I just watch the clip of the show. LW didn't say that she was single now. She was recounting a story from years ago when she and Donnell went to awards ceremony together (he drove them rather them sharing an Uber ride) and how a rumor was started that they were dating and he apologized to her. But LW just laughed it off because she was newly single (at that time after getting divorced) and said he was gorgeous and it was a fun rumor.

Jon Lindstrom (Kevin) and ex Cady McClain (Dixie, AMC) are going to Michele Val Jean's Beyond the Gates on CBS.

No word yet on whether JL is doing the Wally Kurth two-step where he will recur on two soaps at the same time, or if these are contract roles. I personally find Kevin and Laura to be a very boring pairing of two great characters, but I will miss Kevin if he goes. Happy for the actors though.

I hope BTG will give Lindstrom all the room his talent merits. I thought he preferred to be less on screen for personal projects, etc. but this leads me to think GH had a great talent they chose not to use.

He played a crooked prison owner on SWAT. He’s shown he can play both good and bad, and excels at bad ❤️. I’ll miss him on GH but Kevin has barely been more than an occasional mention for a very long time so I look forward to watching his talent on BTG.

In my market, GH will be going directly against Beyond the Gates at 2 pm so hard decisions might ensue.

They seem to be specifically using the term "guest star" for both of them, so maybe JL will recur on both.  I'd almost prefer he go full time to Gates, so I will have one fewer reasons to stay with GH.  His character has been so terribly underused on GH, when there have been so many opportunities for better.

Due to an unexpected absence (likely bc of the LA fires), Jonathan Jackson is being temp recast on Tuesday with yes, Guy Wilson (one of the Will Hortons on DAYS). Amazingly, GH decided to keep the script unchanged:

I will say for whatever the reasons are GH has more temp recast than any other soap……..EVER! You never see Y&R or B&B do it. It’s so weird.

I think the block taping has something to do with need to temp recast. Remember when we had episodes where Michael went back and forth between CD and the temp? That was because of block taping, I believe.

There are a series of bts specials for BTG all this week at 1:00 pm (CT) on CBS/Paramount+.  JL has a clip on Monday's, where I'm assuming he was dressed in character and looking pretty darn good.

It's not a knock against the actor, but looks-wise I thought his friend/boyfriend Toby (???) looked like he was a better fit to play Aiden.

Charlie Besso is a better visual choice but again, I am a bit amazed he took this tiny part and doubt he will be with a soap for long.

I do think Cassidy isn't bad but the SORAS is still jarring.

This makes it difficult for kids who may have grown up on one soap and then moved to another in their teens or early twenties.

I did not recognize Eden McCoy in that picture. She looks in her late twenties.

Most of those kids would most likely be recurring and not get their first contract until they hit their midteen/late teen years when they may get some meaty material.

The SAG Awards felt almost like the SOD Awards for a bit there tonight. Several soap stars in the Memoriam segment (Leslie, Johnny Wactor, Drake, Wayne), and then a whole segment called "Soap Starts" with big stars who did soaps early. They included Tom Selleck, Angela Bassett, Julianne Moore, Susan Sarandon, Alec Baldwin, Ryan Philippe, Michael B. Jordan, John Stamos. Demi got the plum spot at the end, smoldering at Geary.

That picture of EM and JK that she took is very cute.

Gross, Lulu is probably the one who discovers that Gio is BL and Dante's sekrit kid. Those confrontations are going unpleasant to watch, to say the least. And the more I think about Dante and BL having a brief relationship, the more it kind of grosses me out, because they basically grew up together and should consider each other family. Cody would have been a better choice in that respect.
