I must be missing something - seems the Rabbi was implying Jarrett hasn't and won't forgive Roseanne for being racist to her - two times now. Once in her tweet and last night on Hannity. Yet Roseanne knows forgiveness evidently. 

Yesterday Jarrett was just fine about it and made no waves, imo. Unless asking "Roseanne who?" or saying she won't be watching Hannity is an awful thing to say, lol.

BTW - Jarrett and her parents are not Iranian - they lived in Iran Valerie's first 5 years  (she was born there) while her father ran a children's hospital. Then a year in London, then moved here. Roseanne didn't mention she lived there "extensively" as a toddler-

A simple google search bio shows this and a lot more. Even the Rabbi should have done that.

That was beyond embarrassing and ABC should be ashamed of themselves. She constantly talks about civility yet admits to the world that she refers to Hillary - a former senator, first lady and Secretary of State - as “crooked” every time she discusses her and that she hates her. I hope they invite Chelsea Clinton to come on again, just to see if she has the guts to say that to Chelsea’s face (she doesn’t and she won’t). Hillary stood up for Meghan’s family in the past and I’m absolutely disgusted by Meghan’s comments today. Joy asked her what does she call Trump if Hillary is “crooked,” and Meghan sort of trailed off. It speaks volumes of Meghan’s character, at least to me... as if I didn’t already see her in an extremely negative light.

What makes her think she is any better than Trump for using that word to describe Hillary?  I bet she approved of all those vulgar signs about Hillary that we saw at his campaign rallies.

 

All she had to say was I disagree with Hillary but no she has to say she hates her.   Why does she hate her?  What did Hillary ever do to Meghan that would invoke such a reaction?

He was there and easily could have embarrassed MMM but is too nice for that.  During a discussion of his podcast interviews he said he always listens and tries to understand where the other person is coming from, even if they are flat-earthers, and added "we don't have to yell at each other".  Of course MMM didn't wonder if it was directed at her, but remained quiet & respectful for the most part, probably because he is similar in age to her father.

Mehgan signed for another season because this show raised her profile, just like it did for Sherri Shephard, Raven Simone, that Candace girl and Elisabeth Hasselbeck. Once they left  no one really remembers them. Sure, Mehg was known because of her dad but realistically no one paid too much mind to what she said. Now they do. 

Mehgs loves the attention this show has given her and she wont leave unless she's asked to.

To be fair, Sherri is still acting (currently she's in the hilarious Trial & Error), Candace is still doing her Netflix show and lifetime movies and Raven is busy with her show. Out of the three, I remember Sherri since she's on one of my favourite shows, but the others are doing fine for themselves.

this rabbi talking about how Roseanne should be forgiven  -  I saw Roseanne on Hannity's show, she did not give a real apology.  She said things on the order of "I'm sorry if you were hurt", and "I"m sorry if my words were misconstrued".  That's not an apology!  An apology is when you own up to your words/actions and apologize for them.  "I'm sorry for what I said, I know my words were hurtful."  I didn't hear her say anything like that. 

Sometimes it seems like splitting hairs.  But it's not.  It's the difference between apologizing for your own behavior, and apologizing for the other person's reaction.

Meghan also says she hated CNN on the show - yet likes Tapper and appeared on Van Jone's show.  I noted he was was not particularly warm to her the other day despite his kumbaya. He received a lot of crap for having her on and the weak interview.

Also, on the show, she said  she called the New York Times the NY Slime. But likes Maggie Haberman that is their WH Correspondent. And, get this - a political analyst for CNN. 

I don't trust a thing or opinion out of her mouth. I hate her agenda.

What’s funny is that not too long ago Meghan did an interview stating how much she likes Hillary Clinton and that she quote “puts up with a lot of b.s.” Meghan is full of shit, a spin artist, a liar, and a selfish brat. How’s that for nicknames Red state Barbie??

Ugh!  Meghan!  Someone above mentioned that her dad is using "socialism" just by having health care.  MM, herself, is enjoying health care provided by ABC.  MM was recently complaining about the A train which is another socialist endeavor.  She lives in New York and has city supplied water, garbage pickup and a plethora of mass transit.  Socialism, socialism, socialism.  If she really felt that way then why doesn't she live in an area devoid of many socialistic applications?  In my county, just north of Detroit, there are townships that don't supply garbage pickup, any type of water source or sewer source.  No snowplows clean the roads and no city worker trims the shared grass on roads or city areas.  It's not my cup of tea and I live in a completely urbanized and diverse city.  I think she has mentioned that she doesn't like to cook and enjoys ordering in or eating out.

        Interrupting myself to say that I Googled if MM cooked and found that her husband is the cook in the family.............found this very interesting article:

Back to my rant:  If she really wants to show us all how she abhors socialism she can just choose to live in a community that doesn't offer any.

I was also annoyed as hell when she was trying to say that Roseanne should not be a GOPer for MM doesn't want her in HER party.  Well I can Google and see many, many Republicans that don't want MM in their party.  She annoys the hell out of me and both sides of the aisle.

Sunny - I know this happened I think last week but just caught up today.  When they were talking about if the panel and their spouses had their own money in separate accounts...............Sunny had to get all weird and basically go biblical.  I like Sunny, I do.  She has some very archaic views though.

What was so appalling about her turning on Ana is that Ana has always been so supportive of her father. She teared up once defending him against his detractors.  Megan is only loyal to her ideology and those who make her team look good.

Plus, I think ABC will be liable if Joy continues to be targeted openly by that moron and her ilk. Stirring up hate is not enjoyable, educational, or evocative tv viewing.

MM's inconsistencies are catching up to her.  ABC may not care,  but her fellow Repubs won't be as forgiving,  especially with video evidence.  Elephants have long memories.

MM will be confronted with her contradictions someday, and her red neck/chest will belie her nonchalant "I don't care, I've  changed" attitude. Stay tuned.

I stopped watching after June, when the July holiday week was all pre-taped.  I'm just so tired of the news, in general, and needed a break from everything. I am still reading this forum. Sometimes (like now) when the show is actually airing live. 

Sorry to see Sara leaving, but happy for her.  Her personality, I think, is much more suited for GMA.   I may turn the show on for a bit on Friday, just to see her farewell show.

And not surprised, but disappointed, that MM has signed on for another year.  At least that gives me 5 hours a week I won't need to be in front of my tv.  It took Elisabeth years to drive me away from the show.  MM did it in less than a year!
