  1. Thanks for the feedback on those, PrincessSparkle. I got a sample of the aqua mob but haven't tried it, and I've been eyeing the DE serum. I'm really liking Sunday Riley Good Genes and the Tidal Water moisturizer, but not enough to switch from my regular combo of Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta daily peel and Ole Henricksen serums and moisturizers. I do wish I could find a super hydrating eye cream - any recommendations? I can see the beginnings of crepiness, especially around my lash line.
  2. I tend to go on Sunday mornings before 9. Mines pretty quiet at that time and well stocked. One thing I always grab this time of year are the Astounding Multi-Flavor Joe-Joe's, which are different flavors of Joe-Joe's covered in chocolate. The box has double chocolate, peppermint, peanut butter, and my favorite, ginger covered in white chocolate. They only have them at the holidays, which is probably for the best as I am deficient in self control. We're having an all Trader Joe's meal tonight - panko tilapia filets*, French fries and tartar sauce. *thanks to Blackish I now know that tilapia are a garbage fish. Hasn't stopped me from eating it.
  3. I just listened to an episode of Criminal (the podcast; Episode 1: Animal Instincts) about this case and explained the owl theory. They talked to the guy who first brought up the possibility of the owl. Apparently he surmises that the owl attack happened outside and she stumbled back in, which would explain why there weren't other signs of an owl in the house. Not sure that I believe it though, mainly because of the blood spatter.
  4. I've used a heating pad under the bowl to help my dough rise.
  5. Because it would mean less room for the booze! Can't fault her logic.
  6. I sampled it at TJ's on Saturday, and it was really good!
  7. We got a Fresh Market a few years ago and I love it. My favorite item? Duke's Mayonnaise. It's the absolute best, and FM is the only place around here (suburban Boston) that sells it.
  8. Trader Joe's is in my weekly routine. We get a lot of staples there - dairy, pasta, beans, produce, meat. For prepared foods, I like their quinoa and butternut salad, salsa, chive yogurt dip, lasagna, and simple roast chicken breast (easier than rotisserie and great for salads). From the frozen section we usually get the Indian dishes (Chana masala, saag paneer), mandarin chicken, gyoza, eggplant stacks (really good). This time of year I appreciate all of the frozen appetizers, especially the Camembert and cranberry phyllo rolls. For snacks I'm partial to the teriyaki turkey jerky, cheese crunchers, and mini cheese cracker sandwiches. I have tried the chocolate croissants which were pretty good. Did you know that you can return food if you didn't like it? I've only done it once with some sea salt brownie bites which were so dry and dusty. They took them back with no problem.

  10. At least it wasn't a butt fumble.
  11. Oh, those are pretty! Sephora has the White Chocolate available today for VIB Rouge. Also for VIB Rouge a Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush in shades Incandescent Electra, Brilliant Nude, Euphoric Fusion. I'm eyeing it but should probably pass as the Hourglass blushes never look as nice on me as they should for the price.
  12. I'm eyeing the Tom Ford lipsticks too. Beautiful colors.
  13. All the talk of cleaning/clutter/organizing spurred me to tackle my very small pantry. All shelves are cleaned, wrapped with removeable contact paper (half of the shelves were unfinished wood) and rearranged. I've had that contact paper for almost 2 months so it was about time. Pet peeve - so many projects, so little time.
  14. I will! Just chuck it all. If you haven't unpacked it in three years there's nothing important in those boxes.
  15. Me too! And, I'm going to have another piece thus afternoon. It's a 2-piece kind of day. Only my cats are here to judge me.
  16. Yep! Here's my Sephora haul: Tarte Pretty Little Lippies and Intro to Tarte Discovery set Cover FX Radiant Skin Duo (got the drops in a Play box and love them) Buxom License to Chill 3 piece Eye & Lip Collection (I'm having a rose gold obsession) Origins Cult Favorites (masks) I checked out Ulta too but nothing grabbed me. Tarte has 25% of everything on the site. Also, Temptalia has a list of Black Friday sales.
  17. I guess I'm the odd one out. I love to clean (even the bathroom) and go grocery shopping. Most of all I love to organize. I wish I could organize the whole world. Clutter makes me twitchy.
  18. Cate will have to break out her formal hoodie.
  19. When Farrah is finally arrested for going batshit crazy in public, I hope crimes against the English language are included in the charges.
  20. The question is will Jinger actually go the store without Babe. My money is on no - she's a Jill.
  21. Watched The Office Job yesterday. Peter Stormare (as the German documentary filmmaker) is one of my favorite guest stars. I don't know how the other actors didn't break character and laugh.
  22. Good to know, SpiderPig! I hope they bring back the Brie and cranberry bites (wrapped in phyllo). Years ago TJ's had an awesome pumpkin mousse pie/cake with a gingersnap crust (in the freezer section). It was so good. I've been trying to recreate it ever since it disappeared but with no luck.
