When someone said that healthcare for all is a right and that we are the only country that doesn't have it.....Abby actually didn't agree.  Hey Abby try having 3 kids in 2 years and pay for it yourself.

Says the woman who has always had access to health care.

The BEST healthcare.  Abby and her birth family, her husband and his birth family have ALWAYS had enough money to get whatever healthcare they desired.  They can travel anywhere in the world on a moment's notice.  They have BIG money and BIG connections.

Joy's command of the table is awesome. She does not let Megan control it or dominate it, that irritates Megan and that makes me smile.

Is it possible (tell me it's not) that Joy will get a talking-to by Meghan's Executive Producer, Brian?   Scenario: Meghan runs crying (again) to her dressing room.  Brian (in love with her), runs to the room to ask, "What's wrong, Honey?"  She tells him and he STOMPS to Joy's dressing room...but walks in timidly to try to diffuse the situation.

OK Meghan so Bernie Sanders wins Iowa and New Hampshire and then someone else goes on a winning streak and picks up a bunch of states?  Why would there be a fight?  Are Iowa and New Hampshire voters more important than other states?

Elsa please please learn something if that brain is capable of a brain cell and that is just because someone is a Democrat does not mean you are a socialist

This is a feature, not a bug. Purely intentional.  Joy or Sunny should say that all Republicans running for office are Fascists and the Republican party is being pulled in the direction of Fascism.

Also, can anyone here explain what MM meant when she said instead of running for office, Howard Shultz should fix the US education system? I just...I mean...what? Did I miss some integral part of the conversation?

Joy has really come into her own as moderator.  I doubt they can screw with Whoopi's contract to allow this change, damnit.

Brian is the producer for the show, not personal to MM.  They all have a producer in their ear. It is not a given they share her views either.  It is to keep the show rolling and correct mistakes.

Maybe Whoopi's doctor will tell her she has to rest for 3 months.  I have heard of this happening with pneumonia.  Or maybe she has a more serious health problem they are not mentioning right now.

Shut up Abby.

Meggie, it is not necessary to frown with death ray stare when you read what your husband put on your blue cards.

I thought she was referring to Mark Zuckerberg donating  $100M to Newark public schools.  We all know how successful that was.

I dreaded that they would cover the Jussie Smollett story, and of course they bungled it.  I expected better of Sunny.  At least Joy kept noting that they don't actually know the truth.  And while Abby and Sunny say that they have followed the story closely, they failed to note that the Chicago PD is denying what was told by sources to CNN.

Jussie's lawyers also said in their statement on Sun/Mon that they are cooperating with the PD and the PD confirmed that as well.  Whatever the real story is, suddenly people have jumped on this to conclude that it is a hoax, and then to criticize Jussie whilst saying, if it is a hoax, then...blah blah blah.

They also ignored the point that if Jussie's account is true, then he is right now being victimized again.

They added nothing to the conversation about this development, which happened on the weekend.  They had the opportunity to take a better approach, but instead they piled on their good friend of the show and called him a sociopath.

Sunny and co., you might well be ashamed again when this is over.

My point is that they could have chosen to be more careful with their conclusions until the truth is finally confirmed.

Abby is reminding me of a past panel member. Ana spoke very eloquently about seeing Jesse the week before the attack and his being on a panel in Miami celebrating MLK. Abby leads in immediately “and he was spokesperson for the LGBT community”  yeah Ana just said that!

Dont know if I’m up for the rest of the show.

I couldn't believe Meghan said that.  That is not a casual word to throw around.  Ted Bundy was a sociopath.

I agree with Sunny when she responded to Abby about how "far left" the democrats supposedly have gone. Nah, Abby. As Sunny stated - the democrats haven't gone far left, that's just a talking point for those on the right who perhaps want to mislead their audience in believing these ideas are just soooo "far left." Abby brings this up quite a bit, I've noticed. I wish she would quit saying that.

Ahhh, I was waiting for them to talk about Jussie Smollett. I must say, it's not looking good. We don't know everything yet of course but it's just not looking good so far. The conspiracy theorists are loving how this is unfolding, unfortunately. I hope the reports are wrong.

I do hope the reports abt Jussie are wrong.  Had it gone right, it may have started a civil war.  But having it go wrong just makes me sad for the whole situation.  I cant help but wonder if someone bigger was whispering in his ear....hey all ya gotta do is take a couple punches....

Obligatory ep ref: I kept waiting to hear a screech 'I'm a ally of the LGBT Community' blah blah blah

Yes Sunny is right.  It's Republicans who are saying Democrats are too far left.  And as Joy mentioned polls show that the majority of Americans like a lot of things that are considered "too left".

And how would Meghan and Abby like it if their co-hosts harangued them daily with accusations their party was too far right?

Meghan make predictions with her husband over the weekend of which candidate will win states in the primaries? How exciting that must be.

I think that lack of excitement explains her husband sending her a sex dungeon photo ("And then Bernie will take Iowa  - spank me harder,  Right Wing Daddy!! -  followed by a party split in California!")

Meghan was such a smarmy fool today - there she was, all (Cher singing) "I gotcha'd you, McCabe!" -- and he just looked at John McCain's Daughter like she was a ten year old brat acting up at the supper table, and voila! her dinner was served.

Don't miss Whoopie at all  and I hope she's well enough to rethink if she wants to spend her days relaxing or doing what she wants to do...or being driven to her day job.  (I guess in addition to the great pay, there are health benefits and so much more!)

That was an awful thing to say. I'd be very sad to find out Jussie's story wasn't true and I'd be more concerned with his emotional wellbeing to concoct this scenario.  But sociopath?  No.

Yet another Fillet Fail for John McCain's Daughter.  Like Charlie Brown and the football, she will never learn the fact that she can not win this game.  At least Charlie Brown is loveable and knows Lucy beat him again :).  Meghan is an annoying little brat who keeps thinking she is the Filleting Champion.

I loved the bond between Paula and Joy. You could tell that they really liked each other, despite their political differences. Paula and Whoopie did not care for each other at all. Whoopie would lose her mind whenever Paula challenged her and Paula enjoyed it and I enjoyed watching her pushing back against Whoopie's incoherent rants..

Wouldn't it be great to have a different guest host every month...someone who earns less than what "polls" say is the average wage in America?

  • A single mother with children who has a minimum wage job...but has been known to be outspoken and comfortable in a spotlight.
  • Another mother who is married with children, both she and her husband work full-time (maybe they have college degrees)...and they're still living pay check to pay check.   No drug or alcohol problems...just an average American trying to get by.
  • Someone REAL who has a REAL life.
  • Someone definitely able to give pushback to the two princesses on the panel.

I think a regular civilian would be effective.  I recall when the show started they had Debbi M as a recent college grad with student loans and learning to navigate the real world.

This would offer a real world perspective since all the women now have been in a position of wealth of various levels for a long time..so one of those options u mentioned would work.

I dont think the left has gone far left...yet.  however, the GOP didnt just go far right over night..it happened over a long period of time..and I'm seeing the left starting to veer to the far left.  So Sunny and Abby are both correct, yet not correct.

You know the world is screwed up when Megan McCain's photo and the headline "Meghan McCain warns Democrats not to underestimate Bernie Sanders", like she's some bonafide political analyst, is a featured story on AOL. I can only watch the View a couple times a week because the sight and sound of her makes me ill. How has she convinced the media that she's some kind of political expert on anything? It's mind boggling to think of her questioning Andrew McCabe.

I especially miss her whenever they bring up Kaep. Sunny would state her point, while Paula always said something to the affect of "He's a good QB and they're definitely blackballing him, but the owners are looking at the money aspect of it more than anything else. To have him on your team would alienate many people."

Meanwhile, the others who took her place just talk about the flag and some weird disrespect angle that they have. With Paula, those discussions were a bit more nuanced and since Paula has a sports announcing background she could actually say that Kaep was a good QB and that the league has worse ones on the field.

Plus her disagreements with Whoopi were funny as were her horrible jokes....I miss Paula.

I always liked Paula even if I disagreed with her vehemently. It bothered me that Meghan McCain, who had almost no interaction with Paula Faris on this show, was the one who got to say this rather than Joy, who was probably the closest to her.

I’m glad Ana was there today. She should be there every day Whoopi is out, but TPTB probably didn’t believe Whoopi’s pneumonia story to begin with. At first even I thought it was her way out of having to do so many Friday shows for sweeps, but she’s been out too long for her to be faking.

Sunny  was right to tell Abby that the Democratic party has not gone far left.. Megan wanted to dispute Sunny, but, Joy cut her off, prompting an eyeroll from Megan, lol...

I loved that Sunny countered the both of them with "this is just a Republican talking point." It's something Huntsman and McCain want to be the case, but isn't true in reality thus far. Meanwhile they spend all day every day schilling for the extremist at the top of their own party.

We are in election season in Chicago. Recently, one of Illinois's U.S. Senators (Dick Durbin) and one of our U.S. Reps (Jan Schakowsky) came to a short meet & greet at a local coffeehouse to support the reelection of a sitting Chicago alderman. The opposition to the alderman sat outside and chanted how "disappointed" and "ashamed" they were of Durbin and Schakowsky for supporting him. It was laughable, as if saying "shame on you" would have an effect on these long-time national powerhouses and cause them to reverse their entire position on someone.

That's a long way of saying that that's how I feel every. single. time. Meghan tries a "gotcha" question with someone. She keeps on trying, bless her heart, and always, always looks foolish. They gently and politely swat her away like she's a random mosquito. She is so overmatched, and completely out of her league.

She thinks she's GOP Woodward and Bernstein, and instead she's a third-grade reporter for her school paper.

It was brought up so suddenly as well, like in the middle of another conversation. I thought for a moment Paula had something to do with what they were talking about and it was kinda confusing. God forbid Meghan ever become a moderator, I think this would be a taste of the whiplash we would get. It's bad enough with Whoopi, who - to add my voice to the others - I do not miss at all!

My hunch- The View is her show (so she thinks),  so I believe that was the context.  Celebs/actors say my show, my movie all the time.   Meghan wouldn't have a personal producer on the set. Joy has referred to him as our producer on several occasions.   Who knows why the fuck she brought him.

Sincere apologies from Abby's Coaching Team.  We DID have her mic turned up; so "sharp-eared" of you.  During our various demos, we were using our classroom audio system, not realizing it wasn't as professional as the actual microphones used for the air.  She has always been such a soft-spoken, kind, and sensitive person that our coaches have been working hard to slip her into the more favorable Meganisms.  We hope you notice that she is speaking ever more quickly now.  Abby's results have been received so well by one Executive Producer that our budget has been increased for more equipment and one more coach.

We suggested that having another baby might increase her on-air popularity.  Little did we know she would go to such extreme lengths!  She is a team player!
