In her media interview, when asked about Brett Kavanaugh, she repeatedly said that he was "on the Supreme Court Justice". Personally, I think that's what prompted Kelli to mention her eloquence and fluidity when speaking. It's one thing if she doesn't know who he is, or mixed up him getting fired as a result of the hearings, but in that instance she wasn't even referencing the Supreme Court correctly. She actually said he was a former SC justice because he was convicted of sexual harrassment. Not true. He was accused of rape (credibly so to some) during his nomination hearing. The accusation went nowhere and he was confirmed to the court. Rachel jumped into to say he was still on the Supreme Court. I was actually surprised TPTB kept that in. Wouldn’t that be slander or something? 6 Link to comment

I'll nitpick them when they are posted along with an HQ photo of the squad photo. If anyone gets any news on the squad photo or if any other girls posted their cameo photos, please let me know. They have had to take a leap of faith with the "take home learners" before if they liked them, and sometimes it payed off and sometimes not. But yes, I suspect the ranking would be a little different and perhaps a couple cuts different outcome. Then again, at the end of the day Kelli does what she wants to do and we know she picks favorites. 7 Link to comment
Popular Post Vandy10 January 13, 2021 Popular Post Share January 13, 2021 Kelli and Judy are being willfully ignorant about what Brennan said. She was pretty clear what she meant by the direction DCC is going in. She mentioned how DCC are supposed to be great performers as well as smart, accomplished, well-spoken, well-rounded people. Obviously she thinks K&J are running off all of those women in favor of...others. I can't say I totally disagree with her, although I believe it's moreso that K&J have only ever paid lip service to those ideals while making it practically impossible for driven, mature, professional women to also jump through all their ridiculous hoops to be in this team. 36 Link to comment

I’d cut her next season along with Alora, Jessica (who I never knew made the team) and a few others. Armani will be around for a while. She’s the complete package. Jada, I like, but she just doesn’t look the part in the uniform. Very modelesque. Dani, Elli, Darian, and Claire, love them all. Keep them around. Yes. Perfect observations. Now my unanswered question is: Why does there have to be a "Meredith, or Morgan, or even a 50 yd. Kelsey" every year? Now we can add Alora-Rose to that category. Too much screen time, too many chances...at least we were spared Meredith's tears and incessant whining this year. 12 Link to comment

Kelsey, to begin with, was a bit of a trainwreck, but in her rookie TC, she improved on both her ambassadorship (is that even a word?) and her dance skills. I found her to be easier to watch as a dancer than Morgan or Meredith (who is excellent when in her own style) and she had a really likeable personality. She really grew into the role of being a rookie and then a vet. Even fan fave Lauren struggled with her memory, but still got show group! 9 Link to comment

blairwaldorf January 13, 2021 Share January 13, 2021 (edited) This will be unpopular but I'm not a fan of rookie Claire. She's like Maddie 2.0 to me and I am just struggling to see what it is about her that is so impressive to Kelli and Judy. For me, Hannah's bitter, passive aggressive attitude during the call when they cut her shed some light on a possible reason WHY she was cut. If she's pulled an attitude like that in the past, either directly to their faces or behind their backs and they found out about it, I'm not surprised that they let her go, unfortunately. Especially if there were also some dance issues in training camp. Whereas Brennan and Lily both made it clear they were upset but still came across as graceful and professional, Hannah just seemed spiteful, mean, and immature. I also feel like if they're going to cut people for being ambassador risks because of their answers on media day, they need to make those cuts right after media day and not delay them. Or, if they don't want to cut great dancers who also happen to be inarticulate, then make media day part of show group auditions instead of part of general training camp. That way, bombing an interview won't necessarily keep you off the team, but it WILL keep you off of show group that year, where most of the high profile interviews take place. Hannah's rebuke strikes me as someone who was blindsided by her cut and their reasoning why she was cut as they never said ANYTHING about her pom technique or any dance-related technique as far as we know. If there was an issue with Hannah's attitude, it should have been addressed right then and there, even if it was something Kelli'd heard about second-hand. Given the fact that Kelli has allowed girls with bad attitudes to stay on the team LONG past their expiration dates tells me that she's good with bad attitudes as long as the girl is one of her favorites. No, given what we've seen on the show, it's getting clearer that Hannah's and Brennan's cuts were more for drama then for any other reasons. Even Kelli's response of "It's performance related" rings so hollow it should be an echo chamber as we saw absolutely NO evidence whatsoever that there were performance-related issues. Hannah had issues with ONE new dance and that could have been corrected easily enough given her history with the team. If both Brennan and Hannah had so many performance-related issues, why didn't we see FAR more of them then were shown or why weren't they cut earlier? 37 minutes ago, Tuxcat said: It seems that people are mad that she didn't break down, cry or beg. Why are there differences between Hannah's perceived passive aggressive attitude and Brennan's outright words which literally called K/J out on the spot? Both were trying to preserve dignity by not losing it on national television. Both were determined to not allow this emotional experience to be exploited for the sake of ratings. I don't see that as attitude. I also see both as being upset less about their personal cuts and more about the realization that the organization is not all fairies and rainbows. If they had certain opinions about why DCC chose to prioritize ratings over the mental and physical well being of the girls, then kudos to them for voicing their opinions. 1 44 Link to comment

I'm not mad that she didn't break down, cry or beg. At best, she was trying not to show how hurt, mad and upset she was that she was cut. At worst, she was trying not to say something that could come back to haunt her in so many ways. The fact that she was polite and neutral was to her benefit. I don't think she had attitude on the call and I think her Instagram calls out Kelli's hypocrisy and other issues without really pointing a finger or doing it in a way that she could legally get in trouble for. Social media is FULL of people calling out their former employers for far worse things and the fact that Kelli STILL has issues with proving that Hannah's cut wasn't BS is rather funny. Didn't come across passive-aggressive to me, but see above as to why. I agree with you 100%. If Hannah voiced her opinion to K/J, regarding the lack of protection in their ‘bubble,’ and they just brushed her off....maybe, even gave her a hard time about how stressed she was, then maybe I’d have an attitude too. Who knows what went on behind closed doors? Maybe they targeted Hannah and Brennan and called them out on things while others, who also made mistakes, were never even mentioned. Her attitude might be because she was just done. But, unless we were there, it’s really hard to say if her attitude was justified or not. Remember, we are only seeing what they want us to see. All I know is that Hannah is a very strong and talented dancer. You don’t make show group each year if you aren’t talented. 32 Link to comment

I don't think she should have been cut (I don't think any of the vets should have been cut, I think they should have gone with a vet only squad from the get-go), but I also think her attitude sucks (tm Cassie). Agree that lots of people doing something doesn't make it right or classy, but neither does staying quiet and letting people say things about you that may or may not be true because it suits them. Speaking out and speaking up has also led to others realizing that their treatment at the hands of certain people or businesses (not just Kelli, Judy, Charlotte or the DCC) aren't right and that could lead to change actually occurring. Speaking up has risks but so does staying silent and whichever one a person chooses, they have to deal with the repercussions. 27 Link to comment

We have heard rumors that VK was nasty and rude to everyone in camp, that both a rookie and one of the weakest vets are sleeping with players. I know if 2 of my coworkers were breaking a major rule and the boss chose to ignore it, then cut me, when i followed all the rules and went above and beyond for them, then I would have a major attitude. 30 Link to comment
Popular Post Tuxcat January 13, 2021 Popular Post Share January 13, 2021 It's also worth noting that normally vets are cut at finals. We see their shocked faces but then they are swallowed up by their supportive teammates and shuffled off camera. These vet cuts were literally zoomed in. Its honestly unrealistic to expect veterans to react with deference for K/J in that moment. I am impressed to be honest, that they remained so composed. 45 Link to comment
