  1. I side-eye the whole insulin thing. That is not the first step to treat Type 2 diabetes; that's what you take when other treatments haven't worked. If he is taking it, then he's probably been doing it for more than a few years. And if that's the case, there's no way he's off of all his medicine without losing significant weight and changes to his diet, neither of which appear to have happened.
  2. Me too. How can he play the best husband ever if he dumps his wife? He gets more sympathy if he gets dumped - he was too good for her, she never appreciated him, etc.
  3. 9. Because they are polygamists they are discriminated against and can't get hired.
  4. Sweet fancy Moses, Dean's got some mighty strong genes. Those poor children. (Except for the youngest; doesn't look like either of them).
  5. I use Simple wipes to remove my makeup, and then Boscia Detoxifying Cleanser (love). Sometimes I use the Boscia oil makeup remover which is also nice. On a different note, I tried Ole Henriksen's Power Bright 3-step Professional Brightening System this weekend. My skin was amazingly soft afterwards! I'm seriously considering adding it to the routine. It's pricey, but some folks on Sephora have noted that each pod has more than enough for a single treatment so that helps.
  6. The Urban Decay Vault Volume III was released last week. It looks awesome (all of the Naked eye palettes) but is already sold out on their website. That's probably a good thing since it's $300.
  7. Tarte http://tartecosmetics.com/tarte-shop-beauty-steals has blush on sale today for $16 (reg. $28). I was going to resist their birthday sale, but I'm in the mood for some new blush..... ETA - I got Natural Beauty (rosy red), Fearless (pink coral), and True Love (watermelon; this was on the sale page not the beauty steals page)
  8. I lived in Memphis when the murders occurred and the resulting Satanic Panic was unreal and just bizarre to me.
  9. Chickpea curry over cauliflower "rice." Actually not too shabby!
  10. Petunia13, I'm filled with righteous anger on your behalf! That sucks and blows to the nth degree. I agree with auntlada and theredhead77, EEOC.
  11. I like palettes because I'm terrible putting colors together. With a palette (especially those that come with instructions - thanks Tarte!) I play around a little more.
  12. And you know the reason Tyga's reps weren't paying the bills is because Tyga wasn't paying them. Oh, and because he has no money.
  13. No kidding. If she is sincere, she deserves better support than this group of dumbasses.
  14. The Huda palette is pretty but I can't pull off half the colors in it. My Naked2 arrived today though and I know I'm going to get a lot of use out of it.
  15. You're a more sympathetic person than me, Magoo. I don't feel bad for Ben at all. He choose the life he has and doesn't seem to be making any effort to change it. No one is holding him hostage; he could go back to school, join a weekend football club, get a job that he enjoys, not have baby after baby, etc. That's the one nice thing I can say about Derick, he's following his dream (although that is tempered by Jill's obvious dislike of the actual work of missioning).
  16. It's like a buzzword bingo card.
  17. Acorn squash, red onion and garlic and herb chicken sausages roasted on a sheet pan with a little Parmesan. Super easy and pretty tasty!
  18. Me too! I am only eating dark chocolate these days (less sugar) and one piece is all I need. Now, if it was white chocolate, all bets are off.
  19. Petunia13, I was looking at the Tarte palette too but decided against it because of the mixed reviews. Usually I love Tarte products. I went a little crazy this weekend and got the Naked 2 palette, Too Faced's Boudoir Eyes, and the new Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit. I had a bad week so I bought makeup.
  20. Gah, that ad! It's ruined my breakfast for the last 2 days. I have a secret love of Arby's, even though I worked there in high school and summers in college. There are none in my area so I sometimes indulge when we visit my mother-in-law. There is one off the interstate and somehow it's always lunchtime when we're near it. I have to go with the classic beef and cheddar - I love that it comes in different sizes. I haven't had a Jamocha shake since college but I really loved them.
  21. I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry, this is so absurd.
