In a show with excess, expensive and newness , it was shocking to see an old-school tv in the kitchen...

Jackie break off a couple of hundred and get Poppi a flat screen...

Joe is talking about Juicy like he is dying, "you have to let him go," "you have to tell him it is okay to go."

It is a way.. it is a death.. death of a daddy who will always be physically there.

The girls need to understand, and in times they will, Juicy will always be their father. He is just thousands of miles away.

Gia is confusing me.. Gia seems to have forgotten and/or forgiven how Juicy was while Tre was serving time... drinking, cussing, argumentative, just unpleasant to be around... I don't remember every moment being "lovable".

Prison - federal or not - changes a person.. And of course when someone is locked up and  you see them on visits - they are the most lovable person there is.

Gia really doesn't know what kind a father (or man) he will be. I actually would like to see how Juicy handles fatherhood away , but free. You still can be in your children's lives even if you don't live with them.

This isn't a slow season at all--

Melissa is making steak!  Dolores is looking at lighting!  Dolores's parents may or may not have had breakfast, and Nonno is seeing the doctor, but later in the week 😌

Jen spends so much time on her apperance.  Usually moms like that have kids that are put together.  I wish for Gabby's sake she'd just get her a good haircut.  It's odd.

Margaret has a boat in her front yard--classy.  She is putting so much pressure on Marty.  It's really inappropriate.  She would never approach Teresa that way.  Why is ok for Marty--cause he's a guy?  Cause he can't/won't ruin her?  That's taking advantage in my book.

Teresa has such a fugly walk. Danielle is such a creepy drinker.  Whenever she takes a sip, she stares at a person like she's seducing them.  OMG, please let Danielle move in with Teresa--they both deserve it so much.  I just wouldn't wish it on the kids.

Gia loses credibility when she uses hyperbole, like saying her dad is stuck in a "two by two" with five people.  If she would actually get the data on the size of her dad's cell, I'd be so much more willing to listen to her.  I love little Audriana.  I'm not sure about Gia suddenly becoming a surrogate mother to her though.  I think Gia has had serious control issues for awhile, and this could spin out of control.  It's just a vibe I get.

Is Joe dying of cancer or...potentially being deported to Italy?

I don't find Frankie Jr attractive.  Way too muscly, and not lean.  I am so tired of the hijinx between Dolores, Frank and David.  What a fucking snooze.

JoeGo, you know, they make that shirt in adult sizes too.  He was good in this episode though.  Being funny, kind and appropriate.  Not one joke about releasing his poison.

I thought Melissa's storyline these past few years was supposed to be women's lib.  Why did she only call the girls to clear the table while the boys just sat there? That was gross.

Holy shit, Teresa, if the kid is old enough to ask, she's old enough to know.

Jackies loves to meddle in everyone's life, but shares very little of her own.  The feud with her sister was never really explained.  There seems to be little interaction with her husband, who barely says anything.  Margaret claims that Jackie has a great sense of humor, is very generous and warm.  I have yet to see that person.

I was wondering if Papa Gorga was trying some home remedy with the hot sauce, he definitely didn’t look well. I did a very cursory Google search and can’t find hot sauce as a home remedy for breathing troubles.

I think it’s a mistake to try and keep a big family secret from a nine year old. They hear the whispers and the suddenly stopped conversations and they know something bad is being kept from them. It’s better to explain, even awful news, I’m age appropriate terms.

No matter what juicy has done (and he didn't murder anyone) he's still the girls' father and of course they're going to remember the good times with him, as they should. I found the whole easter dinner very sad and my heart goes out to those kids. There's a lot of criticism of Gia here I have to disagree with. She's grown up with two parents who each in their own way have forced her to be the adult in the family.

I love that they are so caring for Nona (or Nono - whatever). He doesn't look well and hope he gets the help he needs. I'm also glad that Joe G is trying to talk sense into them to cut their financial losses and let him go to Italy.

Other than that - this was a pretty boring episode.

Well, this is the Gorgas we're talking about...you don't have to be literally dead for them to consider you figuratively dead to them lol

I was glad to see one of Melissa’s boys help clear the table even though she only asked the girls to help.

Wait, Joe G approved of that? Joe G letting his son do "women's work"? My my, the times, they are a-changing...

Actually hot peppers are said to help opening airways in asthma sufferers, so it probably  is an old home remedy.

Welp it's a sad, sad day for me when Joe "poison" Gorga gives me the feels.  And I agree with him. Teresa could buy 2 freakin pools with the money she will save in legal fee's. I do feel bad for the girls though.

IDK but I think if I drank hot sauce right out of the bottle I would have trouble breathing too. I see where Teresa gets her brain power from.

Good of Joe to remind us what an absolute piece of shit is even in his limited voice appearance, I can’t believe he blamed Teresa for him not becoming a citizen. Even worse he made me fill a smidge of sympathy for Teresa and that pisses me off!

ITA.

And when was Tre supposed to make the call to a lawyer from him to become a citizen - after 3 yrs of marriage?  And what was the lawyer supposed to do - tell them to go to a website or to an governmental office in their community , and issue another bill to pay  ?

This goes back to the question-point - what kind of relationship will/could Tre and Juicy have if the court decision was he could stay in the US. If Audrianna was Gia/Gabriella age, could/should they still live as husband and wife, under one roof - perhaps.  Can they work through what happened to them in the last 5 yrs - not sure. It is evident on both sides , there are deep, deep wounds, scars, interal stress, and bitterness b/w the two.

Tre more so than Juicy is holding onto to the good ole days, what it was, what they had. But at some point - they have to look at what it IS. Yes - they will always have the children (who are getting older every day), some feelings and a love for each other - but when anger comes out, it can be very, very ugly.

Yeah, something is misfiring in his head, I always wondered why Theresa would let him drive her girls around and use the stove when she is not there.  He drank the hot sauce then was having a hard time breathing and was beat red...no alarms went off in Joe or Theresa's heads like he may have congestive heart failure and is retaining fluid in his lungs?

Theresa just keeps bating her kids and father with the all the "Joe is missing this or that holiday" or asking her youngest about how much she misses her daddy, pullleeeesssee! She is practically begging for an emotional response for TV.  She did the same thing to her father and kids after her mother died.

I really want lamb chops now.

When Jackie's father popped the tape in the VCR, (proof that he throws nothing away, lol) and showed Jackie when she was heavy I had a flash on the Friends episode that highlighted Monica's weight journey, I swear it was almost scene for scene, the footage of the prom, Dad snarking about how big she was...life imitating art?

Don't you mean "ingrediences"?! 🤣

I'm not going to lie... I went to the fridge to see what the hell is in hot sauce. Not to say every thing in my fridge is "clean" but if the hot sauce had alcohol (or God forbid some other kind of substance), to the point one could get a buzz , I would be getting a different brand.

As far as peppers - Nonno has access to the best brands/varieties of peppers the area has to offer - so there is no need to sneak. Someone on the episode -was cooking a pan full of peppers. Plus NJ is the garden state and he seems to find peace in cooking. Going to an international market to find pepper variation should be an easy thing to do - now that he has his driving privileges.

Maybe we need a spinoff - "The Real Grandparents of NJ..."

Who else was disgusted at the Giudice scene?

The entire thing was surreal!

These people are sitting in their formal dining room with a fireplace taller than me.....with food to feed an entire village wanting sympathy!

They are talking to Joe on their iPhone....passing it around.....crying and crying!

The man is in a Deportation Center!

Gia was wearing a bunch of Cartier jewelry .......on her way to college.

They are like....poor Joe.  POOR US!!!!

Still not taking any blame for anything.

FFS......Yall STOLE a million dollars to pay for that house!

Then tried to write off 5 million dollars in a fraudulent bankruptcy.

Never paid taxes!

Actually, filed fake tax returns (with Teresa’s signatures) to get fake bank loans.

The irony of it all.....the man who took the fall for everything......wont have any access to it! Deported!

Separated from his greedy family........enjoying his stolen loot!  🤣

I hope Joe gets a lifetime ban from USA.

They really deserve an Emmy!  All of them!  Charlatans!

Especially, the crazy Nono with his burning gums! 😘🌶

Jens kids look very unkempt. And they need better nutrition if they are already overweight at this age.

Teresa has a fugly  walk and it doesn't matter how fit she is, her bottom half looks like Miss Piggy.

Yeah Gia, we have no sympathy for you dad or you or any of you for that matter. Sure, the kids are going through something, dad will be far away. But, your parents deserve it and you will get through it. Hopefully your p.o.s. mother will spring for some therapy. At least you have parents, they aren't dead, none of you are orphans.  And guess what?! When you are rich and privileged, it really does help with the sorrow! At least you don't have to worry about paying the bills, having enough food and a place to live etc.

In situations like this, I see all the expensive jewelry and furniture and whatnot as window dressing.  These are still real people, and as the above post points out, Joe, who committed so many crimes in order to have wealth, will no longer have access to any of it.  And as the saying goes, you can't take it with you.

Did Joe and Teresa deserve to be convicted?  Absolutely.  Is Joe getting what he deserves to get for failing to become a citizen on top of breaking the law?  Absolutely.  Is Teresa in total denial of these facts?  Absolutely.  Does she drive me nuts?  Absolutely.  But they all still have feelings, especially the kids.  Gia and Gabriella likely understand all the ins and outs of the entire situation and why everything is happening as it is, but he's still their dad, and they love him, as they should.  Gia may be 18 and in college now, but she's still young - while she's at that age where she thinks she knows everything (and didn't we ALL know everything at 18?? I know I did!  LOL), she's still emotionally a kid, and she's hurting.  All of them are.  It doesn't matter who was at fault for what - they're kids, and they miss their dad, and I think on some level, Teresa and Joe do feel bad that the girls are having to go  through it.

It doesn't matter how wealthy you are or what material possessions you own - this kind of thing is painful, no matter what.  I'm 48, and I have everything I need, and I'd still be heartbroken if that was my dad.

"The camera adds ten pounds!"

"How many cameras were on you?"

It was pretty funny watching Melissa dabbing her dry eyes with her napkin.

Melissa HATES Joe Gu so much, she is loving this.  Remember when he called her a raccoon??  HAHA that is the Joe I actually love.

It doesn't matter how wealthy you are or what material possessions you own - this kind of thing is painful, no matter what.  I'm 48, and I have everything I need, and I'd still be heartbroken if that was my dad.

But it is different when the REASON they have all of those things is because they are thieves!  He is in prison because they just HAD to have all of those things.

I felt bad for everyone.  I know, Joe made his bed and everything happening to him is his fault and that's all totally true.   I know all of that.  However on a human level I still felt for them.  If I do something that I know is wrong I understand I have to pay the consequences, but I am still allowed to have feelings about it and so are they.  It was sad.  I did laugh at Nonno drinking the hot sauce though.  Like what?!  What the hell was that, lol.

Jackies dad looks like a nightmare.  I still don't like her.  I liked her son saying she looked pretty in the video (or was it her daughter?).  I don't think she should be talking about all her food issues with her kids.

On the other hand, it's wrong that Teresa is keeping Audriana in the dark.  I mean, she's nine.  She's not four.  She knows something is going on, but she doesn't know what.  In my experience, that type of secrecy doesn't make for good memories, it only makes the child feel very insecure.

Yes I agree that Audriana should be told what's what. She asked if her dad was going to be deported and of course in Teresa's usual fashion, she lied to her! Audriana wants to know, and she will find out. She goes to school. People talk. She's going to be pissed at Teresa when she finds out the truth about Joe and all the while knowing that her mother lied to her. Teresa just cannot help herself.

I thought Melissa's storyline these past few years was supposed to be women's lib.  Why did she only call the girls to clear the table while the boys just sat there? That was gross.

I was ready to get up in arms about that too, but then I noticed one of the boys carrying a tureen from the table, so I wondered if maybe she was just instructing the kids who weren't already helping -- all of whom happened to be girls?  Maybe?  I'm probably expecting too much from this show, but I can dream...

Let’s see - Jackie, with her father, was sneaking into a casino with false ID while Delores’ father was Chief of Police in Paterson. And people wonder why Delores says they were raised differently?

Well, it's not like Paterson PD hasn't had its own misinterpretations of the law over the years.

Yeah Gia, we have no sympathy for you dad or you or any of you for that matter.

I actually do have a lot of sympathy for the girls, as I would any children who were separated from a parent.  None of this is their doing.

Joe Gorga trying to be "dad" sort of makes me feel sorry for him. He just comes off as so dumb. He always has a surprised look on his face which I don't understand. It just makes him seem so dopey. Don't get me started on Melissa. Her feeble attempts to sympathize with her husband and care about Joe Gorga are also hard to watch. Teresa may not be the greatest in verbal expression, but her instincts regarding Melissa are spot on IMO.

Melissa and Jackie, IMO get along because they think they are better than everyone, and have in-tact families.

Teresa and her kids together are wonderful. She's got some very sweet, loving kids. Gia is a real care taker.
