Jessa, Ben and Their Brood: Making a (Diaper) Mountain out of a Mold House

The Duggars post about politics on social media frequently, but these social media posts are not an invitation to discuss politics here in this forum. This rule extends to Duggar adjacent families, friends, associates etc. Such discussions are a violation of the Politics Policy.

I understand with recent current events there may be a desire to discuss certain social media postings of those in the Duggar realm as they relate to politics- this is not the place for those discussions. If you believe someone has violated forum rules, report them, do not respond or engage.

I will say that Spurgeon reads quite well, so there is that. That Christian time(or whatever it was called)was brutal. That's where I have to say, those poor kids. Their day just seems so boring. I could only think how much fun they would be having at a real school with FRIENDS. They did get to go to Lowe's, so at least they have field trips....

I believe Jessa had Spurge practice reading the story/passage before she began recording or it was already known to him.  That said, he seems on track for reading and memorizing and she is organized and calm with the children at least while filming.  Catechism is the rote memory work they did in the morning.  That's a gift from Ben's reformed view.  It's far too Catholic for IFB members.

The one staring at Spurge looks like she is plotting.  The other girl appears like she is looking at a booger.

Ivy, staring at Spurge, is smart as a whip and is likely plotting something. Fern, who appears to march to the beat of her own low key drummer, is likely looking at a tiny fluff with the wonder of a toddler.

Fern is unusual looking but a gorgeous little girl.  I don’t think she looks a thing like Ben, Jessa or any of her siblings.

The bride, known on Instagram as @godgirlmyla, is all of 18. Hasn't even graduated yet.

Looking at her IG page, she seems to be an immature 18 year old.  About her wedding she says, “Funnest day ever!”  Call me Negative Nancy, but I don’t have high hopes for any longevity in that marriage.  The Ben Seewald children were in the wedding party.

Ivy turns 5 and Ben turns 29.

We see Ben open a box of candles, as he apparently loves candles. Usual opening of gifts for Ivy. One a day for a week.

My observations:

I don't think the kids feet are ever clean. I absolutely cringe with them playing outside barefoot with wood chips and whatever else is crawling around out there.

I always think Spurge looks scared or something to that nature. That and bored. I feel for the kid.

Ben is just eww. I don't know what it is, but no thanks..lol

I weep for all the kids futures.

Just watched the video. The birthday part starts with Ben doing a commercial opening a box of candles of which at least 3 are a tobacco scent combined with others.

I don't know what Ivy likes and I don't think Jessa does either. Fern handles her jealously of all the gifts like a champ and says she thinks her birthday is "lost". George is barely shown.

The video spans one week - apparently not one of those days included bath day.

wtf? Why are the footboard and headboard missing?

I noticed that too. Having one side open, although not really safe, makes sense if Jessa is still nursing, but it should be scooted over to her bed. Having two open ends makes no sense at all.

Its like a backwards bed - two sideboards, rather than a headboard and footboard.

I have yet to meet a 6 month old who is safe in a bed or half of a crib.

You got some good screenshots. I kept rewinding to make sure of what I was seeing.  At first I thought ok it’s up against the bed with that side open kind of like a cosleeper situation. But no, it’s crazy.

She's probably started training Ivy & Fern to be sisters moms so they need easy access to the baby.

Originally I thought it was wedged in so that the other furniture made an impromptu head and footboard, but there's enough of a gap for the baby to get tangled up or stuck quite easily.

Yeah, if he falls in between the bed and the wall and Ben/Jessa fail to wake up, that's a dangerous situation. I'm sometimes amazed all of the Duggar children and grandchildren have made it out of infancy and childhood. They claim to love children so much but they don't always keep them as safe as they should.

Remember Jill showing how to put perch a car seat on an umbrella stroller?  She took a lot of heat for that, if I remember correctly.  Jessa has been raised being taught how to do a lot of dangerous things.  I'm sure she didn't give it a second thought.  Nothing seems to happen to any of the kids.  And if the baby gets stuck, she will be sure to video it.

Plexiglass without a smudge, speck of dirt, or reflection? Maybe the crib comes with plexiglass, but I have a hard time believing its inserted in that crib.

Online ads for the crib show the ends to be remarkably transparent.  However, there is no way George isn't big enough to make it to the end of the crib and smear baby juice all over everything, not to mention the rest of his siblings getting their grubby paws all over it.

It seems like this kind of crib is meant for daycare centers where an attendant is watching over multiple infants since it gives them the ability to keep all of them in view at the same time. Not seeing much of an advantage with a single baby at home..
