Chase wanting his brother to donate sperm is gross.

I understand that infertility can be a difficult issue for couples, but, Dang! Enough already! STFU! The only thing even marginally interesting about the story is tracking his shifting motivation  -- from "I don't have any swimmers and I'm devastated" to "I'm devastated because now you can't have the experience of having a baby (gag -- because we know that's all a woman wants)," to "I understand adopted kids can be family," to "I want my own DNA in the baby so let's have Finn donate sperm." Writers, you've covered most of the bases. What's their next story line?

,

Did we ever find out if he has none or if it's just a low count? Soap wise, it'd make more sense for it to be a low count so he can have a fling that creates an illicit baby in the future.

And Willow grows more and more stupid.  If she thought about it for a millisecond she'd question why Jason, of all people, would say Drew, of ALL PEOPLE, was his alibi if it wasn't true.

Not to mention that it's been drilled into everyone that Jason never lies. Willow has lost all critical thinking skills. Drew has literally fucked her senseless.

The more I see Chase the more he looks and sounds like a puppy with a brand new toy. His brother is an ADDICT! And he really thinks it’s a good idea to ask him to be the sperm donor?

Also, that line "Think about how great Violet is! Wouldn't you want to have a daughter like her?" was weird. I guess I get what he meant, although it pushes to the side poor Rebecca Budig's role in Violet's greatness, but it sounded almost as if they were talking about what kind of puppy to get. "Our friends have a blue heeler, and he's great!"

In other news, these scenes with Josslyn and NuBrennan are making me wonder if Josslyn is now as bad as Courtney at her worst. And there's far less chance of Josslyn getting demoted to B/C-plots and then getting written out.

A point for Laura Wright: that delivery of "Wake up!" to Willow was savage. I've heard Carly yell a lot over the years, but I don't think I've ever heard her voice sound like that.

Just because Violet is a good kid doesn't mean Chase and BL's kid would be. Think of siblings with the same parents: They aren't carbon copies of one another. Even identical twins differ in temperament.

I, too, get what Chase meant, but he's also an idiot.

IKR? And Willow just looked at her like, Huh? I guess kudos to Katelyn MacMullen for how she's showing how brainwashed Willow is, but as a viewer it's super aggravating.

I thought she did a really good job at that, too.  There was a moment, right after Jason pointed out that he would be stupid to try to use Drew as a fake alibi, because Drew would never lie for him, where it looked like Willow was having a moment of confusion, like she knew Jason was making sense. But it was like that thought couldn't fully surface, and then Drew's lies and Carly going at Willow combined to push that defiant thought down, and she ended up asking Drew to get her out of there, and then agrees to move in with him.

I really hope this eventually leads to her getting some therapy and examining her past in the cult and how she may have escaped the cult, but she hasn't escaped being a bit like a cult member still.

I'm wondering if the writers have pivoted, because we are really not seeing anything there to find romantic or rootable.

Plus he just lied to her, but she can be herself with him, whatever that looks like.

Where in the hell was this version of Martin, shark lawyer, when the SEC storyline was happening? But I get it, only Carlys can win.

Sonny's hair was distracting. And him offering to drive anyone anywhere when he was dropping anvils about his heart was not cool.

So Joss is off on her first WSB mission, told her mommy that she was going to Easter Island because a grad student dropped out of the trip and Carly bought it. Meanwhile Brennan is smiling about all the gushing being heaped on Joss. Carly will scratch your eyes out, castrate you and wear your balls as a necklace when she finds out.

Someone please make the Brook Lynn/Chase baby story stop.  It's repetitive and making both Brook Lynn and chase look stupid.  How is Anonymous sperm donor better then Uncle-who-wanted-to-help?  Given how Leo is brother to both Sam and Dante, I think that Violet will be able to handle any confusion. At least with Finn, they get a medical history and the possibility of an organ donation if they need one.

Oh joy, Lulu is obsessing about Charlotte again. Another arc I want them to end.

Brennan clearly does not know Carly if he thinks she is such a fragile flower that he has to protect her from Sidwell.

At least that was true. All the other reasons he gave -- that she's smart and emotionally controlled and can handle herself in danger -- were lies.

I don't think that should be a deal breaker. Alexis is an addict and she's got 2 grandkids. Everyone has bad genes in the family, you work around it. (Before I accepted my husband's proposal, I checked to see if there were heart problems or near-sightedness in his family because they are a big problem in mine. He said 'no', so I said Let's do it. Then I find out that his father died of a series of heart attacks and his cousins all wear glasses.)

After today's episode   I'm wondering if the whole Joss/WSB thing is more about giving Eden an out for whatever reason. Whenever Tony Geary would go on summer break, the stories were so dumb, and we would complain why they hadn't thought of something better since his departure always had some lead time. So, if it's just going to be "Joss is gone on a school trip to wherever, good for her" and we never actually see Joss working as an agent but she's just offscreen, then it could just be the story needed to cover a temporary exit on the actress' behalf.

There was definetely a look of "wait a minute" but then Drew started talking and she lost it.  Almost like she's so dumb she can't keep the correct thought in her head once the puppet master starts talking.

Did he not do a background check on her? Another dumbo in law enforcement.

"Why am I here?" Sonny barks at the mayor, his dear friend Laura Collins. Why can't he drop dead of a heart attack? I'm so tired of Sonny rubbing his chest and looking vaguely dyspeptic.

Lois, you don't ask a stranger to be a sperm donor, you go to a bank and choose someone who's already gone through testing and the legalities.

Ugh, it's bad enough Lulu can't shut up about Charlotte, but now she's likely to do something stupid to look at Martin's records on Valentin? STAHP.

I kinda wish they would write off the character of Willow.  She'd make for  great murder mystery followed by revenge plots.

Not a big fan of killing off the women after Michael's done with them.  Bad implications.  Honestly, Katelyn MacMullen seems to have some talent, I just wish they'd let her tell Willow's actual story: A brainwashed cult survivor who escaped only to develop an unhealthy attachment to a child that wasn't hers and was then used and manipulated by powerful men for their own reasons as she struggles to reconnect to the only family she has.

Very true! Also, having an alcoholic or drug addict as a parent doesn't mean it's inevitable their child will be one.

Asking Finn to be a sperm donor is not the worst idea nor is it radical esp. given how much Chase cherishes the memories of their dad.   I read a story about a gay married couple who wanted a biological family. Let's call them Husband A and Husband B. Husband A provided the sperm, Husband B's sister was the egg donor, and a female relative of one of the husbands was the surrogate.

If we don't see Joss in Easter Island, then this may be why. It also a way of explaining any WSB training that Joss.

I called it months ago that this would be like Alias where Joss goes around the world wearing pretty clothes and a bunch of different fabulous wigs.

I will no longer call Joss Girl Detective.

She is now GirlSpy.

I know it is bluff but it is extremely shitty of threatening to mess up with the Q crypt were many of the beloved Qs are resting and if Drew is totally okay with that it is a pretty petty, petty move.

BTW was Oscar placed in the family crypt?

Carly was awfully excited about Joss going to Easter Island.  Does she think Joss is going to bring her back a giant Easter Island Head statue covered in chocolate  and filled with marshmallow?

Silly question.  Of course she does.

Even sadder, Joss would be expecting to find those there, too.

Next I bet we'll hear she's hot on the trail of finally finding out where in the world Carmen Sandiego is.

At this point, would whatever entity is in charge really mess with property lines? It sounds like whatever the encroachment is doesn't affect anything—there's nothing on the other side, as it were, except land leading to the lake. I feel like possession is nine-tenths of the law would apply here.

But that's using logic. Sorry, I forgot what show I was writing about. At least Tracy called Martin's bluff. She should have more influence than Drew, but again, that's using logic.

I wanna say that he was cremated and his ashes were scattered at Mount Kilimanjaro. But this version of Drew would not care about Oscar.

I did like Martin's delivery of the line about poor Edward and Lila and how they would be exhumed and buried elsewhere.

They put him through the wood chipper as compost for Oscar's Meadow.

GH Wiki

Quote

he was cremated and on May 10-13, his ashes were poured over a meadow in Rice Park that he liked which was named "Oscar's Meadow". At the same time, his loved ones gathered for a celebration of his life including speeches, pictures, and they ended the ceremony by throwing seeds of flowers in the air together for a future garden.

I only recall the throwing of seeds.  I don't remember them dumping ashes, which I would think would be illegal in a public park, but I supposed people do it anyway.  (Didn't they dump Gregory in the park, near his bench?)

my parents had that property border thing -- the person who owned their house  before them built part of the patio and wall onto the neighbour next door. The solution was that every couple of  years they had to write a letter acknowledging that their wall was on the other property. When it was sold, I think the next owners had to take on the responsibility.

Isn’t Joss doing some sort of training first? I would hope that agents get more instruction than a tongue bath by the head of the organization.

Brennan told Joss that he would train her so I presume that the Easter island trip is the cover for wherever she is.

Do these people really believe that Joss, who has been studying environmental science for all of one year, would be asked to replace a graduate student on a field research? It's Joss, so that was a rhetorical questions

That was some great facial acting by JJ when Kristina said to Lucky that Ava's swanning around after putting "three people in the ground including my daughter." Lucky, hit the patient in distress call button.  Hey Kristina, your beloved dad has killed way more than three people, either by his own hand or Jason's. She should be on the ground, gasping for air from choking on the hypocrisy of her words.

Is the Show still keeping Noted Bigot Natalia around because of wanting more storyline for Carlos Rota's character?

Olivia sure changed her tune about Sasha having sex now that everyone thinks the baby is Jason's. Ugh.

As for Sasha, why is she surprised the Qs are smothering her? She's known them long enough to know how they feel about family babies. This is a foreseeable reaction.

Has it even been a year? I feel like Joss switched her major at the end of the last semester.

When did Ava become so stupid as to approach Sonny when he's with Kristina? His agitation didn't even result in him dropping dead from a heart attack, so it was even more of a mistake.

When did Lucy become so stupid that she's ignoring all of the red flags people keep waving in her face about Sidwell?

The plot-point writing on this show is so rampant.

I had to laugh at how quickly Sonny changed the subject from Jason not killing Cyrus to the dumb docks stuff: "Okay, enough about your little problems; you're here to talk about mine."

Maybe Deception can go to Ukraine for their rare minerals. I hear a certain deal with that country fell through today.

When Sasha said Monica was pushing sweaters on Sasha, I was hoping the package she had was going to be a photo of Jason Q in one of his preppy looks.

I know it's not an easy decision, but I think given the importance of the Quartermaines right now, I wish they would have recast Monica instead of what seems to be the "she's getting frailer" route.

So we have Sasha, pregnant by a Quartermaine and wanting to avoid Q interference in her life, deciding to throw off suspicion by picking another Quartermaine to name as the father.  Also complaining incessantly about the interest shown by said family, who also happen to be her employers for her live-in job.  And who had the nerve to give her a baby gift.  Right.

Then we have Jenz Sidwell, roaming free despite having kidnapped/assaulted/attempted to kill multiple PC residents, including the police commissioner, the ex-wife of the DA and the son of the mayor, each of whom can identify him and testify against him. Right.

And we have Lucky, twiddling his thumbs in his hospital bed, bored because he apparently has no access to his phone, reading materials or a TV.  Maybe GH needs a fundraiser.  Right.

This show is so stupid.

It's kind of a stupid cover story, something that will draw attention.  La Femme Joss could just say she's going to Cleveland and no one will care. Are they going to supply badly photoshopped pictures (Because you know people will want to see pics!) of Joss in front of the moai too?

Trina: Easter Island!  So cool! You got to see the moai up close!

I feel like they're sort of having it both ways. Monica is too frail to come downstairs—Yuri would carry her to the living room in a minute!—yet she's well enough to keep up to date on the goings on and scroll through sites for a green, gender-neutral baby sweater.

I agree, that bothers me too.  Too many assumptions by these people who should have long since launched a major search for a serial killer until or unless he was proven dead.

So noted bigot Natalia is on board with her ex not only supplying deception with this rare mineral they need, but taking a financial stake in the company? And how exactly is Sonny going to feel about that? Or you know, Tracy? Remember her? The majority shareholder, whom no one consulted.

that scene at Bobbie’s was ridiculous. Sonny clutched his chest for a good five minutes and yet not one single person noticed? I kept hoping he’d collapse in a heap and the staff would have to sweep him up.speaking of that scene, isn’t anyone who purportedly loves Kristina going to get that girl some therapy? Preferably in a padded cell? Even if Ava really did kill the baby, all this anger is going to end up killing Kristina. And while that might not be a bad thing for viewers, it would be bad for her family.

Hey Sasha, if you don’t want the Qs fussing over your baby, maybe you shouldn’t have toLd them it’s Jason’s.

Sasha doesn't get to talk bad about Monica when lying to her face. Same with Jason, he's ok yet again lying to her face.

Now Sasha sees   Willow pov on the kids? Wasn't Sasha part of keeping the kids from her in the first place then ran to the hospital to tattle take Willow was trying to take HER kids.

Carly is ok with a woman who may be pregnant with Jason's kid?

Molly's issue is that mommy and daddy fought? Not her  deadbeat dad who was going to war over Ava and Sonny and her sister?

Sasha was all in on the Q's sticking their noses into Willow's business and trying to keep her kids away from her, but now she understands how rough things must have been for Willow because Monica bought her a freaking baby gift?  And she can't be so stupid that she hasn't noticed before now that, despite his unwillingness to have the title, Jason is the golden child. Did she think that everyone would back off if they think Jason is the baby daddy?  Especially Monica?  She was just involved in all of the "we can't take Monica's great-grandchildren away from the house" shenanigans, and she didn't foresee Monica wanting to dote all over Jason's incoming spawn?  I feel like every single thing about Sasha these days just serves as confirmation that Michael's sperm makes you stupid.

Ava, come on. Why are you poking the bear?  Do you want to torpedo this new uneasy peace you've managed to get to with Sonny?

And I know Lucy values wealth and all, and she is looking for money for Deception, but how often have we seen her go on about how Deception is her baby, and how important it is to her?  And she's just going to ignore all the warnings about Sidwell and let her company be tied to him?  She's not going to do a lick of her own research? Not going to go talk to Lucky, maybe?  Get his side of the story?  Nothing?
