  1. It's when Phillip goes down to the boat control area and is informed by Mr. Wickham what has been planned for Phillip.
  2. I'm disappointed. GBBO and its off shoots are my favorite things on tv. They are so delightful and soothing. Just another thing ruined by awful men. Their shitty behavior hurting individual people and then rippling out to ruin a large production and a lot of people's hard work.
  3. That was really weird... there is no way the ballerina would be able to see the queen with lights and what not. I guess she'd know where the Queen's box was though.
  4. I love British series and the "hey it's..." Mr. Wickham as the boat admiral guy! (Official title) Phillip is so awful, he knew what he was getting into, I just can't with his bullshit.
  5. Weird that Midge's bedroom is right off the kitchen... an odd layout also on GG. I wonder why.
  6. I was thinking that they made the doctor seemingly true to the times during the hypnotism with his questions, at first I thought he knew what she was doing but then I didn't. Afterward was a bit too progressive and modern with his mental health opinions. I do think Grace would have had something like PTSD from all her trauma. The truth telling during the hypnotism is something Mary would have done and I do wonder like the doctor, if she took the opportunity to say what she thought, inspired by Mary, she definitely emulated her perfect life with the "dog named Rex." I do think she helped murder Nancy and Kinnear, but I don't know why, how did she think she would benefit? It was hard to imagine Grace as young girl who didn't know better, was she supposed to be 13 or so at the beginning? She looked about 25 the entire time. Grace and Jaime seemed like a Peeta/Katniss marriage arrangement. The Doctor definitely had his issues his going comatose was bizarre? Jaime certainly got off on her abuse.
  7. Snowball has always been a girl! I actually enjoyed this, the candy segement was pretty dark, poor bunny.
  8. Ive only watched a handful of episodes but my husband watches regularly so I pick up bits... was Loren and Alexei's K1 denied because she didnt have a job? She kept going on and on about it not being fair they were denied but it seems like she doesn't do anything. You have to have as steady income to bring someone over on a K1. I sponsored my husband waaay back when we were both 22 and I had to be at a certain income level. It may have changed in the last 15 years but I was able to sponsor all on my lonesome and I was probably only making like 30k back then and exceeded the minimum needed. (Our K1 was easy, he was Canadian, we were the same age and came from similar backgrounds, it took like 2 months and he was approved in Nov. 2001 so immediately after 9/11.)
  9. He was so off putting and those tight capris were ridiculous. I got the vibe that before he went gray he was kind of plain "nice guy," but then started to get attention from women and got a makeover and now is a huge douche.
  10. Its before the rosary scene, its towards the beginning of the episode. It just seemed obvious to me, but then nothing else happened with it during the rest of the episode. From my googling some other people felt the same way but most don't.
  11. Ive been searching all over and only found one other reference and most disagreed but Doc Roe was using morphine right? I totally wouldn't blame him, he runs to horror in a hail of bullets but i thought it seemed obvious... like they show him "shooting up" while in a hole, or rather he's in the hole is doing something we cant see with his hands, tenses up and then reacts like he just took something
  12. When describing her previous dog she literally said Matthew climbed all over the poor thing and she mentioned he'd been bitten before. Just watching that kid made me tense.

    Dunkirk (2017)

I loved this movie and I full on cried with the reveal shot of all the little ships. I was just thinking a lot of those captains probably survived WWI and then were brave enough to cross the channel. Multiple times. Supposedly like Mr. Dawson being loosely based on Lightoller, Tom Hardy's Farrier was based on Al Deere of New Zealand. He shot down multiple planes and did land on a Belgian beach, but wasn't even captured. http://www.nzherald.co.nz/entertainment/news/article.cfm?c_id=1501119&objectid=11895657 http://www.newshub.co.nz/home/entertainment/2017/07/tom-hardy-s-dunkirk-hero-based-on-a-real-life-kiwi.html https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_Christopher_Deere Most of the RAF was further inland holding German planes back so very few were visible on the channel and from the beaches, leading the evacuees to believe they had no air support.
  14. Oh god. Megan, she's ruining my good name. I want babies close togever. If we wait any longer they won't be close togever. Is her first even a year yet? I would bet folding money by the time she's 26 she does have those 5 kids she wants stuffed in caravan. Probably all with Dylan. He'll probably also have a kid with some other girl along the way. Megan needs to read Chump Lady, but she'd be too dumb to understand how it relates to her. The NHS practically pays for everything for these babies right?
  15. I get why Shannon is talking about it though. If she points it out first, then in theory, it can't be used to hurt her. It doesn't work, but I understand the idea behind it. I know I did it when I was overweight, same with anything else obvious that embarrasses me. Her trainer's behavior is one of the things that keeps people from working out, they're afraid they're going to be treated like a disgusting monster and be made fun of. People are always saying no one will make fun of you! No one cares, we're all just working out.. but then you get guys like this and that Playboy chick.
  16. Ramona was almost normal.Whats wrong with jeans and sneakers for a date at the zoo? That's an appropriate outfit. That guy had little man syndrome. I also feel like the second guy has a drawer full of "let the adventure begin'" key chains.
  17. Unfortunately in this area the Property Bros/Fixer Upper style reigns supreme so I doubt anything will be restored. The backyard situation is definitely bad. I had thought that neighborhood had better sized backyards so I was surprised to see it. One thing I dont love about this show is that they tend towards the gimmicky costumey, set design-y instead of the more straight forward period. And California prices are nuts. My house has doubled in the 7 years we've owned it and its a nothing special 1958 ranch, but it still has its original kitchen and a large backyard, not original bathrooms though, those are the Home Depot special. I'd like to return them back to something close to what they would have been someday soon. I would also like to change my kitchen slightly, its a huge room but the actual kitchen space is small, and have feelers out to buy the kitchen cabinets from a recently sold house that has cabinets identical to mine. Everyone around here is tearing out the 1950s kitchens and I would be shocked if these people didn't.
  18. Vintage is supposedly anything 20 years and older, 60 years seems to fit the bill. Only 40 more and it's considered an antique. @azshadowwalker Have you ever check out the blog Old House Dreams?
  19. This is my second favorite of the flippy/remodel shows. I like that they remain true to the era for the most part, but do some updates. It seems like most home buyers like the idea of historic homes but not so much the reality, so their designs are a nice middle. I loved the Eichler house from last night. There is a supposed Eichler for sale in my town and I'm trying to figure out how or if it was changed. It has a courtyard-y entrance.. but doesn't seem to have had an atrium. https://www.redfin.com/CA/Salinas/1244-San-Marcos-Dr-93901/home/14922807 Restored of course is the best of all the flippy/remodel shows.
  20. I was all in on this. I loved GLOW as a kid (Lady Godiva was my fav, prolly because of the horse and the hair) this was surprisingly good. Ruth deserved to get the shit kicked out of her. I also loved and owned The Warrior on cassette.

    Split (2016)

Dr. Fletcher made me so mad. I kept thinking that she didn't know where he lived and that's why she hadn't done some sort of action with the police yet. That she was working with him and keeping his trust to find out more. Or worse, like others mentioned she was so enamored of her own theory she wasn't ready to turn him in. THEN! She went to his creepy house alone in a freaking cab. She knew were he lived the whole time and she suspected that he had the girls and when she was at his house the girls were easy to find! She was so irresponsible. I never saw Unbreakable so that surprise meant nothing to me.
  22. When Edgar first was interviewed it seemed obvious to me that he was not mentally competent. I don't think the film makers should have included him unless the whole point was to show that he wasn't some one that would be able to give reliable information.
  23. I never noticed how much Emily Browning resembles Essie Davis before this.
  24. This was literally just answered, dumb me just skimmed the posts.
