show, or did it come out some other way?

They talked about it on the show. Leon is #3 in birth order (Logan, Aspyn, Leon, Maddie then Mykelti)- those were their “5 in diapers”. Meri was going on weekend trips with Kody during that time, not all the time, but far more than the other wives did because she only had Leon. It was heavily implied that Meri had so much more time with Kody because she fewer caregiving responsibilities and the ones she had she had the benefit of a sister wife to take over.

They got the Lehi house using Janelle’s inheritance when she was pregnant with Savanah or right after Savanah was born.

Okay, yes, but I didn't ever hear anything about it still happening in Lehi, and it doesn't really correspond with anything I can remember being said on the show. I'm skimming a PDF of the book and I can't find anything like that in it, either. When they finally moved to Lehi, the book says Meri started working immediately, and Kody found a job that required no travel.

You may be right- I might have the time line off (I fully admit I make mistakes!)

Maybe I am thinking of the time they all lived in the trailer together with the “Five in Diapers” before the time Janelle moved out because Meri was working her last nerve, but she didn’t leave the family, Christine was still watching her kids while she worked.

Just watched an episode which completely made me so angry where he is telling the camera crew it's my home not theirs in reference to his older kids he is an absolutely disgusting human being I cannot bear him.

My brain has turned to mush. Which episode was that?

I don't recall that episode either. Was it a preview of something to come maybe from the Tell Nothing?

It was a few weeks back.   One of the episodes where he was ranting about Gabe and Garrison needing to have a conversation with him ( translation: beg forgiveness from Robyn) before being allowed in his home

When Janelle told him they were renting an Air BnB for Christmas, I remember Kody saying he didn't want to get together on neutral territory, or whatever, but rather in his home. I don't recall him saying "it's my home not theirs," but I do tune out Kody a lot, so my head doesn't explode.

Edited to add:

Oh wait, is this when he wanted Janelle to kick Garrison and Gabriel out of her old house in Flagstaff (the rented ranch-style house)?

I think I remember something about “I have a home where we can gather to celebrate Christmas so why would I go somewhere else?” Or something like that. I don’t know. All his bullshit runs together.

It was this season.  It was in a TH regarding them not coming to the house.     So it might have been about Christmas.  However the kids had already decided they were not going to his house period.

I also think they rented and AirBNB so that people had places to sleep and be together. All Kidney thinks about is himself, so he didn't give a flying fuck about the kids that traveled there to spend the holiday, he just wanted to have his way. It's his way or the highway and plus they deemed the place not safe. Since it's obvious the Robyn/Kidney crew think the rest are serial killers or some shit, with their fucking safe talk. Plus he was all ass hurt because he said Christine wasn't family anymore, which is bullshit. She's mother to 6 of his kids.

He's such a dick!

I think part of Kody's rage was that Christine played him. He didn't want anything to do with her. He barely kept up with 'her' children, but Christine was getting her ducks in a row. She got Ysabel's surgery done and Ysabel recovered and graduated from high school with a college plan before finalizing the relationship with Kody. He couldn't do anything about the equity in the house because that was dealt with prior so that he could buy Robyn's house. And Christine already had a reasonable "trade" for the value in Coyote Pass since it's worth on paper was very close to her house equity. She jumped when the market was good and took "his" money with her. His old control tactics which had always worked with Christine didn't work once she was officially done with him. Cue Kody Brown toddler fits.

And that's why I'll always like Christine even when she talks too much and I wanted to hear Jenelle.

Kootie saying he is trash talked because Christine couldn’t leave a good man .. first is this good man in the room now ? Secondly, good people do get left.  Third, him going on about people getting married being in passionate love   That’s about one of the dumbest reasons to get married.

Christine was very smart in getting everything prepared in the background before she made the actual split--major kudos to her for planning ahead! I wonder if she had any help/advice to work out what all she needed to do? She did spend some time with her sister out East while Ysabel was recuperating after her surgery and I wonder if they discussed what all Christine needed to do to get out of her relationship entanglement with Kody. Maybe her mother gave her some advice, too--didn't she leave her polygamous relationship?

I believe Christine received actual therapy when preparing herself to announce she was leaving.

For sure.  The way she sat there stone-faced while he wailed about his sacrifices and that knife to the kidney spoke volumes.  I think I may have applauded her at the time for not giving him the reaction he so desperately wanted.

Christine also had Janelle tell her back in Vegas to have a way to support herself before she left. (I think that's right - I can't quote backwards very well.) But in any case, it was clear to me that Janelle had also been through the same thought process and was advising her friend and sister wife how to survive.

It's too bad Janelle didn't take her own advice.

I wonder how they divided the money from the sale of Coyote Pass, since Janelle's plot of land was also in Kody and Robyn's names?  How on earth would they have parsed that out?  I can't imagine a scenario where Kody and Robyn are like, here's your fair and equal share and also here's some extra since it was your money that helped put Robyn in the mansion she deserves.  I would like to know how that all went down.

Where was it mentioned they sold it?

Good question, maybe @laurakaye is just speculating should it sell? I honestly doubt they  are going to be able to sell that land as is, w/no utilities, any time soon for any kind of profit.

Looks like, as of Nov 21, 2023, they still own it, still haven't paid it off, and are almost $5k behind on their taxes. For a guy who is so terrified of poverty, you'd think he would get his shit together and learn to live within his means. Stop trying to be a big shot and be able to sleep at night.

I was listening to a YouTuber who was theorizing that they are intentionally buying expensive "art" and jewelry to deplete their cash supply so there is nothing there if any or all of the wives try suing them. Who knows, but I wouldn't put it past them. They are stupid and sketchy enough to think that that would be a good strategy.

Wouldn't they have to sell any assets to pay the debt, if a court had ruled they owed any of the OG wives any amounts of money? If they didn't have the cash?

Kootie saying they acted the part.  Will you please stop speaking for other people ?  First of all, no one believes you. You may not have been in mad, passionate love with meri, but there was love there. You aren’t that good of an actor.  2. Even if you didn’t live meri, doesn’t mean she did t love you  3. You are trash and need to deal with it

Yep. That moron referred to himself as a "POOL BOY".... Poor thing.  He believes this shit.

Let's not discount Kody's self-identification.

Only Meri and Janelle have had a pool on an extended basis — when they lived in the Vegas rentals.

Not one of the wives has had a pool since moving to the cul-de-sac, in late 2012/early 2013. In other words, the sister wives have had no need for a pool boy for over a decade — not even Robyn.

I, for one, think he's right. Kody *is* the pool boy.

I am so tired of hearing him going on about his heartbreak.  What is there to be heartbroken over?  He wasn't attracted to Christine from day one.  He was grossed out by the way she ate.  He did like how she treated her sister wives.  He felt that she wanted too much of this time.  And the list goes on.

There is no heartbreak.  His massive ego took a knife to its kidney.

The heartbreak BS and knife to the kidneys is kody trying to spin a narrative where Robyn is this totally innocent loving sister wife who’s being blamed for something she didn’t do.

He makes it all about Christine breaking up the family and turning his kids against him when in reality we all know that’s BS.

His kids have turned against him and Robyn of their own choosing, they’ve got brains, ears and eyeballs… they saw what was going on.

I’m still very confused about his statements during the season on there being no negotiations with Christine regarding the breakup.  He wasn’t listening to a word she said    And she laughed at him talking about his near death with cod vid because she had been married to him and saw him sick before

Kody's description of having COVID and what we saw of him on the show don't match.  He acted like he'd been near death yet we saw him driving Robyn to the hospital and waiting in the car for her with nothing that looked like he was super sick.

Sure, sure. But he did mention he wanted to "check himself into the hospital" (as one does) so he could be with Robyn. He probably had to wait until the 4 PM check-in time so housekeeping could make up his room, and by then he'd learned Robyn would be fine and it was time to take her home.

I've been catching up on posts that FINALLY showed up (yayyyy!) and it hit me that Kody doesn't know how to apologize nor does he feel the need to do it. Everything that goes wrong is the fault of the OG wives and kids. In his patriarchal world, he is King and everything he does and says is not only right but wise and insightful. Bollocks to that.

If he had ever once apologized to anyone else, they might have more respect for him. Not likely, mind you, because he is a beady-eyed dangerous moron.
