The preview went very fast.  Wondering did we see Jordan or Stefan in the preview?

wheres Vivian?

Brady deserves to be cussed out but I really enjoy when they act like loving brothers .

Jordan won't start until way after until 2019. Stefan was shown in two snippets: carrying Sami out of the Dimera mansion and something that looks obvious for the Halloween episode.

It didn't sound like James Scott (the person did sound groggy so idk) but if we do see EJ I expect it to be a recast anyway. If it turns out to be Jack after all would the promo indicate that Sami thinks she found EJ but its not? The promo went by so fast but the part with Sami was confusing. The voiceover is Sami saying "my husband is really alive". They first showed someone from the back in a wheelchair and you can see their hair and that they are in regular clothes but when they show Sami by the hospital bed and she says "EJ" and he responds with "Samantha" that person is all bandaged? Confused!

Kristen...just stop. Brady ain't worth it.

It's Brady's sex magic, she's helpless to resist!

My guess is the "further commitment" Will makes to Paul is them moving in together?  Now I'm thinking about Cristian/Jenn/Al on OLTL, though I think Al was faking his injuries for most of it?

In the British soap opera Emmerdale, troubled teen Aaron Livesy denied his homosexuality for a long time (he once tried to kill himself) until he fell in love with Jackson Walsh.  They had a troubled relationship, including Aaron beating Jackson up and being tried for a hate crime until he admitted in court that he was gay and was attracted to Jackson.  Even after that, they had an on-off relationship.  Once, during a bitter fight, Jackson told Aaron that he was through, and drove off.  Aaron called him to try to get back together, and Jackson's car was hit by a train and he wound up quadriplegic.  Aaron was devastated and felt he had to make it up to Jackson, and decided to take care of him.  Jackson's mother showed up, she was a great character that really enlivened the show.  But Jackson grew more and more bitter about being taken care of hand and foot (literally), and decided he wanted to die.  Aaron and Jackson's mother agreed to help him to commit suicide, and when Jackson died, they had to go to court to be tried for manslaughter.  THAT is the kind of storytelling Days could do.

Again, I wonder how much POV we'll get on Paul adjusting to being paralyzed versus it just being the Thing keeping Will and Sonny apart.

If his scenes run out before December or around that time I’d say the chances are incredibly slim that option one will get much if any attention.

Pretty much this entire year all of Paul’s decisions and choices had to do with Will and Sonny so I doubt they’re going to change course now, he’s going to continue to be the “obstacle” that they must overcome to finally be together until they eventually write him out.

Personally I am convinced that is why Christopher Sean decided to leave the show, because they just weren’t using Paul for anything more than being the bounced around placesetting for Will and Sonny, he just didn’t have a life unto himself.

IMO, it’s been a waste of a great, rare, talent that held some exciting potential once upon a time.

‘The least they could do is have him, somehow, end up hightailing it out of town with MBB or Derek or a secretly bisexual Xander...

I just had a dark thought: would they kill Nicole off?

In trying to figure out how they would wrap up the Nicole Eric reunion while still leaving him free to pursue something with Sarah Horton, it occurred to me that at this point in Ericole's relationship, they are basically soulmates. The show has thrown every obstacle they could between them and dragged this thing out for so long it's taken on Mythic proportions. It's basically now or never for Nicole and Eric, and since Arianne Zucker hasn't been signed to a full-time contract, my guess is they're going to want to free the character of Eric up to have new stories from here on out. Plus, we know AZ is pissed that they bumped off Daniel because he's her hubby or boyfriend or whatever, so it wouldn't surprise me at all if she would come back just to wrap up her storyline once and for all. And didn't I hear that she doesn't enjoy working with Greg...?

I'm just getting a "Bo" kind of vibe from the situation. I really hope I'm wrong though.

I don't think it's so much that AZ didn't want to work with GV,  it was more that she wanted to work with SC since they were dating.

To which  I say - to this day - too damned bad what AZ wanted. She was paid to act, not dictate her love interests. Either way, Nicole/Eric were sabotaged the last time because of it.

  • Love 8

Nice promo. Did I just see some JJ/Gabi in that?  I’m hating on her pretty hardcore right now, but I’m here for that. I’d rather have Theresa, but I’ll happily settle for a redo of their relationship.

Also, I love that Chad will be helping Abby deliver  the baby. I love me some old school.

Please don’t tell Eric you’ve moved on, Nicole. It’s horrible, but I’d rather them have an epic reunion then have her tragically die a Salem death.

The rumors about AZ wanting to be paired with Shawn C. always annoyed the hell out of me. Not only because it ruined Nicole and Eric but its just plain unprofessional. It was pretty well known that for years Kristian Alfonso and Peter Reckell didn't get along. What did they do? They sucked it up and ACTED and did a damn good job hiding on camera any issues that were there.

I'm very confused.  Back during her days as Mimi, many people loved her.  Why is it now filling so many of you with dread that she's coming back?  Am I missing something?

Farah Fath was charming in her original run as Mimi. Rex and Mimi were super hot, they had supercouple chemistry, in my opinion.

Years later on One Life to Live, she was an unmitigated disaster, an embarrassment.  She ate the show along with another Rex...

  • Love 7

I didn't care much for Fath when she was on OLTL.  Her acting was pretty bad and I really disliked her unflattering haircuts and clear, shiny lip gloss.  However, on Dirty Soap she was funny, self-deprecating and (to use Apprentice's word) charming.  Obviously the latter was supposed to be her and not a character, but I'm assuming even on a reality show people are conscious of the camera and not completely their natural selves.  Anyway, I'm curious to see her as a different character.  She can't be worse as Mimi than she was as Gigi, right?

I've never really had a problem with Farrah either as Mimi or as Gigi. I did have to laugh to Mimi calling Chloe a bitch, because Chloe was very much the innocent virginal girl with Jan Spears forcing Mimi to help her stream a voyeuristic shower video of her. Chloe really wasn't treated as a bitchy bad girl type until much later on, when she had post-partum depression and then became a prostitute.

But yeah, I don't think there would really be any love lost between Chloe and Mimi. However the porn website deal did eventually push Chloe towards Brady because she couldn't face Phillip after that Last Chance Blast reveal, so for that I'm grateful for that storyline because I fucking loved Broe.

I remember thinking Kyle Lowder was so unfortunate looking when he first came on as angry 19-year old Brady, but then slowly started finding him hot, especially once Broe got started in their romance. Man, I hope he and Nadia get to share a scene. Good memories. I loved that ship. (Well, obviously, not with Eric Martsolf's Brady. I find that actor just too creepy for some reason.)

Is Paul going to be recast? Because I don't see how they can carry on this stupid "triangle" when he leaves town. Maybe Brady blabs the truth to him and he dumps Will on his way out of Salem.

Well, seems like Leo is back and it looks like they’re giving him a mother played by Judith Chapman.

Wow really I mean I knew Leo was back but didn't know he was getting a mother after JE left didn't she play anjelicia?

She played Anjelica and it is a shame that Ron killed her off for his doppelganger story.  With Jack coming back, Anjelica should be in the story and this could usher in Alex as well.

Ooh, it would be funny as hell if Nicole is hooked up with Xander.  :D

It still feels to me like they're setting up an Abe and Sheila pairing.

Why does every Black woman who is not related to Abe has to become his love interest? I would love Ron to explore who Sheila is, before attaching her to somebody.

I like both Abe and Valerie, but together they're not as interesting as they are separately.  Pairing them with other people might solve that.  Too often the only screen time JR/Abe gets is when he's playing the stable dad, friend, boyfriend, mayor.  It'd be great to see him challenged by someone like Sheila.  Not sure who that leave for Valerie, though.  It's too bad this show doesn't introduce some new players and give overused characters (Rafe, Hope, Brady, Abigail) a nice, long rest.

Val is boring and not played by a good actress. Sheila is played by a better actress who is primarily known for her music. Go figure but if they flesh out Sheila and make her more sympathetic I can see her with Abe.

I love Val, but I do think she is boring with Abe.  Abe and Sheila would be interesting, especially since the show is already so campy.  I think Val deserves some younger hottie.

The dull one is Abe.

I've wondered about this since I've only been watching Days for a few years.  Abe was still with Lexie and they were largely on the backburner when I started watching, then once Renee/Lexie left Abe was rarely seen.  He had a short lived thing with that nurse, the one who was always propping Dr. Tan, but it wasn't much of a story.  Anyway, I always assumed that TIIC just didn't know what to do with Abe because this show has gone through so many writers who focus on their favorites and leave everyone else in the cold, but maybe it is the character that's the problem.  Which sucks, because I really do like James Reynolds.

I agree. Plus, the show never really wrote for their Black characters.   Renee Jones as Lexie had one meaty story throughout her run on the show.  They always had Lexie cheat on Abe as a vehicle to give them story.

I too like James Reynolds. I liked Abe with Faye, Nicole's mother.  The show should have built up the Carvers more.
