This pretty much sums up my feelings as well. Sometimes I wonder if I'm contributing to them keeping Meghan on by repeatedly talking about her on here, even though I'm just one viewer. The truth of the matter is she brings conflict to the table and while most of us hate it, ABC is loving it - so far, at least.

I liked Van's answer to Meghan's question about democratic socialism. (What is with her obsession anyway?)  What is right for one district is not necessarily right for another.  It's not a national election, all kinds of people can run. I disagree with his assertion that Dems have to do more to embrace Trump supporters, which is probably futile. They need to concentrate on getting the message out to independents.

They also need to energize the Democratic base. 

I like Van Jones, but, his kumbaya was pissing me off. Dems always bring a knife to a gun fight. Van is an example of that..

Exactly, the base is tired of the Dems being craven, not fighting for their beliefs and playing defense all of the time. They want them to fight and to fight hard and dirty.  Trying to appeal to the other side's better angels is not going to work..

They're talking about trump calling the press "the enemy of the people."  Joy TRIES to make a point, gets a half-sentence in, and Meghan has to jump in and make a reference to the movie "almost Famous".   Joy has to interrupt Meghan's bullshit to finish her own sentence.   I'm sure Meghan believes that she is interrupted as often as anyone else, but this is the pattern I've seen over and over again.  Meghan jumps in, talks over someone, and they have to interrupt HER to finish.

Meghan's shirt-dress with the oversize buttons, her low-cut basketball shoes, her weird little top-knot -  that is an ADORABLE look.  Like a back-to-school look for a girl under the age of 10. But on a grown woman?   NO, honey, not unless you are a very petite woman who weighs less than 130 pounds.

 They were talking about the press and said most journalists are fair and yes that is true.  The problem is the press is made up a lot of non journalists.  The media landscape is made up of hundreds if not thousands of "news sources" filled with people who have a keyboard and internet access and no journalistic integrity.

Meghan "FEELS"  unwelcome walking around NY because she "FEELS" like people will harass her.  

She doesn't say it has happened, just that she FEARS it will.  

I loved the looks from Whoopi and Joy when she said it.  

The way she said it reminded me of growing up in Chicago, and being told over and over again that it was dangerous to step outside certain boundaries, because you will be beat up if you go into other neighborhoods.  Meghan's fears of "the other" that exactly mimics the racism I grew up with.  Don't go into "their" neighborhood, because "they"  will  hurt you!

I've said this before, but Meghan needs to understand and accept her body type and dress for her body.  She is "short-waisted,"  meaning she has a short torso, so her boobs and waist are not that far apart, vertically.    A narrow belt, positioned lower, is a better choice.  Cinching your waist with a wide belt makes your boobs look enormous when you have that body type.

Well Ladies and Germs, I also saw Andy Cohen last night where she (MM) made her big announcement that she has been resigned and also told everyone to bite her ass. My heart died. Oh, and may I just say, on Cohen's show she looked like Dawg the Bounty Hunter's wife, and today she just looks Dawg the Bounty Hunter's daughter.  What is with that bleached COW PATTY looking down on her fat face???? I don't think I can take her for another year, like many, Joy is the reason I watch this stupid show.  ?

True. No one who proudly calls themselves a "Deplorable" will ever come around to seeing and voting Democratic. Trump was absolutely right, he could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and they would find a way to justify it. Democrats need to concentrate on the undecideds and getting out the vote. That's what will be successful. Success will not come by trying to convert people who see everything through their own partisan spectacles.

The body language in that picture is very interesting. Anyone a dentist here? I'd love to see what it means. People are more clustered around Joy. Sunny has her arm around Meghan but she seems more standoffish.

Meghan looks great in that pale blue color. Its flattering. Speaking of which, I saw that movie "I Feel Pretty" the other day (with Amy Schumer). One of the characters in the movie was wearing that Labrador dress. It looked a lot cuter on that lady than when Mehgs wore it. 

 

Edit: I just realized that character was played by Michelle Williams. Dawson's Creek's Michelle Williams! Wow!

It pisses me off that Joy is doing that, though.  I know it is part of the job, but, it still annoys me.

Why is Joy wearing so much Black in the middle of  Summer. I love bright clothing in the summer. 

It is obvious that the ladies love Joy. Look at how they are surrounding Joy. Paula seems to really love her as a friend. I have always enjoyed their bond.  

Megan is trying to be more of a team player. I still don't like her. If she would just chill and just be Megan. Not Megan, the Republican..

I did not like what she said about Jim Acosta. The current administration loves to humiliate him and use him as a whipping boy. I suspect their animosity stems from him being a Latino from CNN, who asks them tough questions.  He always remains cool and professional, despite their vile attacks. Megan could take a cue from him, rather than trash him because he is hated by her tribe.

These kumbaya pics were probably taken because they are wrapping up the season today.  Whoopi couldn't care less so she left as soon as the show was over yesterday, but the rest of the hosts probably got together for a farewell drink before they scatter for the rest of the summer.

I like Sunny but don't like the way her face is because it looks so "off". She reminds me of a chipmunk with her short nose and plump cheeks. It does not look natural. I think she gets Botox shots because when she speaks her lower face doesn't move. I don't remember her looking like this when she used to appear as a guest on the show.
