Like the big nerd I am, I was most excited when Washington mentioned his work as a surveyor. My 7th Great Grandfather William Crawford was friends with Washington and did surveying work with/for him.Years later Crawford got burned at the stake in Ohio. The whole Bonnet, Jem and the Roger misunderstandings are my least favorite in the books.

Also, once Santa pays Vixen's fine and takes her home the whole Snow Miser/Heat Miser/Snow in South Town story line doesn't even have to happen anymore. The elves and Mrs. Claus could just go back to the North Pole, they don't have to deal with the Mayor anymore. He is not important in getting Santa a Holiday... they only needed him to get Vixen out.. I also noticed this weekend that the animated Mayor in Twas the Night Before Christmas and animagic Year with out a Santa Claus have the same mustache and bald head. No one ever shows The Stingiest Man in Town which I love for the songs and Walter Matthau shouting "nooooo!"( ETA just learned right this very moment that HULU has it. It was just suggested to me because obviously I'm being spied on by the internet,) or Cricket on the Hearth which is so freaking weird so I have to bust out the DVDs. The hair just made me think Marc Davis. And how he is continuing the Davis Family work (as of the early 90's) - making my beloved, local for NOW, NFL team as terrible as possible. And I know as a NFL follower even when a team is successful I'm on the losing, take my money end, but those haircuts! It was probably more intended towards a 1970s cult vibe and only I am relating it to the horrible season. I wish Michael instead of "look at my 666 thingy" was much more powerful, and it annoyed me that he incinerated the one chick that recognized his power immediately. Why kill a believer?

Well that was a disappointment. The ending was super cheesy and toothless. Just a bunch of BS blah blah love, we'll always be together in our hearts blah blah. The Dudley's are really going to spend eternity with Poppy and Olivia, the murderers of their kid? You get to choose what age you are as a ghost? ETA: The more I think about it, the more Abigail's murder upsets me. She was this poor isolated trusting little girl who was fed rat poison the first time she was able to interact with people outside her parents. It's horrifying. Her death is brushed off and made more about how Olivia was suffering. Yes, her parents covered up for her murder because they wanted to protect the house in order to spend eternity with her. Though it seemed like it was perfectly fine/not that big of a deal that that eternity was with Abigail being dead and still in the Dudley's grasp. She even has to be around her murderers forever. She never got to experience anything of life.

That's what I thought too. Then she walked off with that 1930's lady I didn't recognize.

I am really enjoying this show, the spooky/dread level is right up my alley. Regarding dead bodies - the first time I saw one was at my brother in law's funeral. I didn't want to, it felt disrespectful somehow? I didn't like that the first time I saw him he was so vulnerable. He was also the only dead body I ever saw until my Dad died. My BIL had gone through the embalming process and did not look like real. I saw my Dad right after he died and it was much better.... or you know as better as seeing someone you love dead can be. Which is not really "better" in any sense. Also in my home town the mortuary had an awning/carport kind of thing at it's main entrance and I always thought they posed the bodies in the front window and the families would drive through to see them. I think Henry Thomas is wearing blue contacts and it makes him look weird. The whole animals in horror/scary movies will die trope is awful. I hate it.

My favorite part was how Gabby's dad carried around a small white dog during their entire snippet. You just know originally he didn't want that damn rat dog but now refuses to go out of town unless the dog can come.
