  1. I mis-read the end of your last sentence as "and you want to completely smother that person." Works both ways!
  2. Tonight will be Cook's Illustrated Skillet Lasagna. I've also got a crockpot of navy bean and ham soup going to use the ham bone from Christmas.
  3. That skirt is an abomination for so many reasons.
  4. It's my liberty to do whatever the F I want, jackass.
  5. So, apparently the Chiefs came to play today. I hope they keep this up for the entire game this week.
  6. Excellent! I'm resolving to bake more in 2017, and this will make the list!
  7. @biakbiak, now I just have to find custard powder! I made a Amish Dinner Rolls for Christmas dinner. The best rolls I've ever made - so soft and fluffy.
  8. Any kind of champagne cocktail. Friday I had a "Bone Shaker" - Ken's Silver Bike, Bombay Sapphire, St-Germaine, Yellow Chartreuse and Prosecco. Very potent. I'll take a French 75 any day!
  9. Just the other day I was roundly mocked for saying Last Christmas was one of my favorite Christmas songs (what can I say, the 80s were my formative years). Rest In Peace, George.
  10. Are you kidding me San Diego? WTF.
  11. Oh, those sound wonderful! I've wanted to try to make nanimo bars - I've never had one but they look tasty.
  12. That looks delicious! Actually, by the time Christmas Day rolls around I'm pretty tired of chocolate and peppermint stuff. Lemon would be a welcome change.
  13. Hope you are doing ok. My thoughts have been with the citizens of Germany. Festivus is a holiday made up by George Costanza's father on the sitcom Seinfeld. It includes an "Airing of Grievances" in which each person at the celebration tells everyone in attendance how that person has disappointed them over the course of the year. It also involves feats of strength and a Festivus pole. Wikipedia has a good description.
  14. @aradia22, thanks for the Elf recommendation! I'll look for it the next time I'm in Target. @luckyroll3, I only recently started buffing out my blush. It does look so much more natural!
  15. Has anyone tried and had success color booster between coloring, like John Frieda's Luminous Color Glaze or DPhue Color Boosting Gloss? My hair is colored dark copper so does tend to get a little brassy. I'm looking for a little something to extend the color s little (I get it done every 7 weeks).
  16. I love NARS blushes which are new to me in the last few months. I use a small blush brush to apply and then blend out. I think I might be putting it on with a too-light hand. I have terrible light in the bathroom I use that makes me look overly made up, but when I check my makeup in the bathroom at work it's more subtle. I'm going to try a little more blush and see if I can find more makeup advice from RuPaul's drag race.
  17. Anyone have a recommendation for a good contour palette for light skin? I prefer powder. I'd like a natural look, just a little definition to my otherwise non-defined face. Somewhat related question - do you touch up your makeup during the day beyond lipstick/powder? What about blush? I'm noticing that my blush (no matter what brand) seems to fade during the day and by the end of my workday (about 9 hours later) it's completely gone. I use a primer and setting spray. Am I expecting too much of my blush to last 8 hours + ?
  18. Closer to the shore - Hingham!
  19. Mine is in MA! I suspect they are seasonal as I hadn't seen them before (and you know I always check out the appetizers in case there's something new).
  20. It's more pathetic that I would read it.
  21. I've had the butternut risotto which was fine - I think I added Parmesan. I looked for the bacon wrapped scallops but couldn't find them. Instead I got bacon-wrapped Gorgonzola stuffed dates. Also, the little chocolate mousse Christmas tree cakes from the bakery area are so good! Chocolatey but not too sweet.
  22. Earth Therapeutics Handy Remedy (I get it at Ulta but I think it's at Target too) and Gold Bond Diabetic Skin Relief Lotion, which I bought on accident but really like. For higher end, First Aid Beauty has awesome lotions. Also, I love the hand (and foot) masks from Sephora which are reasonably priced.
  23. I swear by First Aid Beauty's Ultra Repair Lip Therapy for daily use and Fresh's Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Treatment at night. I also use Bite's agave lip mask a few times a week for deep hydration. All of them really helped when I had the cold from hell a couple of years ago and was breathing through my mouth for a week.
  24. I pretty sure the babies in Danger America aren't white enough for them.
