She was.  I had a feeling it was a kitten or puppy.  This confirms it.

The pandering, attention-seeking, sophomoric behavior is nauseating. Was simply announcing that she'd adopted a kitten too taxing for her wanton social media sensibilities ? Is Famy afraid that if EVERYTHING she posts doesn't include some smarmy, wink-wink, cutesy "hook" that she'll fall into obscurity ?

She reminds me of women who post picture after picture of themselves wearing what are obviously size 2 (or zero !) clothes while the caption invariably reads "Ermahgerd, you guys !!! I'm soooooo fat !!!!"

My very least favorite personality characteristic is disingenuousness, and Famy has that in lash-batting, fake smile, fake laugh, fake cry spades.

JURY DUTY.  It just occurred to me we have never heard a word about any of them serving on a jury, have we?  We know they are politically active, but have they ever been called for jury duty?  I suppose Michelle could get out of it because of having 75 kids at home, but what excuse would all the others use?  Or maybe they show up, but in the interview for jurors say their religious beliefs wouldn't allow them to do x, y, and z.

Could you imagine though? It would be like having 10 year olds serve. Good is good and bad is bad. Oh and the fact that just about everything in the world is bad. And no need to provide a bible for swearing in, they'll just bring their own, which they'll be using in the deliberation room. The courts will probably need to develop a secret Duggar strike code so neither side would have to waste a strike to dismiss them from duty.

The judge has ask us to end the jury duty talk unless grandma or Amy are called in be on a jury. I do not believe one of the howlers or lost girls will be asked in the near future to sit in on a trial. The mods will take out their gavels to delete or hide any off topic jury duty discussion. You may all sit down now. Thank you.

Just thinking about the importance of physical appearances in the Duggar home.  We know the girls are expected to look their best (their best being Duggar defined as long side hair, thin body, great bleached teeth,  and full makeup with lots of eyeliner).  Now onto the boys.  OK so the receding hairline is hereditary related so that's not fixable at their age - but they don't seem to be pressured to maintain slimness like the girls are and the acne is just ignored and untreated it would seem.  Knowing that JB sees any male, including his own sons, as competition I'm guessing that he  really doesn't care about treating their acne and probably gets an ego boost thinking of himself as better looking than them.  The boys acne problem I think is JB's purposeful negligence cause he has this thing about being the best.

There is propecia/rogaine. That helps a lot of men keep, or regrow some hair. Kinda sad that they start needing it at 17, though. None of the kids, male or female, got much help with acne. The girls just put on a ton of foundation.

Less serious side effects may include:

impotence, loss of interest in sex, or trouble having an orgasm;

abnormal ejaculation;

swelling in your hands or feet;

swelling or tenderness in your breasts;

dizziness, weakness;

feeling like you might pass out;

headache;

runny nose; or

skin rash.

The sexual side effects of finasteride (decreased libido, trouble having an erection, ejaculation problems) may continue after you stop taking this medication. Talk to your doctor if you have concerns about these side effects.

Well this could be just the thing those boys need!!!

My husband and son both lost their hair very young. They just shave their hair down to about a quarter-inch and look badass. Of course, they aren't required to wear those Gothard-approved Kewpie Doll hairdos.

I think Jana would look great with a hairstyle like Jennifer Aniston.  She has the face that would really go well with the hairstyle, middle part, somewhat angled and framing her face.  I don't think it's on the Gothard approved list of hairstyles though so it'll never happen.  Unless of course JB gets desperate enough to unload her and 'give her away' to some no-where guy which probably won't happen either because she's such a workhorse for the family.

Jana's hair seems to be getting shorter, which I take as a good sign. I doubt Daddy has decided she should have shorter hair, because he likes it long and curly - eeewww - so it looks like Jana's being allowed to make a decision of her own and act on it. And it looks very nice. She has always looked the cleanest and most put-together of all the girls, IMO.

And doesn't your new hair fall out if you quit taking it?

That adverse effects list reads practically like a boilerplate for all scripts. ETA except there's no mention of death.

JimBoob is the gift that keeps giving.

Poor kids. It's like they can't catch a break.

Amy's a victim too! Of cyberbullying!

Oh, and her main page has a link to http://www.sweetrachelle.com/- she's gonna hock her crap online.

Amy: "I can’t tell you how many nights black tears would just roll down my face at night."

Maybe if she washed her make-up off at night her tears would be clear. Just saying.

I've given it to many, many men and never seen those side effects. Pretty much every med has a list a mile long of possible side effects. My point being, the Duggar boys have options in the looks department. I don't wanna see any more of them morph into Josh.

I've been thinking about Amy and I say she will never be shunned as long as Grandma is in the picture. I don't think that Mary would want to shun any grandchild and she loves Amy and Deanna why would she go against them?

There is a huge difference between a child being bullied by kids at school and an almost-30-year-old woman being "cyber bullied" because she is a desperate famewhore. Give me a break. Then again, based on her writing, she doesn't come off as very bright, or at the very least, she is very immature. If I didn't know better, I would think her blog was written by a teenaged girl.

So, what exactly is she selling? I clicked on her link, but there is no website.

Yes (ETA: from what I've seen).  And, at least for Rogaine it theoretically doesn't work on the front "widows peak" hair - only the back. I don't know why, but that's what it says on the package and it's held true for my husband.

From the Rogaine site. I believe the same is true for minoxidil.

"GETTING THE MOST FROM ROGAINE® PRODUCTS

What happens if I stop using ROGAINE® products?"

Those guys are pretty young and I hope they do choose other options. That would be a lotta' years watching for side effects only to perhaps lose "progress" along with their health.

And it's because of those long lists of contraindications that I wonder how counterproductive tv advertising can be. But now they race through them so fast I usually mainly only catch, "...or death."

Poor Jordyn, Irish twin to the miracle St Josie, the marvel of medical science, the one who got about 5 times as much screen time in the opening credits as Jordyn. A footnote who drew the short straw of Jessa as a sister-mom. The most lost of the lost girls. Johannah has personality, Jennie has looks/giant puppy dog eyes, Josie has attention, what does Jordyn have?

Kokapetl, I feel bad for her as well. At least Jenny had a caring Sister-Mom, whereas Jessa barely tolerated her buddy group. I don't fault her for that, because those were Michelle's children to raise, not Jessa's, but poor Jordyn got screwed in the love and attention department.

Maybe shorter, but the huge poof at the back is getting bigger and more ridiculous IMO.

Oh dear. I'll have to check out this pouf. Hadn't noticed it, but then I tend to listen to the Duggars, more than watch them.

When I think of their ages, I can't help but think of Michelle talking as if she's moved into a new season of life with no young children to raise. She acts as if she's an empty nester as many weddings occur. Yeesh. Two six-year-olds. The mind reels.

In that Digging In With the Duggars crapfest, Michelle is reading to the grandkids and actually says "It reminded me of when Jim Bob and I had little ones." Josie was like three at the time.

That is so sad. What a disconnect from reality.

And I'm guessing she says that crap in front of the kids.

I might have to watch the Digging In crapfest. Does It move faster than Counting On?

I'd just like to point out it wasn't Jana, Jill or Jessa's job to raise their siblings. If the Howlers or Lost Girls are suffering because of their upbringing, that's 100 percent on their parents not their siblings.

I call Jana's back hair pouf "The Mormon Bump". The first time I ever noticed entire groups of women all sporting that awful pouf was when the Fundamental Latter Day Saints had their scandal!

The Children of God?

The higher the hair the closer to God.

I think it's called the Pentecostal pouf.

Though I doubt that's what she was going for. Unless points could be scored...

What she has, according to the Duggar facebook page 'Happy Birthday' post for her, is a fantastic future as an AuntyMom or dutiful wife with heaps of children who gets all the chores done with joyful availability (for chores and for hubby). (Of course, that's just what they said, because they don't have a clue what she has, or what she likes, only what she has been programmed to pretend to like.)

From the post (I don't know how to link it):

"You love to hold babies and be a helper anywhere, laundry, dishes, cleaning, organizing, playing with younger ones and helping other mommies with their little ones!!"

I never noticed them until Sarah Palin. It left me with a permanent opinion about them.

What the ever-loving hell? To a seven-year-old? Why am I surprised that the only "interests" this child has are homemaking? When I was 7, my mom had a baby and I loved to hold her and play with her (now we go to the casino together; I was a subpar sister mom) but I had other stuff I loved to do also. This is disgusting. Good thing this isn't the 19th century, or they might get to mention that, before she is able to enjoy herself doing all of the fun things in this list, she loves to go down in the coal mine and shovel scrap into a great big wheelbarrow. (cleaning? organizing? a just-turned-seven-year-old? WTF?)  If this isn't the description of a child laborer/slave, I don't know what is.

And they never ever ever ever mention anything of an intellectual nature in these birthday wishes. So their view of schooling is just about the same as that of the evil Scrooges who sent the little kids of their society down those mines. They don't give a crap about education. Or their children. The kids get absolutely zero encouragement to use their brains in any way, shape or form. It's truly outrageous.

That's heartbreaking.

They're nothing but broodmares.

I've paid so much attention to the olders' snark that I have not fully considered the youngest. The Doomed
