I'll just say this: I like RSW.  I find him charismatic. I get that with the stupid 6 month taping schedule they have a difficult time writing stories in real time to what viewers end up liking and don't like. CIN is taking off in a big way and I completely understand they are going full throttle to make RSW a leading man front and center. I've even been tolerating making Ben a hero at every turn. But so help me if they retcon that Ben was never actually the necktie killer I'm going to hit the roof.  I will find that to be one of the most ridiculous and infuriating things this show has done in a long time (dont even get me started on this new version of Diana). But arrgh.

I kind of love that Claire is still taping private conversations just to get rid of Haley from Tripp's life.  And I really hate when a new character that we don't know anything about or have any investment in becomes the center of everyone's conversations and they reason they're all living.  This is not the way to endear Haley to the audience.

I like RSW, too.  I don't like Ben and most likely never will but if they change his history to fit somebody's fan club needs I'm........well, to hell with that.

When it comes to just the actors, I enjoy RSW virtually every time I see him.  His other half, whoever it is that plays Ciara, not so much.  I find her pretty unlikable.  

It's weird liking only one half of a couple and that half being a serial killer, but then again, this IS DOOL,  where "weird" is just middle of the road.

My dear boes, it's the big hearted,  beautiful on the inside and out Horton Princess Miss Ciara Brady who gets the job of being one half of Cin.    Claire gets the honor of working with Tripp and Haley :)

I forgot that's how she found out about Rafe/Sami because she taped Tripp/Ciara talking about it.  You would think Tripp would try not to say anything near Claire but I digress.... 

I agree about Haley's intro granted I think the actress is beautiful and a decent singer but that's about it. 

When it comes to storyline ideas for my JJ this is not what I had in mind. I would've had him try and seduce Eve so Jack would see her true colors. Whether its JJ getting revenge on Jack for Haley or he just is taking one for the team to get Jack away from Eve I'll take either and would be a 1000x more interesting than this storyline is.

That's just one I had many other ideas too.

I'm going to go out on a limb as to why the writers are trying to figure out a way for total redemption of Ben.  Many here have said they actually like RSW, but don't like the idea that Ben might be exonerated. I get that, but if you like the actor...and let's face it, soaps thrive on the actor's fan base...the show has a good reason to try and make the character more relatable/likeable for those that see him as a viable character. There's really no other way to make that happen except to re-write history. It may not be done to everyone's liking, but there's only so much the writers can do when they paint themselves in a corner.

Sure, there is. This show has no qualms using doubles, etc. Have Ben have a twin or double without a serial killer history. Voila! (Ideally, the real remedy would be for these hacks to stop being so short sighted in the first place, but what can you do?)

I'm not going to sweat Jordan's secret until I see actual spoilers on it. Maybe it has nothing to do with Ben. Spoilers for next week have been somewhat stingy so far.

Has there been any indication as to how Chloe has been written out?  Hopefully they'll have her go into witness protection or something and not kill off the character.

Yep look at Jon Lindstrom on GH he played serial killer Ryan but they created a twin in Kevin who had his face and had to deal with all the damage Ryan did to everyone. At first he was given a hard time(literally he got punched by almost everyone on the show at one point) eventually they got to know him and he became a respected member of the community had a great romance with Lucy was best friends with two of his brother's victims in Mac/Felicia. 

Plus they always brought back Ryan on occasion to wreak havoc.

However that's just too cliche for this show apparently

The only problem with a twin idea is that I don't think this actor really has the potential to give us a different portrayal. Bonnie/Adrienne, Hattie/Marlena, Susan/Kristen and Tony/Andre only work when the characters are vastly different from each other and the actors involved have the chops to pull that off.

My opinion? The only reason RSW is being kept around is because he's a nice guy behind the scenes (to the degree Deidre roots for him) and has a crazy chiseled physique.

Ben? What's there to like about Ben? He has no character to speak of. And the portayal is so blah I can't say much about it. If RSW infused something of the character's backstory into him - an accent or tone or cadence that tells us he is from a rural town...a life on the run making him physically uncomfortable with intimacy in a way that is reflected in his body language...an intense shame over being a killer that shows in his eyes - then I could say that this performance could give way to something opposite in the case of a twin.

Well you have a point there Jon Lindstrom is fantastic and RSW while charismatic to me isn't that great acting wise. He plays unhinged well but that's about it for me.

I rather see JJ mix it up with Eve or if he's really asking about the fire .. Jordan I always wanted them to interact before Jordan went crazy they would be the flip side to Ben/Abby. That alone would give them tons of built in conflict.

Maybe. Ron was mad that NBC or whomever released the cabin photo with Claire in SOD then the cabin fire promo before the East Coast airing of Days happened. I don't know if it extends to bloggers/press being told to play it closer to the vest with spoilers.

Also, yesterday should have been Tyler C's last ep so I expect Chloe to wake up in Brandon as Stefan's arms today or something like that.

Why does everyone keep going through Claire's jewelry box? Especially JJ, of all people. Boundaries, people! And if Claire's story is that she's taken up stealth smoking (lol) I don't know why JJ would be "troubled". Kinda weird since he's typically not involved at all with those characters. I know it's due to Haley but it still seems strange that he would give two shits about Claire having a lighter. In fact, I was taken aback for a moment yesterday when he referred to Tripp as his cousin.

I don't think he's going after Claire as much as he's probably going after Eve(who's conspiring with Claire) and wants to get dirt on her to sink Jack's campaign but stumbles onto Claire's dirt instead.

....what? That she's the Necktie Killer...or that she's Ben's Mom?

It had better not happen, but if she does end up being the Retconned Killer, it's insane to me that they would drop this bomb after Chad and Abigail are off the show. It's insane that Ben and Abigail were on the show together for months and barely had any contact, and this show is insane in general, but to think of them completely rewriting history like that after the two most affected characters, arguably, are nowhere to be found.....that....that's just special.

A lighter is innocuous by itself. Perhaps, Claire smokes weed.  It sounds very lame for that to be the reason for JJ to become suspicious of Claire..
