I think not. The Tinder scandal happened over the early to mid summer, and it sounds like they're skipping over it to the fall wedding.

 

Although, they were filming at the time that Ryan and Mackenzie briefly separated, so we might see that. That was in late August.

 

I think Ryan and Mackenzie's reconciliation and reenacted wedding are probably the surest signs he's relapsed. They were paid additional money for the wedding, which I think Ryan was extra motivated to get.

I mean, if i was in Hudson's shoes, I'd be asking my mom to take me to Mimi Jen's rather than staying around Ryan and Mac, too....

I would side eye any woman that wants to date Ryan, the same way I would side eye any man that wanted to date Jenelle or Amber, but if they're childless, it's only their own lives they're messing up (provided they didn't do anything harmful to Ryan's, Amber's or Jenelle's offspring while dating the parent). But when you bring a kid into that mix, you're just a shitty parent, plain and simple. That's also true if you intentionally procreate with said deadbeat reality player. I hate myself for doing this but I checked out her personal page. It appears that below her December 7th entry, there is a picture of her wearing hospital scrubs and she has an employee ID badge. So it appears as though she is holding onto some type of employment, although I'm not sure how often she works.

I still don't understand any of the other choices she's made in the past six months, but it is encouraging that there are signs that she could be gainfully employed.

Agreed, @druzy. One of her tweets said she was "looking into" nursing school, and it was fairly recently. I guess it's possible she got some kind of job as a nursing assistant in preparation for trying to get into nursing school (from what I understand, nursing school is highly competitive and she may have thought having some experience in the medical field would help make her more marketable). She does seem to have some professional ambition (outside of being a thirsty famewhore) so I guess that it's possible.

 

ETA: checked out her blog. She said she's in school for nursing, not looking into nursing schools. I am guessing that's a school badge then, not an employee badge.

 

Also, she said Ryan went to college. Pretty sure she means a certification program at a vocational school, because Maci said in her 16 and pregnant episode that Ryan had been out of school for awhile and he was only 20 then.

Agree. It's very weird how she phrased it, like she was leaving to go to work (and didn't she work for a bank when she and Ryan met? Dinner time is an odd time to *start* a shift at a bank), but still had time to go out to eat. I think she must have meant that he asked her out to dinner at a later time, not that she went right then.

 

But still, I find it super weird. Yes, girls and boys can meet at a gym. But, generally, there's like, prolonged eye contact over the squat bar or some mild flirting over the free weights. I have never in my life heard of a guy asking a girl out just as they happened to cross paths for the first time.  I would think even if I were single, and the most studly, captivating guy asked me out as I was passing him to walk into the grocery store, I'd be pretty taken aback. And I would probably assume he was trying to sell me something under the guise of taking me out on a date. Or that he wore skin suits while at home. Also, double bullshit on Ryan being charming and charismatic.

 

I think this is supposed to be a "meet cute" story where Ryan was just so blown away by Mackenzie that he had to ask her out on the spot, lest he not see her again and miss his chance.
