I think Christine may be one of those "just for the show" agents.  Chrishell made it pretty clear at that dinner with Jason and Brett that Christine hadn't closed any deals in a long time.

Though I thought Chrishell went a bit too far in that dinner saying that Jason should fire Christine.  I can't believe that I'm about to defend Christine and suspend disbelief in the show's likely fake storyline but... it's not a good look to advocate firing someone who's currently out on maternity leave.  Even if there is a business reason, the optics aren't great and it would just be too much of a liability issue.

Chelsea goes on and on about how great her boobs are.  At the dinner weigh Mary and Jason her Chelsea’s boobs were hanging out of her top and the camera focused on the stretch marks. Yikes it was not attractive.   
Chelsea kept demanding respect and Divina just walked away.   I worked with a woman who always said she deserved respect. I told her you need to earn it.   I just don’t like Chelsea. Christine’s poor me attitude is also getting old.

The only surprise there would have been about Heather's birthday party is if someone who didn't work at Oppenheim was invited. I wonder how Christine really feels about not going to any of these parties, & does she still get paid?

So this is my theory, when the reality show was pitched, Christine took on the "villain role" but she is actually SO EVIL and an awful person, the rest of the cast is shocked. Their emotional reactions to her are genuine. It's as if they all knew they were going to do this show, so they were going to "amp things up" to make it interesting and generate more business for the group/themselves, but Christine took it to a level no one was expecting.

Seriously, their outfits are insane. I didn't really warm up to Chelsea. She was a lot. I did appreciate that she at least confronted the ladies and tried talking to them. Chrishell asked the question to Christine if Chelsea was an actual realtor, which was not unreasonable to ask, this is Christine who has been known to lie. At least Chelsea spoke to Chrishell about it.

This is a theory I agree with. Christine does a lot of things behind the scenes/in the press and never to anyone's face. Then gets all sad and demure and "why can't you be professional" when confronted about it. I do think there are real hurt feelings, especially from Mary because I think they were true friends. But Christine wants to play reality show villain and that's more important to her. And she claims she wants to be friends but then she keeps making digs. Like the cheap shoes comments. And the comments about anyone can be a broker, look at Davina. I just don't see anything authentic about her, it's all a show. And I know it's a reality show so things aren't always real or edited to look a certain way but at least these ladies seem to have real things going on. With Christine it all seems fake.

Speaking of Davina, she was practically packing Vanessa's bags for her to get her to move to London so she would be out as a realtor and Davina would have less competition. Vanessa as basically a non entity this season though.

This show is so silly and soapy. Christine is over-the-top ridiculous, and while I'm not crazy about Chelsea, she definitely seems a shade better than Christine - at least she was willing to speak to the other realtors face-to-face. It has to be exasperating to the office veterans to keep having to explain Christine to newcomers who are being used as her latest lap-dog. I see Vanessa no longer appears keen to associate with her, and I'm curious to see if Chelsea will be observant enough to see Christine is no victim.

I can't stand Davina, but good God, her client seemed like an unreasonable nightmare: "leave me alone for a month, you're putting too much pressure on, but I'm not getting enough attention from you!" Ugh.

So far I'm actually liking Emma, and the house she was considering buying for her parents was lovely (if it was indeed a real thing). How amazing to be in a position to do that for family. The Maple Drive house Chrishell was selling was nice as well.

My first thought when I saw that scene was the client already had another agent lined up and she just needed to get out of any agreement she had with Davina first. So she was making up excuses, hoping any of them would work.

After watching season 5 I really started  hating the word bitches. How can women with self respect talk like that? How can you talk about yourself like that? I skipped last season and this season, but prior to that Christine has never sold a house on the show. Maybe she did last season, but by the end of season two I think she was the only agent who hadn’t sold a property (on air at least)

This season was fun, but not enough of the houses. I don’t mind Chelsea, she’s actually a reality show villian (or perhaps an antagonist) we can deal with. She would bring the drama and “extra” the show needs to be interesting but not be the truly evil/emotionally damaging person Christine has been. 
 

I do think Jason and Chrishell’s pain was real. But the fact of the matter is, they aren’t compatible. I think Jason needs to either date women who are staunchly childfree, or women who are 45+ and had kids younger (so they are grown and gone). I don’t think he actually wants to be a father, but he’s mature, responsible and a guy with moral character- so he doesn’t mistreat women or string them along for years. I don’t think he wants a “commitment” like a marriage or a partnership. 
 

I don’t know if Chrishell’s relationship with G Flip is just a fling or what, but may she find her way to motherhood, it sounds very important to her.

Well Justin left her fall 2019, she dated the DWTS guy in summer 2020 for a hot minute (I consider it a rebound thing) and then she dated Jason (she seemed emotionally invested in that) for 6-7 months from mid 2021- end of 2021. Its now 2022, the relationship is new, it might be a fling too, or G Flip might be actually be interested in being a parent- Jason is not. A trip to the sperm bank is simple, finding someone who wants to raise kids with you is not.

I do think Chrishell was madly in love with Justin, I think her relationship with her DWTS was a bit of rebounding, "I am still sexy" adventures (which is fine), Jason I think she had real feelings for. I feel badly for Chrishell, its been a LOT the last few years, she lost her dad, she lost her marriage, she lost her mom, there was a pandemic, thank goodness her little dog is still with her!

Meh, I'm over this show, after the reunion.  And the Orange County previews did nothing for me.  Removed it from My List in Netflix, and it's one more nail in my Netflix coffin.  Just a few more Grace & Frankie's to go, and I'm outta there.

IMHO:  Chrishell was Justin Hartley was truly heartbroken when Justin Hartley left her (so cruel of him, cheating, SOB).   But also IMO, because it meant leaving a Hollywood tangential life of being a part-time actress/Red carpet walking beauty to having to work actually really hard selling houses.  

DWTS partner = staying relevant.  Rebound, yes, but likes + clicks on IG etc.

So she dates Jason, serious money there, but she actually does want kids, so that ends up being a no-go.

And now, she's with G-Flip, appearing in a B- video, but hey, she's on camera, she gets to stay relevant, she keeps people talking about her.

I hope for G-Flip's sake that she has true intentions and isn't going to break G-Flip's heart.

Remember a few episodes ago, on a boat, where there was a really cute guy who was into her, but she was not?  I bet he just didn't have enough going on for her to engage in. Nothing to help pull her up from anything.

I so badly want to love Chrishell, but she makes it hard, as I don't trust her motives.  Sometimes, the best thing you can do, is to stay quiet and still.  Do your own thing.  I find that everything she does is in the name of staying "relevant".  A child from a bad home, crying out for attention.

That guy was actually a slimey douche, so I can't blame Chrishell for not taking any interest in him, (not that I think the rest of your analysis is wrong). Chrishell could definitely be thirsty, but I don't mind her - she doesn't annoy me as much as some of the other cast members on the show.

I'm surprised, but my attitude to the Oppenheimer bros has actually softened somewhat. Jason seemed genuinely pained by the break-up - it didn't seem like a performance to me, but maybe I'm just gullible.

I can agree with most of this- but Chrishell was an actress and is now a realtor as well as a reality show participant. Staying relevant is her JOB and $$ in her pocket. 

So long as she doesn’t have malicious intentions towards G-Flip I don’t see anything wrong with it. 

Regarding that cute guy on the boat- he gave off creepy vibes to me and picked her up against her will, just violating all sorts of physical boundaries with a woman he just met. I would’ve shut that down too. Cute doesn’t mean you get to be disrespectful. 

 

A friend of mine texted me and asked me why Jason was so set against having kids when he is a wealthy late 40s man "he would barely have to do anything" (she was asking me as a childfree person). I said at the end of the day 1. Jason just doesn't want to parent, and yes he could outsource a lot of the caregiving (nannies etc) but 2. he still has to pay those people, he would rather spend that money on himself- and he probably believes if he is just going to outsource all of his portion of parenting work, why have kids 3. if you procreate with someone you are stuck with them FOREVER. Jason isn't a jerk or an asshole but he doesn't want to be stuck with a woman (in some capacity) FOREVER. At least not now.

I do see this difference between childfree men and women- because women are the ones who have to be pregnant/give birth to the child, and the majority of the childcare falls on us, Chidlfree women at 25 strongly identify that way and are  open about it. Men might feel the same way but are less likely to be that open, and at 45ish when people start asking them about why they don't have kids, they state "oh im not sure, I don't know, maybe Im childfree."

I really don't think Jason had any business with Chrishell, he KNEW she wanted a baby, and all that hemming and hawing- dude no. I am glad they didnt string it along though.

I'm gutting it through this season (currently on ep 9) but I have to half seriously ask if they're showing the same house over and over and over again. Hillside, astroturf, infinity pool, glass pocket doors, neutral everything, blah blah blah. The first 10 houses were pretty, now I'm bored. That's why I love Kyle's house on Real Housewives ~ it's different! Not sure if I'll be back for season 6.

You’re so funny! I did think the douche guy was physically appealing- maybe I just like muscles. Jason is cuter though- Jason and Brett are nice looking men, nice faces and fit bodies they are just short (which doesn’t bother me at all- but I know it does a lot of people).

I do think Jason really did like, have a strong emotional attachment to Chrishell- I don’t think he was acting about that. 
 

But I also think Jason knew in his heart of hearts he didn’t want to parent. Perhaps this just me being bias as a childfree woman, we have to think about these things much more than men do (for a woman to have biological children it’s a much great physical investment and we have a shorter window to decide.) I think Jason could’ve saved her heartbreak had he been honest with HIMSELF from jump street.
