Jessa, Ben and Their Brood: Making a (Diaper) Mountain out of a Mold House

Message added by Scarlett45

The Duggars post about politics on social media frequently, but these social media posts are not an invitation to discuss politics here in this forum. This rule extends to Duggar adjacent families, friends, associates etc. Such discussions are a violation of the Politics Policy.

I understand with recent current events there may be a desire to discuss certain social media postings of those in the Duggar realm as they relate to politics- this is not the place for those discussions. If you believe someone has violated forum rules, report them, do not respond or engage.

Really, Ben, you're a boring young man.

Ben is always hanging around the house with the womenfolk and the babies, because he has nothing better to do all day.  He says he wants to be a minister, but can't handle going to seminary until after the baby is born.  (He's been married a year with no job except being Jim Bob's handyman.)  He tried posting some sermons on YouTube, but he's not a good speaker.  So, he tried interviewing people who might have something to say, but he'll never make it as a talk show host.  I think his only hope is to get a job with ATI.

What exactly do Bin and Jessa do besides loll around the TTH? There can't be that much to do for JB's properties besides mowing lawns and collecting rent, so how does that provide full time employment for Bin, Si, JD and Joe? I don't expect a 20 year-old to have the world by the balls, but there's no reason for Bin not to have a full time job.

Jessa has cancelled her October 17th Women's Show appearance. This was posted on their website::

Due to unforseen circumstances, Jessa Duggar Seewald is unable to attend the Southern Women's Show on Saturday, October 17. Appearing in her absence will be siblings Jinger and Josiah Duggar.

Did she change her mind about traveling so close to her due date? Is she feeling sheepish after she and Ben bombed at their last appearance? Is the baby coming early? What gives???

I want to Bart Simpson strangle people who refuse to hold down a job, go to school, basically be adults, because they're planning a wedding, pregnant (healthy pregnancies), have a newborn AND a stay at home spouse/parent. WHAT DO THEY DO ALL DAY? (Take selfies) HOW DO THEY PAY FOR EVERYTHING (mooching or in debt). Grow up.

Jinger and Josiah are more marketable at the moment. Both might be teasing fans with possible courtships. I can't imagine Jinger speaking anywhere. Josiah, I can see being a good speaker. Jinger will just say "yeah, Jesus, uh huh, sinner, what he said, courtship" while rolling her eyes and bitch smirking the whole time.

When Josiah spoke at his graduation party, I was quite impressed with how confident and articulate he sounded. He's the one I could actually see having a tv ministry or public speaking career, not marble-mouthed Bin.

I'm guessing Jessa is feeling a lot more tired and uncomfortable than she expected herself to be, so she decided to stay home. She looked like she was ready to pop in the last picture I saw of her.

  • Love 3

I'm sure Jinger and Josiah won't take spontaneous questions, just prepared drivel. I would love to hear Josiah talk about courtship, Josh, etc. Especially since Josh was set up as advising Josiah. I'd also like to hear him explain being a southern woman.

Jinger will just tease us about Lawson.

Maybe Jessa's in labor?

Or they're filming and had to cobble together a baby shower for the cameras before it was too late? TLC money >>>>> Southern Women's Show money.

Maybe Josiah is being sent on a scouting mission to find himself a good ole Southern Fundy.

From what I understand, these shows are VERY mainstream. They had the dancing firemen last weekend on the same stage as Jessa (although not at the same time...THAT would have been worth watching!)

Maybe Josiah is saying he is scouting for a Southern Fundy, but is hoping to snag a dancing fireman.

Or a southern dandy...a fireman might be too macho. In my mind it's someone like Cooper, from Southern Charm...except probably about 25 years younger.

Well, I'm certainly interested to hear what Josiah Duggar has to say about southern womanhood.

I'm betting he's pretty well versed in the subject. Heheh. Out of curiosity, is Arkansas considered part of the south, or is it more midwest? I am sad to say that I have actually been there (to Fayetteville, even...and yes I was hoping to spot a Duggar or 3, and didn't) and have no idea.

For fundies, feminism really is just a thing that happened to other bad people, isn't it? who are going to hell.

^fixed. Because if you were a good woman, you wouldn't want autonomy or control over your own body.

It's actually kind of horrifying, how closely their thinking about this tracks the reasoning behind the SBC's support of racial segregation as a godly practice.

I lived there for 14 years and seldom heard natives call it the Deep South but rather the Mid-South. Then again, I lived in the far northern part of the state just across the river from Memphis. I Am Not a Geographer.

Geographically its more mid-south but culturally it's deep south.

I swear if he talks about modesty and how men are visual and women should be respectful of that and cover themselves up accordingly...I won't be surprised.

Actually, since it's Josiah, I would be surprised.

In an alternate universe, a Joshiah Duggar is planning to come out at the Southern Woman's Show, stealing Princess Jessa's baby thunder.

Werk and serve and face.

But you do know that Jessa loves that it takes two Duggars to replace her. She's the only one with that social value.

I will entitle this post " how I went to the Southern women's show because I can't read and didn't want to be a crappy mother" by Nc socialworker.

So I ended up at the show. Anyhoo it's basically a bunch of vendors selling things aimed at women ( make up, hair products, jewelry, clothes , wine ) with a very small stage. I ended up buying a 150 dollar flat iron that changed my life so it's all good.

The end

Thank you, NC SOCIAL WORKER for taking one for the group. That is a truly funny story!

They need their People cover, damn it!

So she says. I'm sure that date was massaged a bit, it being their anniversary.

I agree. For all we know Jessa delivered on schedule. They likely created an Anniversary due date because it was the cutesy sort of thing their Pinterest-obsessed leghumpers would go "awwwww" over. Since babies are unpredictable, going into labor a week or two early wouldn't be unusual or make people suspect she was lying from the get-go.

Hey ya'll post images or links to where you are seeing the pics of the relatives in a convoy to the hospital! I wanna see, and I don't know where to find this stuff like you sleuths!

The bulk of the Seewald family on the road:

Ben's other sister on the road who states that she is on her way to see Ben and Jessa:

Why would the Seewalds need to go to Fayetteville? Ben and Jessa live in Springdale in grandma's mold house...I bet that's why Jill and Derick were still in the USA because this was a more accurate due date; they are filled with "untruths", aren't they? Hopefully all is well with baby Seewald and Jessa didn't need some emergency

medical intervention.

Jessica didn't say Fayetteville. That's my bad. She just said she's going to see Ben and Jessa.

And I agree. Jill and Derick stayed in the U.S. because they knew that Jessa was going to have the baby "early," and it makes good television for Jill to safely deliver her sister's "premature" baby in the middle of the night.

Now Jessa can have her very own 'My Scary Premature Delivery' people magazine cover.

Edited by Guest

I hope it went OK. There's so much pressure on Jessa to have a good TV-worthy delivery. It's gonna save the family fortune, after all. Jill's gotta look like she knows what she's doing, too. it'll be fun watching them try to share the glory of the birth.

I'm sure it will leak before Jessa wants it too. She has that kind of luck.

  • Love 6

You guys are so smart!

Of course that is why the Dillards are still here.  Of course it will be filmed, therefore she must only tell when told she can tell her good news.  Of course Jill will be the hero and deliver baby "Qunicy" before they get to the hospital/get to the midwife.

Hopefully this is not another toilet birth.

Well, I'm certainly interested to hear what Josiah Duggar has to say about southern womanhood.

Really.  Why is he going??  Apparently there was backlash at the last Southern Women's Convention about Jessa not being a good representation of Southern Women, however, if Jinger & Josiah are taking her place how are they any better?  Jinger has to have a male escort to keep her accountable?  Like there won't be backlash from that?  They should just ditch the Duggars altogether.

If Jessa had the baby he or she may have been born on my son's birthday.  I'm betting that she's having (or had) a girl based on the name Quincy, wherever that came from, only because all of the male babies get a biblical name and all of the female babies get a non biblical name.  I suppose females aren't worthy of biblical names for some reason.  Men wrote the bible after all.

  • Love 2

Is two weeks considered premature, though? I thought 38 weeks was full term. I wouldn't know with my own kids because mine were all past 40 weeks.

I don't think so, but knowing the Duggars, it will be made to sound very dramatic on newsstands.

Edited by Guest

Well given the Lamar Odom situation, I don't think that Jessa could have given birth at a worse time, publicity wise.  No one is going to be talking about a Duggar baby when Khloe Kardashian's ex-husband is fighting for his life.

Right?! Jessa better squeeze her legs together, because the bulk of the magazines are going to be all over the Kardashian mess.
