I liked Christina, too.  She seemed sweet and real and more mature than some of the younger DCC's.  Looking at her instagram, I see she got herself a, um, figure.

I vaguely recall someone posted on the old TWOP that Carey didn't want to be featured.

She was an Atlanta Falcons cheerleader (also their PBC) for 7 seasons! Also a DCC for 2 season so that makes 9 years of  pro cheerleading.

Watching season 9 earlier and why do these girls not listen ?  Like at makeovers.  If they change you from the heavy smoky eye , don’t go back ( Brennan). And Vivian was just being silly.

Breelan is a makeup artist now - works at The Styling Stewardess with Mia, Holly A, Ashley P.  She was doing some of the girls makeup for their audition videos, and I wondered how many were going to have a heavy smoky eye:)

Wondered if anyone else ever noticed in Season 2, when they go to take the squad photo, they don't have the stars on the back of their belts?  Also, there's a quick shot of one girl going to go stand in the photo and she doesn't have stars on her belt at all.  I thought it was weird since they always have the stars on the back of the belts.

Yes! Half the time it seemed like K&J forgot she was there the previous year, I remember one of them saying something about wanting to see how she photographs her second year even though she had made it to cameos the year prior.

Can't find the post but someone shared a MTT you tube channel that had the veteran cuts over the seasons.

While they were all sad OMG i forgot how gut wrenching Tara's cut was, i burst out crying while working just now. I remember thinking it was out of left field when it happened and being so pissed for her but wow, her sweet face in that office visit, wow was she blindsided and I can see why especially seeing some of the other rookie candidates that could've potentially replaced her...

that was probably my worst Vet cut, she did not deserve that and was clearly so well loved by her teammates, the way they all hugged/sobbed with her. i remember seeing that instagram story with them all at Ihop eating pancakes. OMG i'm so mad all over again. TPTB make some of the worst decisions but wow, that one hits hard even still...

Christina R. is first visible in Season 6 at auditions. She had that brown hair then too, and didn't make it into Training Camp. Funny thing is, at the same auditions were Keyra from Season 12, and of course Kalli Fullerton and Jordyn Ketchum. Season 6's auditions was like a bridge year of sorts. Bridging the older seasons with the newer.

As a straight male, I can confirm. Alexis was NEVER invisible. I still cross my fingers one of her sisters will try out. That's a beautiful family.

Deleted scene of Alexis so that probably explains why we didn't see her much in season 12. I'm glad I'm not the only one who realized how much the guys love Alexis. I wonder how Neal McCoy felt about her, but at the same time I'm glad I don't know cause Neal really gives me the creeps. I love Alexis as well and out of all the cheerleaders ever, she's definitely one of the ones who had the most sex appeal and she's just very gorgeous in general. She always gave me porn star vibes and I don't mean that as an insult, I'm actually complimenting. Reddit and not DCC reddit just a random reddit page where they feature hot cheerleaders made a post about how hot she is so I looked to see if they had any other DCC on that page and they didn't they did just Alexis. @ShutterbugCAM Since you're a straight guy, what are your thoughts about Dayton Bramhall? Please don't answer the question with something negative haha. I find her to be Alexis level gorgeous without the sex appeal and I really think she could blossom into the DCC that Alexis was if she were to live up to her potential which I can't wait to see one day.

 If you go to the 30 minute work you can see Alexis and the photographer is at loss of words for how amazing she is.

Thank you to one of your members for sending me the link to the 2 hour special that aired in 2005. 

Kelli use to have compassion and humility. It's actually sad to see the woman she has become. Does she ever watch the show and cringe at the things that come out of her mouth? I would be embarrassed if I were her or a member of her family. 

A rookie was cut and a vet was crying to Kelli about the fact that she was going home to an empty house and had no one there for her. Kelli showed compassion and told the vet to go talk to her. That would never happen now. Even the way she addressed weight, makeup and hair was much more professional. I think it's time for Kelli to be replaced. She has become complacent. I also think Judy needs to go as well. She is the choreographer but does nothing except sit on her stool. All of the dances are from guest choreographers. Even the dances they did in 2005 I see in Thunder 15 years later. Judy, tonight is going to be your last night.

I know I fly pretty solo with my unpopular opinion about Tara, but I was surprised she made it. IMO she was one of the cheerleaders Kelly picks every year for storyline and then is gone year two. 
 

Kelli always hates when girls have short legs for their frame like Tara does, and Tara is on the sporty cute side of things when Kelli usually goes for the glamour girl. Tara also had a weaker calendar shoot. 
 

That said, Tara’s locker room love said so much about her character and friends on the squad, and it sucks she was booted. IIRC, she had some personal stuff going on and it was impacting her dance. Like what they said for Hannah, except Hannah was still awesome.

Well why be nice when you can create drama on a show and get talked about, have fans, bring attention to the Cowboys organization, etc.

I loved Tara still do. I was devastated when I heard about her cut but as I saw it play out on the show. She rocked finals but then gained a little weight.and then and  IRL still looked amazing  but more so lost her spark I got how she got cut. 
 

dance shows your soul and if something is going on with you it takes a real professional to still rock it.

Season 8 on now.  And Ashley Paige saying “ they want to see a change in my dance style in 24 hours”.  No hon.   They’ve been wanting to see a change in your dance style.  And they told you that.   A few times   Now I wouldn’t call how she came out on entrance a waddle, but it was weird.

I know I'm SUPER late. Vacation made me fall way behind on everything on this forum, but I'm so glad you linked that video of Alexis. I never saw that and wonder why they deleted it.

To answer your question about Dayton, I think she's absolutely stunning. She has definitely appeal to guys like me. If she made the team, she would have instantly been a fan favorite.

TPTB need to realize that most guys love the girls they decide don't fit right with the team. Girls like Dayton, Vivian, Katie Schouten from season 3, Meagan from season 9...all those girls (with the exception of Dayton) were told they didn't have the right look/body for the team, but in reality, men would love them more than some of the sticks they chose over them.

This.  My husband thinks most of the women on this show are too skinny, but he was wowed by Alexis and by Megan from season 9.  He was actually angry watching that scene where they cut her.  I feel like Kelli and Judy and the other judges are so much more critical of women's bodies than the average man would be.  Or woman, for that matter.  They're also too obsessed with the "glamourous" look, instead of the sweet girl next door look.  Some of their cheerleaders would look a lot more fresh and beautiful if they didn't have so much make-up on.

That video of Alexis makes her seem very sweet.  I looked at some of her sideline photos on Google and was a little surprised that Kelli and Judi chose her.  Because she has, you know, actual thighs and stuff.  

Did anyone see the DCC at the driver intros of the NASCAR All-Star race last night?  For some reason, I found it cool to see faces I recognized from the show.  I caught Tess, and that redhead (Stephanie?).  I haven't watched the newer seasons so I wasn't sure who all was still on the squad.

also, as has been said before, why can't the boots be altered at all? why do they have to be an identical height? not everyone is the exact same height, and the uniform gets altered, so why can't the boots be...?

omg, i literally just saw that scene for the first time last night. wtf?! if she were so repulsive, she wouldn't have been accepted into training camp...

her body fat percentage is a few points higher than the others, someone call weight watchers!

It would be interesting to see if Kelli and Judy would have made the team nowadays. K Kelli certainly didn't look overly skinny in her heyday.

From my experience men are quite happy with females ' jiggly bits and would be oblivious to a few extra pounds.

I think Judy might have, but probably not Kelli.  Judy would have the overall "look" they're going for but, while Kelli's body might have been uniform ready, her face would likely not have been "HD Friendly".

It was mostly all retired vets - some from a good few years back! Danielle, Stephanie, Khalyn. More recent - Brianna, Alanna, Rachel, Tess, Savannah, Maddie.

Speaking as a man, SURELY y'all are NOT telling me it wasn't pure luck that the runner-up to Miss America is currently point, or that the women who make up this team are all "10s." (🙄)

Next thing you know, other posters will start insisting DCCs like Meredith and Kat made the team mainly for their "looks." (🙄😉😂) .

See, I think the complete opposite! I think Kelli was gorgeous when she was a DCC. A total smoke-show. Obviously the styles were different in the 1980s so looking at it with a contemporary eye, her photos are a little outdated. But she had an amazing figure and still has incredible bone structure, so I think if HD was around in her heyday, she wouldn’t have had any issues. I mean, she is in her - 50s? -now? I can’t imagine anyone is going to amazing in HD after a certain age. But 25 year old Kelli? Looking past the teased permed hair and 80s make up, I think she’d definitely pass the “60-Yard HD Screen Test of Clarity.”

And that’s why I sometimes think she is harsher on girls who are not HD friendly. She’s a pretty girl who only wants other pretty girls in her clique - she essentially has a prejudice against normal looking girls 😂.  I’m only kind of kidding.

I totally respect your opinion and it made me chuckle, a smoke show! I suppose many think she was, clearly she thinks she was/is even still... in all honestly, it's hard for me to see her as pretty bc I can't get past that I see her as having negative, mean girl energy... totally agree about Judy's hair, i'd KILL for it!!! :-)

Obviously the styles were different in the 1980s so looking at it with a contemporary eye, her photos are a little outdated. But she had an amazing figure and still has incredible bone structure, so I think if HD was around in her heyday, she wouldn’t have had any issues. I mean, she is in her - 50s? -now? I can’t imagine anyone is going to amazing in HD after a certain age. But 25 year old Kelli? Looking past the teased permed hair and 80s make up, I think she’d definitely pass the “60-Yard HD Screen Test of Clarity.”

And that’s why I sometimes think she is harsher on girls who are not HD friendly. She’s a pretty girl who only wants other pretty girls in her clique - she essentially has a prejudice against normal looking girls 😂.  I’m only kind of kidding. 

I’ve always found Judy just adorable with the most enviable hair on the planet. But I dunno if she’d have passed the “60-Yard HD Screen Test of Clarity.” Even at my best, I dunno if I’d have ever passed the test either! 

I'm with you on this!  I think Kelli is so, so pretty.  Kelli hits the glam slot for me, and Judy hits as sporty cute (Maggie, for example.)  I do think in current day, Judy is killing it as far as her sense of style has evolved, but Kelli is still lovely.  Just needs to size up and tailor down to accommodate her figure.  I have the same fit issues, so not a drag on Kelli!  They're both gorgeous and have great figures for their age.  Kelli is just one IMO that might have always yo-yo'd a bit, which is why she has a more critical eye towards it, whereas Judy's build seems more consistent.  And you can see that with Cassie as well.
