Morgalisa February 20, 2019 Share February 20, 2019 A Fox News article somehow slipped into my news feed today. The headline was "Meghan McCain Stuns Andrew McCabe on The View." Well, I had not seen the show so off I ran to watch the tape. I kept waiting for it to happen. Lol. Whoopi is sick a lot! She needs a complete work up. I think she only gets medical care when forced to. I know she mentioned not getting dental care until her teeth were in horrible condition. Funny, they just discussed last week how often she gets sick. I dont miss Whoopi at all. Get well Whoopi. 4 12 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/91190-the-view-week-of-2182019/page/3/#findComment-5067071

SPinCA February 20, 2019 Share February 20, 2019 I found this forum because someone reposted my experience in the audience on 2/11 - the hissy fit 🤣 Anyway, have been enjoying reading this thread. When I was in the audience a lady in the front row was talking to the warm up comic who jokingly said “ya want the mic?”. The women took the mic and started giving her view on how women should stop apologizing for themselves. Sonny noticed her and said you should be up here. Abby agreed and they said “maybe we should have a regular person on the panel every Friday”. Producer Brian heard this and waved his hand and said “we tried that before and it was terrible television”. He said it in such a rude, bitchy way that I thought no wonder Meghan is getting away with so much. Popular Post tinkerbell February 20, 2019 Popular Post Share February 20, 2019 (edited) Watching now. Meghan going on and on about her hypothetical democratic primary bullshit -it was almost word-for-word what a lot of other conservatives are droning on and on about - Bernie is THE most popular candidate, he could win this state and that state, he would beat Kamala Harris in this other state, blah blah blah.... The republicans have a strategy, they would LOVE Bernie to be the dem candidate, and Meghan (and Abby) are just reiterating the words they were given to say. Meghan has always presented herself as an expert on "trump's base", now she's also an expert on "liberals". And good for Sunny, correcting Abby that the democrats have "gone so far left." NO, what happened is that Meghan and Abby pick the dems who are the most extreme, and insist that they are representative of the democratic party as a whole. Popular Post tinkerbell February 20, 2019 Popular Post Share February 20, 2019 Talking about Jussie Smollett, Meghan says the murder rate in Chicago is the highest it's been in decades, then quotes the 2016 statistics. Except - murder rates actually have gone DOWN in the past two years. The issue she danced around - about crime in Chicago, and the tough time the police have, is much more complicated than her little brain can understand. Yes, the cops have tough jobs. But, there are also numerous incidents of cops being too quick to shoot Black suspects and to conspire to cover up those shootings. Anyway - Jussie Smollett's story was believable until he said his attackers said "this is MAGA country". I don't know where anyone has been that people will say that, but CHICAGO? Not likely. 5 27 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/91190-the-view-week-of-2182019/page/3/#findComment-5067570

I don't know where anyone has been that people will say that, but CHICAGO? Not likely. Exactly! I work with the Chicago cops on a volunteer basis, so maybe I'm more obsessed than the average person, but upon hearing "This is MAGA country" (in Chicago!), my eyebrows shot into my hairline. Also, in the busiest part of town, no one caught the attackers on camera? I assume at every minute of every day, if I'm in public in Chicago, I'm on camera somewhere, whether it be an ATM, a pod camera, a RING doorbell, a business security system... Anyway, I came to post that Meghan's insincerity showed itself when she referred to "Ka-MAHL-a" Harris. Meghan, it's simple common courtesy to refer to someone the way they prefer to be referred to, and especially when that someone has recently sat two feet away from you and very clearly said, "My name is pronounced Comma-la," like the punctuation mark. It just shows the disrespect and low regard Meghan has for anyone not in "her tribe." She expects respect, pounding the table and screaming about her parentage, but can't give someone who may be our next president the courtesy of remembering how to say her name properly, even when that person explained it to her personally! Drives me crazy. 34 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/91190-the-view-week-of-2182019/page/3/#findComment-5067757

It's just a commentary on how an event can be seen differently through more modern views. There was a time when tv and movies showed men spanking their wives to keep them in line. Popular Post Cementhead February 20, 2019 Popular Post Share February 20, 2019 (edited) These interviews with politicians are certainly not one of the show's strengths. They never really seem to go too well. Kind of clumsy and awkward. Usually it starts with a nice set up from Joy or Whoopi which allows the interviewee to settle in and say something. And then , if the guest is not Republican, 3-2-1... the attempted Gotcha moment from Meghan.... which always turns out to be a giant fail on her part, and then a couple of softball questions are usually tossed in by Sunny & Abby to help fill in the awkwardness left over by Meghan's stupid question. At least Ana got in some substantive back and forth today. There's going to be plenty more of these on the way, folks. Sigh. And yes, Meghan was very taken aback by Ana mentioning her texting with the Congresswoman. The concept of having a dialogue with someone from the other team is so foreign to her. Because AOC's one smart cookie--and doesn't play the same way? Accomplished things on her own (business, education, Washington, D.C.). Republicans don't know how to work against her other than fear-mongering and criticism. She also knows how to use social media to her advantage. They're not inviting people because of who they side with politically, it's about who they're "cool" or get along with. I have never seen somebody THIS obsessed with their political affiliation. Something is seriously wrong with her. I know they said Meghan can come on their show but I plan on watching it and I don't need Meghan ruining anymore of my favorite late night shows. It's been said before that she has no idea that people can have something else that identifies themselves other than their political affiliation. I would imagine that every time she meets someone, after the introduction, she must ask "Republican or Democrat" - that is, if she hadn't already googled that information first. It's so sad that she cannot get past that and learn to be open to everyone. 32 minutes ago, Apprentice79 said: Megan begging to be on Desus and Mero was pathetic. She wants to be so cool. Their fans might not like her being on there. This was just another lame attempt of Meghan's to up her popularity, and to prove, either to herself or the public that she is a "cool girl". The blatant invitation begging, the whole "YAASSSSSS" as they sat down - she's trying so desperately to prove that she is a cool chick and not a stick-up-her-ass, overly-impressed with herself, snotty, spoiled bitch. 1 18 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/91190-the-view-week-of-2182019/page/3/#findComment-5068603

Bring it on, Bethenny! Bethenny would slice and dice Meghan in a NY minute, and turn her into a quivering, crying mess! 3 9 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/91190-the-view-week-of-2182019/page/3/#findComment-5068615
