Welp, looks like folks have come and gone again, so whatever bump Steve Monavie Burton gave to the show has now disappeared, heh...

I blame that on nothing engaging going on "around" the Jason story. I remember many years ago coming back to the show when Robin came back and I heard that Robert was going to maybe make an appearance too and I stuck around because they seemed to be relaunching the hospital staff (and Robin and Patrick hooked me).  I still knew some of the other characters and was invested in them. Now? Still Carly /Sonny focused and the other characters are bleh... I don't know or care who anybody is on this show. Dante lost me years ago, Maxie and Lulu were ok but not leading lady material in my book because I never got hooked on any of their romances (which sounds awful but Thats what soaps are for to me - grew up in the age of super couples) even though they should have been natural leads due to their parentage.  I took a peek out of curiosity for how they'd handle the return but I'm not watching.

I refuse to believe anyone, anywhere, in this galaxy has ever (I'm paraphrasing) 'screamed "More Valentin, please!"'

For a moment I thought the little kid he was calling the "Helen Mirren of daytime" was the other one of the two rotating Faiths on Y&R who is also little Max Fuller's beard on Fuller House, but no, this is the other eight year old child.

I don't have a clue who he is talking about but its just a stupid comparison to make.  You can't be the "Helen Mirren of daytime" at 8 years old.; you would need to have experience to be worthy of that comparison.  How about "the Jodi Foster of daytime" or any other actress that was a famous, noteworthy child actress.

That was such a promising scene! I know there were off-screen reasons for dropping it, but that was the most interested I've ever been in that story.

Valerie would have been a great spoiler for Kristina/Prof or Kiki/Dillon. It's too bad that they didn't incorporate her into the canvas before shoving her into that underwritten mess with Dante/Lulu

The front page of this morning's NY Daily News blasted ACTOR/ARTISTE James Franco, reporting that he's been accused of sexual harassment and other bad things. The first thing that ran through my mind was, gee, wouldn't this be a great excuse to get rid of the murderhobo on GH? Just about all of the others accused of gross misbehavior have had connections quickly disassociate with them, canceling projects, etc. While Uncle Frank would undoubtedly fight for his pet, I'll bet Big Boss Mickey Mouse would overrule him. The House of Mouse does not care to be linked to anything unseemly. I know, I know, and I want a cool car that gets 200 miles to the gallon and is invisible to police radar, unlimited  calorie-free Bordeaux, and carte blanche at Amazon...

Yup. It was Ally Sheedy, and then some others on Twitter after Ally accused him.

@Sarah Joy Brown
"For all of the many years I work with Steve Burton and Maurice Bernard, all of the years, at ABC, even after winning three Emmy’s, I was paid less then 1/2 their salary. #Truth

This makes me have some questions, not all of them necessarily leading up to the statement "SBr should have been paid as much as MB", but just wanted to relay the tweet.

I do think she should have been paid as much as Burton, certainly later in her run as Carly.

I guess that is partly why they brought her back as a new character, so they could have a reason to not pay her as much.

Genie Francis, half of probably the most famous soap couple ever, couldn't get parity with her male co-star. It's a disgusting, terrible, misogynistic situation. UGH.

(And there's the news that Mark Wahlberg was paid something like $1.5 million for reshoots on that Getty-kidnapping movie and Michelle Williams got the basic $80 per diem. And Wahlberg is one of the most notoriously overpaid actors [in the sense of his salary vis-à-vis what his movies bring in] around.)

I don't get the feeling of hate from SBr pointed at MB and SB. She is just stating a truth. So I don't see her saying a fact as blame towards MB and SB. So WTF? Fuck those haters.

Didn't Genie Francis have to leave GH to get the salary and perks that she wanted?

And that Wahlberg news was just disgusting. Michelle Williams got like lunch money to work. And Wahlberg leveraged it to up his fee. The only actor who really needed full salary was Christopher Plummer.
