Yea, I think JB&M see their micro level Fundy duties as done. They popped out 19 kids. Those kids are now building that army for God.

I’d bet that Jed could simply tell Anna himself to cough up an Aunt-Mom. Anna knows who the favored sons are and that list does not currently include her husband. I suspect that her “headship” is probably unofficially her brothers in law.

They all have awful beliefs, and are pretty awful people, Anna is just especially vocal about it: "Look at me! Look at how meek and submissive I am! Look at how many children I can produce!" all with that smug, pinched smile on her face. We would all probably dislike the others as much -- if not more -- if they had been around when the show was airing.

I would feel bad for her if she wasn't so unpleasant -- she absolutely followed all the rules and now she has nothing.  She can't get any kind of a job or go to school, and she's got a swarm of little kids at home anyway. She has no friends outside of her immediate family. She doesn't have the emotional or financial resources to divorce Josh and start again. Seeing Jed! take Josh's place as the favorite son, and watching Katie crank out more babies has to hurt.

Anna reminds me of a cousin’s wife. She was a country girl, kind of plain, modestly dressed, and popped out three kids immediately. My cousin was an up-and-coming oncologist. Meanwhile, his wife was very dutiful - went to every baby shower, wedding shower, any family event loaded with presents and children. Well, he kind of hit it big time. he was the chief of oncology at his hospital, and he ran a camp for children with cancer. First casualty, first wife. it’s not like we didn’t know it was coming. She had a homemade dress for her wedding, and no alcohol. We are Catholics, and my uncle sent his kids out to get alcohol for the wedding. He was also a wealthy doctor, and poor girl just never fit in. 
 

Of course in Anna‘s case, her husband was exactly the same as her, except for his despicable hobbies that landed him in prison. But he did want something else. My cousin found a nice second wife, while stupid Josh found himself in the big house.

I think Truett is two and a half, and Nora is twelve months younger. So Katey and Dumber will have four kids under three.

It's possible it is a family name.  Milford has run through many generations in our family.  Most of them used a nickname, however.

Christine Brown is into those godawful, super-duper "unique" spellings. You can look at the names of the Brown kids and pick out which ones are hers. "Ysabel," for crying out loud.

Christine also had Paden, Gwendolyn, with not that spelling at all but I’m too lazy to look it up. Mykelti, which is probably also not spelled like that. Who am I missing? Janelle had very traditional names. Logan, Madison, Hunter, Garrison (RIP) Gabriel, Savannah. And Meri’s (one R or two?) Mariah.

They never disclosed whether they are identical or fraternal. Since twins rarely go much over 37 weeks, Katey should deliver as sometime later this month (her due date is in January).

Twins rarely go full term or late, but sometimes do.  Some of my taller friends easily made it full term.  How tall is Katey?  I no longer even try to keep the spouses straight.

Katey is almost as tall as Jed! but Duggar sons tend to run on the short side, so it's hard to guess her height. I'd say around 5'6".

They were a day or two after their due date.  I think my next door neighbor had hers less than two weeks before the due date and she's smaller than average.  They never saw the NICU.

These days, the general recommendation is that twins be delivered somewhere between 2 and 3 weeks prior to their due date because of the high risk of complications including stillbirth associated with twin pregnancies.  Chances are, she will either be scheduled for an induction or a cesarean at that point.

As far as whether the twins are identical; the odds of that are small.  First they've got to be the same sex (duh!).  The odds of having natural twins without fertility drugs is something like 1 in 250 pregnancies.  Of those pregnancies, maybe a quarter will be identical.  

The odds of having twins has increased a lot in recent years due to the fact that more woman are having babies after age 35 which increases the risk.  The biggest reason, of course, is because of fertility treatments which substantially increase the risk of multiples.  Even the simplest fertility drugs increase the chances of twins by a factor of 10. Twins that occur due to fertility treatment are fraternal; the odds of having identical twins is the same in woman who undergo fertility treatment as in women who didn't use medications.
