Carlin and Evan: But Mostly Carlin!

I just looked at Carlin's stories, and the bit with Evan was shot like a parody, so yeah, I don't think he gave Layla the root beer (or at least I hope he didn't). I noticed Carlin making a huge deal out of Layla eating blueberries, so I wonder if people have commented about the kid's horrid diet? 

Also, noticeable was Erin's absence *yet again* from what appeared to be a boutique strategy meeting. The busybody in me really wants to know what the deal is. Erin's always dolled up in full hair and makeup on her Instagram, so there's no way she's still sick to the point that she can't participate. It seems weird to be pushing prayer cards if you're part of a business that is successful enough to enable your SIL to purchase a 17-acre farm. I wonder if Carlin and Whitney had a knack for running the show, and between covid and everything else, Erin sort of got pushed to the side?

I don’t remember exactly when they moved to the new building, but Erin “decorated” the area where they do the photo shoots.  It seemed that she was still showing up occasionally. But the past few months? Nothing. It’s very odd.

Carlin and Whit now have a VERY exclusive cliquey bestie vibe. I do wonder if covid caused Erin to sit out for a while and they kept running the business; then she didn't come back in 2 wks as she was sicker longer and I could see besties Carlin and Whit eye rolling a bit bc they had covid too and bounced right back; then she has her surgery/baby issues and needed time to recover from that and possibly also had some depression issues with that when she learned they were done with the babies so she stayed out further. And Carlin and Whit are now so cliquey that they're giving her the vibe of -- what do we need YOU for -- while passively aggressively saying "oh no you take whatever time you need, we got this" and Erin kind of feels like how do I re-enter this??

And possibly Erin is offended if she notices how cliquey they are, so she's like fine I'll just take my toys and go and make scripture cards, you guys can call me when some part of this store needs decorating - which it really won't now as it's all set though I suppose at some point they could re-paint or change up the look.

And while that video of Evan throwing an uncrustable to Layla and filling her bottle with root beer was totally staged, I think I have seen (only once) a bottle of soda + I def know I've seen a bottle of chocolate milk. I seriously don't understand why they keep introducing her to crap food. Like all kids discover it and that's all they want, don't HELP THEM discover it and don't make it available to them?? If she gets a taste of soda or chocolate milk from her grandparents or millions of aunts/uncles, ok but don't hand her bottles of it when you're in charge - not even one time!?

First slide I was thinking, hmm, not sure what's wrong with jeans, then by the second slide, OMG! What is the point of those. Just put the kid in shorts. Those pants are bonkers on a baby (or anyone). I know ripped jeans are a thing again, but there should be more pant to hole ratio. The holes should not dominate.

I'm so confused. The baby announcement photo shoot was at . . . Target? With Carlin sitting in a cart and also C&E sitting on the FLOOR of TARGET!? WTH?? That's gross. And while we know that their means of keeping kid #1 fed is throwing her doritos and cheetos, did we need to photograph how important those foods are in their lives? 

So I guess after the ONE month where she tested and was -, they got it done the following month. Yet to see her crying after that one negative you'd think she was told, no more kids. These two idiots can't even handle one kid without being in Nashville every other weekend so grandma can deal with her, good luck with two. Hope this kid is better looking than the first . . . .

I guess it was inevitable.  And for the average family, a 2 year spacing between babies is perfectly normal.  But with this bunch you just don't know where it is going to end.  

Sure, we can hope that if this one is a boy they will stop.  But then Layla will NEED a sister, or new baby will NEED a brother, or if it is another girl Evan NEEDS a son, and on and on it goes. 

I guess it is just hammered into them from an early age and none of them have the critical thinking skills and courage to say, "No, I don't want a big family".  While I doubt any of them will go the Gil and Kelly route and have 19, it looks like they will all have larger than average families.

I think the junk food in the cart was supposed to show that she is having cravings.  They do fancy themselves as being witty.

I just watched the video on YouTube. She had Layla in the store with her when she was buying the test and kept asking her if she was excited. A baby herself. Sounded just like Alyssa. Then a big agony over how to tell Evan. Before dinner or after? Wished viewers could help her decide how to surprise him. He hasn't noticed that they've been shtupping? If they only have 5-6 kids that’s a small family in their world. I’m guessing the push for a bigger house is coming next, their current place is pretty small.

I just watched the video too.  Interesting, at the end Evan called her and was talking about stopping to get the tags for the car because "Monday will be August already".  I guess they knew a while ago but waited for the US story to publicize it.

So timelines are all doctored.  Based on what Evan said, and since she said she was testing early, I figure a late April /early May baby.

I did not really follow Carlin when she was pregnant with Layla, but did she have bad morning sickness for that pregnancy?  Because, holy cow, they are at Evan’s parents and she is just on the couch with her “sickness survival kit”.  Looks like she has some sort of prescription- my daughter-in-law had severe nausea all day long and she did take something for it. 
I get it.  It sucks.  But I just feel she is playing it up for the cameras.

ETA: Finishing up today’s stories with a shot of her throwing up into a bag on the way home. 🙄

Oh please tell me she did not post a pic of that! 😨 As someone with emetophobia, that's not only disgusting, but TMI.  Sounds like she should have just kept her ass on her own couch at home.  Let Evan take care of Layla for the weekend if "morning sickness" is that severe.

I'm almost afraid to ask who took the picture.  Is it now in the fundie modern world a good husband or sister who you turn to in such a moment and say, "Quick hold my hair and take my phone while I hurl?"  But then I assume Evan was driving, and Layla is too little to play photographer to mommy's celebrity fetish....yet. Has Carlin mastered the art of holding the bag and snapping a selfie at the same time?

Evan took the photo.  She tagged him.  I assume (and really hope) he pulled over first. But I like @PEANUT6711's scenario a lot better! 😄

On today’s story Carlin takes Layla to BSB where Whit and Zac and looks like an employee are filling orders for shipping. No sign of Erin. And who watches Zac & Whit’s 4 kids? Isn’t one practically a newborn? Do they home school? I’m guessing Addie or Ellie babysit, but don’t they have school? I’m sure KJ is flitting around with Gil so you know neither one of them is babysitting or homeschooling.

I think Erin is done with the boutique. Whitney and Carlin are there all the time. For as much as Carlin posts stories from the warehouse, surely Erin would've been spotted at some point?

Eta: so I just watched Carlin's stories and I most definitely think Erin is done. Carlin has been struggling with bad morning sickness and Whit looked exhausted. There's no way they'd be okay with Erin gestating on her lily pad while they bag and ship the 200+ orders that came in over the weekend. 

Layla was really cute helping with the packages.

It seems like the business is doing really well, I'm happy for them.

Carlin is so stupid it's painful. They were headed to a high risk OB today. She's apparently seeing a high risk OB and that one wanted her to see another one. NORMAL people would be like - yeah wow they saw some issues on the u/s but I hope everything is fine, kinda nervous. These people - OMG we're sooooo excited to get an u/s and see the baby OMG it's gonna be soooo great, yeah the dr specializes in something like genetics and the last u/s had some issues, which is over my head and he'll deal with my 2 clotting disorders to see if I need heparin daily but OMG PICTURES!? Uh? I guess it's good that you're too stupid to be nervous?? They treat every dr as if it's a strip mall ultrasound place that'll give them an envelope w/ pink or blue so you can get your girl or boy cupcakes baked.

And then they show up with their kid!? Uh - hello? I know sometimes people bring kids to the OB like on the first appt post delivery but what is with these people toting their kid around like a Gucci bag assuming everyone will be sooo eager. First of all there's a pandemic - they hardly want YOU in the office let alone your snot nosed unvaccinated child?! Second even when there's no pandemic, these are specialist offices with tons of equipment, they like to listen to the baby's heartbeat etc. in perfect silence. Hard to do when you're baby talking your toddler who grabs everything and says YEAH every 2 seconds!?

I mean it's up there with Alyssa (though Alyssa was worse) bringing 3 kids under age 5 with her to her post cardiac surgery appointment and there were kids lying on the exam table?! It is very much in your interest that the cardiologist be able to hear every damn sound your heart makes . . . not your 2 yr old whining!?

E&C's excuse for bringing the baby - we just could not get a babysitter today!? Really what happened to your 87 siblings? Or your jobless parents who do nothing all day? They really can't watch your existing kid for 2 hrs so you can go tend to their latest grandbaby that Kelly will be screaming about?? Unsurprisingly Evan wasn't allowed to bring L in so he had to sit in the car with her. And then C was posting videos from the u/s room showing how she got soooo many pics of the baby and how she wanted to film the u/s but they don't allow filming in that room. It's as if they're running a serious medical practice here rather than a youtube channel. 

She refers to the baby as SHE in the insta video but then goes back and corrects it and says they don't know the gender yet in response to DMs saying oh it's a girl. And yeah they're totally setting it up for the dog to be gone again soon with the whole - she was nipping at L's face, it was scary. They'll bring the dog back, supposedly she'll do it again off camera of course maybe right before C is set to deliver or right when the bring the newborn home and goodbye dog.

cereality, I said the same thing on another forum. They've never mentioned Izzy being aggressive before, and now she's some rabid child eater. They're totally planting the seeds to get rid of her. They'll claim she bit Layla and they had to re-home. That's the only way they can dump the dog with minimal flack, and it's not like it can be proven one way or the other.

Seems like from the start Izzy was nothing but a photo op for Carlin. I’ve seen pictures of a similar looking dog, Remi, with Katie and Travis, so I think the “keeping up with the sisters” may have contributed too. Carlin and Evan act like teenagers at best, so in the long run Izzy will be better off rehomed . But we’ll probably see Layla getting kittens for her  next birthday just like Joy’s kid.

I was eye-rolling when Evan kept remarking how chill Izzy was now. Yeah dummy, getting zapped with a shock collar for six weeks straight does a number on the spirit.

Maybe I'm projecting, but Carlin didn't seem all that enthused. Maybe she saved the fakey-fake, overly excited reaction for the YouTube footage, but in her stories she was unusually sedate.

I wouldn't wish severe morning sickness on anyone. (Well, maybe Jill Rodrigues).

It's especially not fun with a toddler.  And since this is only their second, I can't really fault them for the two year spacing, especially since I did that myself.

However, if this is something that happens with every pregnancy and they still pump out 6-8 kids my sympathy may run out.

They didn’t space purposely. She’s mentioned they’ve being trying for another for awhile.
