There's so much going on with David & Shannon. This is brutal reality tv. Their emotions are so raw and real. When he told her she needs to be happy with herself and then finally told her he loved her I was relieved. He hit the nail on the head when he said if she loved him she wouldn't treat him the way she does.

I feel bad for Shannon because it seems like her emotions are so out of control but she can't reign it in. Even if she knows deep down that she should stop.

I still think he had an affair in the past which is the root cause of their marriage breaking down. She's been punishing him for years and he's finally had enough.

Essentially, he's leading her out the door.  You need to find your happiness.  While she's saying she wants to find her happiness with him.  He's so noncomittal.  She looks like a woman who never thought her man would ever want to leave her.  It's shock and hurt.  He's looking like the guy who is trying to ease her out slowly.  I don't see any real caring for her beyond well, we're roommates.

I don't know if the problem was infidelity.  I would think he'd be MUCH more apologetic.  I get the sense that he wants to do things in life without having Debbie Downer by his side.  I don't know what their ages are but Shannon seems like she's 20 years older than him. I think she just wants to sit at home in front of the fire, he wants to parachute out of planes.  Two different worlds.

That said, it wouldn't surprise me if he has been unfaithful.  I just don't know that I believe he was busted for cheating.

What does Shannon expect from a marriage? She was complaining that they make dinner for their kids and then go to bed. Message to Shannon - that's what most the world does! We work all day, come home, make dinner for our kids and go to bed. She lives in some money/privilege bubble where she has expectations that she cannot articulate. I'm sorry, I don't get it. And Heather and Terry take the kids out to dinner but the nanny shows up to whisk them away. How nice for them

Tamra needs to take she baby storyline and go away.

I don't care about Lizzie and her bathing suits.

Vicki is just Vicki. At least she is watchable.

I could see giving the robot baby to teenage kids to teach them how hard it is but why would Tamra want the robot baby to convince Eddie to have a baby with her?  The robot baby just cries and you have to do everything to take care of it but you don't get any of the rewards of a real baby like the cuddling and the cuteness and the love.  Just weird to me.  I did like the scene with Ryan holding the baby...lol!!  He has 3 younger siblings so I guess he's used to babies.  He and Eddie are arguing and it's hard to take him seriously when he's holding a doll.  I thought it was cute.

I actually liked Brooks on vacation in Mexico.  He and Vikki seemed very relaxed and happy together.

That's exactly right.

I think Shannon is someone who could benefit by doing something outside the home that is fulfilling to her.  Go volunteer somewhere.  She seems to need some other outlet than running to some holistic healer.

I think David is absolutely correct that she needs to be happy before she can be happy as a couple.

Shannon is beyond exhausting!  Instead of spending her money on an energy specialist and a Feng Shui advisor, she desperately needs a therapist stat!

Being on vacation with her would be pure torture.  She had to go horseback riding after 30 YEARS, the horse might fall on the rocks, there might be mosquitoes, she wasn't going to get a nap, yada, yada, yada.  The only reason she got up on the bar to dance was to try to prove that she knows how to have fun, but I never heard her say one positive thing about the trip.  Was there anything she actually enjoyed about the vacation?  The constant crying, the whining, the bitching; I can't believe that David has stuck it out this long.  Most men would get as far away from that ball of dysfunction as possible.  I found almost every scene with her to be cringeworthy.

Well now I know that Vickie would think I'm the most boring human on a vacation since I'd rather die than dance on tables. Or dance at all ever. Think Elaine Bennis during a seizure.

Why do I continue to go on vacations?

All of these women are just throwing stuff out to see what sticks. Shannon is a nut and desperately needs a therapist and some drugs.

Shannon is the MVP of this season.  Not due to her being a likable character, but by being honest.  That said, most people pay for marriage counseling while they seem to be lucking out by getting paid to do marriage counseling.  So real and totally non-scripted.  Their scene together harkens back to the original concept of real people living in Orange County.

Coming next week is Shannon's freak out at Lizzie's party and breaking the 4th wall.  I'm really hoping the producer's leave the camera line in the episode.  Again, Shannon is the best new addition ever!

What was the point of the Dubrows having a "family supper" and then having them whisked away by the nanny in the middle of it?

Shaddup, Tamra! I was tired of her robo-baby nonsense and her fake grief over Heather repeating what she had gossiped to her.

Well, there's that domestic violence charge against him in the past.  It's possible she's still harboring resentment for him with whatever went down with that entire situation.

Also, David is at the prime age for a male midlife crisis.  Men may think we women are the ones who go temporarily insane with a midlife crisis, but I've seen many of men go through it as well.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Shannon does want to be a homebody at this stage of her life and he's seeking out more stimulating ways to entertain himself.  I believe that's quite common for men "of a certain age."  Recapturing their youthful adventurous days, so to speak.

Although we may never know the details behind the DV situation, it could be something that subconsciously Shannon has had a difficult time working through and still harbors resentment for it.  Since I don't know the details I can't really say if that's the case or not, or if it's justified or not.

I'm waiting for David to purchase a brand-new bright-colored corvette or other impractical sports car.  Every man I've known go through "man-o-pause" always seem to start with getting something "sexy" to replace their family-friendly vehicle.

Yes, middle age crisis! And you are right -- women go through that too.  I went through stages of "All I do is X, X, and X."  When you are in your mid 40s, you are in an odd place.  You want change, but you don't want extreme change.  And yet you do.  But you feel like you are too old to make a radical change (job change for instance.)  So you have to find something that gets you excited.  Shannon needs that desperately I think.  I suspect David thought her getting on RHOC was going to give her some excitement -- being a celebrity now.  But instead it just put a world web lens on the state of their marriage

Good for them going to Hawaii as a couple. I hope they can work it out or just go their separate ways amicably.

I like the friendship between Vicki and Shannon. Hopefully it lasts.

Lizzie, honey, when your Father hands you $100,000 that's the equivalent of being a poor little rich girl. Someone helped you. Most people trying to start their own businesses have to try to get financing through a bank and repay the loan with interest. There's nothing groundbreaking about her swimwear. It's an extremely difficult market. I don't know why everyone thinks you can easily go into fashion design.

"We live an amazing life. In fact, I wish we didn't live the way we live. That's the way I feel and I kill myself for that. That's my issue. I accept that issue and I hope at some point in time you'll forgive me for that issue"

That was tough to watch but it was one of the most real things I've seen on these shows in a very long time. I don't know their history, but I hope they figure things out and make it.

I did a guffaw when I heard her actually talk about getting money from her dad to support her vanity business and then in the same breath said she "did it all by herself."

I thought he was saying that he wishes they didn't live the life of opulence because to support that lifestyle, he works a lot and isn't available to her.

Absolutely one of the most real, raw, reality experience I recall seeing.  Those tears and the hurt were real..  And I guess they haven't yet split given their vacation pics, but he certainly seem to be telling her to find your own happiness -- not happiness that includes me being a part of it.  If they didn't have kids, that would've been the "it's not you, it's me" speech.

Maybe he's referring to their high end lifestyle? Like he has to work long hours to hold up his end?

Originally I thought he was talking about the distance in their marriage and what caused it? Like an affair and he hopes she forgives him for that.

I think the "issue" he's referring to is the elephant in the room that they don't want to directly address on camera.

Here's my guess on the "issue."  Shannon found an email from someone to David that was very flirty.  He denies having an affair and only cops to an inappropriate "emotional" affair that they stopped before it ever got physical.

She knows it was an affair deep in her heart which is why she has resentment, but she convinces herself it was just an "emotional affair."  So he maintains it wasn't an affair and can't understand why she can't get over it.

That's just my wild ass guess!

Either the producers cut a multi-series deal with the people who gave Kenya a temporary baby; or it was purchased as part of Gretchen's storyline before she got canned.  I can't get past this feeling that Tamra is essentially playing Gretchen's part, had she stuck around.

Heather is the devil.  Let's just put it out there clearly, agree to agree about it, and perhaps the producers will move on to something else.  I'm tired of it...yet oddly looking forward to Shannon completely losing her shit next week while Heather stands there.

What did Lizzie do with the $100k her dad gave her, since it doesn't seem like she opened a store and she designs the stuff herself?  Was that all for manufacturing?

Vicki-more relaxed and centered this season. She is learning to enjoy the life that her hard work has provided and not trying to control everyone and everything around her.

Shannon & David-raw and real. We all have had friend couples that we have witnessed the rebirth or death of their marriage.

Tamra & Eddie- boring, don't care.

Heather & Terry-we are done, please leave my tv now.

Lizzie-filler flower in the boquet of life, there but who cares.

Awww, I love that Brooks can bestow affirmations on the entire table and not just Vicky.

So tired of Vicky acting like some relationship guru, and constantly insinuating that it's the fault of others that her and Donn didn't stay together. She keeps acting like her supporting David and Shannon will help them stay together, and no one was supportive of her and Donn. Do what now? She is cracked.

David is the world's worst singer. And why do the Beadors not bring up therapy? I think they really do care for each other, but they've just gotten into a really bad rut and it can be hard to get out of. I think some outside help that would really behoove them.

No surprise the Judges failed at parenting. I'm glad Eddie is staying firm about "no babies". That is the last thing Tamra needs. Go fix your gym floors. Oh, and Cut is $149 per MONTH? Did I understand that correctly? Is that typical for that area? There's no way I would pay that much to work out with Teefs.

Wow, Heather is a truly shitty person for wanting to get a dog while in the rental, so he/she doesn't ruin their floors. Shitty, shitty, shitty. And did I hear them name one of the dogs Champers? As in champagne? Sigh....

I wonder if maybe all the opulence makes him uncomfortable. Does she have her own money that funds things? Maybe he feels emasculated if he works hard but she still uses family money to pay for a lot of stuff? Just spitballing, but I did think it was interesting that he mentioned it.

How stupid that Heather feels the need to placate the masses about not rescuing a dog. If she wants pure bred puppies it is her business and not something to feel bad about. She picked a breed of dogs that fit with her family. If more people did that, there would be a lot fewer dogs in rescue. I'm over that nonsense.

Thanks.  Great point on the rescue dogs.  I was a little ticked off here that Heather was getting so much flack for not wanting a rescue dog.  I've had pedigree German Shepherds my whole life.  I know their backgrounds, I know their temperaments, I know how to handle them.  I'll be damned if someone gives me a hard time for not getting a rescue dog.  If people aren't responsible enough to spay or neuter their pets why is it my responsibility to rescue the dogs.  Sure, rescuing dogs is fantastic.  All my cats are rescue cats but for dogs I'll stick with what I know.  I did have a rescue dog once and loved him dearly.  Unfortunately he got very attached to me and would snap and nip at anyone who came near me including my husband!  Why?  Who knows?  That's the problem...we don't know what his background was.  I have children as does Heather and I won't take a chance on that.  Also, I was lied to about his age.  They told me he was much younger than he was so when I brought him to the vet and the vet told me he was much older I was a little saddened because a short 2 years later he passed away and I was broken hearted.  But...on that note I admire the people who do adopt rescue dogs.  It's just not for everyone.

This is kind of a funny aside, but when Heather & Terry were finishing dinner after the kids were gone I couldn't help but notice that they left the best part of the artichoke (the heart) untouched at the table. So... Here you go, to get to the heart first turn the choke over and cut off the stem as close to bottom as you can then turn back over and remove any remaining leaves with a claw like hand grab.Next scoop out the thistles with a spoon, cut remaking heart into about four pieces and enjoy. It is like the "filet " of a steak.

I couldn't agree more. If you want to get pedigree dogs, fine, but then acknowledge it and stop feeling guilty. Instead she tried to have it both ways. "This ONE TIME we're getting pure breeds, but we've adopted shelter dogs in the past." I call b. s. on that. Rescue animals are either important to you, or they're not. If they are, then you don't "pass" on them and go the other route. And telling the world about your donation isn't showing where you stand - it's just showing off. Or showing your hypocritical values.

ETA: A caller on WWHL asked Heather about the dogs and told her that many shelters have hypo-allergenic dogs for rescue. Heather claimed she didn't know that. I don't believe her. I think she just wanted what she wanted.

Did Terry actually show up at the restaurant for the family dinner in his scrubs top?  What a douche!  How pathetic that he needs to make sure he gets in as many "I'm a surgeon" moments.  If he really has that many high end clients you wear a shirt and tie under the white jacket.  And you wear scrubs for procedures.  Which you then take off.  I would for someone like Terry to be told that scrubs were unacceptable attire in the dining room at whatever eatery they were famewhoring at.  Then when Terry tries to pull the "I'm an important surgeon" the wait person can screech in disgust "you mean you just did a vaginal reconstruction and didn't change!!!! You are disgusting.  And even more so for wearing used scrubs to a restaurant.

It is so clear that Heather is trying to elevate herself on both sides of the dog issue.  She is the patron saint of rescue dogs.  But gets pure breeds.  I'm a pure breed fan myself (German Shepherds too ramby!!  I do take on rescue dogs.  But only if I have two or more German Shepherds that the rescue gets along with.  It is amazing how quick the rescue can adjust if there are a couple of pack leaders to guide the way).   But Heather trying to go elitist with pure bred dogs while claiming saintdom for rescues was stupid.  What?  Does she pray for all the dogs that get euthanized because she didn't rescue them?

I am so over the Dubrows.  I hope the rest give her the same cold shoulder as Alexis which made filming problematic for the Bellinos.  I loathed them and am so thankful they are gone.  But the Dubrows can join them in obscurity.  Because even if Terry the Tool has that Botched show, Heather will be hell to live with if he has The Show and she is left scrambling to fill in on morning fluff shows and bit parts on staggering for ratings TVLand fare.

I wonder if Brooks feels jealous that Vicki keeps talking about her regrets in having ended her marriage.  She seems like she's pining over Donn and what once was.

Shannon seems far too self-centered to really understand what David is trying to say.  My impression of her is that she lacks gratitude in general, and, yes, she does seem to be unhappy much of the time.  It seems like she's trying to figure things out now, so hopefully it will all work out.

Speaking as a proud rescue mom, I think its Heather's business what type of dog she gets. She's under no obligation to get a rescue dog if that isn't what she and her family want.

I can't believe she was getting shit about it on Watch What Happens. Its nobodies business but her own where she gets her dogs.

I prefer Border Collies so I adopt from the rescue in my area and as somebody above pointed out, it can be risky to bring an adult dog into your home if you don't know their history. I only started rescuing after my kids were grown and moved out because I wouldn't take the chance on them being bitten by an unknown older dog. But I do have to point out that I've had only positive outcomes with my rescue dogs.

This has always been my thought. That very first party Tamra had where Shannon was complaining about David not spending time with her, they were salivating. Marital problems are like a mating call to them.

Since I have always seen them as "misery loves company" kind of gals, I was surprised that they welcomed Heather so warmly. I think that they can also be very impressed with wealth, and are more likely to be nice to gals that they don't feel any sexual competition with.

I completely agree with the poster up thread who would have liked to have seen what drama Danielle supposedly brought. If memory serves she is the one Tamra didn't like, so seeing more of her would've probably given Tamra more of a story line as well. This whole fake baby deal was just dumb. Isn't the whole point of this exercise to convince teenagers to use birth control so they won't have a real baby? Only Tamra would think that lugging around a screaming plastic baby would make Eddie long for a kid of his own. She is so dumb. I am surprised she didn't drive that piece of plastic over to her mom to take care of.

For the first time ever, on any franchise, I fast forwarded through a scene (I never do this unless I am watching for a second, third, or tenth time). I simply couldn't work up the energy to give a rats ass about anything Lizzie said. Most boring new addition ever.

If Crooks is Vickie's "Soul Mate", why does she keep talking about (free) Donn?

And Everything is Tamra's fault!  Brianna hates Crooks-Tamra's fault.

Vickie divorced Donn-Tamra's fault.

People are starving in Africa-Tamra's fault.

The list is endless.

Heather would have been better off not even bringing up the subject of rescue dogs. She should have just talked about adopting dogs for the family and not specified whether they would be rescue or papered dogs but I guess she HAD TO let the audience know that only pedigreed dogs would do for her. After all, only the best and most expensive for her! She can't be seen with a low class unpapered "common" dog from the pound. I did love when Terry called her out on it and she started to become defensive. God forbid anyone call her out on anything or criticize her.

I'm also so sick of her blathering on about how "crazy busy" she is (an expression I can't stand to begin with), how she's a "busy working mom".  What exactly does she do all day anyway? So far we've seen her guest star (I use the word star lightly) on two tv shows, one this year, one last year. That's one week of work each year. Now she's guest hosting on occasion on some morning show. How does this qualify as "crazy busy"? Not to mention she has a chef, nanny (probably had two nannies when the youngest was a baby) and housekeeper. What is she so "crazy busy" doing - shopping, lunching, manicures, getting botox, fillers and plastic surgery that make her look like a caricature? I rolled my eyes at her complaining that SHE would be the one who ends taking care of the dogs. More likely she will hire a dog walker/dog sitter. And her comment about changing diapers and having to deal with feces for the last ten years. Girlfriend, please! You had a nanny to deal with poopy diapers. My guess is those dogs don't last at the Dubrow house. They'll be too messy for Heather to deal with in the long run.

To quote Seinfeld's mom in one of her episodes, "I hate her like poison".

So true

I think the reason Vicki and Tamra like Shannon is because she is so miserable.

Nothing like someone else's misery to make you feel better about your own lot in life.

So true

I really don't know what she was thinking. That baby made them both miserable, and it didn't come with any of the positive benefits of a real baby. A real baby coos and smiles at you and grabs your finger, and warms your heart. Babysitting a friend's baby might have done something for her, but who in their right mind would allow Tamballs to babysit their infant???

No kidding. If Crooks was actually genuinely invested in the relationship (which I am extremely doubtful of) he might be quite offended to hear all of her THs, moaning about the one who got away. Vicky has never once said, to my recollection, that her and Donn simply weren't right for each other or grew apart or something. She's acting like they COULD have made things work if they had supportive friends and family, and she didn't nag.

Amazing how so many things in the Seinfeld episodes fit.

She did admit to "shoving the baby into the couch cushions" on the first night.  Friggin fabulous parenting, Tamballs.  And she is too dumb to realize how badly this makes her look while she has been complaining about her parenting time being cut down to 50%.  Ignorant fool.

Having endured way too much time with Astro the robot baby I think Tamra got her end result-no children with Eddie.  The idea of a robot baby is to show the purchaser how difficult parenting will be.  So if you are trying to convince someone to have a baby why get a screaming crying mess?  I think Tamra got exactly what she wanted-Eddie deciding against fatherhood.  Way to go Eddie with the $30,000.00 flooring mistake.  How is these two are breaking even when Eddie doesn't work at an outside job and they have a screwed up floor?  I hope Tamra received extra dollars for her selling out Shannon.  Sounds like they need the money.

I just can't with Heather and Terry.  If the family has dinner two nights a week at home and two nights a week in a restaurant-what do they do the other three nights?  I really didn't care if they adopted a rescue dog or a non-rescue dog-why draw attention to their own hypocrisy?  I find it hard to believe that Heather passed on the Beador marital strife without an ounce of malice.  Just another instance of Heather's totally unbelievable reality.  I am sure she also didn't mention Shannon screaming at her during the holiday party to the other luncheon guests in a negative way either.

Shannon and David-I get the impression David wasn't quite ready for children and has done his best to involve himself in their lives through coaching.  As a coach it does take some time away from Shannon and it does make her sound bitchy to complain about where he spends his free time.  For the first time in a long time on the RH franchises last night's Shannon and David conversation seemed quite real.  Painful but real.

I ran across this story that has a sidebar about Vicki and Brooks http://www.breathecast.com/articles/real-housewives-of-orange-county-news-shannon-beador-seeks-divorce-advice-from-vicki-gunvalson-video-16977/  I t seems the relationship guru's relationship has hit a snag.

No wonder Vicki is waxing poetically about her marriage to Donn.  http://radaronline.com/exclusives/2014/07/vicki-gunvalson-divorce-amendment/  Maybe Donn draws the line at $95,000.00.

Brianna had her baby a week early 4th of July.  Apparently, Vicki wasn't there for the delivery.

Just snack on onion rings?

It wouldn't surprise me if Brianna planned an early induction, but played it off as a fluke, to prevent her mother from being there. Vicky is one of the last people I'd want in L&D with me.

I get the feeling that David just doesn't like the fancy lifestyle they live. He grew up blue collar. She has old money. He has talked about the kids and their lessons and cotillion etc. Just seems he is uncomfortable in his own life. And on top of that he has a wife that nags him every chance she gets.

There was a moment of sheer bliss for me last night while watching this episode. It was when Eddie looked directly at Ryan and asked "what else here sucks and isn't worth the money?" It was so obviously a challenge and Ryan backed down so quickly. In that moment, I really liked Eddie.

As for Tamra, I just can't with her. Way to re-write history there Tamra. When Eddie said that he wanted kids way back before they married, Tamra's response was that she needed another kid like a hole in her head. So, she can lose me with the fake crying over not having a child with Eddie.
