I’ll just say this....when you are going through any type of emotional or mental stress, one of the worst things you can do is sit at home all day in your own thoughts. I can’t even imagine how KSJ was coping with no work.

So true. And his fiancee has been in Russia for awhile and his daughters are not little kids any more and so no doubt have busy lives, so he's been really alone. 

His last tweet about show (with a link to some dreadful ratings) was pretty pointed. He was thrilled JG was back to focus on the vets. He added the treatment of DD was brutal and he was really looking forward to having a HW who knows and respects the show. I mean Mal had Ashley break up with Neil by text before she left. He had no scenes during Lily's monumental trial and incarceration and Mal just moved him out of GC. I mean WTF? How many scenes of Phyllis having sex or Rey and Mia have we seen in that time??? These last few scenes he had were JG tweaks imo (they were filmed AFTER Mal was fired). I am positive Mal had moved Neil off show for good a la Paul. 

Boy if Mal wasn't fired before he would have been now. I'm kind of stunned at the widespread coverage of KSJ's death and how impactful he has been for people's memories of Y&R (people who stopped watching years ago are reacting emotionally). I think show is a bit stunned too. The reaction has been a real repudiation of the "we need to phase out vets asap" approach of Mal (and others). 

Good fucking riddance Mal.

Lola is so unsympathetic a character.  Thank God she's up against the hopeless Summer, or she'd be absolutely irredeemable.  But Summer makes Phyllis seem likeable.

I think the loser today is Kyle.  What a fuck-up he is.  He SAYS Lola is perfect for him, and then after that ridiculous argument in front of everyone where they talk about not having sex, he still cozies up to Dummer. And meets her for coffee the next morning. 

Lola was also stupid by even engaging in this conversation with Kyle in front of Dummer.  But, ah, young love.

Drinki confesses to killing JT but it is a completely different story than what really happened.  Rey Rey doesn't buy it, but still believes she was involved.  

Drinki's story is that she chased JT to Chancellor Park with her fire poker and hit him and he fell into an already dug grave.  Awesome!

I do think that Kyle does sincerely care about Lola (or at least he admires and respects her); but he is definitely still attracted to Summer and his choosing Lola (someone so completely different from Summer) could have more to do with Summer than it does with Lola herself.

Agreed!  Though, it was a pretty good segment thrown together with little time.

They are going to do a tribute show combined with the resolution of Neil's storyline in April.  I think that makes sense.

Abby and Arturo were at the club together and Abby couldn’t resist. They had words and Mia grabbed Abby by back of the head. Mariah and Tessa (who were adorable on their date ) intervened as did Arturo. The club manager showed up and Abby asked for Mia to be instructed on how to act in public then sent home in a car at Abby’s expense.

After Abby and Mia's tussle at the club, Lola decides to walk home and borrows Abby's winter coat (the gift from Arturo) because she left hers at the cabin. Dun dun DUN. On her walk she stops by Crimson Lights, where Mariah and Tessa talk her into hearing Kyle out because Summer is a skank. Lola walks over to the Abbott's, but no answer. She's leaving, walking by the pool, and stops to check her text alert (it's Arturo), when she's suddenly pushed from behind and falls head first, smacking into the diving board. The "mysterious figure" then turns around to leave and stops to pierce the screen of the cell phone with her high heel. Lola gets up stunned, stumbles, then falls to her knees and passes out, falling face first into the pool. Fade to black. 

I expected Mia to hit Lolabby with a car as soon as the coat was offered. Way to go switching up the M.O., show. Though I'm left with questions, mostly about the Abbott pool. Like, why is it so close to their front door? Also, is this a heated pool? Because it's quite obviously outdoors, there looks to be a good amount of water in it, and it's not covered.

I can help with that.  

The pool is close to the front door because otherwise it would be a lot harder for people to fall into.  Now, the pool house, THAT is all the way in the back.

The pool isn't heated, but stays plenty warm because ButtBiscuit pees in it all day long.   And he can write his full name in the snow on command, that's our Beely!

Melissa Ordway is a largely untalented actress.   She was really wooden in the confrontation scenes.  She's not always awful but yesterday was not a good day.   Too bad it was Mia who dunked Lipsla.... Mia is a hoot.  She was great in the fight scene.

She also rocked that red dress.

The cell block tango should be a laugh today.
