SunnyBeBe August 22, 2018 Share August 22, 2018 There were comments discussing Caryn's adult son's drug recovery over on the Episode thread, and I wanted to respond, but, felt this was the proper place, since, there have not been anything about that topic on the Episode as of date. It appears that Caryn's son admits that he gave his mom quite a time (nightmare) with his addiction behavior and that he is very grateful to her for all that she did to help him. It seems to me that she was not a person to blame, but, to thank. It's a real ordeal to have a child who suffers with substance abuse and addiction. I bet Caryn is thrilled and thankful that her son is still alive. https://radaronline.com/exclusives/2018/08/matt-roloffs-girlfriend-caryn-chandlers-son-says-hes-sober-after-drug-nightmare/ 6 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/45178-little-people-in-the-media/page/7/#findComment-4611994

Of course, Florence has caused some to close recently, until further notice. Also, I noticed that Roloff Farm is only open from Friday-Sunday weekly. That cuts out a lot of days they could have school groups coming in. Man, they must really rake in the money to be able to make a profit on only 3 days per week. Celia Rubenstein September 16, 2018 Share September 16, 2018 Thanks, @Rap541... that link led to me spending 45 minutes going down a Gypsy Sisters rabbit hole, ha FYI it turns out Mellie is as big a thief as her mother, albeit a far less slick one. Rap541 September 16, 2018 Share September 16, 2018 Heheheh, the Gypsy shows always amused me because my dad's English mother managed to reveal before the dementia kicked in that we weren't really just Cockneys (think, the poor people on Call the Midwife - and no joke, the nicest thing my dad said about England was that it was a third world country he was glad to never see again) but that her father was <gasp> not origanlly a Baker, but a Tuck and was Irish Traveler who had married a Rominischal girl, her mother, and they left the clan because you know... ONLY WHORES AND SLUTS MIX. But Hellie Mellie and her ilk remind me why being white bread middle class isn't the worst choice my family could have made. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/45178-little-people-in-the-media/page/7/#findComment-4676910

SunnyBeBe March 13, 2019 Share March 13, 2019 (edited) OMG.....April 2 starts the new season. It looks like it's going to be VERY interesting. I got a preview video in bottom right corner of screen, when I clicked on this article, but, I can't find a separate link for it. In the article there are photos and everyone looks quite happy, though, the one of Zach, Tori and Jackson was taken a while ago. https://people.com/tv/little-people-big-world-season-14-supertease/ Spoiler So, it looks like there will be some challenges for Zach and Tori this season. Zach's back is really bothering him AND there's money trouble. I have a relative who is a family law specialist and with the level of contention Matt and Amy seemed to have it's quite likely they only managed to get through the actual settlement without attempting to lock in any future plans. Plus there are differing state laws about what you can put in a decree. Did someone find the decree online at one time? There have been so many, this could be the last pumpkin season, or Jeremy saying how sad he would be if he can't take his kids to the farm. Are they really selling it his time? Is it kind of weird if they both marry the first person they dated after their divorce? I always thought after a 20+ year marriage you should date at least a few different people. Amy has said how she jumped into marriage after only spending a short time with Matt. I was divorced years ago, I took over a year just for me, then I dated a variety of people and found "forever" husband who was very different then what I thought I needed or wanted. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/45178-little-people-in-the-media/page/7/#findComment-5150184

Yeah, really sick of Matt pulling the old, tired “I’m thinking about selling the farm” line out of his ass. Really old, really tired. Here’s why I don’t think that will happen. The farm, at this point, is the show. That doesn’t mean it needs to be, it just is. They could retool the whole thing to be the Zak and Tory show, focusing in on how they are raising the next generation of little people and comparing and contrasting it with what we saw as issues in Matt and Amy, or even Zak’s generation. I would watch that and probably enjoy it. It may be more like the original idea for this show, before it became the Amy vs. Matt show. And for that reason, I would not like to see either one of them buy the other out and effectively be pushed out of the show. Of course we know a total sale will NEVER happen, as it will cut off Matt and Amy’s revenue stream and that won’t work. I doubt that Amy can make a sustainable living off of cakes, and Caryn would flat out leave Matt if there were no money for real estate, nice trips and what not. Don’t forget, she would lose her “job” too. OTOH, maybe Matt and Amy may have invested wisely and be ready for this . . . 5 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/45178-little-people-in-the-media/page/7/#findComment-5151337

Yes apparently they have to be very careful because they gain weight so easily. I'm basing this on different comments on other "little people" shows... Dr. Jen Arnold from the "little couple" has mentioned it and the "Johnstons" on that other show have discussed it as well..... And IIRC Amy might have mentioned it in the past. Joan of Argh September 10, 2020 Share September 10, 2020 That actually looked interesting.. So Zach wants to buy his mom out and become more involved with the farm. I wonder if they'll move into Amy's old house or do something else for housing, good luck selling the house of a million stairs. I'm still wondering why Amy left her home if it was so difficult emotionally, maybe she couldn't afford to buy Matt out of the farmhouse side and do all the ongoing upkeep, it's kind of a huge rambling house, with a large in ground pool etc. that would be expensive to keep going but why didn't Chris move in.. certainly they could have afforded it if they took it on together? I remember months ago tori was stressing about Lilah and Lilah was fussing and crying a lot but in the last few months she's smiling and seems like a happy baby, I wonder if she had a procedure for the hydrocephalus? Chris got his nose snapped when he dared to say that it was 5 months and that Amy needed to pick up the pace... I wonder what she did with all the junk that was bogging her down, did she finally realize it was garbage or did she pack it all up and drag it to her new place. Jmo but it looked more interesting than last season which was just Lilahs birth and Amy trying to make up her mind and move. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/45178-little-people-in-the-media/page/7/#findComment-6339003

floridamom September 11, 2020 Share September 11, 2020 Wow, I noticed how Amy jumped on Chris too when he suggested (politely) that she get her act and crap together and finally move out of that house. She can be quite nasty and hateful towards him. If I were Chris, I would run for the hills and not look back. Doesn't this grown man see the writing on the wall? This is a preview of what his life will be with her after they are married and Amy 'relaxes' her company manners when she's around him. I hope his real friends have advised him to move on. 8 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/45178-little-people-in-the-media/page/7/#findComment-6340033
EllaWycliffe September 11, 2020 Share September 11, 2020 I mean, I'll be honest, I just rewatched that clip in case I missed Amy screaming in rage at Chris. That didn't happen. She spoke at him with a normal tone of voice. In a relationship, a man is not so overvalued that he must always be spoken to as though he's the leader and everyone else is a submissive seeker of favors, always gentle and sweet and ready to submit to his will. As much as I don't agree with the lengthy exit of the big house - better to just hire movers and get stuff moved instead of this car load by car load routine over months - Amy is allowed to be emotional and yet this clip was hardly "Amy screaming in rage at Chris." I'm sure Chris has seen the show and he's shown flashes of temper so yes, Amy is allowed as well. Frankly, I'd feel more sorry for Matt in these clips if he wasn't merrily pressing Amy's buttons and tacitly encouraging the situation by allowing the lengthy move out. 1 11 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/45178-little-people-in-the-media/page/7/#findComment-6340209
Butterycup September 13, 2020 Share September 13, 2020 The new season looks interesting. I hope little Lilah doesn’t have hydrocephalus. And if she does, Tori’s a damn fool for continuing to place those headbands on her daughter’s head. Those things give me a tension headache just looking at them. I can’t imagine poor little Lilah with no hair to cushion that elastic. On a slightly superficial note, this is the best I’ve ever seen Zach. He definitely looks better scruffy than clean shaven. I see, Matt’s still instigating crap, Amy’s still taking the bait, and Caryn is still meddling in their relationship. 1 2 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/45178-little-people-in-the-media/page/7/#findComment-6343350
Quof September 13, 2020 Share September 13, 2020 You can see in some of Tori's Instagram photos that the headband does leave an indentation in the baby's child. I may have posted a comment, more than once. 2 2 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/45178-little-people-in-the-media/page/7/#findComment-6343571
EllaWycliffe September 13, 2020 Share September 13, 2020 I asked a friend who is a doctor - those stretchy headbands might cause headaches if they are too tight but they don't cause hydrocephalus. 1 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/45178-little-people-in-the-media/page/7/#findComment-6343806
seasons September 13, 2020 Share September 13, 2020 Gee zach, imagine having an infant, a toddler and a huge dog - and one or both parents having to go to a real job every day. You chose to hAve children and that huge, untrained dog. Amy is a bitter little pill. I will be shocked if this wedding happens. 9 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/45178-little-people-in-the-media/page/7/#findComment-6344205
