  1. I don’t know how humid it is here because I refuse to go outside. I’m like Gollum, in my dark cave and whispering “my precious” in reference to my air conditioner.
  2. So Jenelle’s back to promoting weight loss, not healthy eating and the ayurvedic stuff she’s been prattling on about for the past few years. Perhaps as a first step she could LEARN HOW TO SPELL “LOSING.” Although the likelihood of that happening is probably about as great as the likelihood that she actually “looses” weight (and certainly not in a healthy way).
  3. Yeah, daily stand ups should be all business. That would drive me batty, and I have no problem chatting with coworkers at any other time. You have my sympathy!
  4. So glad Cavendish is doing well and eating his new food, @Scarlett45! Has anyone tried Pretty Litter? It apparently can help alert you to health issues (UTI, etc.) with your cats by changing colors depending on what issue it detects. I’m intrigued but skeptical.
  5. That was my first thought - why are all of them there? Probably all the better to god-bother people. Was anyone saved in this laundromat? But most importantly, was Daniel there?
  6. I’ve been sick since around noon and am sure I’ve lost at least six pounds by now. For the low price of $99.99, I would be happy to share my secret with any of you!
  7. One of my cats escaped from our apartment for 2 of the longest days of my life. Fortunately she returned from her adventure, much to the disappointment of the other cat. The non-roaming cat hissed and growled at the prodigal cat until we gave little miss runaway a bath and she smelled “normal” again.
  8. Good lord, that would de-motivate me. I am in the office today, and I have to say it’s weird to hear other voices while I’m working. Not bad, just weird after so long at home. There are only 10 or so people on site, so it’s pretty quiet on the whole. And, I got to have lunch with my colleagues, so that was nice.
  9. @Scarlett45, with my previous generation of cats, I just fed them both the special food. It was much easier than trying to keep them apart. There was some protest at the beginning as neither of them liked the new food as much, but eventually they came around. They both hated the Science Diet urinary tract food (anything Science Diet, actually) so had to do some research on other options; eventually I found several types they would eat. I think this latest set of pictures are the first ones where it’s been clear how big Cavendish is. He’s a chonky boy!
  10. Try his recipe for the nuoc cham sauce (it’s linked in the recipe). It’s my favorite of the ones I’ve made - not too sweet and lots of lime.
  11. I made Vietnamese Grilled Pork & Rice Noodles. This is one of my favorite foods on the planet, and I finally found a recipe I really like. I planted Thai basil and mint this year so those came out of my (container) garden.
  12. Is Christine saying she lost 2 percent of her body fat in 3 days? Because that is physically impossible.
  13. Yes, you’ve hit on what really pissed me off about Audrey’s cash grab. It’s Pride month, and rather than encourage people to donate to worthy LGBTQ+ organizations, they want people to give them money to eat at a new restaurant or get coffee. The sheer gall of it!
  14. I can’t remember - do Jessa and Ben usually sit on the same side, even when it’s just the two of them? Jill and Derick were the first couple I thought of. I need my alone time, so being joined at the hip would drive me crazy. I feel sorry for any Duggar child who values their privacy and “me” time because surely they don’t get any.
  15. Me too. I’m leaning hard into the self care this weekend, and I hope you can do so as well (and anyone else who needs it, regardless of the reason).
  16. Aw, I’m sorry he’s not coming home today, but erring on the side of caution is never a bad idea.
  17. One of my cats was convinced that she couldn’t walk when she wore a cone. We had to pick her up and carry to her food, etc. and basically hold her all the time. So maybe it really was the cone of awesome to her (she was a needy cuddler at the best of times)!
  18. Well, that’s terrifying. Did he bore himself into a stupor before taking the picture?
  19. Oh, Parker is a very judgmental cat. Of course it’s all dependent on whether you will feed or pet her on demand. If you would do that, she will judge you worthy. Parker, judging:
  20. Harvard Extension School is a legitimate school that awards undergraduate and graduate degrees. Like most “extension” schools it’s geared towards working adults and people going back to school later and/or have an unconventional path to higher education. Degrees from the school say Harvard University on them and students participate in Harvard commencement. (Source - worked at the university for 12 years and know many people who earned graduate degrees from the Extension School.) Having said that, there is no law degree offered by the extension school. As usual, Farrah is a lying piece of crap.
  21. Kitties always look so defeated when they wear the cone of shame. I’m so glad Cavendish is improving.
  22. I’m so sorry, @EighteenTwelve. It’s such a hard decision to make, but it comes from your deep love for Lily. We are all here for you.
  23. So, today I was chatting with a coworker over Teams and needed some additional context. I started to type out “explain it to me like I’m Joy.” 🤣
  24. Hugs to you and Cavendish, @Scarlett45. It sounds like he is in good hands at the vet, but I know from experience that you won’t truly feel better until your sweet boy is home. Keep us posted. Okay, all the talk of vomiting is really getting to me. There is an episode of Seinfeld where Jerry’s years-long no vomiting streak is broken. That’s me - I have a super strong aversion to it. I get nauseous, feel like I’m going to be sick, but ultimately won’t because I just can’t do it. This colonoscopy sounds like more fun by the minute.
