S13.E03: Tres Amigas

At this point, I'm watching out of habit.  The Mexico trip was just plain stupid.  They embarrass themselves at the airport and it devolves from there.  I'm not sure it was mentioned but at the bar, Tamra was dancing and a stranger behind her was holding her breasts.  I was quite surprised at this since she is a born-new Christian.

The hot tub scene was also stupid.  I'd be angry if I were next door and Tam is screeching for Shannon to come out and join her.  Tam slips and falls, doesn't stop for a second to think, and then cannon balls into a hot tub breaking her foot.  I don't know how long she remained in the hot tub but ice is the friend here, not wet heat.  

The new woman who wants another daughter?  Yeah, what would her sister say?  I know what I would say--no offing way--find a new surrogate (but I didn't like being pregnant very much).

Shannon may be the only HW I sorta like at this point.  I've hated Vicki since forever and have quit with NJ and Atlanta because I hate their "stars."  50/50 I'm in for the remainder of the season (not that they would care).

WE can't possibly know the damage of living with cameras in the home like that; esp. since we don't see that much footage of the kids! Like Sidney, I'd probably leave! I've never been a fame HO and have always shied away from the camera even though signed up with a modeling agency as a teenager! ;-)

I agree with everyone’s opinion that Tam’s behavior in Mexico was tacky and gross. If I still had children at home I wouldn’t even watch this show while they were awake. I’d wait until they were away or sleeping like I used to do with sex and the city. I can’t figure out why Tam would even think that running around naked for the cameras was ok. It is not appropriate at all for this show, IMO.

I just got a chance to watch this episode, and Shannon in her Spanx had me rolling!  How many of wtf did she have on? From what I could tell she had a bra underneath (beige) and on top (hot pink)of the top piece. How was she even able to breathe? And wouldn't all those layers defeat the purpose? Tamra peeling it off of her in the hot tub made me LOL too!

It's all fun and games until someone breaks a foot.

On vacation and she's still strapped down like she's going to a formal dinner! Shannon's an unsympathetic idiot! She looked so much better when she got out of all that stuff and let it all hang out! Tamra it goes without saying is just a total fame HO running around naked in front of the cameras, then breaking an ankle! Why are some people entertained by aging women acting like drunken idiots ever so often? ;-(

You're right. Josh was not featured on RHOC much, if ever.  Such a sad story of selfish parents. YES THAT IS MY UN EDUCATED, NON PROFESSIONAL opinion of Josh's plight. If anyone thinks a son can be raised without a father figure in their life...no. I realize there are exceptions to the rule but in most cases, we all need a mom and dad however, if you're a girl you need a female role model and boys need a father figure.

I've always promised to avoid those kinds of encounters They almost always wind up embarrassing all concerned! I met a porno star from the 80's several years ago just doing karaoke in a bar I liked going to and told him I was a fan! He didn't want to go there; "it doesn't define me!" I felt like such an idiot! ;-)

He was pretty bad I'm afraid! I wasn't bad back then! I had an unusual voice akin to "disco queen" Sylvester; "You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)" or AL B Sure ("Night & Day")! I'm a counter tenor and can reach notes you can only dream of hitting! lol! ;-)

People will never understand how alcohol (empty calories) can ruin their health and shape! Most do it late at night when it can be the worst for you passing out "in a puddle of sick" as they say across the pond! I can say with certainty that's never been my MO and hope to end it that way! These people have a real need to be plastered ever so often and it's hurting all  of them except Tamra who's a fame HO! Owning a gym to make sure is excessive though! lol! ;-)

He was laughing in the facetime. I like how they are together.  I don't think there's anything wrong with her going away on what is essentially a work function, his is a long term illness. She doesn't need to be constantly by his side. That being said, Jesus Tamra, put on some fricking clothes, your husband might be cool with it but there is no way your kids are!

Just to do a bit of crossover, just finished watching the NY howives. What a difference in scenarios for me! Both groups are older women, both groups in a sunny, lovely vacation spot, both groups drinking a lot. But WHAT a DIFFERENCE! I LOVED the ny crew's day on that lovely island. I loved how they were with each other. It looked like paradise, and I think I would have enjoyed all of their company, doing all of those things, swimming in the beautiful water, eating that food, pranking Ramoner-with her being a good sport!-, drinking tons of wine and laughing. Singing, Talking things out, yet having some moments. I actually wished I was there. THAT'S the way you do it with a bunch of friends. They didn't look like stupid, old hags, trying too hard to look like they were having fun for the cameras. They looked like elegant, mature established women, fit, tan, rich, and lots of fun. I would want to look like that.

until the boat ride back. Then it all turned to shit. Figuratively AND literally!

I never saw her not criticizing him. From the chips he ate, to the wine he didn’t buy enough of, to him drinking tequila, to him not caring for the dog while she was away, to him exercising too much while he was training for the mud run, to him not holding her hand enough while he’s actually holding her hand, to his mother being a bitch, to Lydia being a bitch, to the presents he bought, to the restaurant he took her to...she’s an exhausting complainer. 

I feel sorry for the pain she’s going through, but she really needs to do a little soul-searching. That marriage ending was a shock to no one. They never should have reconciled after his affair. He hated her and she had disdain for him and blamed him for her hangnail. 

 

This, 1000x.  I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again that I cannot understand the love for Shannon. I’ll take Icky and TamRAH any day over her.  Shannon overplays for the camera in everything she does. From her fights with David, her interactions with her kids/Archie, her clockwork indignation at her chosen foe, her high pitched loud old lady voice, etc. etc.  Nothing attractive or amusing about her.  She was so damn annoying at the Mexico airport thinking she was clever and cute to play out that embarrassing tequila scene. Hate her “gosh, I’ve never done this CRAZY thing I’m about to do” with her fake wide eyed, mouth shaped in an “O” look as she fake fumbles for the shots and a tray. Then standing there with another fake “I’m outside my comfort zone but darn it, I’m ready to whoop it up” Fake fake fake fake fake. Did I mention fake??  I realize we don’t know them but I don’t blame David one bit for wanting out. He was wrong in having an affair, he should have manned up and just asked for a divorce without putting his family through all that on national TV. But I can’t imagine coming home to that narcissistic, screeching mess everyday.

Ive been married for almost 30 years and by now, there’s not much either one of us can do to shock the other but I would die before I ever asked my husband to look up my asshole to find a piece of stuck enema. Especially if my marriage was in trouble.  Shannon needs a total personality overhaul before she can hope to find and keep another man. Oh, and maybe a more flattering haircut and voice lessons to lower her register.

Perhaps the stressers of fabricating a serious illness helped her to lose weight, and now that all of that is forgiven, the donuts taste better.  The former police officer isn't in it for her figure or face or personality, clearly, so what the hell?  Indulge Vicky!

Some of these women are making seven figures!  It’s a job, people..

When Gretchen went to the lake, it was different, very different.  He was dying, he was at the end of his life. She was portraying herself as his caretaker, giving him medication etc. Her lake trip was not part of a production trip. .

I think Eddie accepts Tamra as she is by now. He probably doesn't love it; but I think his chill attitude is the main reason she was attracted to him. Simon was always so embarrassed by her and trying to reign her in. I think Eddie just lets her do her thing. 

But I do think the fact that Eddie had JUST had a heart procedure, and is still dealing with a heart issue, makes her antics harder to swallow than usual. I think she should have limited her drinking and tried to have a less risky trip,given that her spouse isn't really in the condition to help her.

I can still remember how he was getting a reprieve by the DA of an issue where all he needed to do was a small amount of community service! He opted for the 5 days in jail IIRC; ANYONE? Amazed that after Tamra took that epic nude slip n slide on the hotel floor, it was something ELSE that caused her to break a bone that night!

The look on the two resort guys' faces as Vicki tried to shush Shannon down from her high decibel shrieking in ninth grade Espanol was priceless.   

I really hope Shannon is seeing a legit therapist (and not only colonic therapists and their ilk) over her divorce.   I know this was filmed only a few months or so after she filed for divorce but I'm kind of surprised on how distraught she still is over David.  The shock that he got a new younger girlfriend so soon?  He had a serious girlfriend during the marriage! I am only shocked that the girlfriend isn't even younger.   The Beador marriage was always awkward AF to watch on this show even during their short lived marital 'Renaissance' and vow renewal era.   Every televised moment of those two together reeked of doom IMO.

No matter how nice Shannon might be, that screeching's a deal breaker and I'd have to tell her so! I would literally pull a "Peggy" to shut her up! Lowering the decibels wouldn't be enough! ;-)

Actually, research shows that children of same-sex parents have the same outcomes as (and, on some variables, slightly better outcomes than) children of different-sex parents.  So that's not necessarily true.  In Josh's case, I think the issue was that his mom was Lauri.

Vicki's outfits are so stressful.  I remember one time they showed her at work, and she was wearing a normal, well-fitting pair of trousers and a blouse, and it was like my whole body physically relaxed.

But I do think the fact that Eddie had JUST had a heart procedure, and is still dealing with a heart issue, makes her antics harder to swallow than usual. I think she should have limited her drinking and tried to have a less risky trip,given that her spouse isn't really in the condition to help her.

I could accept just about ANY stupid antics of my spouse if he/she was bringing home a big, fat paycheck from Bravo (and all of the gigs associated with being a HoWife). Eddie's not making alot of money as a fitness instructor. And now, Eddie probably has to be very careful about OVER doing exercise. I wish him well but THAT is a crap shoot being married to Tamra.
