wtf was up with Kelli? She had an odd look on her face when she said she hadn’t noticed Jalyn at all. 

Judy tried to explain Jalyn’s level of disappointment but Kelli wasn’t having it.

I don’t agree that Jalyn has a toxic attitude. A little unprofessional yes but understandable.

For those who aren’t able to watch the show, Cheryl Burke did not say anything negative (or otherwise) regarding Jaylyn’s dancing. She was not the reason Jaylyn wasn’t chosen for SG.

Awww....poor Jaylyn. She’s so confused as to what happened.... My heart breaks for her. Makes me like her even more....I pray she comes back next year but this may be another season like DCC Erica Jenkins (2008).  She was on SG but Kelli came down hard on her for her finals performance and her weight. She told Erica to basically shape up or she’d be out. She was a great dancer. She did not return the next year. Hate to see this happen to Jaylyn.

I don't know.  I didn't watch.  But the helicopter crash that killed Shaina's friends happened after SG auditions, so I was wondering if they were reacting to it.

I personally wouldn't put that solely on Rachel A....I'm sure someone will grab onto that and then start hating on her!  The other vets that made show group were Rachel W, Carol, Ashlee and Cici--it could've been either one of them.

Daphne. Good lawd that leap during Show Group auditions. Jaw on the floor. And she's never been one of my favorites. Other stand-outs: Hannah (of course), Ashlee (YAY!), Kelsey, Amanda, Bridget, and from what I saw, JAYLYN. She always brings it. I don't get it. 😞

Omg. You know an episode really got to me when I sign up to post after reading this forum for years and watching the show since it started. Even with all the Cassie/Vic drama I have never been so mad. I haven’t yet read what others wrote on here because I just finished the episode, but I am so disgusted at the way Kelli talked to Jalyn after she rightfully got upset. Unprofessional? Yet in the previews she’s crying presumably over Meredith who quite honestly is just god awful????? 

This show has lost everything that got me watching it in the first place and now it’s become this sad reality show and not a real dance audition.  I mean, if CMT drops it, you know it would fit right in in the Bravo line up. (And don’t get me wrong I love me some Real Housewives) but I’m saddened by how pathetic this show has become.

I have always loved Kelli and how she handles cutting the girls. I’ve always admired how articulate she is and specifically her choice of language - clear and concise. Not always good news, but honest news. 

Unfortunately this is the first episode in 14 years where something just felt “off.”  She seemed particularly upset with the whole Jalyn situation - even defensive. The fact that Judy had to explain to Kelli that there is a difference between “losing” showgroup vs not making show group shows how illogical and irrational Kelli is being.

If a girl wants to step into the locker room to cry or process her feelings, she should be allowed to do that. If Jalyn has remained in the room and teared up or started crying, would Kelli say that is unprofessional too?   What would be the better option?  Honestly, I think excusing yourself when the girls break is better than creating a scene in the dance studio. 

The show sets these girls up for such huge expectations - cuts every week, guest choreographers, fashion shows and photo shoots positioned as “tests”.. and then they are surprised when the girls react with emotion or disappointment.  You’ve physically and mentally exhausted these girls and the critique them if they don’t happen to be smiling or perky for four hours straight.  

This episode was particularly unflattering for Kelli. I hope she watches this in retrospect and recognizes her strange defensiveness and accusatory behavior towards Jalyn. You’d think she just lied to her about a doctors appointment or something!
