What's Jess's problem with Nicole?

For lack of a better term, I’d call it guilt by association.

If I’m reading her correctly, Jessica’ biggest issue this season has been feeling constantly left out of things - alliances, plans, etc. - and it’s gotten to the point if Jessica even thinks you have something going on about which she hasn’t been included, then she just may take a stab at blowing up your game out of simple spite.

Now, the latest rationalizing element Jessica sees as justifying her FOMO - last week’s Cliff/Kat noms:

  1. In simplest terms, having both Cliff and Kat OTB after the PoV guaranteed at least partial destruction of the closest thing Jessica has had to a security blanket in his game - Cliff’s Angels.
  2. The deal Cliff made to survive last week did two things to Cliff’s Angels - it protected both Cliff and Nicole, and was an excommunication sentence for Kat - but for Jessica it did absolutely nothing; from her own point of view, Jessica once again appears to have been totally disregarded even by members of her own alliance.
  3. Despite any of Kat’s earlier statements, her last couple of days in the House were marked by desperate shots at Cliff in an attempt to derail the increasing inevitability of her own eviction - and a huge number of those shots were vocalized repeatedly to Jessica, Kat’s closest remaining ally in the House.

So for Jessica, Kat’s last days in the House were a repetitive litany of (a) how Cliff had betrayed their alliance and (b) how Jessica had once again been left by the wayside and excluded from the protection Cliff had negotiated for himself - and Nicole.

And simple fact: it’s a lot easier to attack Nicole than Cliff.

Christie telling Analice she thinks she can get Jackson to use the veto on her and put up Jess. She says “I hate that that’s what’s going to have to happen.”

And apparently all this is inspired by a dream in which she “literally resurrected [her] dead grandfather.”

I would be so disappointed if Christie doesn't try, or she does and Jackson doesn't run right away to tell Jess. Or worse, he does and Jess blames Jackson and decides that he's her next target.

Jackson is not going to waver.  He wants both Christie and Jack in the jury house before him, to prove to Jack that Jack was wrong to choose Christie over him (Jackson).  He's currently a "man with a job to do."

Excellent summary, Nashville. Thank you. So now the question is... why IS Jessica left out of everything? Does her personality not mesh well with the rest of the house?

If I were ever a Hamster, I would do my best to husband my energies.  If a Jess is essentially a nullity and is not a threat to me, I would not waste effort.

Remember - every single conversation or action could be the ONE to trigger a tsunami that takes me out.  Less, is always, more in BB, imo.

Ah. So, it looks like Sis has finally awoken this week to start playing the game!

She seems to be throwing Jess under the bus to Holly right now, trying to get her backdoored.

Welcome to Big Brother, Sis! It took you long enough! But the real question is if she'll keep playing once she's out of danger or if she'll go back to snoozing through the game.

This is just one of those seasons where I find the cast to be completely polarized between likability and (relatively) good gameplay. Usually there's somebody somewhere in the middle, but this year everybody's basically on one axis or the other—the ones I'd hang out with IRL suck at the game and the ones who don't suck as human beings. (And then there's people like Bella, who end up in the negative zone of both...)

As far as Christie goes, maybe the purpose of her being on BB was the universe wanted her to learn a life lesson instead of winning $500k.  You think she woukd ever come to that conclusion?  😁

Only after the season's over and she sees how she was received by the audience. That's how she'll spin it, after the fact.

Nicole isn't even playing; she's like a scared little mouse who somehow just wandered onto the BB set and no one from production cared enough to remove her.

So true. I just find her too embarrassing to watch. And honestly, it's because watching her is like looking into a mirror of myself playing Big Brother lol.

When he is not "on", I do like him.

I kinda sorta don't hate him as much when he's not doing his ott, fake 'I LOVE EVERYONE!' bullshit. But usually if he's not doing that then he's doing his ott, fake dejected placating so it's kind of like choosing between a rock and a hard place. And to top it all off he is 1 of only 2 attractive men this season so it really pisses me off that I hate him so much!

It won’t be forgotten but I think production put all their eggs (hate) in Jack and the others will get off with minimal hate and/or anger.

For sure. It'll be like how they raked Aaryn over the coals to try to make us all forget Gina Marie, Andy, Spencer, and Amanda were just as gross and horrible.

I just think it's because people think she's useless.

Lol ... on Jokers —

There was a post about the remaining 5 6 shooters getting back together and what would they be called.

One of the responses:  Jackson 5

Yes, yes I’m easy.  😁😁😁

Didn't she do the same thing when Holly was HOH to get Sam off the block and Nicole as the renom ?? And apparently has no memory that it was herself who presented the idea to Holly. She only remembers that Holly was thinking about nominating Nicole.

I would be less surprised to find out that cliff is, in fact, Batman.

Nah, he's clearly a badly aged Peter Parker.  It had to have been Spidey senses that helped him through the first challenge (in the dark) and the one with the balls with the Camp Comeback group.  No other explanation.

Next time on Big Brother:  Analyse reveals that her participation in this year's game has all been part of her dissertation research on the topic of "The Psychological Implications of Non-Prison Enforced Incarceration Between Low IQ Individuals when Placed into Daily Contact with a Watermelon Lovin' Fool."

The Broadway show Tommy was in, Pretty Woman, closed today. I wonder if CBS might broadcast a cast video to Tommy-his “I LOVE YOU ALL!” and spasms of sobs would make good TV, I guess, especially if it was live on Thursday night.

WOW the editors must really hate Analice.

That was not flattering at all.

I don't know. I thought it was sort of endearing, in a scatterbrained, flibbertigibbet kind of way.)(And I'm pretty sure I spelled that wrong.)

What does this refer to?

They have a segment explaining to Sis that the days are getting shorter. After the summer solstice, each day gets a little shorter. She didn't know that. She also thought that meant 10:00pm would come sooner.

My own personal impression as to why Jessica is everybody’s favorite strategic pariah this season?  Largely because Jessica repeatedly demonstrates a lack of understanding of one of the most fundamental concepts of BB - specifically, the value of information increases with its scarcity - and the other HGs know it.

The more people who know a particular thing, the less value your knowledge of that thing brings to the table - so you should (a) always try to keep secret information secret for as long as you can, and (b) be extremely judicious about with whom you share information.  Jessica does neither.  As soon as Person A puts a load of new information into Jessica’s ear, it’s like Jessica immediately goes into Hunt Mode to find a Person B - any Person B - to whom she might spread the new information as quickly as possible.  And if Jessica feels that new information slights, ignores, or minimizes her to any degree...?  Up that dissemination speed by a factor of about 50.

In summary: Jessica’s never been told a secret she didn’t automatically spill, and everybody knows it - so alliance with Jessica presents little or no benefit, other than an extra vote.

I've always loved Jordan but that makes me think of this. Bless her heart:

I love her too!  My favorite is when Jeff asked her what kind of animal she would want to be, and she said "a squirrel."  He was like A SQUIRREL?!?!?  and she said, "What?? Squirrels are friendly.  They hang out in neighborhoods and stuff."

Speaking of weird, let's talk Nick.

He's being a real whiny ass that he needs Jess out. He's complaining to every person he comes across. This could just be strategy, but he seems genuinely pissed about whatever she's said today or whatever.  "All she does in this game is dog me, bro."

Aw, add me to the “love Jordan” list. Honestly, I always saw Jordan as probably someone with a learning disability rather than someone who lacked intelligence. She was so socially astute in so many ways and had clearly found ways to compensate for not being booksmart.

I was a Jordan fan her first season, and thought she was smarter than she came across, at least when it came to the social game. One of my favorite times watching the feeds was when she told Ronnie all the truth when his game was blown up, which really helped her game. She was calm, had all the facts, and it was brutal and awesome. I was her biggest fan until the end that season because of it.

Her second season, she sucked.

I never liked Jordan. I didn't hate her, but I didn't find what was so endearing about her either. What I do remember was holy mother of hell Jordan had horrible PMS.

I never thought she and Jeff were cute either. He was always condescending towards her. In BB13 the couple I 'shipped was Daniele and Dominic because I thought Dominic was exactly the kind of nice, grounded person Daniele needed considering her dad is Evel Dick. I was really surprised to find out that they later actually got married and now have a kid.

I so dislike Nick and the "deals" he thinks he can broker and be involved in.  He is the biggest snake in the house. He thinks he is the king of cool. Yech!

And Nick tells Sis what Cliff told him in confidence. They call Tommy over and he quickly tells him,Jess is telling people that Nick,Tommy and Miche are working together. Sis says, CLiff told him.

OMG! Nobody uses their information wisely.

LOL but yes. I blame Jeff.

I keep meaning to ask this and then forget: does Nick have a tattoo of Taylor Swift dressed as like Davy Crockett or something? I can't figure out what the big tattoo on his arm is but it legitimately looks like that to me.

I think it was modeled off of Charlize Theron's face but it isn't supposed to be her exactly - just inspired by. I think it's supposed to be an Aboriginal/First Nations woman?

That's so Nick lol.

A part of me is almost into the idea of Christie and co. convincing Jackson to BD Jessica but only if they then get HOH next week and immediately target Jackson. That would be so funny.

If Tommy had been using all season long the voice he used in the DR tonight, I could actually root for him. Too bad it's too late.

Last night Anal, Christie, and Cliff (maybe Nicole? she's easily miss-able) were talking about Matt I think, and Christie said something like "he's my type. Like, if I liked guys. But I wouldn't say that in front of Nick, 'cause I don't wanna give him the wrong idea." WTF is wrong with this guy? He's like the creepiest combo of a pan-sexual predator and total doofus. Dude is definitely out of a job after BB.

The other night Nick was in one of the beds in the target/bullseye room with Analyse draped all over him demanding that he "tickle" her arm the way she likes which even Jack didn't do and then Analyse asked Tommy to come join them. So Tommy was curled up on the bed with Analyse between them and as Nick was caressing her in the same "Hey, is it sexy fun times?" way that an ex used to do to me, Nick reaches over to tweak Tommy's nipple. To Tommy's credit, he just swatted Nick's hand away and stared off into space.

So Nick tried again. And that's when Tommy brought up being surprised that Bella would be all right with Nick cuddling up on everyone and the feeds cut.
