SweePea59 January 10, 2022 Share January 10, 2022 Why wasn't Paul at the table when Michael & Lauren and Christine were reminiscing with flashbacks? Why in the fucking hell wasn't Paul there? It is disgusting that they don't use Paul at all for anything ever. It was amazing to see flashbacks from when the show was actually dramatic. I can barely understand a word Grampire says any more. When Michael asked him if he could "get it in writing", I thought, yeah, reading back a transcript is the only way you're going to know what he said. It was amazing that we got a Scotty mention and Fenn flashback. Overall, I really enjoyed this episode. 1 15 Link to comment
Joimiaroxeu January 10, 2022 Share January 10, 2022 (edited) Sparkly fabric top notwithstanding, Lauren was kind of dressed down today, no? Way different from her usual escort service look. Her makeup was rather subdued too. Guess she didn't want to pull attention away from Michael. Christine said if Michael retired it would truly be the end of an era in GC. Yeah, an era when former convicts can serve as the DA despite having spent several years in prison. Only in GC, amirite? 😐 I didn't remember Christine having her hair cut in that short flip she had in one of the flashbacks. IMO that was a good look for her. Much better than the perpetually center-parted long hair she usually sports. 😼 Heh, Victor used to call him "thatshysterMichaelBaldwin." Now he's offering him a job as NM's in-house counsel. Not sure why Michael would want to go back to being Victor's consigliere. And how does Adam fit into the decision? OMG, Chloe still had that weird hairdo. How old does she think she is, 12? Meanwhile, oh look, it's Gloria's other felonious son who's managed to get a job working in a position of public trust. 🙄 How does one have oneself delivered in a box? Without ending up suffocated or severely bruised, that is. I suppose if anyone could find a way, it's Gloria. 🥴 (Also, she must be tiny. Michael picked her up out of that carton with barely any effort.) Ditto comments upthread about Paul's absence but also, where was Rey? For a while not too long ago Rey seemed to be working directly for Michael. Hmmm. 🤔 I have to say, Lauren and Michael have been one of most successful pairings on Y&R. Who'da thunk it? Waldo13 January 10, 2022 Share January 10, 2022 I really like Michael’s beard and not because his hair and beard are gray just like mine. Like me, he looks more distinguished 😜. Great idea Michael go to work for Victor than Amanda could become DA. Amanda has a big enough ego to think she could be a private practice lawyer as well prosecutor at the same time. and maybe in the same case 😛. Just to think there could be a great day, Gloria, Kevin, and Chloe show up. At least Rodan the Petty got a mention in stead of torturing us with her presence. Banana Breath the Pompous and Adam gets a nightmare to examine their past and Michael gets a daymare. When Kevin and Chloe talk all I hear is chip chip chip chip 🐿🐿🐿🐿. 5 8 Link to comment
boes January 11, 2022 Share January 11, 2022 (edited) I liked today's episode. Out of all these stand-alone shows - the number of which tells us that even the writers know they've running on empty - today's show, focusing on Michael, was the most enjoyable. I loved seeing Gloria, paltry as it was, and I don't mind Kevin in small doses or even Chloe. I enjoyed Christine and I thought Victor looked terrific. IMO EB is looking good these days. Lauren was dialed back and truth be told, she and Michael have always had good onscreen chemistry, I think. CLB is an engaging actor. I think he's pretty good when he goes dark, decent with rage, pretty great being breezy and witty, but when he does heartfelt, I always have the urge to giggle. His earnestness in those flashbacks, pleading his case to Christine and being vulnerable to Lauren when she told him they were going to have a kid did not benefit from his closeups. The only scene funnier today was the flashback to the latest version of Fen thanking his parents for always "being there". Nobody would EVER guess the actor was the grandson of Grant Tinker. Right?? Cuz the talent, it oozes.....all over....the floor. But I'll take any of them and even most of those storylines over the big fat dumps of nothin' were getting from the showrunners these days. So, who do you think is next for their standalone episode? Esther? Chloe? Maybe a special episode to take us on a walk down memory lane to revisit Sally's rich history in Genoa City, or an hour long tribute to Ashland's time in the heart of Cheese Country? Maybe Show will realize what gold they've got and devote standalone episodes to Nick doing laundry for the first time, Sharon eating her first carb since 1973 or - just think of it - just one long episode of nothing but excerpts of Victor mentioning the orphanage! Anything rather than write an actual storyline that's interesting. Edited January 11, 2022 by boes 18 3 Link to comment
Skarzero January 11, 2022 Share January 11, 2022 (edited) Today's show was amazing, and it went by kind of fast! I find that even when I fast forward through the crappy moments the episode still feels so long. I forgot how it used to be when Soaps were truly good, an hour didn't feel long enough back then. Also, Christan LeBlanc was/is even better looking than I remember! Lauren and Michael have really come along way from their hell raising 90's days, and I felt happy they were happy. I give today's episode a 10/10 which is truly amazing since I rate them -10/10 most days. Edited January 11, 2022 by Skarzero 2 11 Link to comment

Foghorn Leghorn January 11, 2022 Share January 11, 2022 I am still not used to CLB’s grey hair and the beard does nothing for him except to make him look older. The least makeup could have done with him is to trim his hair and beard so he didn’t look so unkempt or something. Nice to see Lauren in normal clothes for a change! Seeing the flashbacks of her highlighted her enhancements to her face though. She is pulled so tight she can hardly close her lips! Lol Same with Gloria! 11 Link to comment

Waldo13 January 11, 2022 Share January 11, 2022 Where o where has my little Christian gone? Where oh where can he be? Of course he’s home with the nanny and has an early bed time with no exceptions. I have to say that Abby got it right. Parenting is a journey and you don’t know if you have done a good job, of raising your child, for years. I understand Chance 2.0 lack of confidence because of his resent failure and he’s questioning his abilities. I have to give Abby kudos for her new found maturity as a parent. There is a new game in GC and it’s called oneupmanship. Yesterday it was Michael and today it Banana Breath the Pompous. Yesterday it was the worlds greatest lawyer and today it’s the world greatest dad. Why is it ok for Banana Breath the Pompous to be too involved in his children’s lives but, according to Banana Breath the Pompous, he resents the fact that Victor is too involved in his children’s lives. Yes Noah, go to work for your father and you can do nothing together. Amanda once again STFU. Devon IS 100% being selfish. He will be taking precious time away from Abby and Chance 2.0 to continue to bond with Bowie. Amanda, if Devon’s desire to be a father figure, than volunteer to have Devon’s child. Mariah’s bond is 1000 times stronger, with Bowie, but her attention has been diverted by having a child of her own. One last thing. Fuck Noah and his longing looks at Tessa. 1 19 Link to comment
Joimiaroxeu January 11, 2022 Share January 11, 2022 Wait, I thought we already had a tongue bath episode for Nick? Moses is really leaning into the cardigan thing. Kind of a staid look for someone hoping to become a music producer, IMO. Well at least Show acknowledged today that with this younger Chance it's like Abby has two kids instead of one. I think they need to direct MO to stop talking to him like he's a teenager. Sharon calling Nick "the old guy" is funny given that she's older than him. Wasn't Sharon like a year or two Nick's senior when they initially got together back in the day? I really don't understand why Amanda was painting an image of Dominic growing up in lack of sufficient love and caring. It's utter bovine excrement and she knows it. This is purely a situation of seller's remorse, as it were. Devon regrets giving away his first biological child. That's understandable but I'm not sure there's a legal remedy for it unless he agreed to be the sperm donor under emotional duress; mental incapacitation; or, false pretenses on Abby's part. Acid jazz? Meh. Doesn't seem to me Nick would be a fan of any flavor of jazz. Oh please let me never again have to watch that rhythm-challenged bunch in the coffeehouse trying to boogie down. Especially Moses. He looked like a drunk stork doing a mating dance in a chicken coop. 😼 Uh oh, Noah's still getting wistful looks at the mention of Mariah and Tessa's plan to adopt a baby. If he offers to be their sperm donor I might have to dust off my pitchfork and storm the Y&R studios. Nooooo! 🤯🤯🤯 So Devon and Chance were both having a sad about their roles in Dom's life. Wow....😒 Booo Devon and Amanda, I wish they would both shut up. It's normal that Devon is having regrets about giving away his firstborn but, it's also tough shit. He should've realized & reconciled with that before he opened his big mouth to volunteer being a donor and signed legal documents. Plus, Abby could have and should have just said no to Devon donating, but at least she set clear boundaries early on maintains them. There is no evidence to Chance/Abby being unfit parents and even if they were, there are at least 5 different family members(on both sides so more like at least 10) he can go live with before anyone would even think to consider Devon's selfish, two-faced ass. Nick's party made me yawn, until I saw everyone "dancing", then it made me scream in terror. NuNoah continues to be a douche as he looks on with jealously/longing at Tessa and his sister's plans to have a baby of their own. If he's gonna keep acting like that then he needs to fuck off back to London. boes January 12, 2022 Share January 12, 2022 Before I say anything about today's most excellent Shew, I have to tell you all about this dream I had. See, in my dream, I was being pelted by all these talking tennis balls, all of which looked like various members of the Kardashian family with some members of the British Royal family thrown in, along with Scooby Do, President Calvin Coolidge and Lou Costello. That was terrifying enough, but then the tennis balls changed into ping pong balls and suddenly I found myself inside the neighbor's Kenmore washing machine and it started calling me "DOD". Luckily I woke up right before the spin cycle. PHEWWWWW! Scary, amIrite?? Anyway, I'm positive that dream means that I should be allowed to adopt my neighbors dog AND her washing machine and if I see any tennis balls over there, they belong to ME. Dreams totally stand up in court. Always. Devon had a dream too, didn't he? So Moses says he's had a ton of experience babysitting Dominic? But I thought Devon gave up his life, his job, his everything to devote every minute of every day, the whole 4 days Abby was away to take care of Dominic - even with the nanny there. So when exactly was Moses doing all this babysitting? The correlation between Devon and Neil in relation to Dominic is a pretty shaky one, considering that Neil was Devon's adoptive DOD, who he greatly preferred to his bio DOD, Tucker. Which translates into Dominic being more attached to Chance, right? You're getting Amanda's best legal advice, Devon, and remember exactly how much that's worth. In bottle caps. Nothing says selfless parental love like Nick trying to pressure Noah into working with him at a housing non profit when his passion is art. Or cornering him at your birthday party to ask him about it. Yeah, that Nick is a helluva DOD. I was hoping that among all the reminisences, they might take a trip down memory lane and remember all the times Nick ripped Noah or Faith or both away from Sharon and treated her like dirt, used their kids for revenge against her, or abandoned his kids to go play pickup sticks with Phyllis. He's pretty special, that Nick, in so many ways. So is Show heading towards a throuple with Sharon, Rey and Nick??? Nah, I know that'd never happen, but I'd give ANYTHING to see the expression on Rey and Nick's faces if it was ever brought up. I'd like to see the expression on Sharon's face, too, but currently, hers doesn't move. Moses and Faith looked like they were ready to go on their religious mission today, bringing salvation to the hip and the heathen. Calling those two "dorks" is insensitive to dorks. I'm assuming when and if those two ever get to third base, their version of third base will be saying three decades of the Rosary. 18 1 Link to comment

JNavarro January 12, 2022 Share January 12, 2022 (edited) Ayyy Rey Rey, probably should have been at that party, bud. What's the deal with Sharon and her relationship to Christian, anyway? Obviously she's not his actual mother and there was the whole "Sully" fiasco, but wasn't she like a de facto mom when she was with Nick and the show treating it as such? Just not sure what they intend for it to be right now, if anything. Apart from storyline purposes, if it's so bad for Noah, why doesn't he just leave and go somewhere, anywhere else? Dude's booking a luxury seat on the pain train if he's trying to see this Tessa thing out to the bitter end. Of course Nick is going to grunge out in a flannels and jeans the following day. What's the difference? It was so fitting that he literally got a children's birthday party. The "world" doesn't think Devon has a son? Yeah, because Devon gleefully agreed to exactly that in writing. As others pointed out, it's normal for him to have regrets now that it's here, but it doesn't change the reality. Like, the kid is fine. Absolutely fucking fine. Loved and cared for by both parents and an extended family. There's no "protection" needed from Devon, so it absolutely is selfish if he puts his regret over the quite happy situation the baby is in right now. Waldo13 January 12, 2022 Share January 12, 2022 Tell me how did Olive really win? Victor was showing no real interest in buying ChanceCom. Olive is so full of shit about acquiring NM. It not a business move it’s a personal move against Adam. Hey Olive, I got news for you, Victor knew exactly what Adam was doing with Nostrils the Weasel. Victor knew about the videos and wasn’t too broken up about Nostrils the Weasel’s so call down spin. Devon needs to be kicked in the balls an someone to tell him to go fuck himself. Who the fuck is Devon to question Chance 2.0’s ability to be a father? Who the fuck is Devon to think that he will be a positive influence for Bowie? Just by bringing a law suit actually shows he will be a negative influence, on Bowie, for shuffling him back and forth between households and maybe having a different set of ideas how Bowie should be brought up. Lily has been sleeping so long that she has taken on his personality. Lily just had to confront Adam telling his that he can’t let the hostility between him and Nostrils the Weasel go when it’s actually Lily who can’t let it go by injecting herself into the fray. With Jill blood must be thicker than water with selling ChanceCom to Olive and not Victor. I’m sure that even though Nostrils the Weasel brought it in himself, Jill is making Adam and Victor accountable. Does Jill even remember that if it wasn’t for Victor, Jill would not even own Chancellor. Katherine willed it to Victor and Victor was “kind enough” to sell it to Jill. As I said before, the last time Chelsea had a good idea it died of loneliness. Sally is the idea person but wouldn’t you think that Chelsea and Chloe would have bad ideas of their own? Adam had a really bad idea, in the first place, with hiring Chloe in order for Chelsea to have a job. Did anyone catch that comment from Ashland to Natey Nate Nate about his cancer? AFAIC Sally should not be beholden to either of those broads, both of whom seem to think their sh!t no longer stinks. 💩 How much money do you have, Devon? You're going up against people who have pretty much an unlimited ability to fight you in court. Plus, this is a rare occasion when they actually have the legal position which doesn't need much defending. Good luck. 😉 Is Victor letting his facial hair grow out? Oy. I think he already looks kind of slovenly for a man of his stature and I don't see a beard or some scruff helping to make that better. 😼 Victoria acting like a giddy middle school girl showing her latest all-As report card to daddy. OMFG. Grow up. Maybe Sally should take the ideas Chelsea summarily shuts down out of spite and jealousy and market them to someone else under a different name. 🤔 Shut up, shut up, shut up, Chloe. I think your clear lack of objectivity about Chelsea and Adam makes you close to worthless as Sally's boss or career advisor. If Adam were smart he'd dump the fashion division altogether but Victor probably wouldn't let him. Go have Manhattan, Sally. The Bronx and Staten Island too. If you can make it there, you'll make it anywhere. In New York, New York, New York. 😏🎶 Ugh, where is a house when you need one dropped on somebody who keeps using their kid as a manipulation tool ? O hai, Chelsea. Meanwhile, look at Sally being all bold and beautiful by asking Adam to join her on her business trip. He told Nate and Lily that Abby and Chance refused his request to "spend more time with Dominic". That is blatantly not true. Abby clearly told him he was always welcome and could see the baby whenever he wanted. She only objected to changing the legal terms they all had agreed to. It seems out of character for Devon to lie this way to justify his decisions. Judging Chance's parenting skills is a pretty low blow, but I have a feeling Chance is going to testify on Devon's behalf because this show is that dumb. 1 11 Link to comment
boes January 13, 2022 Share January 13, 2022 (edited) Hey Lily! Why don't you blow it out your bouffant? She's strolling around town, her nose pointed so high in the air, it seems she must be buying all the b.s. people are shoveling her way. Jill gave you the job as recompense for babysitting her son more than anything else. Devon was on target questioning ButtBiscuit's claim to have dropped his Adam vendetta. So rather than toodle over in your nine inch nails to scold Adam, you might want to keep your eyes on the ground and watch for that new steaming pile of ButtBiscuit bits I'm sure Billy is imminently preparing for you to clean up. You never learn, anymore than ButtBiscuit ever changes. What's next, Devon? Gonna start telling people you found Dominic abandoned in a snow drift? That Abby and Chance are making him dance for pennies in Chancellor Park? Claim that living with Chance is why the baby has size 12 feet? Making a case that the little Hamburgler is in some sort of danger seems like a bigger stretch than ButtBiscuit being every woman's dream guy. This storyline feels as if it were designed to create maximum damage for all involved. Ante chance Gloria might still have her recipe for poisoned face cream? If she does, I wish Sally would borrow it and mix up a huge batch for Chelsea. Maybe make it into a full body lotion. I'd be fine if she made up a batch for Chloe, too. Boundaries are being crossed in every possible direction, but Chloe trying to dictate Sally's personal life is so beyond the pale. But then this whole thing is predicated on Chelsea's rep as a great designer so it's already in Willy Wonka land. Edited January 13, 2022 by boes 7 9 Link to comment
Skarzero January 13, 2022 Share January 13, 2022 (edited) We're only 12 days into the New Year and Victoria is already angling for "Worst sister of the year" award. Also great job Jill for selling ChanceComm to Newman/Locke!(the writers really don't give a fuck). And How nice of her to leave out the fact that she sided with and encouraged her dumbass, holier-than-thou ex-husband to trick Adam out of Newman Media to further her bullshit agenda. I could not take Lily seriously, her walking around town with NotBilly's self-righteous chip on her shoulder was cringeworthy. She was condescending to Adam(to Ashland as well) and I wished he went in on Lily a bit more on the "Billy is superior" web she was spinning and called her out on her blatant hypocrisy toward him. Billy has screwed up just about as much as Adam has, but unlike Adam, Nostrils gets enabling siblings & a million and one chances to prove he's "better" when Adam gets stuck with his shit siblings(minus Abby) a handful chances if he's lucky. If he weren't still so insufferable, I would've said that Devon redeemed himself an inch by pointing out that Billy is a professional liability, but that would be like saying water is wet and fire is hot. And He can most definitely choke for questioning Chance's parenting(what makes him an expert?) and lying about how Abby/Chance will not allow him to see Dominic more, knowing damn well he rocked the boat by bringing up legal custody to them. lgprimes January 13, 2022 Share January 13, 2022 I gotta say, I dislike both Adam and Chelsea… but the two actors have chemistry together. (Just to be upfront, I also dislike Sally! In fact there are precious few characters on this show I give a crap about, and I’m sad that one of them is about to be re-cast.. but masochist that I am, i keep on tuning in) 1 2 Link to comment
