I think everyone took a pay cut at some point there, so KeMo certainly wasn’t the only one.

I agree. But the rumor was that she refused to take the pay cut. So I think she was addressing that.

I agree that the character has run its course. But it feels that way for pretty much all of them at this point, tbh.

Honestly the BTS action continues to be 1000 times hotter than what we are getting onscreen.  The mess...well, I don't think it bodes well for the show.

For real.  No character has run their course more than Sonny.

Based on the horrific bus running over Finn, I can't say that being a so-called "favorite" of Frank's does much for you. Especially when you consider the limited screentime, and excrement-like writing Finn received for the last three to four years. Me? Still bitter? Nah.

He and JFP - what a disgusting pair they are. then ask them and it's "Oh yah we love soaps."

Damn, now I really want to know what’s going on over there!

Well, now I'm angry.  I'd thought they were writing around some frailty on Tristan's part, but this implies that they are just making choices.  And bad ones.

So much potential lost on so many fronts.  It's almost like they're deliberately writing it into the ground.

That is from several years ago I believe.  I think it's from when Tristian gave that interview where he said something about parking lot Pete, nothing bad, but it was taken badly by him and his GF.  Wes (I forgot his last name), responded with like basically a novel explaining how he was Julliard trained, blah blah blah.  And Tristian was offscreen for many months as punishment for saying that Wes is a gentleman who was being asked to play a monster, or something like that.  He was quite definitely punished for it.  He finally was permitted to come back, I don't know if he had to bend the knee to LW first, or whether being forced offscreen for a set period of time was considered punishment enough.

Okay, now I'm back to worrying about TR.

Also, and this may belong in the Unpopular Opinion thread, but I actually think Wes Ramsey is a very good actor who was woefully wasted with the roles he was given on GH.  I guess I agree with TR on that.

In my eyes, he's nowhere near as bad as people said at the time, but he's not very good.  For me, he's average.  I think he was fine.  He wasn't a bad actor.  I don't want him back, but he's fine.

I agree that Ramsey is generally fine. I also agreed with Tristan Rogers that he was miscast in that role. He was at his best in the earliest part of it, when the story they were going with was that "Peter" hated his father. When the character showed his true colors (or the behind-the-scenes team thought things were getting dull and decided to have him embrace his heritage, whichever), he didn't have the heft to be an effective big-bad. I don't really know how to put it better than that; he just never worked. And since the story keeping him around was the endless Maxie pregnancy of 2020-21, I can't think of him without thinking about that whole mess (like the time he was chasing her through the woods, and we were supposed to believe she could outrun him).

He is one of many male newcomers over the last 10-15 years to arrive with great fanfare and then depart to few tears from the fan base. Rory, Dev, Oscar, Nathan, Griffin, Levi, Austin, Neil, Dustin (that teacher Lulu dated for about 15 minutes before they were both in the explosion)...by no means a complete list. It's not as though they've done a great job of introducing new women either, but my very unscientific accounting says they've really struggled with the new men.

LW knows where her bread is buttered, so she's going to be a team player until the end. I don't mean that as a criticism—she's been successful in soaps for decades, and that's not an easy thing to do, especially these days. I think she sometimes overdoes it—for a while there she was saying things like "We rule!" in the press about Sonny/Carly/Jason—but she never gives less than 100 percent, which is more than we can say for her main male costars.

It could have definitely been Frank, the king of petty, but he wasn't the one who wrote that novel-length response on Instagram.  I think it was Instagram?  I don't dislike Wes, please let me be clear.  I don't dislike him at all.  But that was really cringe.

No, LW never phones it in, that is something no one can accuse her of.  I certainly have never said that.  Mo, yep, he's another story.

Yes, we all know that she and BM were upset with the storyline when SBu returned in 2017. And? She got her way for so long and couldn't handle it when production stopped catering to her. She's been phoning it in for years in retaliation and I don't feel sorry for her at all.

Posting that on the anniversary of BM's death was certainly a choice.

If his loved ones feel like he went downhill after his GH treatment, it makes sense to connect it to the anniversary posts.

I enjoyed Wes on CSI: Miami. That show wasn't really known for it's drama though. I didn't like his stint on DAYS or his character on Charmed.

I am watching MONSTERS: THE LYLE AND ERIK MENENDEZ BROTHERS right now and I can see why Ryan Murphy tagged Nicholas Chavez as a breakout star.  I can also see that it is clearly a Ryan Murphy production - before the first episode is over, both male leads have been shown either nude or nearly so.

Episode 4 gives Chavez the big Give Me The Emmy monologue and he knocks it out of the park.

I don't think GH is going to get Chavez back for a good long while.

A fan on Twitter/X posted a nice photo of Will and Nick and I could not help but think of JJ and Tyler and their ‘90s departures. The trades have been very complimentary of both the young Monsters leads.

FWIW, there seem to be a lot of versions out there of how exactly things ended with Nick. My takeaway is the show should do better in general about exits.

Not to be a Pollyanna about it, but to my mind Nick got from his time at GH what I think most young people come there looking for…

Nick also cultivated a very loyal following through his Patreon/monthly Zooms, Discord, and social media activity around Sprina. The billboard in Times Square, plane over the studio, and People cover had to be cool. He also called Frank a "friend and mentor" in his parting note. Hopefully, he feels okay about things from his side and there is no ill feeling.

NAC left of his own accord. I don’t aee why there would be any bad blood between him and Frank. He’s young and talented. I don’t think anyone was under the illusion that he’d stay long term. He’s grateful for the opportunity and has now moved on. He hasn’t bad mouthed GH or anyone affiliated with it, nor do I think he ever would.

I think we're going to see a lot of both NAC and Cooper going forward.  I think 2 stars were born here.  The reviews on both of them are stellar, and they are both gorgeous and have presence.  It's interesting, for all of the shit Ryan Murphy gets (and much of it is deserved), he does know how to discover talent.   Of course, whoever cast NAC on GH isn't bad at that themselves, right?  Kudos.  But there's been plenty of real talent on daytime over the years who went nowhere.  A Ryan Murphy production is different.  I have seen so many on his shows and then watched them skyrocket.  The new Superman is very exciting, for one example.  But I am a huge Superman fan!

I binged the whole series last night and NAZv was amazing! I thought the show was well done.I vaguely remember the murders but didn’t pay much attention to the details at the time. After watching the series I still don’t know what to believe about the brothers. But both actors were outstanding. Sure it was disturbing to watch but it was supposed be. I can’t say i enjoyed watching it but I absolutely enjoyed seeing NAC’s range as an actor. I’d be very surprised if they aren’t both nominated for Emmy’s next year.

Does anyone know why we have temporary Sam? Did Kelly Monaco find out her character was being killed off so stopped coming to work? Or was she unable to work for some reason and they decided to get rid of the character? It just seems strange to me to see someone else in the role knowing Sam is about to die.

The reason I read, I think from a podcaster, is that it is due to block taping and when the scenes were filmed.

Other things have been intimated on Twitter/X by ostensibly connected fans such as Kelly already being gone, but as with anything online that is unverified and unsourced with competing versions, I take it with a grain.

The show should try to make exits clean for everyone’s benefit. This doesn’t look good on anyone, the actors get caught in it, and it causes drama among fans.

Well, I'm happy that NAC is getting good reviews, but everything I've heard about the series is absolutely vile and it's getting roasted.  Hopefully someone outside of Ryan Murphy sees his talent and casts him in something that won't have people cringing in horror.

It was dreadful but a fantastic vehicle to showcase an actors talent, which I think both young leads did. I don’t expect NAC to ever come back but then again I thought that about JJ when he left after Deep End of the Ocean brought in rave reviews. The real question is whether GH will still be on the air, which…Franks made it last longer than I expected.

I am excited to have Lulu back and as much as I grew to hate Babe, Alexa is a very capable and charming actress. I hope they do a good job of reviving the Spencer clan on screen.

I'd find it kind of a hilarious statement on the state of this show if they killed Sam off with the temp replacement in the role. I've seen some stuff saying that the stuff we're seeing with LH as Sam now was filmed right at the same time they filmed the baby's funeral. So I'm not sure if we're going to see her back, and it just seems like LH has been there a long time because of the block taping schedule, or if LH is going to be wrapping things up.

That interview is hilarious. Portia was wrong to tamper with the lab results, full stop. We might understand why she did it, but no matter how justified she felt, it was wrong and possibly illegal.

LOL at "stunning move." As soon as the results showed there was no change in Heather's cobalt levels, it was so obvious Portia had meddled.

I really am so happy for him. Nick is a non-nepo baby from a normal (upper?) middle class Florida family. GH gave him a great education and a toe hold into the entertainment industry that he's using full-tilt. I'm definitely excited to see William Lipton's series as well.

The actress comes across as delusional as the character.

Any halfway secure database would show who edited the record, when and where. Since Portia didn't know Brad was back in the lab, I'm assuming she didn't sign in using his credentials.  (Not that she should be able to do that IRL but in the movies everyone always seems to have root or system admin access.)
