David T. Cole October 10, 2014 Author Share October 10, 2014 I'd kind of like to submit the racist ghost truck episode of Supernatural for the NONAC, but I'm not sure that it would be considered an "otherwise good show." Do it! "Good show" is subjective of course, but what we mean is "not Misfits of Science". 1 Link to comment
David T. Cole October 10, 2014 Author Share October 10, 2014 Yep, you want episode 45! Link to comment
AmeliaBedelia October 10, 2014 Share October 10, 2014 "not a boy not yet a man"? "Mrs.Parker and the vicious circle"? Link to comment
The Crazed Spruce October 11, 2014 Share October 11, 2014 To quote AmeliaBedelia from a different EHG thread... "wet Newfoundland dogs with googily eyes"? Link to comment
MaryPatShelby October 11, 2014 Share October 11, 2014 Please please do a full "I am not a Crackpot" EHG. I loved the first one so much! 2 Link to comment
swimmyfish October 11, 2014 Share October 11, 2014 If no one guesses TPTDP before y'all tape the next episode, do I get a Dave-point? 2 Link to comment
sinnerforhire October 12, 2014 Share October 12, 2014 Man, the use of TPTDP really was seamless! 1 Link to comment

CSLwsJr October 14, 2014 Share October 14, 2014 Its not on the canon list? Since you mentioned it, neither is the episode of "The Comeback" that Joe submitted a while ago. 1 Link to comment

David T. Cole October 14, 2014 Author Share October 14, 2014 Please please do a full "I am not a Crackpot" EHG. I loved the first one so much! Not going to happen this holiday as we only got Nonac submissions. We'll do a proper Crackpot episode in 2015. No one has guessed TPTDP! Link to comment
April Bloodgate October 15, 2014 Share October 15, 2014 We did use it. Hmm... I thought I had listened to every episode, but I guess I missed that one. Big loss for me. :( Link to comment
Monty October 15, 2014 Share October 15, 2014 I'm glad I'm not the only one who has trouble keeping Sasha and Stella separate. Link to comment
radishcake October 15, 2014 Share October 15, 2014 I'm glad that if I make Liv mad she will give me THREE chances before she cuts off my head & lets me decay in her dungeon. <3 Also Leah needs MAJOR props for never breaking when Liv is talking. She is phenomenal. :) 2 Link to comment
radishcake October 15, 2014 Share October 15, 2014 OK, is it Ginger Baby?!? get to the fireworks factory? I do love the use of Simpson's quotes. "Big juicy chess club noodle" is one of my favorite quotes. You have made me listen to this podcast FOUR times now. But I'm not competitive at all so it's fine... *starts listening again. 2 Link to comment
LeighAnne October 15, 2014 Share October 15, 2014 I like how specific Olivia is on the subject of "How to Properly Dispose of a Decapitated Head." 2 Link to comment
Tara Ariano October 15, 2014 Share October 15, 2014 After she recorded that one, Leah texted me to say what a hard time she had keeping a straight face and when I listened back I could really tell. Not where we thought that answer was going to go AT ALL. 2 Link to comment
smrou October 15, 2014 Share October 15, 2014 I loved that response so much. "What would you do instead of cutting off their head?" "I would lock them in my dungeon and THEN cut off their head! And then throw them out in the garbage." [Paraphrased, of course.] 1 Link to comment
Primetimer October 16, 2014 Share October 16, 2014 American Horror Story returns for a season set in a freak show. Joe Reid returns to discuss it! Read the story 1 Link to comment
David T. Cole October 16, 2014 Author Share October 16, 2014 Despite what I say at the start, it is still The Phrase that DOESN'T Pay. Sorry about the bleed-y echo in this episode. 1 Link to comment
Misanthrope October 16, 2014 Share October 16, 2014 I will absolutely second Joe's comments re: Agents of SHIELD. It's really improved since the big Captain America 2 reveal and this season is really off to a good start. 1 Link to comment
ApathyMonger October 16, 2014 Share October 16, 2014 Red Team, Blue Team was a really great episode. Good timing on it too as (casting spoiler) both Kyle MacLachlan and Carrie Preston are back in this week's episode. Link to comment
Fukui San October 16, 2014 Share October 16, 2014 Dave, Bob from Accounting and Jenny from HR are totally doing it. Was the phrase that doesn't pay said again in this episode, or are you demanding that we relisten to last week's episode until it is found? 1 Link to comment
Sarah D. Bunting October 16, 2014 Share October 16, 2014 The Phrase That Doesn't Pay was repeated in the most recent episode. The same PTDP will keep haunting the podcast until it's guessed and we move on to the next one. And it is not "that's what she said" and cannot really ever be that because this 5-year-old says it multiple times every week. 4 Link to comment
LoraKay October 16, 2014 Share October 16, 2014 Will the guest say TPTDP, or will it only be Dave, Tara, or Sarah? Link to comment
Tara Ariano October 16, 2014 Share October 16, 2014 Only one person will say TPTDP, and it could be any person on the podcast; we all get briefed on what it is before we start. 1 Link to comment
David T. Cole October 16, 2014 Author Share October 16, 2014 You only have until Friday morning to guess TPTDP because we are recording the next episode Friday afternoon. 1 Link to comment
messyone15 October 16, 2014 Share October 16, 2014 I love Joe so much. He completes you, Extra Hot Great podcast. Yay for his guest appearance! 2 Link to comment
Portia October 16, 2014 Share October 16, 2014 I'm glad I'm not the only one who never fast forwards through the AHS opening credits. The credits were the best thing about Season 3. Loved Game Time! I was happy there was a question about NewsRadio but disappointed that it didn't reference Matthew's costume, which according to Matthew was "construction worker" and according to everyone else was "gay construction worker." 2 Link to comment
Portia October 17, 2014 Share October 17, 2014 (edited) My husband's not a podcast guy, but he's a big Face Off fan, and I started playing Liv's reports for him last week. He claims to hate children but is utterly charmed by our intrepid correspondent. We absolutely laughed our butts off at the latest installment's M. Night Shyamalan Twist Ending! Liv is the best. David T. Cole October 17, 2014 Author Share October 17, 2014 Nope! TPTDP is now closed. You'll have to guess in the comments for the next episode (we are recording today). 1 Link to comment
radishcake October 17, 2014 Share October 17, 2014 Haha Portia I made my husband listen to this one specifically because Liv was so awesome. :) 1 Link to comment
Eeksquire October 18, 2014 Share October 18, 2014 Was I the only one that, after hearing a mere mention of a Mayor McCheese costume immediately wanted to be Mayor McCheese for Halloween? And also had a Pavlovian craving for a McDonald's cheeseburger? No? Just me. 4 Link to comment
radishcake October 18, 2014 Share October 18, 2014 Eeksquire, not just you! Also am the only one who loves Dracula? I laughed out loud at all his jokes. blah! 4 Link to comment
Primetimer October 22, 2014 Share October 22, 2014 The gang is joined by Survivor survivor Trip Payne to discuss all things Probst. Plus, a very unusual Game Time! Read the story Link to comment
Michele October 22, 2014 Share October 22, 2014 Oh, man. I love the TWIST of the Game Time. Amazing. Also, my guess for TPTDP: "Cats and Dogs living together!" Link to comment
SnideAsides October 22, 2014 Share October 22, 2014 And if it's not that, I'm going to go all meta and suggest "Phrase that Doesn't Pay" itself. So happy my favourite obscure Korean cable reality show got discussed. (Dave et al, this thing I wrote a few months ago might help explain the games a bit better than the subtitles so you don't have to backtrack as much.) Link to comment
David T. Cole October 22, 2014 Author Share October 22, 2014 Sweet, thanks for the guide! Link to comment
Solid Muldoon October 22, 2014 Share October 22, 2014 My guess for TPTDP: "This gag never gets old." Link to comment
SnideAsides October 22, 2014 Share October 22, 2014 Thanks! In fairness, I should add that you're on your own for figuring out some of the season two games where every player was given a different character to play, with each character having a completely different set of rules to determine whether they win or lose. Ain't nobody got time for that. Link to comment
